Team Natsu was currently returning from a mission. They were laughing and smiling, since they just completed a mission. They walked up to the guild hall, but it had large, metal beams crushed through it. It looked like a pin cushion at this point. Mirajane soon walks up to them, with a solemn look on her face.

Erza: "Mira. What happened?"

Mirajane: "..It was Phantom Lord."

Natsu: "WHAT! Those bastards!?"

Erza: "That's not important now. Where is everyone? Are they hurt?"

Mirajane: "Luckily no one was here when it happened. They're all in the basement now."

She directed them to the basement, where Makarov was getting drunk as a horse. Everyone looked depressed, and distraught, but Natsu was one of the only ones who looked furious. He ran up to the master and started yelling.

Natsu: "Matster! We need to fight back against them!"

Erza: "Master I agree."

Makarov: "Ah you kids are too young to undershtand. Juhst let the old folksh handle thish." He slapped Lucy's butt then ran away.

Natsu: "Damnit! Why isn't he doing anything?"

Mirajane: "He can't.. the council strictly prohibits guild fights."

Gray: "Tsk. Is there nothing we can do?"

Erza: "Where's Ryuga?"

Mirajane: "I don't know. I've been trying to get in contact with him all day, but he disappeared."

Lucy: "Would he really leave at a time like this?"

Natsu: "He's probably already fightin them! We should join him!"

Erza: "No! What Master says is true. The council prohibits it."

Mirajane: "You're right. It's getting late, everyone should head home. Also, remember to stay in groups."

Lucy: "Good Idea."

In the morning, there was a crowd surrounding the South Gate Park. Lucy and her friends push through the crowd until they could see what was going on. Once they got through it, tears started to trickle down Lucy's face. In front of them, were Levy, Jet, and Droy, unconscious, and hanging on the tree by steel cuffs. While everyone was terrified and helping them off the tree, Makarov gripped his staff so hard it shattered. His aura cracked the ground beneath him.

Makarov: "I can tolerate the guild hall being destroyed, but NO ONE hurts my children! I declare war on Phantom Lord!"

When he said that, everyone got ready for a fight, but what they didn't know, is that two cloaked figures were overlooking the situation.

Ryuga: "Guess we should get ready too huh? Mystogan."

Mystogan: "Yes. We must fight for Fairy Tail."

Ryuga: "They're most likely going to go straight to the main hall. How about we attack the subdivisions?"

Mystogan: "Sounds like a plan. I'll meet you back here in twenty?"

Ryuga: "Deal, I'll get my war outfit on."

They both disappeared, and when they did, Erza looked back with a confused expression on her face.

Twenty minutes later, Mystogan arrived with his full set of staves and a new and improved mantle. Ryuga wore his Royal Array, which consisted of a long sleeved top that showed off some of his chest, slightly loose black pants, a violet cape, golden elbow guards, and lastly, golden earrings with purple gems. This style of his consisted of many gold trimmings, which made him look like royalty whenever he wore this, and he was.. in the underworld that is.

Mystogan: "You're looking fancy."

Ryuga: "Where I come from, people go to war in appealing outfits, looking their best, as to respect their opponent."

Mystogan: "I see. Shall we get going then?"

Ryuga: "Indeed."

Ryuga teleported him and Mystogan to one of the branches of Phantom Lord. In truth, they already scouted the guild out, long before they attacked Fairy Tail. They finally got a chance to use those long scouting hours.

Ryuga: "Let's get started."

He said this while stretching his wrists and ankles.

Mystogan: "Yes."

Mystogan drove a stave into the ground, causing the ground beneath the building to collapse. Ryuga then closed his hands together, and water came flooding the building, dragging out all of the inhabitants.

After they nearly escaped drowning, the inhabitants tried running away, but were caught in a nightmare Mystogan created. They all stood still, with blood dripping from their eyes. After a couple minutes of them silently screaming in their dreams, Mystogan put them to sleep, and Ryuga grabbed the guild flag that was hung on the building.

Ryuga: "One down, 33 more to go."

Mystogan: "We shouldn't keep them waiting."

Ryuga: "Right you are."

The duo spent hours attacking Phantom Lord's subdivisions. Wherever they went, destruction followed. Catastrophes ranged from incineration to the buildings being completely frozen over, along with the members inside. Ryuga and Mystogan went on a calamity spree, until there was only one building left.

They both stood on a hill, overlooking the last building. Mystogan pulled out one of his staves and started an incantation.

Mystogan:

A beam of orange light shot down from the sky, and connected against the building. A massive explosion occurred, severely injuring the members inside, and causing the building to turn to dust. Mystogan looked over to Ryuga and smirked beneath his cloak.

Mystogan: "Well? Pretty amazing right?"

Ryuga: "It was interesting, yes. A spell I haven't learned yet. You'll have to teach me it someday."

Mystogan took off his hood and scarf, revealing a blue haired man with a mark on his left eye. He was smiling gently.

Mystogan: "I will, but you have to help me get back to Edolas."

Ryuga: "Yeah yeah, I know. Every-time I look at you, I can't help but think of your disgusting earthland counter-part."

Mystogan: "It also saddens me that I have such a counter-part."

As they were talking, Natsu rescued Lucy and brought her back to Fairy Tail. She received a warm welcome, despite being revealed she's a Heartfilia. Natsu named her "Lucy of Fairy Tail" to which she cried tears of joy. Makarov was taken to see Porlyusica, who told them that he doesn't have long to live if he doesn't fight. She said his magic energy was scattered around, causing him to be very sick. The guild tried to figure out a way to help, but Porlyusica demanded they leave her in peace.

A while after everyone left, Porlyusica was in her yard, gathering apples, when a cold wind blew her hair in her face. She stroked it out of the way to find both Ryuga and Mystogan sitting in a tree, holding apples. Ryuga took a bite first.

Ryuga: "Delicious."

Porlyusica: "You, what are you doing here, Demon?"

Ryuga jumped down from the tree and walked over to her.

Ryuga: "You still call me that? After all we've gone through?"

She blushed a little, then glanced over at Mystogan.

Porlyusica: "Fine, you can stay, but I don't want that human here."

Ryuga: "Ah don't worry about him, he helped gather Makaro-I mean Master's magical power."

As he said this, the Phantom Lord's flags started raining down, causing the pink haired older woman to gasp.

Porlyusica: "Y-You both. Took out all of their subdivisions? And you better pick up those before you leave!"

Ryuga: "Haha don't worry we will. Now, let's see Master."

They walked into her home, to find Makarov green-faced and very ill. Ryuga and Mystogan held their hands over his stomach, gradually replenishing his magical power. His illness slowly went away, and he woke up. He looked around the room with hazy eyes, before turning to Ryuga.

Makarov: "Ryuga? And Mystogan? What are you two doing here?"

Mystogan: "We came to cure you. You still need to rest a little, but you should be fine in a bit."

Makarov: "Thank you, my children."

Ryuga: "Wait one moment, I'm older than you, old man."

Makarov chuckled a little while nodding his head, then went back to sleep. Ryuga burnt the flags in Porlyusica's yard, and walked away with Mystogan back to the guild.

Inside the guild, a web of sadness went around. Their master was hurt, and their morale was low. Cana was using card magic, trying to get a hold of Mystogan or Ryuga, and Mirajane was trying to reason with Laxus, who was speaking into a communication lacrima. He was refusing to come help, and started insulting them for being so weak.

Mirajane: "How can you be like this when the guild is in such a situation!"

Lakyus: "Haha! You all are so weak that you can't handle yourselves the moment the top three leave you! You don't deserve to be in my Fairy Tail!"

Mirajane, pissed, crushed the orb with one hand, scaring most of the members inside. She was letting out a dark aura before turning to Cana.

Mirajane: "Where's Ryuga or Mystogan!"

Cana: "I'm trying to find them now. They're, eh? Here?"

The doors opened, and in walked Ryuga and Mystogan. Everyone was in awe that Mystogan was here, but they were even more in awe that Ryuga seemed to know him.

Mystogan: "Looks like everyone is safe. Can I leave it to you?"

He stuck out his hand for a shake, and Ryuga took it.

Ryuga: "Yeah. Good luck with your mission."

Mystogan walked out, and Ryuga turned back to the guild, who had awestruck faces.

Ryuga: "What?"

Natsu: "You know Mystogan!? Is he strong? Have you fought him? What does he look like?"

Mirajane: "More importantly, why are you wearing that outfit? Not that I'm saying you don't look good in it." She spoke with a slight blush, glancing at his chest every now and then.

Ryuga: "I'll answer all your questions. Yes I know him. Yes he's strong. No I haven't fought him, and he's actually a really handsome fellow, but he has a.. person that looks very similar to him. He keeps his face hidden, since his look alike is scum and a criminal. As for why I'm wearing this, it's simple. We're at war, and this is what I wear to war."

Mirajane: "Why would you wear something like that to war, again, not that I'm complaining."

Ryuga: "It's formal to do this where I come from."

Erza: "It's a very.. appealing tradition."

Ryuga: "Thanks. Anyway, what's the situation?"

Mirajane: "Laxus refuses to come. I tried reasoning with him, but he's a lost cause."

Ryuga: "As expected. We'll have to make do while the master heals then."

Elfman: "What do we do then-"

He was cut off by a tremor, and the guild members ran outside to find the Phantom Lord's guild base walking towards them. It soon stops walking, and the voice of the Phantom Lord's master is heard.

Jose: "Fire the Jupiter! Show these rats what power looks like!"

The canon erecting from the base fired a large beam of magical energy towards them. Erza, anticipating a hard impact, changed into adamantite armor, and held out her shield to block it. The blinding light soon enveloped the surrounding area, but Erza didn't feel any impact.

When the light subsided, she removed her shield to see Ryuga standing with one hand in front of him. His hand was smoking, displaying that he just blocked the attack with only that one hand. Jose was scared out of his boots for a second, before smirking.

Jose: "The next beam will arrive in 15 minutes! I bet even your Violet Demon can't take another shot. Well? Why don't you show us those demonic features of yours, huh?"

Ryuga: "You are not worthy to view my beautiful horns and wings. When I let them out, I am symbolizing a life will be taken, human or not. Such was the teachings of my father. Rest assured, I will not take any of your members' lives.. However. You brought war to my doorstep; I will bring destruction to yours!"

He started walking towards the standing base, seemingly not caring about the sea he was about to reach, but everyone was shocked when his right foot touched the water, and the entire sea froze. Many kilometers of sea water was frozen solid, and the Phantom Lord's guild base was now trapped in ice. He kept walking, barefoot, towards the base, with a cold air surrounding him, and blowing his hair, earrings, and cape around.

When they came out of their stupor, Natsu, Happy, Gray, and Elfman ran towards the base. The others stayed in order to defend, and Lucy was taken to a safe area; since this war was started by her father, who wanted to force her to come back.

Natsu was able to destroy the canon, but then Phantom Lord's base turned into a giant. It threatened to use , which was a prohibited spell. The members realized the Elemental Four needed to be beaten in order to stop the spell, so Natsu, Gray, and Elfman went to find them.

Feeling worried for her brother, Mirajane tried to trick Jose using her transformation magic to look like Lucy, however, she was seen through, and captured in the arms of the giant.

Meanwhile, Elfman and Sol of the Element Four started fighting. Sol proved to be more powerful, since Elfman refused to use his full power. Sol then started provoking Elfman by reminding him of Lisanna's death. Elfman was furious, and he swung with his beast arm at Sol, but stopped before it hit him. In his way, was a clay form of Lisanna.

Sol: "What's wrong? Afraid to kill your little sister, again?"

As he said that, he looked behind him to see Ryuga with a face that made him want to soil himself. Ryuga's aura skyrocketed, causing the ceiling to break apart, and also causing Sol to try to retreat. However, before he retreated, Elfman grabbed him, using his full Beast Form.

Sol: "H-How! You shouldn't be able to use that!"

Elfman: "I was holding back. I actually had a great teacher."

He started beating the living hell out of Sol, while Ryuga flew over to the giants arms. Mirajane was being crushed, but one tap of Ryuga's foot caused one of the arms to collapse. He caught Mirajane in the air, and took her back inside.

When he got there, he saw Sol bleeding from his mouth, and Elfman crying.

Ryuga: "Is he dead?"

Elfman: "No, but he's right. Lisanna.. she's my fault." Ryuga walked over and pat his shoulder.

Ryuga: "What happened wasn't your fault. I don't know how many times I've told you this, but it isn't. Come on, we have more important things to do than fret about the past. Get Mirajane back to the guild, I'll clean up here."

Elfman nodded, and him and Mirajane ran towards the guild, leaving Ryuga to heal Sol enough that his life wasn't in danger. Ryuga looked out of the hole in the wall and saw that the time for Abyss Break slowed. Figuring that the others might not make it in time, he headed to the top of the giant, where Gray and another Element Four were fighting.

When he got there, a weird girl in blue was getting.. groped by Gray?

Gray: "Ah! My bad. Can we start again?"

Juvia: "H-He t-touched me.. He actually touched me!"

Ryuga, slowly, approached Gray, while Juvia had her back turned.

Ryuga: "Groping the enemy? I thought you were better than this."

Gray: "Hey! It's not my fault!"

Ryuga: "Anyway, it's raining pretty hard."

Gray: "Yeah it's kind of depressing."

When he said that, Ryuga slapped him on the back of his head. When Gray turned to him, confused, Ryuga pointed to Juvia, who looked sad.

Gray: "Ah, I didn't mean it like that."

Ryuga: "Right.. Anyway, Gray, she's an enemy. So attack her or I will."

Juvia: "Who are you?"

Ryuga: "A member of Fairy Tail. We're kind of at war with you."

Juvia: "War? So trivial. I only need to focus on finding a partner."

Ryuga: "Oh? In that case, good luck Gray."

He jumps back down into the building, ignoring Gray's plea for help. Natsu's yell was heard not far, and Ryuga started running there. When he got there, he saw Erza beating Aria into the ground, which was enjoyable. When she was finished, the Abyss Break stopped, but Gajeel kidnapped Lucy.

Ryuga: "Natsu, Erza, go find Lucy. I'll handle Jose."

Erza: "There's no way you can face him alone!"

Ryuga: "Just go back up Natsu! He needs it more than me."

Natsu: "Hey!"

Erza: "F-Fine. But you better make it out alive."

Ryuga: "Anything you say, Erza." He said it with a smooth voice, making Erza blush before running off with Natsu.

Not long after they ran off, footsteps were heard walking towards Ryuga, and an air of death danced around the room. Out of the shadows walked Jose, the master of Phantom Lord.

Jose: "You are very brave to face me alone, young boy."

Ryuga: "I'm older than you."

Jose: "We have the Heartfilia, how about you just stop fighting us and we will go."

Ryuga: "Can't really do that. Lucy's one of us."

Jose: "You would protect someone like her?"

Ryuga: "Yes, even if it means becoming a demon."

Jose: "Oh? Aren't you already that?"

Ryuga smirked and launched boulders at Jose. When they got close, they withered away, but Ryuga appeared and slapped Jose with enough force to break his cheek. Jose clenched his jaw, and shot a wave of death at Ryuga, who just made a wall of light, countering the darkness.

The battle kept going on, and the longer it went on, the angrier Jose got. Noticing Gajeel was taken out by Natsu, Ryuga speaks to Jose.

Ryuga: "Beg, on your knees, for forgiveness. I'll give you the count of three, before I invoke Law."

Jose: "Haha! Fairy Law? That's one of Fairy Tail's three secret magic, there's no way you know it!"

Ryuga: "Three."

Jose: "Don't get cocky brat!"

Ryuga: "Two." He slowly brought his hands together.

Jose, starting to sweat now, launched a beam of darkness at Ryuga, but it was too late.

Ryuga: "One. "

A massive magic circle opened over Magnolia, and a blinding light followed. The light burnt away all the shades attacking Fairy Tail, and Jose was rendered paralyzed.

Meanwhile, on another floor, Erza, Natsu, and Lucy were watching the light burn.

Erza: "This light. I know it. It's Fairy Law."

Lucy: "What's that?"

Erza: "A great magic. Only our guild master can wield it."

???: "That's not true."

They look behind them to see Makarov with a big smile on his face.

Erza: "Master? What are you doing here? Wait, if you're here, then who used Fairy Law?"

Makarov: "Can't you tell?"

Natsu: "It's Ryuga! I can smell it."

Erza: "Ryuga knows Fairy Law!?"

Makarov: "He learned it before I did."

Lucy: "He's amazing."

Erza: "Yeah."

The war was finally over, and the members of Fairy Tail were rebuilding the guild hall. Lucy went back to her old home to confront her dad, and Natsu, Erza, and Gray went with her. Ryuga stayed around and helped Elfman train his power more.

A while after that, Lucy gained a new key in Loke, who turned out to be Leo. He gave them tickets to visit a resort, to which they accepted. And thus, a new hurdle appeared in the Violet Demon's way.
