It's been a few days since the incident with Aizen, I walked into Squad 4, tired and yawning. I was busy finishing up the paperwork since Rangiku seemed to have something on her mind so I wanted to leave her to that, and since Captain also seemed preoccupied since he was visiting Squad 4 a lot, most likely visiting Lieutenant Hinamori. I wanted to hurry so I had enough time to visit dad and ask him and Captain Yamamoto for permission to go back to the human world with Ichigo and the others. I smiled as various people greeted me and I made my way to my dad's room. I paused outside hearing another voice, it was Renji.

"- you're my Captain." Renji said.

"I shouldn't be listening.." I thought and was about to walk away when I heard dad.

"You probably wish I were dead." I heard dad's voice. "I imagine that's what you're thinking now." he said.

"No, you're wrong. If you were to die, then what motivation would I have to get stronger?" Renji asked. "In fact, Captain.. I..." I waited for Renji to continue but he stopped.

"Renji!" I heard ichigo's voice.

"What the hell?" I heard Renji yell in return.

I smiled and peeked around the door and walked in quietly and sat in the chair that I assume Renji was sitting on earlier.

"How dare you charge in here like that. I was just about ready to say something really cool, and you totally ruined the moment!" Renji said to him.

"Sorry, how was I supposed to know?" Ichigo asked. "Anyway, have you seen Rukia around anywhere lately?" Ichigo asked us.

"What? You better not have lost Rukia again." Renji said to him.

"No, I just thought you might know where she was." Ichigo said.

"What's going on, Kurosaki-kun?" Orihime popped up beside Ichigo.

".. Aren't we on the third floor?" I thought looking at Orihime.

"How did you get all the way up here?" Ichigo asked her. ".. All well, sorry to bother you Byakuya. Later, Renji." Ichigo said and left with Orihime.

"Something wrong, Captain?" Renji asked dad.

"Just that.. I certainly hope this, Ichigo, doesn't intend to keep calling me by my first name." dad said and I just laughed making them both turn to me.

"He probably will." I said getting up from the seat and walking towards dad. "How are you feeling?" I asked him.

"Better." he said and reached his hand out and pet my head.

I glanced at Renji, "Sorry Renji-san, but could I talk with him privately?" I asked him.

"Huh? Yeah.." he said walking towards the door, "And Renji is fine." he said and left.

I turned to look at dad. "Something wrong?" he asked and I shook my head.

"I wanted to tell you, and ask your permission first." I said. He said nothing and I continued. ".. When I was around 6.. do you remember?" I asked and he nodded. ".. That was when I met Kyln, my Zanpakuto." I said and held my hand out and reiatsu formed my Zanpakuto. I gripped it in my hand and smiled, "Kyln could tell I was weak, and about to die.. but still acknowledged me as his master... and offered to help me live .. by fusing with my body." I said looking at dad. "So, I agreed. Kyln's powers are sealed in this sword since he said the rush of power wouldn't be good for me, and I could gradually learn to control it. So, his spirit lives in me, not my sword." I explained to dad. "I want to go to the human world.. and learn to use Kyln better, and learn Bankai as well. Yoruichi-san offered to teach me as well, and I wanted to accept, but wanted to tell you first." I said to him.

Dad said nothing but he placed his hand over mine. "You do what you think is best." he said and I smiled holding his hand tightly. "Did you want to leave with that boy to the human world?" he asked and I nodded.

"Did you inform your own Captain and Captain Yamamoto?" he asked.

"I was going to after this." I said to him.

"In that case, you might be going a few days after that boy leaves. There is work to complete to allow you to go into the human world." he said and I nodded.

"But, I can go?" I asked.

"I rather you not." He said, "But you are old enough to make your own decisions and learn from your own mistakes." he said petting my hair.

I smiled and nodded, "I'll go and tell my Captain about this." I said and bowed before leaving dad's room.

The next day after telling Captain Hitsugaya about my decision, he seemed slightly annoyed, but I felt like it was only because it meant that he had to do the paperwork from now on, without help. Before going off to see Captain Yamamoto, I went to see Ichigo and the others off. I stood by Rukia as Orihime gave her a dress that Ishida made for her, telling Rukia that she absolutely must wear it.

"Hey, don't cause too much trouble." I said to Ichigo after he got his substitute shinigami pass, walking towards us.

He smiled and brought me into a side hug. "Take care of yourself here, and thanks for being a great girlfriend." he whispered the last bit and I smiled.

"True, I make a great (fake) girlfriend." I whispered smiling and pulled away from the hug. "Take care, have a safe trip home." I said and he smiled nodding his head. I stepped back and stood next to Rukia.

I bowed in front of Captain Yamamoto, after finishing my explanation of why I wanted to go to the human world. "A fusion with your Zanpakuto, I see.." he said and looked at my Zanpakuto that I held in my hand. "Very well. Not knowing the repercussions and possible consequences of your fusion with your Kyln, even with Yoruichi's guidance, may cause harm to innocent people, so we will be monitoring you. We would normally seal your Reiatsu in a case like this to prevent a spike in hollow activity, but we don't know what backlash it may have with your fused Zanpakuto." he said and I nodded.

"I'll be careful. I'll stay close to Yoruichi and -" he held up his hand stopping me.

"I understand." he said and had his lieutenant come over. "I'll send the paperwork over to Captain Hitsugaya to sign off on, and you may depart as early as tomorrow morning." he said and I nodded, and bowed, leaving the room and making my way back to Squad 10's barracks.

I sighed looking up to the clear sky. "... Man, do I gotta go back to school too?" I wondered..
