“C-Cassidy.” Liningon ako ni Thaeus and observing what my reaction is. Hilaw akong ngumiti sa kanya kahit may masakit sa parte ng puso ko.

“U-Uh, sweetheart. This is Cassidy. Business partner.”He looked nervous. Binitawan na siya nung babaeng nagngangalang Cassidy.

“Oh?may kasama ka pala? Is she your new secretary, Ryker?” I flinched on what she said. Right. I definitely look like a mere secretary. Hindi bagay itabi sa mga bilyonaryong katulad ni….. Thaeus.

“No, Cassidy. Stop talking bullshit and sit the fvck down. Mind your business.” Napaitlag ang babae at hilaw na ngumiti bago umupo pabalik sa upuan niya.

He sat down in his seat placed on the end of the table. Probably the CEO’s.

Tinapik niya ang katabing upuan, motioning me to sit.

I sat down and patiently waited for the meeting to end. Palaging sumusulyap si Cassidy kay Thaeus then looking at me with disgust. What’s wrong with her?

After the meeting, umalis na ang mga businessman pero nanatili parin iyong babae. Hindi ko madaling mainis pero there’s something about her that makes my blood boil. Nakakainis siya.

“Ryker, tomorrow, pupunta kami sa inyo. Mommy said we’ll be having a dinner. Intimate one so…. Bawal bisita.”she looked at me after she said the last word.

I didn’t flinch. Nanatili ako sa likod ni Thaeus. He was holding my right hand.

“Okay. Get out already. Tapos na diba?” masungit niyang sagot sa babae.

“Stop messing around Valdero. Alam mo kung ano ang end game nito.”

“Are you threatening me? I could destroy you in just a phone call. Don’t try me.” He coldly said. It sent shiver down to my spine. He looked so dark.

Namutla ang babae at umirap ito sa akin bago lumabas.

He sighed before facing me. He looked so worried about my reaction.

“I’m sorry about that sweetheart. She’s a a family friend kaya ang lakas ng loob. I’m really sorry.” He held my face and caressed it softly.

One caress and all doubts faded away. Ang rupok ko, crap.

“I-It’s okay. Besides….. I’m not…. Your girlfriend para magdemand, diba?”I smiled even though he looked pissed after what I said.

“Chavelle. Stop saying that.” It was the first time he called my name, and he said it angrily.

“No,it’s true naman. You don’t have to be worried.” I smiled again.

“You….are pissing me off, sweetheart. Big time.” He closed his eyes and inhaled.

“I-I’m sorry but I’m just stating a fact.” I bravely said.

Hindi siya nagsalita, he sat down on the table and pulled me softly. Ikinulong niya ako sa mga bisig niya habang nakayuko siya.

“Sweetheart, I already told you that I want you. I’m just waiting for your answer.” Inangat niya ang kanyang mukha and he looked…. Tired.

“Please…. Be mine.” I wanted to melt in his arms. He was caressing my waist up and down.

Why is he so ruthless and strict to others but so sweet and gentle to me? He is making me fall….. damn hard.

“I-I’ll think about it. L-let’s take it slow. I’ll let you court me.” He chuckled like I said something funny.

“Court you? Sweetheart, love me now and I’ll court you forever.”

“I didn’t know you’re a fan of history.” I smiled at him.

“What?” umakto pa siyang hindi niya alam ang sinasabi ko.

“That’s what Marcos said to his wife.” I laughed at him and he looked embarrassed.

Napatawa nalang ako.

“Stop laughing. I……. I will court you. Whatever you answer is.” He looked at me with so much adoration.

I snake my arms to his nape while he put his arms on my waist. I stared at him.

After our staring session, he decided to take me home.

“I may not drive you tomorrow, sweetheart. May dinner kasi. Is that okay with you?” he asked before I got out of

“Oo naman, I’ll….. just wait for you.”

I smiled at him.

“Can I have a kiss, sweetheart? Hindi kita makikita bukas.” He pouted and I chuckled. He’s such a baby.

I was about to answer him when I heard a click of a seatbelt and the next thing I knew, his lips were on mine. Nibbling my bottom lip softly.

He let go and stared at me. I was in awe of what he did.

“Oops, I slipped.” He smirked.

“Nangliligaw ka pa nyan?”I teased.

He chuckled. Lumabas na ako sa sasakyan and he bid goodbye.

It’s been 2 days since I last saw him. I was busy scrolling through the internet when an article popped up.
