《Marinette One-Shots》Hello? Lukanette (songfic)

Marinette was back in Paris, after what had seemed like years, perhaps it was. She didn't know anymore.
Luka was there. Just across the square...
Luka... Luka had been her first lover, a friend till the end.
Marinette supposed it was poetic, that after all these years, after so much time, after all the drama, she'd see the one person who would always make her regret what had happened.
The Marinette he'd known was dead, and despite her best wishes, she couldn't change that.
Luka was probably better off still thinking she was dead.
Across the square, Luka sat with a girl, one who looked a lot like his sister.
He wasn't very far away...
All she had to do was walk over to him..
Oh what a couple they'd been.
So young, and innocent.
Wild, and confident.
Passionate.
What's Marinette wouldn't give to have those moments again.
Marinette had forgotten the sweet, sweet sensation their love had always brought her. She'd forgotten how amazing and exhilarating it had been.
He had grown, so nicely.
He had gotten more handsome, more mature, with an air of awareness,
Whereas she'd just become older. Perhaps with a sense of sadness and too much knowledge.
Marinette had considered calling Luka so many times since the fall of the greats, since Paris was.. so close to being destroyed.
She'd imagined calling Luka countless times.
Apologizing, explaining,
But she couldn't make herself do it.
Marinette hadn't really tried.
She knew that.
She was painfully aware of that, as she started at Luka, who looked so happy now.
Without her.
Was it wrong of her to be kinda upset that he wasn't torn up over her?
Yes.
Did she also wasn't him to forget her?
Yes.
She supposed that was the way of life.
Marinette still regrets breaking his heart.

He didn't deserve that.
She wasn't considering what he wanted.
Marinette knew that, as she began to pack up her stuff on the park bench.
Marinette didn't want to have to hurt the way she knew she would if she talked to him again.
She wanted him to be ok though.
Marinette still wonders if he ever made it anywhere with his music.
It certainly was good enough. It could've taken him places.
Age was slowly killing them.
More so Luka. Marinette wasn't going to age fast. Not for a long time.
As was the price.
She wanted to go say hello...
Marinette wouldn't.
She wanted to apologize, but she couldn't.
It still tore her to bits,
Even if was the only option.
Even if she did it to save the world.
From across the plaza, he seemed to be alright now.
Happy even.
Hesitating, Marinette took a step, then two, towards Luka..
"Hey Luka. How are you?"
"Marinette???"
