《STAR || KristSingto》11

After days of thinking hard and getting a lot of other support from his surroundings—including Janhae's confusing words few days earlier, Krist found himself in front of Singto's doorstep on a sunny morning. Yes, morning. He was just too excited. And he didn't want to waste any more time. He doesn't know what reaction Singto will give him but he decided to just go for it. He won't know until he try. He told himself that if Singto rejects him, he will accept it—though words are easier to be said than done, he still wants to try his luck. He woke up too early and he decided to just go with it and there he was, standing infront of the door, regretting all his life decisions as his heart couldn't stop making weird beats. He was having a mental war inside his head, contemplating whether or not to push the doorbell when suddenly—much to his unfortunate luck, the door opened and revealed Singto's mother behind the door. At least he was lucky that it wasn't Singto who opened the door or his knees would just give up on him.
"Oh Krist! What are you doing here?" she asked. Krist smiled as he didn't know what to reply. He saw a garbage bag in her hands so he figured that she was about to throw the trash. He offers to take it out for her and she smiled before telling him to just come inside when he's done. Krist nodded and walked to the dumpster. He took a deep breath before stepping into the house. When he closed the door, he heard Singto's mother calling him from the kitchen.
Krist felt his heart dropped to the ground when he saw Singto at the dining table. The look on Singto's face shows that he was too surprised by the sudden visit. He stopped eating and stared at Krist for a good minute before realising his act. He quickly shove his pancake into his mouth.

"Come sit with us." Singto's father offered and pulled the seat next to him which was across from Singto. Singto did not react and just focused on his plate of pancakes infront of him. Krist didn't greet Singto because he was, of course, awkward and still thinking about his decisions. He glanced at Singto a few times and said thankyou and smiled when Singto's mother put a plate of pancakes in front of him.
He ate in silence and just replied when Singto's parents ask him questions. Singto was quiet the entire time and that makes him feel even more awkward. He felt like Singto wasn't comfortable with him there.
"What brings you here? I thought we don't have any practice today." Singto's father asked after they're done with breakfast. Singto got up from his seat to the sink and then make his way to the fridge to find something else inside.
"Ermm.. No, sir.. I was- um.. Actually-.... I'm- I'm here to talk to P Sing." he said, trying not to look at Singto who obviously was surprised by his answer. His parents was too but they just nodded and walked out of the kitchen to give privacy to the boys. Singto watched as his parents make a way to their room before turning to the fridge again, looking for god knows what inside there.
"What do you wanna talk about?" he asked the boy without looking at him.. "Juice?" Krist nodded at the question and few seconds later Singto put a glass of orange juice infront of him. He mouthed a thank you. Krist could feel his heart beating fast and he couldn't make out what he was supposed to say. He just took the glass and drink the juice and in 5 gulps he finished the drink. Singto watched in surprised.

"I swear I'm not drunk." he said and Singto frowned, as he took a seat at the kitchen bar in front of Krist.
"Who would drink in early morning? Besides, you shouldn't be drinking yet." He said, drinking his juice. Krist mumbled something only for his ears to hear and Singto just watched as he was too feeling a bit nervous.
"When is your flight back?" Krist started the coversation.
"August 15th. Why?" Krist nodded as his head was still fighting inside trying to find the right words to express his feelings. He regretted everything and he mentally cursed himself for not preparing anything in advance.
"Krist..." Krist felt a garden just grow in his heart when Singto called him. He swear his heart might give up on him if this continues.
"If you don't wanna talk, I'm going upstairs." Singto said and before he could move, words that came out from Krist's mouth made his legs froze in the spot.
"I like you."
He did not know what to do nor what to say in this situation. Krist on the other hand was shaking so bad. He knew this was a bad idea. Singto did not even move. He again, mentally cursed himself for making a reckless decision. Krist bit his lips hard as he was not sure of what to say next. The words that came out earlier wasn't in plan but it just came out because he was panicked.
"I thought you like my dad."
Krist choked on his own saliva at the remarks.
He was confused.
WHAT ???
"Huh??" was the only word that came out of his mouth. He was indeed surprised. Singto turned to him, Krist felt like he was about to make himself look stupid but he tried not to be that person.
"I said, I thought you like my dad." Singto repeated his words as he thought that Krist didn't hear him at first.
"I heard that. But why?" He replied as he faced Singto. His curiosity got the best of him and he gained confidence. Seeing Singto's flustered face gave him confidence and he was sure of his decision for the first time that day.
"Well, you're so close with him. I don't know it just felt like that."
"Why would I like your father? He has a wife and I'm not crazy to like a 45 years old married man with a loving wife when he has a very hot son whom I can drool over." That confidence made him say things that he was supposed to just save in his mind. He immediately regret his words, leading him to bit his lips. Much to his likings, Singto raised his brow, approaching him.
"Drool over?" Singto said. Krist bit his lips, nervous of the distance between the two.
"Are you sure you like his son? Not him?" he asked as he stand in front of Krist. Krist who was just looked like he had the world in his hands, suddenly become a shy teenage girl who look like she just accidentally confessed to her 10 years crush. Krist nodded his head slowly. Singto smirked.
"Well, I guess its your lucky day.. Because his son might like you too."

Starchild
“It’s life’s illusions I recall. I really don’t know life at all.” from the song, Both Sides Now, by Joni Mitchell Starchild is an adventure novel set within an understanding of reality that is rooted in Eastern spiritual traditions. It takes as its starting point experiments in remote viewing that were genuinely undertaken by the American military in the nineteen-nineties under the name of the Stargate Project. It then imagines how a more advanced attempt to weaponise the capabilities of consciousness might have been developed in the present day.The story then explores how Ultimate Reality might respond to such a threat.Deep, elemental forces thus bring together Samantha Martin and Sahadeva Varma, old colleagues from the Stargate Project, to avert the apocalyptic consequences of this military attempt to weaponise consciousness. This fast-paced story spans genres including romance, action, adventure, science fiction and more. Although this story is based on concepts drawn from established spiritual traditions, these have sometimes been extrapolated to the point of very extreme speculation for the needs of an adventure story.Much of the underlying philosophy, however, as explained in the dharma talks given by Samantha Martin, is paraphrased from the guidance of respected spiritual teachers. Scheduling: Starchild is a previously unpublished novel of one hundred thousand words which was serialised in weekly instalments over twenty-five weeks from 15th November 2021 to the 29th April 2022. Each instalment contains five chapters – an average of approximately four thousand words in each instalment.
