《The Charming Billionaire.》CHAPTER 27

Chapter 27: The News.
"GUYS THAT!!!" yelled Urwa, running towards the huge building, labelled as TappooCity. The people around them gave them weird looks, who wouldn't? Imagine, four hijabi's running towards the door of a mall.
"Girls, stop running! You will get hurt!" scolded Ehaan, pulling Aaiyla back by her denim jacket.
"Pfftt right Sir, we forgot the school rules!" she retorted sarcastically and Ehaan grinned at her.
Amyrah chuckled at them and sighed. Their pair was very unique. Aaiyla was known for her sass in school, no one got away with saying things to Aaiyla. Ehaan, on the other hand, was known for brains in school. No one could beat him in science. At all.
"You are thinking why they are together?"
Amyrah jumped, startled by his voice.
"Dude, you almost gave me a heart attack!"
"I know, but I was right, wasn't i?" he questioned and she sighed.
"Yes"
Kayan grinned like a chestier cat.
"Lets go food court. I am hungry"
"Yes please"
"Kayan is paying" that was Amyrah.
Kayan turned to her surprised.
That was the first time she commented on something related to him.
"Cool"
Amyrah grinned.
"Lets order!"
"FOOOOOOODDD" drawled Aaiyla like a zombie.
"Food is life" she added, putting her head on the table. Amyrah chuckled and patted her head.
"But I thought I was your life" said a very confused Ehaan, teasing his wife.
"You wish"
"Guys, lets eat" interjected Farhaan and everyone nodded.
"Can I just have a cup of coffee?" questioned Umair, and everyone shook their heads.
"No"
"Fine"
Breakfast went well, after food, the girls were hyped up to look around the city.
"Anyone of you wants to go watch a movie?" questioned Raha and everyone shook their heads.
"I wanna see the city"
"Yes me too"
"Dang it, its so hot here!" muttered Raha, fanning herself.

It was indeed hot. Amyrah was red as a tomato and so was Kayan. Being used to the cold of their countries did nothing but worsen the heat of Fiji.
"I can't believe this!"
"What?" questioned Kayan.
"We are going to the sea wall! Watch the waves carress the shore and leave our footprints on the sand!" said Kulthum, walking with Yazdan who was holding her hands firmly to avoid any accidents to their troublemaker sister.
"Did you just use poetic devices to speak?" questioned Safwah and Kulthum grinned at him.
"Why of course!" she replied, looking ahead.
The sea wall was a place where people went for a rest or relaxation. A place that was filled with the sounds of water, ships coming in or going out and the buzz of the life in the city. It was not a quite place but it did give calm and relaxation to the person.
Well, thats how Amyrah saw it.
She set on the wall, that was about a meter high, around 5 meters from the sea shore, her legs dangling and hitting the sand occasionally.
She looked into the vast ocean and smiled to herself.
Kayan took a seat beside her, as he watched his siblings run and play at the shore.
"Beautiful, is it not?"
"Indeed" Kayan smiled at the sea.
"I was thinking............." he began and Amyrah turned to him.
"You were thinking......?"
"That maybe....... you would like to go to one of the islands with me?" he questioned and she turned to him surprised.
"What?"
"No- that- it- uh- it came out wrong! I meant with us, with us!" he panicked, his ears going red and then his face.
Amyrah stared at him and then began laughing.
"Perhaps not" he muttered and she laughed.
"No-No, its nothing like that" she explained, once she sobered up. "-It was just how you spoke. Plus after the wedding, maybe?"

Kayan nodded, before drinking his iced chocolate.
"I want that too" she sighed, beginning to stand up to go buy herself some.
"Here" he handed her his and nodded. "-I was full anyway"
She stared at him before taking it.
"Spare straw?" she questioned him and he sighed, giving her another straw.
"Thank you!" she grinned, before taking it and drinking the iced chocolate. It felt heaven!
The day went eventful, from shopping to sightseeing to playing games. By the night, everyone was tired.
So tired that they slept as soon as they entered their apartments.
All except Amyrah and Kayan. Both having no idea about the other.
Amyrah got dressed in her jeans and tees before taking her long jacket and hijab before walking out to the terrace. Just then her mother called.
"As salamu alaikum mama"
"Was salaam Amyrah. How are you?" she questioned.
"Alhamdulillah, hows everyone there?"
"Good, You people are returning in two days right?" she questioned and Amyrah answered affirmative.
"Amyrah,....... there was som-something I wanted to ask you" her mother hesitated and Amyrah knew it was important.
"What is it?" she questioned, sitting on the cold floor, at the railings, looking out to the night city lights.
"Well you see......... after the engagement..." she hesitated again.
"Mama, speak!"
"There is a proposal for you"
"A proposal? I am not at work mama, I can't review-"
"Its a marriage proposal, Amyrah!"
Amyrah felt her blood run cold.
A marriage proposal?
"What?"
"Yes darling! They are a good family, the boy is very nice and they have requested to see you"
"NO"
"What?"
"No mama, I said no" she firmly replied, ignoring the thumping of her heart.
"At least know the family before you say something else! And your father and I have said yes to them seeing you!"
"What? Mama, you know that I am not interested!"
"They are from New Zealand as well! Plus your jiju knows them!" (Brother-in-law)
"Thats the problem! I don't want to get married anywhere!" '-Or at least to anyone else" she muttered the last part in a low voice, barely audible.
"No mama"
"Amyrah" Noor was firm this time. "-They are coming to see you this Wednesday, cut your trip short or whatever, I don't care. Come here by Wednesday because they are coming to see you. End. Of. Story"
Amyrah set there in silence, absolutely no words could describe what she was feeling.
"Okay mama, Allah Hafiz" she whispered. Her mother replied and then hung up.
She set there, cross legged at the terrace of the building, staring into the night lights, wandering why her life had taken a drastic turn!
Oh Allah, please help! Please Please Pleasee!
"Something wrong?"
Amyrah turned to see Yazdan, standing there.
"Ah nothing. I just could not sleep"
"Uhuh, thats why your face looks pale as if you have seen a ghost!"
"My life is becoming a haunted nightmare anyway" she muttered to herself before smiling at him.
"Okay" he shrugged and set down on the railing.
"You will fall" she reprimanded him.
"Jeez, Its like you are already my older bhabhi!" he teased, hooking his legs onto the railing.
Amyrah shot him a glare. If things go more down the hill, she would be married to someone else very soon!
"Whats the problem? Is it my brother?" he questioned and Amyrah shook her head.
"How do you know about u- oh you were in Canada with him"
"No, he told all of us about you"
At this, Amyrah's head snapped up to him.
"Say what?"
Yazdan let out a small laugh.
"Yes, just the siblings thou- but it won't be long before my entire fam finds out" he replied shrugging as if it were the most common thing in the world.
"Ahh man!!!" she whined, getting up.
"Where are you going?" questioned Yazdan.
"Suicide!"
"WHAT?"
"No it was a joke dude!"
"Phew"
"Go sleep brother!" she muttered before walking away.
Great, add another dilemma to Amyrah's life!
What are you playing at Fate?
