first things first, taehyung loves his pups.

saying that in such a simplistic sentence might not do justice, for ever since he held his little bundles of joy in his arms, it feels like the omegas heart split into two, now them beating with love and care for his babies.

its a fact that he'd do anything for them,

but oh right now, taehyung is as desperate for some good sleep as much as his motherly love.

barely four hours sleep he had got last night thanks to grumpy pups, and the traitor of a sun was already up in the sky and his alarm was blaring at him to start his day.

quite unwillingly, lips jutting out ready to wobble any moment at the loss of his warm nest had taehyung dragged himself up that day.

fingers raking through his unruly hair, the omega yawned even after freshening up as he made his way to the kitchen hoping to quickly fix a simple breakfast for two, added that if he doesn't fall asleep on the counter.

light bare feet padding against the floor, taehyung made a beeline for the kitchen, only stopping in his tracks when his droopy eyes locked on suspicious looking covered plates on the dinner table.

curious, he shimmied closer, lifting one of the covers only for his eyes to widen in surprise.

there on the plate was quite an interesting array of breakfast foods; a waffle filled with whipped cream and wonky cut strawberries, half burnt toast with a ketchup smiley drawn on it, a side of undercooked scrambled eggs and a cup of green tea.

pleasantly surprised, the omega took a seat then sniffing the food before shrugging and digging in.

well, taehyung was never a picky eater and a filling breakfast was exactly what he needed then.

turns out the surprises didn't stop then.

his days were now a live action treasure hunt where he finds new prada tops with tags intact in his laundry room basket to nearly toppling over a bag of chocolates infront of his room.

at this point its getting ridiculous, for taehyung can take a pot to cook only to find a gucci bracelet inside it or open pups diaper drawer to see a dior dress on top of it.

even if he never catches the culprit in the act, taehyung sees him feigning ignorance everywhere; like when he once opened the front door to a bulk order of high-end nesting supplies delivered to the door step, the alpha now with his arms free of the sling bag innocently asked if he needs help carrying the packets inside.

the omega huffs, nodding and fights off the urge to jump right into the new supplies and roll around, atleast until jungkook is out of his bedroom.

jungkooks massive shopping spree didn't stop there or maybe its just the alpha being curious; taehyung once walked in on jungkook trying to learn to fold laundry through youtube and another day it was him assembling an ikea cupboard for the pups toys.

since seokjin had advised the other to not go out too much, atleast until a few more months just to be safe, jungkook only goes out rarely that too after covering his face with a mask.

the alpha is now more capable of leading a normal life- well atleast he can do grocery shopping without freaking out,

and one day the alpha had came back with a goldfish in a bowl, looking far excited for a grown up.

taehyung quite amusedly watched for the rest of the day at how the alpha sat with both the pups in his lap, the three faces mirroring the same awe as they watched the goldfish lazily swim around in the bowl.

but turns out the little goldfish was an unlucky one because one day jimin visited with oreo.

that afternoon jungkook who came to feed the fish was horrified to see the bowl empty, but what more horrifying was to see an yellow tail dissappearing past oreos mouth.

as the little goldfish rested in peace inside oreos tummy, jungkook for sure sulked by the couch entire day so much that even jimin felt a tad bit bad.

that night jungkook had went to bed without even having his dinner.

however the alpha tossed in the bed for hours until he managed to slip into sleep.

tonight, the nightmares came to visit him again;

jungkook was back in a dingy room, chained to a bed and bleeding. he heard mocking laughters, sneers and sounds of breaking bones.

in the dark he saw taehyungs unmoving form with black vines surrounding him, getting dragged away into a bottomless void.

jungkook jolts awake with his arms still outstretched trying to hold onto the omega, but his eyes only met the darkness of night a mirror of the pitch nothingness.

he heard his own gasping breaths as he scrambled out of the bed, shoulder hitting the door frame as his steps stuttered.

"t-tae-- taehyung" his forehead leaned against the omegas door, fists pounding against it as his eyes sting and dizziness plagued his mind.

it felt like an eternity later when the door opened revealing a worried looking taehyung, and jungkook didn't waste anytime before tugging the omega closer to him to feel the warmth of the others body just to make sure taehyung is safe and sound.

"are you okay? what happened?" the omegas groogy yet concerned voice enquired, yelping when jungkook crumbled to his knees taking taehyung down with him.

jungkook however didn't reply, pulling taehyung impossibly closer to him and burying his face in others neck, hot quick breaths hitting taehyungs shoulder as jungkook struggled to breathe.

taehyungs hands laid limp at his sides, brain slowly catching up and when he felt wetness against his neck taehyung hugged jungkook back.

it was a struggle to support almost all of jungkooks weight but taehyung didn't dare move, just sitting there as tears stained his shoulder and jungkooks heartbeat thundered against his chest.

"--thought i lost you" at one point jungkook whispered, to which the omega replied a "'m here", and maybe thats all the assurance he needed for jungkook retracted his face from the others shoulder, head drooped as if refusing to face taehyung.

"-- 'sorry-- i should let you sleep" jungkook discreetly rubbed at his face, trying to stand up on unsteady legs, looking too disoriented.

taehyung looked at the others dark silhoutte by the door, then sighing dejectedly- "you can sleep here if you want?"

"n-no its okay-- dont want to make you uncomfortable" jungkooks strained voice mumbled.

"we can bring the pups here too"

at that jungkook stopped in his tracks, now properly looking at taehyung with red rimmed yet hopeful eyes.

thats how taehyung found himself rearranging his nest in the middle of the night to make enough space.

at the end, the pups were more than happy to snuggle in the warmth of their parents with jungkook and taehyung laying on either side with the babies in the middle,

and the alphas brain was fuzzy, the happy kind, finally getting to rest surrounded by all the scents he love.

"can we all go out tomorrow?" the alpha dared to ask.

"sure" taehyung easily replied as he succumbed to sleep.

jungkook slept better than he had in weeks and he woke up late in the morning when a little leg kicked at his still healing wound on the ribs.

still he smiled, kissing his sleeping pups and pushing the blanket up taehyungs chin which the omega had kicked out of the bed in his sleep.

the alpha thinks his cooking game has been getting better, thanks to his dear advisor google. today he managed to make pancakes that he only accidentally burnt a little and caramelized peaches with ofcourse taehyungs favorite green tea.

stuffing the extra burnt pancakes in his mouth, the alpha however was in a flurry of activities packing things for their little outing today as he sipped on coffee.

its when the baby bags were packed with necessities and extra added sunscreen fit for little and big humans had taehyung emerged from the room, the omega too damn sleepy to be aware of his surroundings.

nowadays, taehyung usually does a beeline for the breakfast, happily munching on whatever is there uncaring of jungkooks curious eyes who watches the omega eat with a prideful heart.

at the first sip of his tea taehyungs brain started to function again.

then only had his curious eyes found the packed bags.

"so where are we going today?" taehyung asked, chewing on the peaches.

"to the beach!"

taehyung stopped mid chew, before his eyes widened- "really?!"

"we are leaving in an hour!" jungkook shouted back as he dissappeared into his room.

thankfully, the sun took mercy on them and hid under the cloud or maybe it just baised towards the little pups.

the weather wasn't too hot neither too warm and jungkook choose one of the less busy beach.

jungkook was quick to get ready and so was the pups.

taehyung was quick to follow, dressed in a high-waisted jeans shorts, white croptop and a cover up.

oh this is bad for jungkooks heart. this damn 'love' or whatever this feeling is, its going to give him a heartattack one of these days.

"you look beautiful" jungkook had said, almost dazed and taehyung had blinked at it, as if he cant believe jungkook just openly complimented him.

"uh thanks" taehyung had squirmed embarrassed, unsure of what to say.

then, taehyung had saw the babies and his face broke out into the brightest of giggles.

"aw look at my cuties" the omega cooed at the pups dressed in frilled strawberry printed onesies with matching little hats.

maybe, just maybe, jungkook had brought all these strawberry themed baby clothes just to hear taehyung giggle every time.

the trip to the beach was quick.

the place was almost deserted as jungkook planted a shade umbrella firmly before getting the babies out, them as always at awe of the new surroundings.

but turns out, its taehyung who was the most excited.

taehyung always loved the beaches, infact his time visiting beaches was the only good memory he had from his childhood.

barefeet thrashing the sand everywhere, taehyung twirled and ran around, feet digging into the wet mud and chasing after the retreating waves.

the blonde hair shining just like his golden skin, the omega was a sight that left jungkook breathless, eyes not even blinking as he watched taehyung laugh and thrive like never before.

just as the pups were strapped in on their baby chairs under the shade, taehyung returned, skin shining with sweat and smelling like ocean and flowers.

as the omega sat on the folding chairs to reapply his sunscreen, jungkook sat by the mud and basked in the peace, occasionally drawing patterns on the mud or making figures with the sand.

"what are you making?" taehyung asked inquisitive.

jungkooks brows furrowed as he concentrated on molding the sand snowman with 8 packs on its tummy as he replied- "a figure of me"

taehyung promptly ran over it, kicking the head part of sand-jungkook into the sky like a football.

"you little rascal!!" jungkook was up on his feet, chasing after the omega as the giggles of their pups filled the air.

taehyung went straight for the sea, the water sloshing everywhere as he jumped into it,

and the alpha who chased after him still stood at the shore with hands on his hips since he couldn't get in, for his healing stitches wouldn't appreciate contact with muddy sea water.

taehyung who fully knew it wiggled his hips from the water, sticking his tongue out at jungkook who retreated back towards the shade.

well, well, jungkook wasn't really complaining, because minutes later as the omega emerged from the water wet from head to toe, that was an image that is going to haunt the alpha who was getting blue-balled ever since taehyung got pregnant.

as taehyung walked towards him, clothes like a second skin, long tan legs, hair pushed back and face giving bedroom eyes,

jungkook gulped and extended a large towel towards the other.

as the omega stretched his hand to take it, jungkook however caught that hand.

"gotcha!" jungkook pulled the other and enveloped the omega in the large towel and his arm, effectively making taehyung immobile.

taehyung gasped, affronted before starting to thrash in jungkooks hold, whining about how this is cheating.

jungkooks iron grip was unyielding, but his gaze was fixated on taehyungs face; on the rosy glow, the long lashes and the water drops gliding down his nose bridge.

taehyung may have noticed this, for the next second, jungkook felt a push on his leg and he is toppling back alongwith the omega.

jungkook groaned when his back hit the hard sand, but his eyes turned challenging as he rolled them around, now jungkook laying with taehyung under him.

"g-get off me, you stupid alpha!" taehyung screeched, laughing, as jungkooks hands tickled at the side of his tummy.

taehyung hiccupped and squealed, face getting redder and cheeks aching with smiles, until jungkook took mercy on him and stopped.

taehyung then dramatically flopped on the sand, heaving for breaths as jungkook too chuckled, shaking the mud out of his hair.

the omega snorted when he saw the state of jungkook, but he sure knows he looks worse, still he ran his fingers through the alphas wild mess of hair.

"why couldn't you be like this from the beginning?" it was a thought that taehyung let freely out of his lips.

jungkook freezed above him, then ducking his head in shame,

"i was dumb and didn't knew any better"

taehyung hummed, as his hand still smoothed down jungkooks hair.

"can you ever forgive me?" jungkook then asked.

"no. atleast never fully" taehyung replied honest.

the alpha then looked at taehyungs face, then tilting his head- "at what percentage am i at now?"

"what?" the omega asked confused.

"-of forgiveness?"

taehyung gave it a long thought.

"around .001 i think" he then said.

"cool. guess i will just have to make up for it an eternity" the alpha easily agreed, shrugging.

"pfft! how? you don't know anything about me!" the omega pointed an accusing finger.

"oh i know plenty" jungkook smirked and taehyung rolled his eyes.

"i know you like everything strawberry"

taehyung wasn't impressed.

"i know you smile with your eyes first before your lips"

taehyungs wide eyes wavered.

"i know your lips are the prettiest shade of honeysuckle pink"

taehyungs cheeks blushed the same shade.

"what nonsense are you saying! get off me!" taehyung pushed away jungkook, then standing up dusting away the sand on him.

"i know you're the best thing ever happened to me, taehyung"

taehyungs heart skipped a beat.

just then an affronted squeal came from one of the pups.

"oh sorry! you three are the best thing that ever happened to me-" jungkook corrected himself in a baby voice as he walked near the pups making the babies squeal.

taehyung too smiled then.

soon the sun was out of its hiding spot and the beach would soon get too warm for the babies.

"lets get back" jungkook said, already lifting one of the pups from the chair.

"so soon?" taehyung pouted.

"of course! i need to plan on how to get that 99.99 percent of forgiveness!" the alpha said albiet a bit cheeky.

"you're stupid!" taehyung chuckled and shook his head, then crouching down to take the other pup with him.

there journey back was quiet, but with a warm bliss of happiness thrumming between them.

taehyung leaned his head against the window, eyes gazing out the passing scenery with the eyes of a free bird soaring up the sky.

sure it feels like a dream,

but the sand sticking onto him and the warmth beating in his heart told another story,

the story of hopes, smiles and happiness,

and an end that lead to a new beginning,

a beginning of no uncertainties,

just a firm path where taehyung achieves it all,

including another heart that blooms everytime he smiles.

and once that heart fills with fragrance uncontainable,

taehyung may let him into his own,

not after a hundred act of forgiveness,

but after jungkook forgives himself.
