That night, Spain made spaghetti.
"Bleh," Texas said, believing this spaghetti was sub-par.
"I told your fathers to never let Italy cook for you," Spain said.
"He's just better at it-alien food than you," Texas said.
"Italian," Spain corrected.
"Hm?"
"Italian. It's pronounced Italian," Spain said.
"Oh... wait... is that why Italy is so good at it-alien- sorry, Italian food?! IS ITALY ITALIAN?!?!" Texas exclaimed.
"Mhm," Spain said.
"So... wait... is Tito also Italian...?"
"Mhm," Spain said. Texas was silent.
"Oh... Italian food isn't even that good anyway...," Texas said. Spain laughed.
"You love Italian food águilito, don't lie," Spain said. Texas muttered disagreements to himself, however didn't directly deny this fact.
"BahhhhhbahhhhhhhbahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhblaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAB," California exclaimed. Spain picked her up and held her.
"She looks a lot like Mexico," Spain said happily.
"Their skin is different," Texas said.
"So? They both have beautiful eyes, and a dimpled smile that makes their eyes light up. Not to mention their fluffy, curly hair," Spain said. Texas frowned.
"Did I get anything from papá or dad?" Texas asked.
"You have your fathers vivid blue eyes, and Britain says that America acted just like you do when he was your age," Spain said. Texas smiled, however it faded.
"What did I get from papá?" Texas asked.
"You... well, you got this from our side of the family, I suppose... your aquiline nose, your um... well...," Spain said, trying to figure out comparisons.
"... people say I'm handsome like my papá," Texas said. Spain chuckled.
"Mexico sure is... sometimes to his disadvantage," Spain said.
"A lot of ladies shirts seem to fall undone near him," Texas said. Spain shook his head.
"When you are older, please make sure no woman treats you like an object, and no man does the same to your sister... and don't let a woman treat your sister bad or a man treat you bad either," Spain said. Texas nodded.

"Papá does seem annoyed when ladies talk to him sometimes, but he doesn't seem annoyed with all of them. Like Señora Philipa, or aunt maple, or gramma, or the nice lady at the coffee place, or Señora Colombia... but some ladies seem to make him uncomfortable," Texas said.
"Make sure to tell your fathers if someone is making you uncomfortable, mi vida, you don't have to put up with others mistreating you," Spain said. Texas smiled and nodded.
"Abuelo? Can you move closer?" Texas asked.
"Why?" Spain asked.
"Because Puerto Rico said he won't ride his bike out here, but I wanna visit all the time," Texas said.
"Maybe in a few years, mi vida," Spain said.
"But I want you to nooooooowwww," Texas whined. Spain chucked.
"I will soon, mi vida, very soon," Spain said. Texas pouted, but understood there was not much more to be said.
Guys, lemme tell ya, I started envisioning special end chapters and/or a sequel where Texas is all grown up and it makes me kinda big sad™
Like, no... baby you can't grow up... it's not allowed 😭
And this book might end soon if I can't really think of anything else to do with it
I don't want this being another NAG
For as much as I loved NAG, it went on too long, faaaar past its expiration date

Blood Quest - A LitRPG
Leon's family has been diagnosed with a new type of incurable blood disease. It's an absolute death sentence and when it turns aggressive, you only have a few more years of painful life left to live. His mother has just begun the last years of the disease when a person supposedly comes back from death with supernatural abilities. He talks about a choice you get after death--get an extra chance to come back to life, or die. Even with Leon's diminishing life span, he won't consider the option of going there, until he meets another survivor who had the same goal as him and succeeded. Leon has a choice to make—die now for a chance to save his mother, or die in a few years, where the disease rapidly melts his muscles from his own body. He enters a game-like world, a sort of limbo, where his ultimate goal is to climb the tower of Katastroph before his mother's time runs out. There are a few problems with this though. The tower is almost impossible to beat, if you die you won't revive, and only three people in over twenty years have actually made it back. Leon has two years to climb the tower, with the help of the few people willing to try, while Ai, the tutorial guide, makes things harder for them. ***** The story starts pretty dark but goes onto a lighter tone. Then (more) dark again. Disclaimer: This story is an experimental project and I hope to get any and all feedback you can give me. Warning: First draft. Chapters tend to be between 3400-4100 words long (about 8-11 A4-pages). Mentioning it since I've seen it in other fictions :P Sometimes they're shorter, sometimes they're longer. ******************************** CHAPTER RELEASES UPDATE: As the first "book" in the series is done, I'm going to release coming chapters somewhat sporadically, and when Writathon ends, I'll probably go back to publishing one chapter per weekend. We'll just have to wait and see! I hope you enjoy the story! I really appreciate all comments and feedback, so if you have anything to say, feel free to voice it :) ************ [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Not as it seems
Stranded inside the world he'd been writing about for years, Arwen is left at the mercy of the characters and setting he'd so lovingly created. Now trapped and powerless save for his knowledge of the secrets the world holds, he has to find his way back home. Hopefully to make it there in one piece. But things aren't going to be easy, as the further he plunges into his world, the more he will realize things aren't quite what he thought them to be. This story is a case study on a realistic approach to isekai as well as what it means to "know" someone / something, and to "KNOW" them. There will be hard themes and uncomfortable truths, and just like with real life, it will show things as they are unfiltered.
