With his fists aflame, Natsu charges at Zancrow and rapidly throws numerous punches which Zancrow blocks with a single arm.

Zancrow: *cackling* "You left yourself wide open dumbass! I'm expecting more power from a dragon-hunter like you, you're not holding back on me are ya?"

Natsu: "You just wait" *grins* "Now that my body's warmed up, I'm ready to fight! You're gonna wish you hadn't asked that question!"

Wendy: "Careful Natsu"

Happy: "He will be fine cause the enemy doesn't stand a chance when he's all fired up like now"

Carla: "But his attacks haven't had any effect, who is that fiend?"

Panther Lily: "He just referred to himself as a

Puss: "I never thought any other types of magic existed?"

Zancrow: "Let me reintroduce myself, I'm one of Grimoire Heart's Seven Kin and the guy who'll kick your ass. I'm known as the named Zancrow"

Natsu: "Well I'm the , I'm Natsu of Fairy Tail"

Zancrow: "Huhuh.. I know all about you dragon-breath, you're famous in The Balam Alliance for all the destruction you leave"

Natsu: "SAY WHAT?!!"

Panther Lily: "Balam Alliance? Care to explain?"

Happy: *raising his hand* "Aye sir. They're bad guys who banded together to wreak havoc"

Carla: "Yes, The Grimoire Heart, Oracion Seis and Tartaros joined forces to create a coalition of dark guilds"

Wendy: "Our coalition of light guilds was able to beat the Oracion Seis"

Puss: "That was a different story though. No one knows about Tartaros so it can be assumed we are facing The Balam Alliance's strongest"

Natsu asks if he was taught by a god or something and Zancrow replies that since Hades could be called a god, then he was taught by a god. Natsu tells him that a real Dragon taught him

Zancrow: "You think I give a crap? Dragons are just flying lizards" *holding up a lizard* "Wanna ask this little guy if he has magic?"

Natsu: *wide-eyed* "HEY MAN IGNEEL'S NOT A FREAKING LIZARD!!!"

Wendy: "Yeah tell him Natsu, Grandeeney is not a lizard either you big meanie"

Carla: "Don't encourage him Wendy"

Zancrow: I would shut up and sit pretty if I were you, I've got my hands full of pinkie but as soon as I'm done with him. You're up next *cackles*

This creeps out both Happy and Wendy and Puss gets protective.

Happy: "He's not messing around"

Puss: *standing in front of the group* "I won't let you"

Natsu: "You better get out of here you guys"

Zancrow: "Bringing out the big guns huh?"

Natsu: *flames in both hands* "

Zancrow: *holding a ball of flame* ""

However Zancrow's flames soon overpower Natsu's,

Wendy: "Natsu!!!"

Carla: "No way!"

Happy: "That guy overpowered him"

Puss: "Using flames nonetheless"

Zancrow: "Enough with the play-by-play, get lost cats!"

Zancrow attacks Happy, Carla, Panther Lily, Puss and Wendy with a cloud of black fire.

Zancrow: "Uh oh it wasn't just the cats, even that puny little brat is a dragon-hunter as well. That will teach her not to mess with me"*laughs*

Carla: "Wendy... are you all right?"

Panther Lily: "To think this barbarian could easily outclass a Dragon Slayer who's as strong as Gajeel. I've never seen anything like it, this must be power of

Natsu springs back and attacks with ,

Zancrow: "Nice try pal but don't you know it was the divine who granted the humans, the knowledge of fire. It wasn't created by mankind or dragons, it was the gods"

Zancrow takes on the attack head on and eats it.

Puss: "I-impossible he ate fire just like N-Natsu"

Zancrow: "That's some tasty fire you got there noting I like more than the flavor of violent never-ending flames. Even though you may have enough power to slay a dragon, you could never slay a god. Prepare to witness the power of Grimoire Heart's magic. "

Zancrow's attack sends them hurtling down a cliff.

Meanwhile, Cana, Lucy, Loke and Gray have a hard time battling Caprico.

Lucy: "I don't understand.. what's going on?"

Cana: *raising her cards* "How come we haven't been able to land a single hit on this goat freak?!"

Gray: "Come on Loke!"

Loke: "Gotcha!"

Both of them try to attack Caprico simultaneously, however Caprico beats them both up.

Lucy: "Again.. something feels off. I'm sensing a strange presence what could it be"

Gray: "This guy's strong he's able to fend us all off. Who is he?!"

Cana: "I've had enough!" *throws cards* "I'm not about to waste my time over a stupid goat"

Cana's attacks let out a stream of electricity which somehow miss Caprico,

Cana: "What the.. how'd I miss him again?"

Lucy: "What's his secret? It's not like he's using some sort of magic to dodge us from what I can tell he's not able to read our moves like Cobra"

Gray: "I can't explain it but I just got this feeling. I just know that none of our attacks are gonna hit him. What's the use of fighting if you can't win, we're screwed!"

Caprico: "Very perceptive of you. You are powerless against me in battle no matter how many times you attack, you will never be able to hit me. You might as well give up, there's nothing you can do. Revere and worship me"

Lucy: "Here it is again, I feel this strange pressure"

Gray: "Man I wish I knew what was going on?Where's this sense of hopelessness coming from?"

Loke: "Caprico, there's no doubt about it. It's definitely him. This could be bad especially for Lucy"

Later, after being launched near Makarov's position by Zancrow's attacks, Natsu remarks on Makarov's wounds.

Makarov: *opens his eyes* "Natsu.."

Natsu: "How'd you get so beat up? Could you tell me, who did this to ya?"

Makarov: "Natsu listen.. the chances of us defeating Grimoire Heart.. are nil"

Natsu: "You must be out of your mind right now! The gramps I know wouldn't say something like that!"

Makarov: "You're injured my boy. Who did that you?"

Natsu: *tickmarks over head* "This ain't nothing compared to what I'm gonna do to him! The next time I see that chump it's on!"

Makarov: "I beg you Natsu. Gather all the others and leave while you can"

Natsu: *smacking his fist onto ground* "Would you quit talking like that! We're not through the S-Class trials as Fairy Tail's Master you're supposed to support us, not tell us we can't win"

Makarov: "While that's true, there are times when the best thing to do is to retreat"

Natsu: "Master.."

Zancrow then arrives,

Zancrow: "Hahaha well, well, well. It looks like Master Hades did a number on ya eh Makarov?"

Natsu: *gets up* "He's the one who did this"

Makarov: "Let it go my boy. Remember what I just told you"

Natsu: *trembling* "I ain't backing down"

Makarov: *notices Natsu trembling* "Natsu he's trembling in fear"

Zancrow: "Ya having a hard time dragon-hunter. Looks like you're freaking out cause there's sweat dripping from every pore"

Natsu: *noticing his trembling hands* "This feeling, this is fear"

Makarov: "Natsu..."

Zancrow: "Hahaha yep you got it! Can't say I blame ya, it's gotta be terrifying for a runt like you to face my ultimate power. If I were you, I would be trembling in fear too"

Makarov: *to Natsu* "You've done enough get out of here"

Natsu awakens a power from deep inside him and decides to face Zancrow,

Natsu: "He's right, this is fear I'm feeling but it's not the same kind of fear Gildarts was talking about"

Zancrow: "Huh?"

Natsu: *engulfing himself in fire* "I ain't trembling because of you, the only thing I'm afraid of right now is someone else who will do the jerk who beat up gramps before I get the chance to get a few good licks in. You're gonna pay, I'm not gonna let you guys get away this! I will take down Master Hades and I will do it with my own two hands!"

Around the same time, Azuma begins battle with Lisanna and Mirajane. Lisanna and Azuma battle first, with Lisanna being able to cast a fast chain of spells, though Azuma manages to counterattack.

Mirajane: "Lisanna!!"

Lisanna: "Just stay back, I got this"

Azuma: "I'm impressed, you're much better fighter than I expected. That's it allow me to show you why I'm confident you'll never defeat me"

Azuma creates some explosions which blow Mirajane and Lisanna away.

Azuma: "You can't win a fight on spirited sentiment alone, it takes skill and mine greatly surpasses yours. Are you really willing to risk your life in an attempt to prove your strength to me?"

Lisanna: *transforms back* "What do you mean by that?! This isn't about difference in power. You're stronger than me who cares, we just wanna protect our camp so our friends no where to find us"

Azuma: "Frankly I couldn't care less. I was sent here to fight you so that's what I will do.."

But he is cut off by Mirajane who attacks him swiftly and quietly from behind.

Lisanna: *to Mirajane* "You okay?"

Mirajane: "I want you to go and look for the others. Meanwhile I will stay here and keep this guy busy"

Lisanna: "I can't leave you alone with him"

Azuma: "Where did that come from? I barely sensed any magic power from her before but then she suddenly gave off a tremendous sense of pressure"

Lisanna: *stands* "I'm gonna fight with you. If we work together we have a better chance of beating him"

Mirajane: "You're just as stubborn as before, very well then"

Azuma: "Two against one means that I don't have to hold back"

Mirajane: *releasing her magic* "Mess with our guild.. no our family and you're in for a world of hurt"

Zancrow laughs at Natsu's claim and vows that he'll make it so that he won't even be able to joke about saying something like that. Enraged Natsu punches him down and away. Zancrow claims that his type of flames don't hurt at all and then blocks Natsu's follow-up kick. He blows him away with his own flaming fists. Mercilessly, he attacks Natsu once more with one arm in flames and destroys the surrounding trees as he declares that the flames of a God are scorching halberds that destroy everything. As Zancrow laughs, Natsu regains his balance on a stump and uses the trunk of the tree to crush Zancrow. However, Zancrow erupts from inside the trunk, tackles Natsu and then casts , enveloping Natsu in black flames.

Zancrow: "You should quit fighting cause once my flame gobbles up there's no getting out until you've been turned to ash"

Makarov: "Natsu.. no.."

Natsu: "Oh yeah that's what you think. I can still eat my way outta here you know"

Zancrow: "Go ahead and try it but there's no way a wizard with Dragon's power eat my divine flames"

Natsu attempts to eat it but still fails,

Zancrow: *clasping his hands* "Don't tell me I didn't warn ya!"

Makarov extends his hand and enlarges it through his to grab Zancrow.

Zancrow: "A giant huh?"

Natsu: "Gramps!"

Makarov: *holding Zancrow in his hand* "How dare you! What kind of heartless monster would harm my children right before my eyes, stop before I crush you like an insect and when I'm done there won't be any trace of you!"

Zancrow: "How have you still got strength left old man?"

Zancrow surrounds himself in fire that slowly scorches Makarov's skin.

Zancrow: "Oh come on you better let go of me soon otherwise the only thing that's gonna vanish without a trace is your arm"

Although in pain, Makarov tightens his grip around Zancrow.

Zancrow: "You crazy! Let go, do you wanna really lose that arm?"

Makarov: "If that's what it takes, so be it"

Natsu: "Please just let go of him gramps!"

Zancrow: *increasing the heat of flames* "Let.. Me.. Go"

Natsu: "I'm begging you, let go!"

Makarov: *still crushing Zancrow* "I pity you young man because you don't know THE POWER OF FAMILY!"

Zancrow: "Is it gonna be the dragon-hunter, Makarov or me? Which one of us will kick the bucket first?"

Suddenly, Natsu's disappears and for a moment, Zancrow thinks that Natsu has died. However, both of them become shocked when they see Natsu eating Zancrow's black flames.

Zancrow: "No! Impossible a dragon-hunter shouldn't be able to eat my flames!"

It turns out that Natsu emptied his magical reserves in order to adapt his body into eating an inedible flame. Makarov tosses Zancrow away,

Makarov: *tickmark on head* "HOW COULD YOU BE SO FOOLISH NATSU! DO YOU WANNA DIE!!"

Natsu: *holding flames in one hand & flames in another* "Of course not gramps and I won't let anyone else either. No one's dying at least not on my watch anyway, we're all gonna make it back home to Fairy Tail" *jumps towards Zancrow* "" *brings his hands together* ""

The moment the Natsu's hands are brought together, a gigantic explosion is generated, which destroys the surrounding area and blows Zancrow a considerable distance away from the Natsu and Makarov.

Makarov: "I can't believe he actually won. He's grown so much into an amazing wizard"

Natsu: "Gramps let's keep fighting. I learned a valuable lesson from Gildarts. Sometimes you have to know your limits and fall but now, now isn't one of those times. These people made an enemy out of Fairy Tail we gotta show em nobody can do that, you can never defeat a guild that has as much as heart as we do" *raises his hand* "Not without a fight" *passes out* "R-right gramps"

Makarov: "Natsu!!!"

Meanwhile, Lisanna and Mirajane's battle against Azuma continues,

Azuma: "I know you. You're sisters from Fairy Tail's legendary Strauss family and if that's truly the case, you must be the one known as the 'She-Devil'"

Mirajane: "That's who I used to be"

Lisanna: "But she's just as strong as she was back then!"

Azuma: *smacking his fist into his palm* "Is that so? I have always wanted to battle with a warrior who possesses the power of a true demon. Are you now too weak to fulfill my wish"

Lisanna: "Well I'm ready to take you on!"

Mirajane: "What are you doing Lisanna! You need to get out of here, he's too strong you can't beat him"

Azuma: "I would prefer not to do this but you have forced my hand"

Azuma traps Lisanna in a ticking time bomb.

As Mirajane rushes over to Lisanna and attempts to free her from the bomb,

Azuma: "In three minutes the roots holding her will detonate. Trying to pull it apart is a waste of time and energy, your only hope of stopping it is by defeating me"

Lisanna: *struggling* "I.. can't move!"

Mirajane: *facing Azuma* "You coward!"

Azuma: "You say that and yet I'm the one who's not afraid to fight"

Without a choice, Mirajane uses , even though she knows she won't be able to retain it for long. Mirajane then charges at Azuma and kicks him in the stomach. Azuma says that the feeling of being in battle is the best, and he blasts Mirajane with his . Mirajane then glances over at the time bomb which is at 113 seconds. Lisanna urges her to keep fighting and not pay attention to the time. Azuma then uses his spell, on Mirajane, and it binds her legs and arms. Mirajane struggles to escape the chains, and Azuma activates it which causes multiple explosions to run up the length of the chain towards her.

Mirajane then grows wings and escapes the attack before it makes it to her. Mirajane then flies towards Azuma and the two start fighting using Hand-to-Hand combat.
