(Btw if a ship isn't accurate...
Whoops ig
I don't really care too much, for shipping states together is a HELL of a lot less controversial and difficult than shipping countries together so like...
Yeah
Besides, I'm mostly basing the ships around the actual characters themselves rather than the irl states
I'm not exactly aware of any two irl states who love each other to that degree anyway so meh
And also, like in Hawaii and Alaska's case, I just figured their powers are cute together so I might base ships on that as well)
The next morning, New York woke up, realizing he forgot to take off his necklace. He smiled and gently kissed it. He changed, and then got ready for whatever this day would bring.
"New York! Have you seen New Jersey?? We've been looking for him everywhere!" Delaware exclaimed.
"I haven't! When'd you last see him?" New York asked.
"Yesterday morning, he needed me to help him with something, so I did... but that was the last time I saw him," Delaware said.
"What'd he need help with?" New York asked.
"Nothing important... maybe have Utah call him?" Delaware said. And so, they got Utah and had him call New Jersey... but nothing happened. They waited for hours, but he didn't show up.
"He's probably just playing an advanced game of hide and seek... he might even be a chair in this room... he'll show himself eventually," New York said.
"And... if he doesn't?"
"...I guess we'll see," New York said.
Meanwhile, Rhode Island was casually walking through the halls, when he casually shrunk down to the size of a mouse. He scurried into a hole in the wall...
And entered his private little room.
Nobody else in the house knew about it. It was an escape for him. He did like his room, but his hole in the wall was less accessible to everyone else in the house. Inside, waiting for him, was a baby mouse he found. When he first found it, It was sitting beside its dead mother, who was caught in a mousetrap. This broke Rhodes heart, so he took the mouse in as a pet and named him 'Roger'. He made sure to keep Roger very clean and disease-free, just in case he did want the other states to meet his friend. He didn't want them alarmed that he might be pestilence-ridden. He always told Roger his kind give the Europeans nightmares. Roger seems content with that fact.

"Roger, I got some good news! I might transfer you to my actual room! I feel bad just keeping you in a small hole in the wall like some kind of pest," Rhode said. Roger just nibbled on a carrot. "I'm glad you're open to it! Who's a good mouse? Who's a good mouse?" Rhode sing-songed, petting Roger. Suddenly, there was a loud thud against the holes door. Yes, Rhode put a door inside of the hole. He didn't want Roger wandering off and getting hurt.
"Rhode? Are you in there?" He heard Michigan said. Rhode facepalmed.
"Dammit! I forgot you could even hear my frequency when I'm tiny!" Rhode exclaimed.
"What are you doing in there?" Michigan asked.
"Just chillin, what are you doin out there?!" Rhode exclaimed.
"Chillin... uh... ok... well, have fun in your hole-,"
"Don't tell anyone! This is my hole and I want it to be my secret getaway! If everyone knows about it they'll know where to find me just to bug me!!!" Rhode exclaimed.
"Your secret is safe with me, trust me... I've heard some sh*t," Michigan said.
Meanwhile, 'Minnesota' was walking through the halls, when suddenly, Wisconsin bumped into her.
"Agh! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Wisconsin exclaimed, scrambling to pick up the books he dropped.
"Oh... uh... no problem, do you... need help?" Minnesota asked. Wisconsin looked at her in surprise.
"O-oh... I'm ok... um...," Wisconsin said, but Minnesota helped anyway. Wisconsin stared at her in surprise.
"...what?" She asked.
"It's just... Heh.... you usually hate me, but you're acting kinda... nice right now... I mean- you are nice! Just... I thought you didn't like me?" Wisconsin asked.
"Oh... uh... meh... you're alright I guess," Minnesota said. Wisconsin smiled cheerfully.

"Thanks... hey, if you don't mind... do you wanna hang out in the garden later?" Wisconsin asked.
"Um... sure," Minnesota said.
"Great! I'll text you later then, when I'm free," Wisconsin said happily. Minnesota smiled awkwardly and nodded. Wisconsin walked away, and once they were sure he was gone, Mississippi shapeshifted back into themselves.
"Whoops....," Mississippi said.
Meanwhile, California and Arizona were having a ✨boys night✨
"Calllliiiii can I tell you something supppperrrr embarrassing," Arizona asked.
"Go ahead, tell it," California said.
"Ughhhhhhhh New Mexico is f*cking hooooooooooooooooot," Arizona exclaimed.
"Yeah? And?" California said.
"And I wanna date him but... I...,"
"You...?"
"I grow spikes if I get too flustered! If we cuddle and I start panicking all gayly I might hurt him!!! I don't want that!!" Arizona exclaimed.
"Well, what if he's into that?" California asked.
"I know he isn't, we've talked about it before... he really does hate pain... it reminds him too much of... y'know... traumatic sh*t... and... my whole power is really only good for causing pain...," Arizona said.
"Hm... That does kinda suck... maybe talk it out with him? Be open?" California said.
"Yeah... I mean, confessing to him is gonna be hard enough... but I know if we... kiss... I'll freak out and spike up again and... I don't want to hurt him...," Arizona said, getting choked up. California patted him on the back, before pulling him into a hug.
"It's ok... I'm sure you'll figure it out... love always finds a way," California said. Arizona smiled.
"Speaking of love... how's things with Texas?" Arizona asked. California sighed.
"He still wants to take things slow... but he's not making any moves, and I don't want to make him uncomfortable, so I haven't been making any moves, so we're kinda at a standstill...," California said.
"Kiss him," Arizona said, before pausing. "Ask permission first,"
"Yeah but... it's gonna be his first ever kiss! I want to make it romantic for him," California said. Arizona nodded.
"Well, his birthday is coming up...,"
(authors note: no it isn't, but just pretend)
"That'd be a nice birthday present," Arizona said. California chuckled.
"I guess we'll see...,"
Anyway have a birb (yeah I'm just gonna post animal pictures at the end of every chapter for no reason)
This is a nice tit

The Infinite Labyrinth
(Story complete - Book 1 "Shanghaied", 2 "Shortcuts", 3 "Secrets" and 4 "Sanctions") It is the 19th century, and war smoulders between England and France. Any hope for a quick end to Napoleon's rampage across Europe ended when the Great Gates opened in 1800. For a fortunate few, the strange world of the Infinite Labyrinth offers opportunities, strange descriptors popping in their minds, informing them of growth, and status beyond that of a mere mortal. The materials and power crystal they bring back foster a new age, both military and civilian. Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. But for Jonas, an apprentice leatherworker, his friend Ira, and so many Londoners, the fabled ones that walk the Labyrinth are distant heroes, seen from afar. They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.

Beneath No Sky: Chronicles of the Atmospheric Sector
After bringing themselves back from the brink of annihilation, humanity's future seemed bleak. However, it's remnants, throwing aside the old order and donning a new mantle of progress aimed to rise above their ancient disputes and go forward as one. Once the Earth reached it's natural limit, and colonies around Terra and Luna had shown promising results, humanity finally decided to make the move to the stars. Believing this to be the start of a new age, they eagerly poured across the solar system and further beyond, greeting what space had to offer with hope and optimism. It was misplaced, however, for humanity's traditional quarrels soon resurfaced and engulfed a now interplanetary empire of many races. As the Earth Empire burned and an intense depression overtook the once optimistic people, some held out hope. They theorized that their problems were born of an inherent sense of home and, in order to rid humanity, now comprising of the Terrans as well as all the other known species of the galaxy, of this burden, decided to move far away from civilized space, into uncharted depths, to start anew. Some 200 years have passed since then, and those hopeful ones have finally found a place to settle on. Firmly planting their flag in paradise, they called this untouched land "Eden" and declared the beginning of a true new age, the age of After Eden.Trouble, however, seemed to still be hounding them, as barely three years after its founding, Eden finds itself at war with a seemingly uncommunicative and uncompromising enemy that far outclasses the odd pirates they were used to facing. A new era of peace, marked by an immediate conflict. Time will tell if Eden, the Grand Experiment, truly is as great as it's supposed to be. ---------------------------------------- This is a sci-fi, character driven, military space drama. Multiple POV protagonists and lots of unnecessary detail. Somewhat psychological. My first work on this website.
