Chapter Thirty-Eight
Empty Rooms
I began putting my things into my bag, various items from Scott's room that belong to me. My tooth brush, my clothes, my coconut oil, everything. "Victoria, what are you doing?" Scott asked from his spot in the doorway.
"I need to go home." I spoke simply, opening one of his drawers that had my stuff in it. My mind was reeling. Isaac almost died tonight, Stiles is gone and has something inside of him... I just need to go home.
Clothes were moving quickly from the drawer to my bag but, nothing would fit. I tried stuffing them in but, I couldn't do it. Scott grabbed my hands, stopping me. "Victoria, calm down. What's going on in your head?"
My eyes fell closed and I took a steadying breath. "I need to be at the house in case he comes home. I have to wait for him." Scott sighed rubbing my harms up and down. "Okay. Let me help you pack and then I'll take you home."
I nodded, forcing a small smile. "Thank you."
Since I'd gotten home, I ended up cleaning Stiles' room. I took down all the red string that was strung throughout his room in random places. I kept up his board though. I just took the scissors and such off his bed.
I re-made his bed and I did his laundry. I cleaned our bathroom. I made sure it would be clean for him when he got home. I didn't want him to have to worry about anything. My dad tried to get me to stop after the first day of cleaning but, I couldn't.
Then, he tried to get me to sleep but, I couldn't do that either. Every time I closed my eyes I had nightmares about Stiles being dead. At first I thought I was having visions but, then I realized they were just my own fears.
"Any news?" I asked from my spot on the couch, my eyes were tired and my vision blurry. I needed to sleep. My dad sighed on his way out the door. "Not yet." I looked down. "It's been forty-eight hours."
My dad nodded. "We'll find him." Would we?
I grabbed one of my mother's journals and went into Stiles' room. I made myself comfortable under the covers on his bed, breathing in the scent of my brother. I missed him and I was losing hope that he'd come back from this.
With a sigh, I opened my mother's journal to a random page.
April 10th, 1994 Two days after Stiles and I were born. I smiled slightly.
I've never been happier than I am in this moment. Noah and I just brought two perfect babies into this world. Victoria and Mieczyslaw Stilinski. Mieczysław goes by Stiles though, Noah gave him the nickname when the Doctor's couldn't pronounce his name. I think it's sweet.
I had a vision today, it was of my daughter. She was older, at least 17, and she was so beautiful. She looks a lot like Noah's grandmother, which makes me happy. In the vision she was lying on a bed with a blue bed spread, a notebook in her hands... I think it was this notebook. And she was crying.
She was also pregnant, which was weird to see. Seeing my own daughter pregnant at 17, that doesn't seem that far away. I know that I'm not in her life, because I know when I'll die, but...
I was crying. My mother knew I'd be reading this page when she wrote it. How incredible is that. And how sad that she also knew that she was already gone. "Oh mamma..." I whispered.

Victoria, my sweet girl, if you are reading this page I want you to know that I love you more than anything. You and your brother are my whole world. You probably have some questions about your visions and how our abilities work, I know I did. So, if you are curious and want to know more about our family, I suggest you read my first journal.
Good luck baby girl, you're going to be an incredible mother and a fantastic seer. Use your gift wisely my dear. I love you.
I closed my eyes, holding the journal to my chest while grabbing my locket in my other hand. The pendant burned cold in my hands and I couldn't help but sigh. My mother gave me this locket before she dies, she said it would help me when I needed it.
My eyes opened wide and I sat up quickly. When I was seven she told me about the locket and its importance, when she gave it to me she told me it would help me... What does this mean? I stood up from Stiles' bed, making my way to the garage.
If you want to know more about our family, I suggest you read my first journal.
I have to read her first journal. Maybe she wrote something of importance in there, something that would help me understand all of this... why I can't have a vision right now and how to better control my gift.
Right as my hand touched the handle to the door, my phone rang. It was Lydia. "Hello?" I could hear Lydia breathing heavily. "Victoria, Scott found your brother." My heart leaped in my chest. "Oh my god... I've got to... I'm heading to the school now to meet them there. Oh my god." I grabbed the Jeep's keys from the kitchen counter, making my way out the door.
"That's not it though. There's a bomb on a school bus and I'm at Derek's loft right now... don't go to the school." I nodded, frowning. "Okay, I'll go to the station and wait for my dad to bring Stiles back."
Lydia sighed, "okay be careful." I nodded, "you too. let me know how it goes with Peter."
I pulled up to the station, parking the Jeep in the back. Stiles was okay. For now at least... I just had to see him. I locked the door, brushing my hair behind my ear while I walked toward the station door.
My hand barely touched the handle when I was blown backwards. I was quick to put my arms behind me, catching me from landing on my back or ass too hard. Glass sprayed from the windows, getting caught in my hair and cutting up my face.
Ringing sounded in my ears as I blinked my eyes open. Everything around me felt fake, I could see the officers running to and from the station and I could see the blood coming from the people inside but, I didn't hear any of it.
I still jumped into action, running over to an officer who was bleeding from the abdomen and face. "You're okay... you're gonna be okay." I whispered while beginning to apply pressure to his abdomen, forcing myself to push down even though my wrist hurt.
Cries of pain were the first thing I heard when my hearing returned. But, I couldn't focus on that, I was too busy focusing on my blood covered hands and the shallow breaths of this woman beside me.

I let go of her wound for a moment, pulling off my hoodie and then using that to soak up some of the blood and, hopefully, stop her from bleeding so horribly. "You're going to be okay." I smiled at her, nodding reassuringly.
Her eyes were glossy as she nodded, one of her hands reached up to grab my wrist lightly. She was looking for comfort. I swallowed back my tears. "Can you tell me your name?" I asked, trying to get her to stay awake.
She nodded, "C-Clara." I nodded, smiling, "okay Clara, I need you to stay awake for me, okay?" She nodded, tears spilling from her eyes. "Tell me about yourself, are you from here?" Clara shook her head, "n-no... I'm from.... LA."
I smiled at her, "nice. Do you miss it?" I looked up from her, trying to see if anyone was here to help yet. No one was. "Y-yeah.... I mi-miss muh... my ma...mom." I licked my lips nervously, looking up for the fifth time, hoping someone else would be here.
"Yo-you're pregnant?" Clara asked, well, stated. I nodded smiling. "Yeah, four months with twins. Tell you what, once you survive this, you're invited to my baby shower." I joked slightly, hoping that it would give her incentive to survive. She smiled at me, her eyes filling with more tears.
"Get me an ambulance here at the sheriff's station. We've got an explosion. We've got multiple officers down. Multiple officers down! We need an ambulance ASAP, on the double." I sighed in relief at the sight of my dad.
I could've cried when I saw Stiles and Scott behind him. "D-Dad!" I yelled out. His eyes snapped toward mine and in a moment he and the boys were beside me, my dad took over applying pressure to Clara's wound while Scott helped me from the floor.
"You're hurt." Scott's brows furrowed as her wiped blood from my cheek. I shook my head, "I'm fine. These people though... they're not. I don't, how did this happen?" I bit my lip looking around at the destruction.
Stiles looked down at the girl. "Scott... scott. Can you do something? Take away her pain, something?" Scott nodded, bending down to take away her pain. I brought Stiles into my arms, holding him tightly.
"You're okay..." I breathed out, sighing into his neck. Stiles held me back just as tightly. "I'm okay. But.." He pulled back with sad eyes. "I, I did this, Victoria." He motioned around the room.
My eyes widened slightly. Stiles did this? He could've killed Clara, he most likely did kill someone. I took a step back from him. I know it wasn't him and rather... this thing inside him but, it hurt knowing that my brother's body did this.
I covered my mouth with the back of my arm, shaking my head. "It wasn't you, Stiles." Kira appeared beside us before Stiles could respond. "The oni, they're coming." Scott stood up quickly, "Stiles, we have to get you out of here."
"I'm gonna stay here, keep him safe, Scott." He nodded before all three of them left from the station, taking the Jeep with them. I let out a breath, turning back to the mess around me. I had to help these people.
I quickly went over to an officer who was lying back with a shard of glass in his arm and his head was bleeding. I grabbed onto his arm, looking around for someone who had an extra item of clothing. "Derek! Derek, come help me!"
Derek came over, crouching beside me. "Are you okay? You're bleeding." I shook my head. "Don't worry about me, can you-- can you take his pain?" I whispered to him. Derek nodded and went to grab the mans arm.
"And can I have your shirt?" He sighed before taking off his button down shirt, leaving him in a t-shirt. I smiled at the officer, instructing him to use his free hand to apply pressure to the back of his head with the shirt.
I continued doing this until the ambulance came and they had to check me out. They did a quick ultra sound, gave me a couple stitches on my cheek, and gave me a wrap for my wrist which was sprained.
At this point, I just wanted to go find Stiles and go home, but I knew I'd have to wait till morning to actually see my brother. I can't believe this is what my life has become. There's always something wrong... we can never have a moment of peace.
"Ready?" My dad asked, walking from the station. I nodded, forcing a small smile. "To wait up for Stiles? Yeah. For sure." My dad laughed, putting his arm around me and leading me to the car. "You know, you did really good in there."
I smiled at that, a genuine smile. "Really? You think so?" My dad nodded. "I really do. Have you thought of being a paramedic or a nurse?" He asked. I shrugged, "I was more thinking along the lines of surgeon but, paramedic could work too... until I have the time to go to med school."
My dad kissed my head, "dream big, Victoria."
A/N: Another chapter is up! I hope ya'll enjoyed it. It's kinda short but, I like it. All the action is soon to come. I don't know what I'm gonna do with Victoria during all of that. I'll figure it out though.
Side note... I started writing another story it's called "Cold Blooded" and it's about Lydia Martin's older sister, Dorothy. She's a super badass character and I love her. I really like the aesthetic and idea I have behind the book. So far I only have the aesthetic and epigraph published but the first chapter will be up later in the week. I'm not sure who the love interest is going to be yet, but I'm thinking it'll be Scott or maybe Stiles. One of the two, maybe both?
Anyways, I'd really appreciate it if you went and checked it out! And maybe let me know what you guys think of the concept? I dunno. Oh, and even though I'm starting another story, I want ya'll to know that Unexpected will come first in regards to which one gets worked on if I can only work on one.... if that makes sense?
Other note... did anyone watch the Teen Wolf 9-year reunion? I watched it today and now I'm going to binge watch the whole series again.... agh I miss them so much!
Anywhoo...That's all from me! Thank you again for all of the love and support you guys are showing my book, you don't even know how happy it makes me to see your comments and votes. I still can't believe how far this book has come since I first started writing it.
Please vote and comment with your feedback on this chapter! Another chapter will be up either tomorrow or later in this week, I'm not sure what my schedule is looking like right now but, I have started working on it. Until next time--XO!

After unbuttoning the first two buttons on her collar, he tilted his head down, whispering to her ears. «Because they want to be the one to undress the cloth.»He paused and kissed her neck, turning the pale skin to red before retracting his move to fix his eyes on her and leisurely replied. «Unfortunately, you can’t wear the dress over there with this.» He chuckled and passed a box over to her hand. «And the fortunate news is I prepared a dress for you.»

The Hazards of Skinny Dipping
This isn't a deep book about first loves or self-discovery. If you want a book like that, I'd be happy to recommend one, but I don't have that kind of story to tell. Instead my story is about rash decisions and finding out that your dream guy is bad in bed. It's the story of when I finally went skinny dipping, and how my life was never the same again. Oh, and it's also the story of my freshman year of college and realizing Mr. Right might have been there all along.
