CHAPTER 34 Lily's POV

I pinched my cheeks and slapped my forehead. I need to stay awake. It took me a few days to have the courage to wear the lingerie and I don't think I can muster up enough confidence to wear this again in the future. It's now or never. It's already 11 PM, I should have asked first for Salvy's schedule before planning all this. I stood up from the bed and checked myself in the mirror. I am wearing a matching red lace and covered myself with a red silk robe. I spent hours scrubbing and cleaning myself with the exfoliating cream Andrea gave me. I feel like my skin is as smooth as a baby's buttcheeks. I lay down on the bed again and covered myself with the duvet, Where is Salvy? My courage is running out.

I heard a rustling sound, someone leaving and closing the door. Was that Salvy? I sat up and checked the time, It's already 3AM. I notice a note on the table and it says:

"I don't want to wake you up. I will be gone for a few days, I'll be back as soon as possible vita mia."

I feel disappointed and relieved at the same time. Relieved that I do not have to go through with my plan because to be honest I don't even know if I can seduce him. Disappointed that I already prepared myself mentally and physically but all my efforts were wasted tonight. I badly want to throw a tantrum and be mad but he doesn't know that I will surprise him tonight and I also failed to give any hint that I want to take our relationship to a new level. I stood up and changed into more comfortable clothes. I guess I just tire myself in preparing for nothing.

Salvy's POV

"Don I think it will be better if we treat your wound first before visiting Lily." Anton suggested.

I glared at him and he bowed his head. "I want to be left alone in my office with Lorenzo and bring 2 doctors to attend to our wounds." I commanded. I left and went to our room. All the pain I'm feeling in my body and all my worries disappear after seeing Lily peacefully sleeping on the bed. I lowered my head and kissed her on the forehead. I groaned when I felt my wounds sting and throb, Sht I am going to need a few days to recover and fix all this mess. I sighed and wrote a note to Lily. I went to the office and saw Lorenzo standing on the corner of the office. He has wounds all over his body from protecting me and acting as my shield, he can't even stand straight.

"Sit down or I'll drag you by the neck on the couch." I stated and sat on my chair. He slowly walked to the couch, his head hanging low.

I clenched my fist and heavily sighed. I need to calm down. Nothing is going according to my plan and I am fcking done with everything. The plan was so simple, We now have the list of all of their warehouses and the house where the brothers are currently staying. It was supposed to be a simple entrapment but the tables were turned and we were the one ambushed by the brothers because Lorenzo decided on telling Andrei our plan. I had suspected Andrei was one of the spies or associated to one of the rats because most of the information the brothers know were similar to what Andrei currently knows about the organization.

"Sa-Salvy. I-I" Lorenzo tried to say something but I interrupted.

"Did I ask you to speak?! Don't fcking call me by my name!" I shouted and stood up from the chair. I throw everything I can get my hands on. "You of all the people should know how dangerous the operation was today but you fcking decided to ruin everything. To what? To prove a point? That Andrei is not the rat?" I threw the chair near him and he flinched, still not meeting my eyes. "I specifically instructed you to not say anything to Andrei? But you revealed our plan to him! Look what happened?! We almost got fcking killed and you put Lily in danger because of it. I told you I have my reasons but you did not listen to me." I pulled out my gun and pointed it at him. "I have all the fcking right to kill you. You betrayed me." I pushed the gun to his head with enough pressure to leave a bruise. I aimed it above his head and pulled the trigger. The sound of the gunshot startled him and he looked at me with so much shame and regret in his eyes. "But I can't because I still fcking trust and believe in you even when you can't do the same!" I punched him in the face and handed him the gun.

"Mi assumo la piena responsabilità. I'll kill Andrei. I'm sorry. I-I didn't know. I'm sorry." he tightly held the gun and kneel in front of me, tears streaming down his face. (I take full responsibility)

"No. Let him, He might be useful to us." I walked away from him and sat back on my chair.

"Salvy. This will never happen aga-" He stood up and followed me.

"Call me Don. You lost the right to call me by my name when you betrayed me." I interrupted.

"You know I will always put you first before anything else Salvy, I would rather die than to betray you! We had been together through thick and thin. I will always choose you above anyone else." he reasoned with sincerity and pleading.

I looked at him in the eye and laughed, He dumbfoundedly stared back at me and began laughing as well. We laughed loudly enduring how painful our wounds and broken bones are. I know it was a stupid mistake and I can't forget what we had been through together before getting our positions. I only trust four people in my life and he was one of them.

"Why do we sound like two lovers fighting over cheating?" I asked in between my laugh.

"Salv- I mean Don. This will be my first and last mistake to you." he pledged and poured me a drink.

"Call me Salvy. Stop being dramatic and call the doctor. We have some dealings to do tomorrow, We need to be on our best condition as soon as possible to fix your mess" I raised one of my eyebrow and drank the liquid on the glass.

He nodded and smiled before pulling out his phone to call the doctor.
