AMYRAH 

I woke up early as usual, prayed Fajr (Morning prayer) and did my morning routine of yoga before parting for a shower and getting ready for the day 

My day usually consisted of me going to work, doing what i love best and then coming back home and sleeping 

it was like a routine 

but all in all, i loved my work and that spoke alot 

I am the CEO of Rain Advertising Ltd. We design billboards and posters for elites all over the world. We started small and after the big hit with the Apple. Inc of Canada, we made it in the big world 3 years ago and since then, we have been up and high, Alhamdulillah 

I showered and then got dressed for work. 

I am a black kinda person. I wear black every day and my closet was full of black clothes. 

Like today, since its Mid- Januray, its cold here and here i am wearing black dress, leggings and a black overcoat with grey hijab since my dress was black and grey 

I took my boots before walking downstairs to my living room. This building, also happens to be owned by some elite, was my home 

I wore my shoes at the entrance and took my handbag and phone before walking out of the penthouse, closing the door shut behind me 

I set my hijab and inched closer into my coat as i felt the rush of winter air into the passage. 

who was dumb enough to open that glass door? I thought smugly when i saw the large glass door open and the air rushing in

i walked to the door and just before i could pull it close, i noticed a silhouette at the railings 

The outside was under a roof of glass where you could see up and see the snow falling happily on it. The roof covered only uptil the railings from where you can catch snow falling. 

I stared at it and debated whether to tell him to go in or leave it 

From his figure, it was pretty obvious it was a male species

I cleared my throat but it did not catch his attention 

I cleared it again, abit louder this time and yet he did not respond 

leave it Amyrah, maybe its a sign from Allah to leave him be

Sometimes my inner voices were sensible, other times not 

but this time i guess i would have to go with it 

"Umm...... its cold outside.......and i would like to close this door?" i said out loud and yet he did not answer 

was he like deaf or something? 

I walked outside in the cold towards him and stood behind him 

"Are- are you alright?" i asked him and slowly he turned 

By Allah, he was one of the most beautiful species i ever saw 

Okay so maybe not exactly if you count channing tatum and Kim Woo Bin but he still had that look on him 

"Uhhh hi?" i said, smiling awkwardly and he stared at me for a moment before breaking into a small smile 

"Umm hi?" he replied, looking awkward too 

"Okay so i guess you will close the door behind you?" i asked him and he nodded 

I nodded and turned back to head to work 

guess he would have to deal with it 

I faintly heard the glass door close and smiled

Expecting him to be in the same elevator as me, i realized i was really wrong when he entered the house right opposite mine 

The same penthouse that was reserved for a very long time. By that i mean almost 3 years since i came here 

Oh so he was the new neighbour 

Interesting 

"Esha, can we not do this?" i asked her for the nth time as she began dictating words 

"Absolutely not! You are meeting one of the most richest elites of Australia, you cannot possibly go wrong in your speech!" she said and i sighed rubbing my head 

"Esha, they are just coming to hitch a deal about us advertising their newly established business in Canada-" i stated "-Like everyone else did!" 

"Puhlease! They might get happy with us and even offer us more money" she winked at me and i could not help but laugh at her expense 

More money? 

Like we don't have enough now 

"Which reminds me, did you send the funds to the orphanage?" i asked her, cutting her monologue 

"-Yes-" she said before continuing 

"Do we have enough of the information about this company?" i asked her again interrupting her and she growled

"-yes!- on your desk- now let me practice!" she muttered, pacing the floor infront of me 

Esha was more like a friend than a PA i swear 

I took the folder with the logo of palm trees and something that i cannot perceive clearly so i let it pass 

Opening it, i started reading 

Palm Hotels came under the banner of Zaeef Industries and was most established of all. Palm hotels will be having a grand opening in Vancouver and Toronto soon but before that, they needed to advertise which is where we come in 

"Ma'am, your meeting with Palm hotels is scheduled for now and three associates from Palm hotels are here" said the receptionist on the intercom 

"Alright, send them to the conference hall. I will be there in 5" i told her and cut off 

"They are here!" Sang Esha, walking towards me in her 3 inch heels and straightening her knee length blue dress 

"Shall we?" i asked her, smiling slightly and she nodded 

We walked out of my office towards the conference hall 

"You think we can do this?" she asked me 

"Esha, those people are just humans! We have met with the CEO of Apple and Samsung, i think we can do this too!" i stated, squaring my shoulders and walking straight 

"Alright, alright" she muttered and then walked towards the door of the conference hall 

She stood there and i took my time to compose myself as i walked to her 

Once in front of it, i did my usual dua before entering after Esha 

My eyes traveled to the three men who stood facing the city 

"Good Morning, gentlemen" said Esha, her voice perfectly calm 

They turned one by one and realization hit me 

It was a jaw dropping, eye widening and show stopping moment for me 

The guy who is my supposedly neighbour stood before me with another male 

could luck be any more on my side?
