Lucy and Happy try to pull Natsu out of some crushing boulders, while (Y/n) is lying on his side reading a cookbook.

(Y/n): *muttering to himself* "Hmm so if I use strawberry sauce along with strawberries for toppings she might like the cheesecake a bit more"

Natsu: "Come on guys! Put your backs into it, would ya?!"

Lucy: *pulling Natsu's head* "I'm afraid I might pull your stupid head-off"

Happy: "Aye"

Lucy: *glaring at (Y/n)* "Why aren't you doing anything?!"

(Y/n): "Who just saved you minutes ago besides for some reason you're always stuck in these damsel-in-distress situations"

Lucy: *posing and twinkling* "What can I do my beauty is both a curse and a blessing"

Happy: "It's a curse, a very bad one"

Lucy: "SHUT IT CAT!"

(Y/n): "And you pyro, can't you use your fire or something?"

Natsu lets go of Happy and Lucy in realization,

Natsu: "Oh yeah"

Lucy/Happy: "Geez"

(Y/n): *sweatdrop* "If he had realized this a bit earlier it would have saved me the trouble of beating up that guy"

Natsu is able to destroy the rocks with his Magic. After his freedom, they find that Zeref has been taken by Ultear.

(Y/n): "Natsu's right this place has the smell of those really expensive ladies perfume, however in reality they smell like the cheap ones"

Natsu: "But she might have done something to mask the smell"

Lucy: *lifts her leg* "Don't forget about Cana she's gone too"

Natsu: "Lucy leave the high-kicking to (Y/n)"

Lucy starts chasing after Happy who has Mr. Cursey in his possession.

(Y/n): "She's been hanging out with you a lot hasn't she?"

Natsu: *smiling* "Yeah I know"

(Y/n): "I mean she's getting as dumb and stupid as you"

Natsu starts sulking and has dark clouds hanging over his head.

Natsu: *faux-tears* "(Y/n) is a bully"

Lucy: "Anyway as much as I'm worried about Cana" *bends Mr. Cursey at an unnatural angle* "We have to get at this Zeref creep first"

Happy also bends at the same angle as Mr. Cursey,

Happy: "I'm sorry Lucy. I will never do it again"

Lucy: *noticing a depressed Natsu* "What happened to him?"

(Y/n): "Oh I said him you're being as stupid and dumb as Natsu"

Even Lucy enters the depressed state along with Natsu.

Lucy: *lines over face* "(Y/n) is a bully"

(Y/n): "Enough with the comedic act, now you two explain what has been going on?"

Lucy, Natsu and Happy explain everything that they have encountered to (Y/n) who is now sitting on a tree's overgrown root with his eyes closed.

(Y/n): "Well so they want to take over the world, frankly that doesn't matter to me" *opens his eyes* "What does it matter is they hurt Pops. The moment I get my hands on them, they're gonna regret they were even born!"

Natsu: "But how did they even get here?"

Lucy: "Hey wait they might have traveled on some ship to get here right and that dark-haired woman said she was taking back Zeref to see with her Master didn't she? I bet whatever ship they came on is anchored near the island. That's gotta be where she's taking him"

(Y/n): "Fluffy do you think you can fly around and look for it"

Happy: *rubs back of his head* "I would but I'm kinda out of power, sorry"

(Y/n): *rubs Happy's head* "No worries, we can go back to Pops and Wendy, maybe Carla and Lily can look"

In Route E, Cana walks forward determinedly to the grave of Mavis Vermillion. She thinks about finally being able to tell "him" the truth once she's an S-Class Mage when she stumbles upon a bright light.

Cana: *wide-eyed* "Is that it?"

Meanwhile, Gray is exploring the forest when he hears rustles and finds a woman who he thought was Ur, Ultear, carrying Zeref on her shoulders.

Gray: "What?!"

After getting over the shock of her resemblance to his former teacher, he decides to follow her.

At the Grimoire Heart ship, Hades meets with a man named Bluenote, a powerful Grimoire Heart Dark Mage who wishes to join the battle. Hades initially does not permit him, but he insists that if another one of the Seven Kin of Purgatory is defeated, he will head out. Elsewhere on the sea, Lahar concludes that he will contact the Magic Council HQ about the events on Tenrou Island especially with the information that Bluenote Stinger is among Grimoire Heart. However, Doranbolt contradicts him, asking for a little more time, and teleports out with the Communications Lacrima.

Doranbolt reappears at Wendy's group just moments after Natsu, Lucy, Happy and (Y/n) arrive.

Wendy: "What are you doing here?"

Doranbolt: "Please don't be afraid Wendy, I guess you could say I'm on a rescue mission. I can use my magic to transport your guild members to somewhere safe, I will get you from this island as far away as possible. But first I need to know where everybody is to do that"

Natsu: "We don't need your help, okay pal"

Carla: "What makes you think we will trust anyone who works in the interest of the Magic Council"

Panther Lily: "This is our problem not yours and we are more than capable of taking care of it ourself"

He warns that due to Grimoire Heart and Zeref the Magic Council might fire Etherion upon the island. However, they refuse as they believe it is their guild's problem alone and they won't go down without a fight.

Doranbolt: "Are you threatening the Magic Council? Some lowly wizards?"

(Y/n): "Lowly wizards huh? That's why 2 years ago I was given an invitation to join the Ten Strongest Wizards in Ishgar huh?"

Everyone in the group is stunned at the what (Y/n) just said,

(Y/n): "Whether it's the Grimoire Heart or the goddamn Council, Fairy Tail doesn't back down " *glares at Doranbolt* "You attack us and there will be severe consequences to pay, consequences which will make you wish hadn't messed with us in the first place!"

Erza and Juvia experience troubles in their battle against Meredy. With Juvia down, Erza decides to take on Meredy herself. However, Meredy continues to aim for Juvia, saying that she is number thirteen in her list of people to kill and so she would dispose of her quickly, she adds that Erza is only the fifth, (Y/n) is fourth, Gildarts is the third and Makarov is the second.

Erza: "Master Makarov is two? You mean to tell me there's a higher priority target than the master of our guild"

Meredy: "Number one is that man Gray Fullbuster"

Erza: "Why him? Why choose Gray?"

Meredy: "Because he has her blood on his hands. Ultear's mother died because of him. THAT MAN CAN NEVER BE FORGIVEN FOR THE PAIN HE CAUSED ULTEAR, WHEN I FIND HIM I WILL TEAR HIM LIMB FOR LIMB!"

Meredy, in her anger, surrounds Erza with her blades. However, as the blades prepare to assault Erza, they are knocked away by a large wave of water. Juvia stands up with a dark look on her face with her head slightly tilted,

Juvia: "Now you've done it, if you dare carry out that threat. I swear to you, you will never live to speak of it"

Meredy: "What's wrong with her? She's only number thirteen"

Erza: "Wait... try to calm down Juvia"

Juvia: "How can I do that she plans to kill my beloved for pure nonsense *walks towards Meredy* "Would you remain calm if (Y/n) was in my darling's place?"

Erza: "No I wouldn't... I mean.."

Juvia: "I'm afraid there's no way that's going to happen not now, YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR EVEN THINKING OF HURTING HIM!"

Juvia attacks Meredy by sending a large amount of water, knocking her away. She quickly follows up with . Erza watches in shock,

Erza: "Amazing.. she's a completely different woman from the one I faced before. She's able to channel her emotions into a massive flow of strength. That is her true strength"

Juvia: "Erza listen go ahead, I can handle this battle on my own. Find the others and make sure they're safe especially my darling Gray"

Erza: *requips into black bikini* "I most certainly will, best of luck to you"

Meredy: "Get back number four"

Meredy attempts to chase after her but Juvia smashes Meredy between two waves. Meredy thinks she is fortunate as she comes to the island in order to kill Gray and finds someone who has strong feelings for him. She casts on Juvia and Gray, a spell that enables the senses of two people to be one, enabling one to feel what the other one does. Initially, Juvia is enthralled.

Juvia: *blushing deeply and holding her face* "You really mean it! My darling Gray and my lives are finally one"

Meredy: *deadpan* "Only your senses"

Meanwhile with Gray,

Gray: *blushing deeply* "What's happening to me?! Why does my face feel so flushed all of a sudden?!"

However, as Meredy attacks her, she discovers that it also shares pain; what hurts Juvia also hurts Gray. This causes her anger and her Magic Power to rise. As a last resort, Meredy casts , a spell that allows Meredy herself to be connected to Juvia and Gray's link. She declares that it doesn't matter if it was her or Juvia that dies in the battle because through the link, if one of them dies, Gray dies too.

Meredy: "That's how far I'm willing to go. This is it, death is all that's left for us. Make peace"

Gray who was following Ultear is slumped against a tree,

Gray: "What's causing this horrible pain. I feel like there's a knife in my gut and why do my feet feel so cold and wet" *looks at Sensory Link seal* "It must be this thing, where the hell did this come from? Dammit" *looks at Ultear carrying Zeref* "If I don't do something quick I'm gonna lose her"

Back at Juvia and Meredy,

Juvia: "What's this pressure on my back is this what my dear Gray is feeling?"

Meredy: "I can sense Gray Fullbuster's connection. There's no need to fight you anymore" *summons * "To do that I will die!"

Juvia: "No don't!" *runs towards Meredy*

Meredy: "There's nothing you can do that can stop me"

Juvia: "My love forgive me"

Juvia attacks her own leg making Meredy fall to the ground, stopping her execution.

Meredy: *gasping* "You hurt yourself for him? You're smart I will give you that but causing me pain won't help. If you want to stop me you will have to kill me, however doing so will only aid my vengeance. Give up, you can't keep hurting yourself forever eventually your body fail. But that doesn't matter to you does it? You will fight till your last breath. Don't you get it, nothing you do will change our fate! All roads converge on death for us, its the only option!"

Juvia: "No that's not true if you leave Gray alone we will live. I used to be lot like you but joining Fairy Tail has taught me that even my enemies deserve to live"

Meredy: *stands abruptly* "UTTER NONSENSE! I WILL KILL GRAY FULLBUSTER FOR CAUSING ULTEAR PAIN!"

Juvia: *stands & limps towards Meredy* "Not if I can help it. I will knock us both out just to do it"

Meredy: "I have to kill him for her"

As Meredy's sword descends, she recalls the memories she has with Ultear. Meredy remembers the day Ultear took her in to save her and the time that she called Ultear her mother. Juvia intercepts the blade and hugs her.

Juvia: *holds Meredy by shoulders, crying* "You feel love I can see it. You love someone and they mean the world to you"

Meredy: "How does she know? Did I somehow share my memories with her through the link"

Juvia: *crying* "Please live"

Meredy: "How is this possible?"

Juvia: "Live for her, please. Like I live for the person I live, you don't have a choice. If you have love you have to live"

Meredy: "Love... live for Ultear... These feelings they are overwhelming, I can't hold them back" *tears start forming* "These tears of love and life are unstoppable"

Juvia and Meredy fall to their knees and the three of them get freed from the . The two collapse in the water, unable to fight each other.

Concurrently, Gray notices that the extra senses and the mark on his arm have disappeared, however, Ultear is suddenly behind him. He is wary of her, though she admits that she is actually Ur's daughter. She smiles at him, saying that she has wanted to see him for so long and that she is on his side. He accuses her of lying and argues that Ur mustn't be proud of what her daughter is doing. However, Ultear replies that her actions are what Ur wanted.

Puss and Carla meet up with Natsu's group, who have taken shelter from the rain.

Natsu: "Hey Puss and Carla did you lose Lily?"

Carla: "We decided to stop by base camp on the way here. Gajeel and Mira are in pretty bad shape. So Lily's staying with them while they recover"

Happy: "I hope they get better soon and Puss where's your sword?"

Puss: "I gave it to Senõr Lily in case something happens. The good thing is we did spot Grimoire Heart's airship off the east coast of the island"

Natsu: "Well let's swim over and bust heads"

Lucy: "Hold on I think we should go to base camp first. If Cana and Gray show up they can be big help"

Wendy: "She's right if it's up for a vote, we should head back to base camp"

Natsu: "What about you bro?"

(Y/n): "As much as I would love for my legs to meet this Master Hades's face" *sighs* "The girls are right besides" *glances at Makarov* "Pops might get some help back there"

Natsu: "All right then I will carry Gramps"

Doranbolt: "What about me?"

Natsu: *carrying Makarov* "Keep the Council of our backs"

Lucy: "We don't need their help we can keep Grimoire Heart and Zeref by ourselves"

Wendy: "Tell them there's no need to fire an "

Doranbolt: "You think they will listen?!"

(Y/n): "You think we care if they listen?"

The group leaves and Doranbolt is left baffled by their actions. Meanwhile, Erza runs in the rain, looking for Wendy.

??: "The famous Erza"

Erza: "Show yourself"

Azuma appears out of a tree,

Azuma: "Finally I found a true warrior, Titania. Wendy is gone, I sought to that"

Erza: *clenches her fist* "Then you'll die"

At the Guild's campsite, Levy McGarden and Lisanna are happy to hear Panther Lily's news about the rest of the group coming there since there are a lot of wounded people and if an enemy were to attack, they'd be defenseless. Levy is disappointed that even the master was beaten, but she says that she can't give up no matter what. As she says this Rustyrose appears,

Rustyrose: "Here is an idea, why don't you surrender? Nothing wrong with that difference is that my power is unbound to this unbalanced world of ours" *points at the group* "Feel your drums pound faster against their cages and prepare yourselves for oblivion cause that's where you're heading"

On the Grimoire Heart ship, Hades realizes that Bluenote has already left for battle after Meredy's defeat. As Natsu's group travels to the main camp, they feel an ominous Magic Power and meet the Grimoire Heart deputy himself, Bluenote Stinger.

Natsu: "We've got company"

Wendy: "He's strong, I can feel his power"

Carla: "The rain's pouring down on him as if he's under a storm cloud"

Happy: "My Happy senses are starting to tingle"

However both (Y/n) and Puss are wide-eyed in shock upon noticing the man in front of them.

Natsu: "Who are you? Are you one of the Kin?"

Bluenote: "Tell me do you know how to fly? No pity, then you'll fall"

His Magic is felt all throughout the island as he makes the ground between the group's feet sink.

Bluenote: "You know personally Fairy Tail guild nor our plans for Zeref, mean much of anything to me. But there's one thing I've been longing to do on this island, where is the grave of Mavis Vermillion. I wish to pay my respects to Fairy Tail's first master"

Cana tries to touch the shining grave, but its seal prevents her.

Cana: "Here I seal , one of the three great . May it forever shine in the darkness. This isn't her grave at all"

Back at Natsu's group (Y/n) somehow manages to get on his knees,

(Y/n): "All right if you have no business with us or Zeref then why are you here?"

Bluenote: "Impressive you're able to get up anyways as I said before I want to know the location of Mavis Vermillion's grave"

Lucy: "Well you'll be looking for awhile because we don't know either"

Wendy: "I wonder what he wants with Master Mavis, do you think he wants to do something with the second part of the trial"

Happy: "I think I just figured out what he's after?"

Carla: "I'm sure we will end up dumber after what you say but by all means continue"

Happy: "Mr. Crazy-Ponytail wants to be an S-Class wizard too so he came out here so we can accept him as a member of the guild"

Puss: "Happy that means Doranbolt wanted to join the guild too"

Happy: "Yes I'm sure of it"

Carla: "Where you two dropped on your heads when you were kittens?!"

Happy/Puss: "How do you know!"

Both Happy and Puss are pushed further into ground. Bluenote demands to know the whereabouts of Mavis' grave from Natsu's group.
