Elfman and Evergreen end up falling off the path while escaping from monsters and they meet the mysterious boy. The boy gets confused when he sees them and when he finds out that the island is controlled by a guild, he decides to leave, but then he involuntarily unleashes a black wave that destroyed the life of those it touched. It almost killed Elfman and Evergreen if it weren't for Natsu who intervened.

Natsu: "Who are you ? You better answer or else!"

The boy sheds tears upon seeing Natsu,

??: "Natsu..."

"Hey Ash-hair ?"

(Y/n): "Yeah what's the hkkk..."

(Y/n) suddenly lurches against a tree clutching his chest

"Hey stop acting, I know you went to drama school that doesn't mean you get to do it anytime" I ask a bit confused.

(Y/n) doesn't answer and grunts against the tree holding his chest.

"Hey (Y/n) you okay, buddy ? We can go back to the camp" I ask as I notice him now trying to support himself against the tree, now fully concerned. This guy won't do stuff like this unless...

I am pulled from my thoughts as I hear a low growl like that of an animal and get instantly alerted.

"This is bad (Y/n)'s not good and we got this to deal with..." However the growl becomes a bit too louder and I notice the source of it, who is (Y/n).

(Y/n): *growling* "Kill..."

"Buddy you okay ?" I ask now really concerned and a bit scared

(Y/n): *growling* "Kill"

I hear the words and take a step back as I notice something else, (Y/n)'s nails have grown to the point where they can be considered claws and his teeth have grown noticeably sharper including his chipped left canine. However what had forced me was the killing intent (Y/n) was giving, (Y/n) lifts his head and takes a sniff of the air.

(Y/n): *growling* "Kill"

This prompts Natsu to attack him with a punch. The boy is unaffected and stands up again while thinking that it seems Natsu isn't ready to destroy him yet and cries. Suddenly, he begins emanating a black aura again and starts to activate the that is out of his control. Evergreen, Elfman and Happy run from it but Natsu gets caught up in it. When the wave clears, it shows that Natsu is all right, save for his scarf, which has suddenly turned black. Natsu tries to look for the boy, but he has disappeared.

(Y/n) suddenly goes down on his knees holding his head.

"(Y/n)!!!" I rush at him and find the killing intent to disappear along with the changes which happened to him.

(Y/n): "Puss..."

"You alright (Y/n)" I ask him.

(Y/n): *rubbing his head* "That was one nasty headache"

(Y/n) gets up and starts walking in the previous direction we were supposed to,

(Y/n): "Hey you coming ?"

"Dude you alright, you had claws and stuff"

He just stares at me and sighs,

(Y/n): "Puss I get it you didn't see anyone swimsuits, that's why you're hallucinating"

"I AM NOT RAINBOW EYES!!!!" I reply with tickmarks on my head.

(Y/n): "Then let's look for Wendy and Mest"

"Fine" I huff

We both start our journey to look for Wendy and Mest, again.

"I had claws and stuff" The only person I know who could do that, "Mom"

I decide not too think too much about it for now and look at the matter at the hand.

In the sky, a black airship flies towards Tenrou Island: the airship of Grimoire Heart, a third of the Balam Alliance.

A woman looks at the mysterious dark-clothed boy resting against a tree from a lacrima orb, the woman is revealed to be Ultear Milkovich who was once Jellal's confidant.

Ultear: *resting the orb on her elbow* "We've finally found our quarry and he appears to be in a state of rest. I believe the time is upon us Master Hades"

She tells to man sitting upon a throne of sorts,

Hades: "I shall finally meet the man who showed the world, the true potential of the black arts. His hoard of demons created chaos and death tolls without equal. Catastrophe is his daily bread, in all the history of the magic world he is the true champion of wickedness, the Black Wizard, Zeref. The day is upon us, the abyss of sorcery within our grasps. It's time to get to work. Tenrou Island will run red with the blood of Fairy Tail"

Natsu and Elfman, despite being confronted by the problem of the mysterious boy wandering on the island, decide to continue with the exam. Meanwhile, Mest makes a sinister face as he senses "his" presence and ponders whether he should "report back" or wait a little longer. Back at Grimoire Heart airship,

Hades: "This is a momentous day indeed, if all goes as planned we will see the return of Zeref, The Black Wizard" *clenches his fist* "The ambitions of Grimoire Heart will no longer be a fantasy. Now that we have gathered all the necessary keys we will awaken that what sleeps within Zeref"

Ultear: "Master you're looking at the opposition" *holds up the orb* "Our plan's shall come crashing down should Fairy Tail decide to intervene. They defeated one of the Balam Alliance's most powerful guild, The Oracion Seis. The strongest among them are currently gathered on Tenrou Island, awakening Zeref won't be a simple task"

Blonde man: "Enough with all the wimpy talk, that sad bunch of weaklings shouldn't be called a guild" *points his finger* "I've got more power in this finger" *alights himself in black flames & laughs maniacally* "When I'm done with them, they will be ash beneath my boots" *continues laughing manically*

Ultear: "Beware of overconfidence Zancrow"

Humanoid Goat wearing shades: "Never underestimate one's opponent" *placing his hand over chest* "Even so I have faith we will win this battle"

Silver haired man with silver glasses: *adjusting glasses* "I couldn't agree more Caprico"

Over weight chalk white skinned man: "I... uh... yeah"

Silver haired man with silver glasses: *sparkling* "At last we will unleash our ultimate desires"

Overweight chalk skinned man: "Oh... hohoho"

Silver-haired man with silver glasses: "Our war-drums beat against their cages and cry for violence. We shall dance the waltz of death to their rhythm"

Overweight chalk skinned man: "Uh..." *raises his hand* "I didn't say a word!"

Zancrow: *to the overweight man* "No one understands you tubby!"

Pink haired girl: "Kain Hikaru's statement is deciphered as follows: I feel the same, is that correct?"

Kain: "That's it!"

Pink haired girl: "Rustyrose's previous statement is deciphered. "Desire" means wants, "War-drums refer to hearts"

Ultear: *to the pink haired girl* "Meredy will you be joining us?"

Meredy: "In battle" *nods* "Yes"

Hades: *gets up from his throne* "I am delighted. No one will be able to withstand our might, not even Fairy Tail their strongest wizards will soon know the power of true darkness and eminence that lurks within the abyss. For we are Grimoire Heart, we walk the path of devils and will plunge the world into the darkness. Tonight these devils will bathe Tenrou Island in the blood of fairies" *release dark aura* "I am looking forward for the agony on Makarov's face. Our showdown against the Fairy Tail guild starts now"

Around the island, the S-Class Trial participants continue to look for the grave of Mavis Vermillion while Erza and Juvia depart from the main camp to search for Wendy and Mest. Lucy and Cana have a discussion about the grave's location. Eventually, Lucy finds the hint in the words given by Makarov and figures out where the grave is. Gray and Loke, who had been spying on them,

Loke: "I told you she'd get it"

Gray: "Good luck we ran into them"

Loke: "Now we just follow them and clear the round"

Gray: "Hate to do this to you Lucy but this whole trial's using what you got, and I wouldn't be showing off my S-Class potential if I didn't use you"

Loke: *adjusting glasses and sparkling* "Sounds like a relationship to me"

Gray: "Enough philosophy they're getting away"

Loke: "Right behind you"

Erza and Juvia depart from the main camp to search for Wendy and Mest.

Elsewhere on the island, Gajeel beats up the monster that he and Levy were formerly hiding from. Levy gets frustrated and complains that all Gajeel thinks about is fighting everyone else and not of her at all.

Gajeel: patting Levy's head* "So you wanna get my attention is that it, half pint? In that case all you gotta be is strong enough to challenge me"

Levy: *slowly* "What you're saying is I will never be up to the task because I'm too weak"

Gajeel: "Not that this ain't fun but you got more important..."

Gajeel doesn't get to finish as Levy hits him in the face with her bag and runs away.

Levy: "Fine! Who needs you, you iron-hearted jerk!"

Gajeel: *falling on the ground, with a red mark on face* "What just happened?"

Levy: *running* "What's with him? I was starting to think he was a nice guy until this but he's not. He's just arrogant and selfish" *cries* "I hate him" *hears some rustling* "Leave me alone"

Two figures suddenly attack, and nearly kill, Levy, whom is saved by Gajeel seconds prior to the impact time.

Gajeel: "It's tough to keep track of you, if you run on your own kid. Seriously don't leave my sight again"

Levy nods reaffirming her faith in Gajeel and gets up facing her attackers.

Gajeel: "So who are your new pals?"

Levy: "They aren't any friends of mine"

Levy looks at her attackers who out of which one is humanoid goat, with a prominent flat nose and a goat's beard. He's clad in a set of red samurai like armor with golden edges, consisting of a traditional breastplate bearing Grimoire Heart's symbol on it.

The other is a large, anthropomorphic chicken, distinguished by the addition of human arms alongside chicken wings. He bears Grimoire Heart's symbol on the right side of his neck.

Levy: "Grimoire Heart. I don't understand why anyone from a dark guild would be here?"

Gajeel: "The old man's more creative than I thought if he made these guys part of the trial"

Levy: "Master wouldn't do that, my guess is they snuck upon the island to cause trouble"

Gajeel: *cracks knuckles* "Whatever, I don't care as long as I get to beat someone up. If there's one thing I'm good at, that's cleaning up messes like these. Dealing with the unexpected is a more important skill than fighting. If you can't adapt you don't deserve to get to S-Class"

Levy: "But they are in the most powerful dark guild there is! It's the head of the evil Balam Alliance, we are not allowed to fight them without approval from the council"

Humanoid goat in samurai armor: *laughs* "That's the problem with being in a official guild. What's the point of joining if you're going to be restricted by rules"

Humanoid chicken: "That's no way to fight a war if you ask me" *clucking like a chicken*

Gajeel: "Are you two done talking yet?"

Levy: "Who are you guys?! What are you doing on Tenrou Island?!"

Humanoid goat in samurai armor: "We are a couple of passionate hunters looking for the ultimate prey. I'm Yomazu"

Humanoid Chicken: "And I'm his partner Kowazu"

Gajeel: "What's this ultimate prey, you're looking for?"

Yomazu: "I'm so glad you asked"

Yomazu slashes his sword, creating a character in the air that brings a deafening noise.

Levy: *closing her ears* "He's killing my ears!"

Yomazu: "Our prey is every member of Fairy Tail!"

Grimoire Heart finally makes their move against Fairy Tail in the battle for Zeref.

More doubts continue to be placed upon the real identity of Mest as seen through the lack of information about him. Natsu, still angered for the discoloration of his scarf, continues to look for the boy while simultaneously searching for the grave of Mavis Vermillion. Meanwhile, Gajeel and Levy continue to face off against Kawazu and Yomazu.

Gajeel: *covering his ears* "He's using magic writing! It's just like what you do! Ain't that's right Levy, you hear me?!"

Levy: *covering her ears* "I'm almost positive he's using the eastern version of magic"

Kawazu then charges at the other two,

Levy: *notices Kawazu* "Gajeel he's coming right for us!", "He can't hear me"

Levy grabs Gajeel's shirt to save him from Kawazu. Kawazu then shoots cracked eggs from his mouth towards Levy and Gajeel with a Spell called . Yomazu then appears behind Gajeel and attempts to slash him, but the other man dodges. Levy casts to negate Yomazu's Spell and free from the distracting noise.

Gajeel: "She turned down the volume on me"

Yomazu: "How dare that little girl erase what I've written!"

Gajeel: "My turn"

Gajeel hears everything once more and punches Yomazu in the gut. Meanwhile, Kawazu attacks Levy with his egg bombs but Levy neutralizes them with . However, Gajeel experiences some difficulties as the slashes Yomazu performs with his sword manages to cut through even his . Levy also gets in trouble when she becomes overwhelmed by the amount of eggs Kawazu attacks her with. After getting continuously hit by Yomazu's sword slashes, Gajeel falls.

Levy: "GAJEEL!!!"

Yomazu: "If the best of the guild are as weak as these two then we very well may dispose of them all before the main force arrives"

Kawazu: "Let's take em all down"

Gajeel: *gets up* "There's more of you scumbags"

Kawazu: "This one is still clucking away"

Yomazu: "Haha... we're merely the reconnaissance team, the rest of Grimoire Heart will be arriving shortly"

Gajeel's eyes widen at this information,

Levy: "The rest of the guild..."

Gajeel: *clutching his stomach* "Levy.. run. This ain't gonna be some simple little fight. It will be worse than we can imagine"

Levy: "But I can't just leave you!"

Gajeel: *facing Levy* "GET OUTTA HERE!! YOU GOTTA TELL THE OTHERS WHAT'S GOING ON, I WILL BE OKAY! I CAN HANDLE THESE GUYS, SO MOVE IT!"

She hesitates at first but she does so, but not without creating a large chunk of iron for Gajeel to consume using her magic.

Gajeel: "That's iron"

Levy: *running away* "Stay strong please"

Gajeel replenishes and heals using the iron she provided him with.
