Squeeky sounds and loud thuds came from the gym. The echo bounces through the walls and the sounds fade away and came back along with the sounds of groans-as if trying to let out things in heart.
"Alright, Sing. That's it for today.." his coach said as Singto deliberately crouch down-hands on his knees, trying to catch his breath. He nodded to the coach and received a pat on his back as an encouragement before his coach left him. Singto dragged his legs to the bleachers, grabbing a bottle of water before gulping the whole thing down his throat. As he bring the bottle down, he caught the sight of the jersey he was wearing. It was his father's school's basketball team's jersey. He got one when he was in training with the team more than one month back. He didn't realise that was the jersey he put on before he came to practice that day. His thought went to the team's captain all of a sudden.
Krist would always be the last one to leave the gym as he really loves to stay back to train a little longer. His efforts and passion was one of the main reasons why he was elected as the team captain. The other reason was of course, he was incredibly good at it considering he has trained to play since he was 4. Krist would throw the ball to him and ask him to play a few shots before going home and they would eventually did without much of an exchange of words.
Singto would sometimes catch himself staring at Krist when they were playing with the team. He would focus on the team captain more because he wanted to know his capabilities. He knows that was what he was aiming for. Krist's love and passion towards basketball was proven through his observation and he somehow acknowledge the boy as the team captain.

Singo suddenly shake his head abruptly. He tried to throw the thoughts away from his mind as he chugged down the water inside the bottle again. He occasionally noticed that he had, sometimes, thinking about the boy—much to his dislikes. He didn't know why but the image and the memories about the boy kept on coming into his mind, not seeming to go away anytime sooner than he wanted. Singto quickly gulped down the last drop of the water in the bottle before grabbing his bag and make his way back to his house.

Singto was spreading his arms and legs lazily on his comfy bed when his phone started singing his favourite song >WHENEVER
"Where the heck are you, you knucklehead?" Before he could even greet the person, he was attacked with a question. He frowned. He had told her that he was back home.
"Thailand." he replied with all the confused shit he had in his mind.
"Exactly where?"
"In my room, on my bed." still confused.
"What are you still doing on your bed you, dumbass? You're gonna let your favourite girl starve and sleep at the airport alone?" she asked, faking a sad cry. Singto paused for a good 5 seconds before realising something.
"You what??" a sound of rustling on the line made the girl laughed as her plan was a success. Singto heard the small laughter from the other line.
"Surprise??" Upon hearing that, Singto quickly grabbed his carkeys and jacket before running down the stairs to the door-screaming to his mother, informing that he's going out to fetch a crazy woman, which his mother took exactly 5 minutes to process the information and figure out who he meant.

Arriving at the airport 30 minutes later after a few curses because of the heavy traffic, Singto saw her. She was in her casual wear-flowery blue dress wrapped around her body, a pair of blue heels, and a sunglass on top of her head. She was smiling brightly when she saw his car when it stopped in front of her. Singto quickly came out of the car and took the luggage in her hands and put it away in the boot of the car. Then he stands in front of her grinning face to process the situation.

"Janhae.."
"Singto.."
Then both of them smiled and hugged each other. Its been a while since their last meeting and Singto was not even believing this. He was even trying to process it when they were in the car, talking and catching up. Eventually when Janhae knows that Singto was taking a break, she tried her best to take her leave too but the company was having the biggest project in process so she had to delay the surprise. Then when she got a news that Singto would be leaving in a month, she made an arrangement to let her brother take after the project for her while she's away. And luckily that idea was approved by her grandfather after a few meetings and promises.

[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge.] Youth is something to be treasured, for it is the foundation upon which all experiences are built. It is also a time when some may Awaken as Ardents or Stoics; individuals who can draw great power from the Resonance of emotions. Rowan’efrii is one such youth, but at what cost? This is the story of her journey; of love and loss, friendship and isolation, fortune and tragedy. What can a girl do when she is faced with all the wonders and horrors that the world has to offer? Live! In the Kingdom of Særis, a group of renegade lords are seeking to enslave young adolescents to forge them into Ardents and Stoics. Those that fall will be used in a war against the Azure King. Will they break Rowan, or will they turn her into the very thing that will destroy them. Ardent Tears focuses heavily on all kinds of relationships including: romantic, familial, platonic and sexual. The MC is a clear example of this, especially as she is poly. Because of this, I gave the story my own Poly Tag. This won't be anything like a Harem story and it is being written by someone who is polyamorous (me). There is also going to be several LGBT themes throughout which can't be represented through Tags. Ardent Tears is now on Top Web Fiction. If you like the story, I'd appreciate it if you give me a boost by following this link and pressing boost. Massive thanks to KrazeKode for the amazing cover art. And special thanks to MelasD and Selkie for the shout-outs.
