"You are so handsome", I admired him as he picked me up and I wrapped my arms around him as he kissed my forehead.

"Time to go", he said as he carried me to the car as I laughed at all the people looking at us like we were crazy, but really we were just crazy in love.

We were greeted by Mr. Johnson as he ushered us inside the car and Nolan put me down. I climbed in the car waiting for the moment until he got in the car so I could snuggle with him all over again.

He stepped in the car as I hugged him dearly, and he knew a seatbelt couldn't separate us.

After an hour of snuggling we finally made it and this time it wasn't at their house it was a large castle, with a red carpet and everything. There were many people all in fancy dresses with inseam stitches and designer names.

"Milady", a hand extended from the now open door as flashes were heard in the distance, questions were being thrown out as I climbed out of the black car. He took my hand as I knew these questions would only mess with me, I kept a calm face and tightened my grip on his hand.

The bodyguards pushed us through

the gates as questions like "what is your relationship" or "who is she" where being spat out at every second, even after we went through the gate, but I kept a strong face well I tried too. All questions that were supposed to be resolved tonight to our family and friends well his family and friends and when I say friends I mean clients.

The inside of the ball was decadent, it was flourished with flowers imported from England and chairs imported from Spain. The room was decked out in the littlest detail to the large fountain of chocolate and the ice sculpture. The song If the stars were mine was singing in the distance as I peered to the stage and saw a beautiful lady on the stage, swaying to the music.

"Natalie, you look stunning", Alison came and greeted me as she hugged me. She was wearing a royal blue gown with a diamond necklace, she looked stunning.

"Alison, you look amazing", she smiled at me as she pulled me to the side. I needed this side moment with her as a push of encouragement as I knew what I was going to do tonight.

"Honey, there is no need to be worried, it's just a small dinner party with friends and family, you'll meet everyone before and believe me these people want nothing but happiness for the two of you", she said as she made me realize how foolish I had been acting.

"You're right, I'm sorry I guess I've just been worrying about this, and um is my father and step-wife here?", I shivered as I remembered him kicking my stomach as I coughed on my own blood. I snapped out of the scary reality that had happened only 2 days ago and I steadied myself.

"They are here, but I put them far away from our table", she said understandingly as Nolan and I made contact across the room and my heart lit on fire, he made that happen.

"Could I talk to you about something?", I asked her as I was worried about what she was going to say. I hadn't had a mother to ask what everything was, all I knew in life was that men were not supposed to touch me unless I said yes.

"Yeah of course, here", she steered me to the crowd as we made our way to the balcony and we pushed the heavy doors open as we braved the coldness.

"Is Nolan treating you okay", her question had come out as I'm guessing was speculated.

"Yes, he's treating me like a queen and tonight I wanted to tell him that I love him", she squealed and hugged me very tightly as I was also excited as she smiled at me strongly and I saw a tear drip down her cheek.

"Oh, I'm so happy", she smiled as she hugged me again and I could tell she was happy.

"I just didn't know how or when my mom and I never really talked about boys, I was too young", I said as I played with my hair as she hugged me again.

"He loves you very dearly, whenever you believe that it's right, then that's the time, but both of you know how you feel, you two love each other like no tomorrow, have you two done it?", she asked as I was afraid of that question popping up and I just smiled at her advice, thinking that would be something my mom would say, she would say it always comes from the heart.

"I haven't, I don't know how to initiate it and I told him about it and he said he wants it to be special", I blurted out to my husband's mom about how we haven't had sex yet and I just put my hands across my face as I felt ashamed. Hands pulled me over to the side as she pulled me into her chest as I leaned into her.

"You'll know when it's right", she said as she comforted me as the door swung open as a woman came out on the balcony as Alison looked up and smiled.

"They're looking for you ma'am", she was dressed as a waiter as the woman disappeared behind the door and Alison dusted her legs off and wiped her tears away.

"Let's go", she took my shoulder as we entered the ballroom back again as I saw Nolan surrounded by women, beautiful women. Nolan spotted me as he smiled back and excused himself as he made his way over to me and as he was walking the women who crowded him looked at who he was walking towards. They looked as if they were going to kill me.

"Mom, can I have my date back, please", he asked as he wrapped his arms around my waist and I smiled strongly as he kissed my forehead and Alison smiled.

"Yes, why don't I show you to your seats?", she said as she guided us through the crowds as the eyes from the room floated onto me.

"Everyone's staring at us", I said as I brushed back my hair to make sure the first appearance I had attended I didn't make an utter fool of myself.

"Everyone's staring at you", he said as he leaned in and kissed my forehead as it made people around us gasp. Alison ushered us to our seats as I felt eyes on me, the rest of the night.

Nolan's father made his way to the stage as he winked at Alison, who's cheeks had become a cherry red as she looked back up at her husband. Nolan held my hand as we sat down and the eyes were now on the stage.

"Thank you all for coming, as most of you know my beautiful wife Alison and I started "Orphans Project", to help orphans in need and find a better solution for orphans around the world. We hosted this ball today to congratulate you all for donating funds to this wonderful organization and we hope you continue as there are so many children in the world who need help, thank you and enjoy your dinner, we also have a special announcement coming later in the evening, enjoy", he said as the audience clapped in his midst as the audience was now turned to the event speaker.

Waitresses came out and served the tables, bringing each course out one by one. They were all dressed very professionally, the ladies were wearing black dresses and the men were wearing black ties.

A women came and placed m food in front of me as I thanked her and she went back to get the rest, I looked down at the plate as a single hors d'oeuvre was on the plate, everyone hadn't eaten yet and so I simply waited. This better not be one of those 10-course meals, that serve very small quantities.

As everyone around me started to eat, I copied Alison's movements as she sliced the treat in half and ate one side. I had never been taught proper etiquette as my mom knew that I would run as fast as I could to get away from the spotlight.

I had ended up stuck in this world, but this time it was simply my choice because I get to spend it with the one I love and I would do anything and everything for him.

"There are 7 courses, so you better still have room in that stomach", he leaned into me as he whispered against my soft skin, feeling his hot breath against my earlobe.

"If all 7 courses are like this one, then by the end of the night I'll still be hungry", I whispered as he smiled and laughed at me slightly as I saw Avery slip in her seat as she wrapped her arm around me as she sat next to me.

"I'm so sorry I was late mom", she went and hugged her mom as Alison's eyes became severely worried.

"It's fine, it's just sweetie you're never late for anything is everything okay?", she asked as I realized it was true, Avery was never late for anything she was precisely on time, even early.

"I just had a wardrobe malfunction, that's all", she said as she tried to hide the grinning smile behind her handbag as she leaned in to whisper something.

"I have to talk to you, come on", she said as she smiled brightly to me and I knew she couldn't last another minute without telling someone.

"I'm going with Avery, don't wait up", I walked away as I blew him a kiss and he gave me that goofy smile. The one I had fallen in love with and would love to fall in love with it all over again.

As we made it to the bathroom, she checked the stalls and when she found them empty she squealed as loud as she possibly could.

"Cole and I had sex and it was mind-blowing good and he's amazing", she squealed as I had thought it was strange she was already having sex with him, but I guess every couple goes on their own rate. She was happy, which meant I was happy.

"How was it", I sat down on the ledge in the bathroom lounge and she broke it down all for me and I called it quits right before she explained how he was gonna seduce her.

"He made me dinner and he got me flowers and he's just amazing, I really like him Natalie", she sounded to be head-over-heels for him and it didn't surprise me, Avery was a love-all girl she loved everyone and she opened herself up so much, I was just worried about an amazing person like her, there are always people who take advantage of that and I don't want Avery to know what that feels like.

"How's the planning of the dinner coming along", I asked her as she seemed a bit worried and I could tell she was nervous about how her parents were going to react.

"I just like him a lot as this is the first boyfriend I'll be showing my parents", she told me as she nervously played with her shimmery nails.

"They'll like him, just be patient", I told her as we started heading back hoping the food wasn't over yet. We slipped back in our seats as Nolan grabbed my hand and he gave us our food, he had saved.

"Thank you baby", I whispered as he squeezed my hand tighter as I ate, calmly as everyone was moving through the courses I ate them as quickly as I could hoping no one was judging me, but it was Avery too.

"Eat slower, I don't want you to choke", he said as he looked into my eyes and I felt his dreamy look subside me and I felt lucky to be his.

I ate the last one as he looked up at me amazed as the women came and removed my plate the minute I was done, I whispered a thank you to her as she nodded and went back carrying a plate as the next dish appeared in front of me. Luckily this one everyone stopped for a while, so it gave me time to digest the food that was still making its way down there.

"How many left?", I whispered into his ear as he laughed at my desire to shove my mouth with food.

"2 more", he said as I stared at the piece of turkey with a bourbon sauce in a tiny cup to the side. I ate it as I broke it apart with a knife and fork as hopefully any other proper lady would do.

"We have to talk in a while", he said as the fear brought me to my senses all those dead eyes would even get more intense and possibly show up as death threats.

"I don't know if I want to take away everyone's bachelor, people here have fan clubs of you, they gave me death eyes because I walked in with you, they'll definitely kill me", I explained as I saw him frown and I couldn't help but repeat my words in my head to realize how insensitive I was being.

"I want to be with you, I don't care if people have fan clubs of me, all I want is you", his words warmed my heart as I swooned over him, just like every other preppy girl here.

"You're right, I'm sorry I was being so insensitive, you're all I want and I want to share it with the world", I admitted and he smiled as he smiled brightly at me and I couldn't do anything better than smiling back at him.

My plate was replaced by fruit and champagne, and I couldn't help but drink it and the bubbly was sweet.

"Have you ever dipped your fruit into the champagne?", I asked him as he sipped it like a boring businessman.

"I bet it would taste good", he commented as I began to dip my strawberry in the glass of champagne. I put my hand underneath it and he opened his mouth reluctantly as he bit into it.

"Is it as good as I thought it would be?", he ate it as he drank more of his champagne and I smiled at him as he nodded.

"Even better", he leaned down and kissed me as he shared the champagne taste with me and it tasted amazing. We broke away from each other still connected by our hands as we happened to be the center of attention.

We survived the next course and finally, they were done and then they all came over the Nolan Fan club and I can't say I wasn't amused by how invested they were, I bet they even knew where he lived.

He seemed unbothered by it and I just sat there like the good wife I am. I wasn't bothered at all, okay I was very bothered but I put on my smile and shook it off.

"If you'll excuse me", he said after he gave autographs to each of the girls and they looked as if they were about to faint.

"Would you like to dance", he turned to me as he asked for my hand and I gave it to him, in front of those poor girls.

I stood up and he guided me to the dance floor and as I looked back, they still had their very own jaw plopped open.

He held one of my hands as he placed his hand on my hip and I placed mine on his shoulder. He looked at me with the most dreamy eyes, I've ever seen and at this moment I knew I loved him.

"See they didn't give you death threats", he said as I looked back at them stomping their feet and still staring with their unbelievable looks.

"No, I think they're plotting it right now", one of the girls was stomping her feet and squeezing her fists in a ball. Nolan looked over as one of them tapped the other one as they all waved in sync, it was extremely creepy.

"I'll protect you", he said as he smiled at me and he pulled me closer and he leaned in closer to me.

"Do you realize how beautiful you are, how extremely stunning you are?", he whispered as his hand slipped to my face and he kissed me as we slow danced to the song.

"I have something to tell you", I said looking nervous and he sensed that it was something bad, and I hoped he would say it back.

"I love you", I said and the time froze, it was only him and I in this intense moment and he kissed me deeply.
