《Friends with the Frat》10~ College Football

We waited anxiously in Will's dorm for him to walk through the door. I was hoping we could go out to lunch and spend some time with him before he has to go watch film.
Soon enough the door opened and Will walked through it. His eyes went wide as he saw us sitting in his dorm.
He set down his bag and looked at us in shock.
"Cora! Oh my god!" We ran up to each other. He spun me around and I wrapped my legs around his waist. "Wha? How? W-When?" He stuttered. "God I missed you" he squeezed me tighter.
I giggled and melted into his touch. I crashed my lips to his. I didn't care that Dad and Carter were in the room.
We broke apart and he looked around the room for the first time since he saw me.
"Carter? Coach? You're here too" he said as if he was out of breath. He set me down and hugged his best friend.
They hugged for a minute and then he moved on to Dad. They hugged.
"You know Will you don't have to call me coach. You're not in high school anymore" he laughed.
"Doesn't feel right, Coach" he laughed.
We talked for a little bit and Will went to take a quick shower. After he was done, he walked back out to us.
"I was about to head to Christian's house for lunch. Leah was making us lunch, y'all are more than welcome to come. I know a certain little boy who has been waiting to see you again snowflake." He laughed.
"Landon?" I said happily. "Okay we're totally going."
I smiled and started to drag the boys out. "Now wait a minute, Coco. We can't just invite ourselves over to someone's house."
"Dad you clearly haven't met Leah. The more the merrier, besides she makes enough to feed an entire army twice. Also Will invited us so technically we were invited"
He sighed. "Okay fine"
I squealed and dragged Will out of the dorm. I pulled him down to the lobby as the boys followed behind.
I couldn't stop being close to Will. I drove in his truck with him and Dad and Carter followed behind in the rental. His hand was on my thigh the whole drive and I rest my hand on his.
We finally pulled in and I practically raced to the house. Will followed in behind me with a laugh.
"Cora!" The seven year old boy yelled as he saw me. I bent down and squeezed him tight. I missed that little booger.
"Landon! I'm so happy to see you" I said and hugged him. I noticed Dad and Carter walk in.
"Wait a damn minute did I just hear-" Barrett said as he walked in. "Cora!" He yelled and almost tackled me in a hug.
"Hey Barre" I laughed as I hugged him back.
The other boys walked in the room and stopped when they saw me standing there. "Cora!" The both yelled and ran over to me.
"Hi guys!" I said and hugged them.
"We didn't know you were coming!" Dari said and hugged me again.
"Yeah Will how come you didn't say anything?"
Will put his hands up in defense. "She surprised me too." He said and wrapped his arms around me from behind.

"Okay is everyone in here?" Will nodded. "Okay everyone this is my Dad, Randy, and my brother Carter. Guys, this is Dari, Bryson, Barrett, and the little one is Landon"
They all shook hands as dad Landon. It was adorable.
"Where's Leah?" I asked Christian.
He nodded his head to the kitchen. I snuck my way in there. I doubt she even knew I was here. When she's cooking she's in the zone until it's done.
"Need any help, Leah?" I asked with a smirk as I leaned against the doorframe.
"No, honey, I'm good thank you though" she said, not even realizing that I was here. She stooped when she processed my voice in her mind.
"Cora? When did you get here?" She asked and ran over to me. She wrapped her short arms around me.
"Really early this morning. We surprised Will at his dorm and came over here" I said and hugged her. "I missed you, Leah."
She smiled at me. "I missed you too Cor. Oh and I just made a couple batches of my peanut butter cheerio bars. You can take them home to your family."
My face lit up. "Speaking of family, my dad and brother are here. Come meet them."
"Honey, I have to watch the pasta before it burns. Bring them in here if you must I'd love to meet them" she smiled at me.
I walked back out into the main area. I grabbed Carter and Dad and drugged them into the kitchen. I introduced them to Leah. She was so excited to meet them she almost burned the pasta.
I heard the door open again. Must be the boys going outside.
"Who's car is out there?" I heard her voice.
I walked out of the kitchen and into her view. Ellie smiled at me. "Oh Will never mentioned you were coming to lunch."
"We surprised him. He didn't know we were coming."
"He could've texted me once he found out though" she pouted.
This girl could not be serious. Does she know she's talking to his girlfriend right now?
"He was a little preoccupied." I said through my teeth.
"Will" she said as she must've seen him walk up behind me. She smiled at him fondly and hugged him. He hugged her back.
I tinge of jealousy flowed through me. The boys all walked in and she hugged none them. What the hell? Is my boyfriend the only huggable one?
I'm overreacting. Maybe she just knows Will more than the others.
"You okay?" Will asked me. I smiled up at him.
"Perfect now that I'm here with you" I reached up to kiss him but someone tore him away from me.
"Oh Will I have something in my car I need you to grab later." Ellie said.
Couldn't she have been told him another time. Perhaps sometime when he wasn't about to kiss his girlfriend.
"Lunch's ready!" Leah called and the boys piled into the kitchen. Will and I walked in hand in hand.
It was a giant assembly line. We all grabbed a fork and plate. We scooped on the noodles then the meat and sauce. After that, we grabbed garlic bread and our choice of seasonings.
We all ate at the tables and bar. I sat at the dining room table with Will, Ellie, Christian, Carter, and Landon. Much to my dismay, Ellie was on the other side of Will chatting his ear off. Carter sat next to Christian across from Will. Landon sat on the other side of Christian.

Dad and Leah sat on the barstools. Dari, Bryson, Barrett and Haylie sat in the breakfast nook.
We all ate and talked and just had the best time together. Everyone was learning a lot about Carter and I. Sadly, Carter was telling all my embarrassing moments.
"We got a little bit of time let's chill in the living room" Dari suggested and we all agreed.
Will and I got the love seat. Ellie wasn't too happy she had to sit by someone else.
Carter reminded me to breathe in his subtle older brother way. I was essentially sitting in Will's lap and leaned back into his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and held me close.
This made me miss our morning cuddles. He kissed my head many times. I even looked back at him to really kiss him.
I knew that he loved me and nothing would ruin that. Not Ellie, or the distance, or time differences. Nothing can change how we fell about each other and being in his arms made me realize that.

"Welcome to the first home game of the season! I'm Phillip Jenkins and your favorite commentator for the Fighting Irish. I'm joined here today with Henry Carlin." The announcer, Phillip, announced.
"Hey everyone! I don't know about you but I'm ready for some football"
The whole stands went up in cheers. Including my family and our group of friends. The only one missing was Christian. Leah and Landon were both here.
"Hayls, where's Christian?" I asked.
She shrugged with a smirk playing on her lips. Something was definitely going on.
"Ladies and gentlemen, if I could direct your attention to the center of the field. Please rise as Notre Dame student, Christian Watkins, sings the national anthem." Phillip said.
I looked at my friends with my eyes wide. "No way" I said looking at Haylie.
She nodded. He started singing and it definitely wasn't expecting that. Christian was a great singer.
I just listened as I held my hand to my heart. He finished off the song and everyone cheered, especially our group. Leah was definitely a proud mama.
The game started. Will wasn't on the starting line up, but he's a freshman. It's understandable that he's not starting.
Soon enough Christian walked up to us and we all gave him hugs.
"When were you going to tell me that you could sing?" I asked Christian as I am gave him a big hug.
He shrugged. "Not that important mama" he answered. I hit him in the shoulder jokingly.
"Good job Christian, I bet your mama is extremely excited proud of you" dad said and clapped him on the shoulder.
"Yes sir she is" he answered with a smile.
We watched the game and cheered and yelled at the refs. I got up and got a drink half way through the third quarter. It was a little busy, but not too bad. Of course it was really expensive.
As I sat down, I saw Will going in. "Will is number nineteen, isn't he?" I asked excitedly. They nodded. "He's going in!" I squealed.
I cheered as my boyfriend ran out in the field.
"Looks like quarter back John Baker's shoulder is messing with him from his injury the prior year. Evidently, too much to continue the game. Coach is putting in freshman, William Erickson. I've heard a lot of good things about this kid" Phillip commented.
"Come on, Will" I whispered to myself.
Watching him play at this level was absolutely crazy. It's crazy how much he's flourished through these past four months.
He passed the ball to perfection to the guy at the twenty yard line. The guy ran another five yards before he got tackled.
"That's a first down for the fighting Irish!" Yelled Henry.
Our group erupted in screams for Will. We weren't even sure he was going to get to play.
"Let's go babe good pass" I cheered for him.
"Good job Will" Ellie yelled. I don't particularly care for her. I don't know why I just get the wrong vibe from her.
The next play will handed it off the the running back and he scored the touch down. Our fans went up in a roar, including us.
Will played for the rest of the game. We all exited the stadium and walked to the locker rooms. The boys probably wouldn't be out for another hour or so. We talked as we waited.
I noticed Will walking out and I waited for him to walk a little closer before running to him. I wasn't the only one who noticed. Ellie did too. The only difference was she ran up to hug him before I could even get to him.
I rolled my eyes at her. Was she serious? That's my boyfriend.
After they walked closer I ran and jumped into his arms. I wrapped my legs around his waist and he spun us around. I crashed my lips to his. He smiled against my lips.
"I'm so freaking proud of you Erickson" I said as our foreheads touched.
"Thank you snowflake that means a lot to me" he smiled. Soon enough he set me down and greeted the rest of the group.
He hugged Dad and Carter. Both were extremely proud of him. Next he hugged Christian, Leah, and Landon. Then Haylie after she finished kissing Barrett.
I moved my way to all the boys. I hugged them all and congratulated them on the win.
The thing that made me upset was Ellie. She never hugged any of the other boys. She just congratulated them. Besides having some sort of obsession with my boyfriend, she's a sweet and kind person.
"What do you say, snowflake?" Will asked.
"Huh?" I asked. "I zoned out. What are we talking about?" I elaborated.
"Do you wanna go to the after party? It's at Dari's. Carter's coming. You can stay the night if you want, and if your dad is okay with it"
I smiled at him. "If I get to spend time with you, I don't care where we go"
"Perfect" he pecked my lips.
We said goodbye to Dad, Leah, and Landon and piled into the different cars. I, of course, was in Will's truck with Carter and Ellie. Even though she brought her own car, she insisted on driving with us.
Will, being the nice guy he is, agreed. She threw a miniature fit because I got in the front seat instead of her.
Seriously this girl has got a nerve and I don't like it.
