The moonlight that shined through the curtains glowed purple while the bedside lamp added a golden essence to the room. Waiting for him felt like eternity.
You didn't hear him downstairs, softly humming a tune from his new film with Doris Day. He didn't want to wake you.
Your heart leaped with every approaching footstep. His eyes widening at the sight of his beloved in the shared bed. Looking as beautiful as ever.
"By the light... of the silvery moon," he softly sang. He changed in front of you into his pajamas. Your eyes felt heavy with every word.
"I want to spoon, to my honey, I'll croon loves tune." He crawled into bed, his eyes soft and sweet. He laid his tired and heavy head on his pillow.
"Honey moon, keep a shinin' in June." He softly stroked your arms. You laid down on your own side of the bed, watching as he continued to sing the catchy tune.
"Your silvery beams will bring love's dreams we'll be cuddlin' soon." You rolled over into his arms, looking at the curtain covered windows. His arms moving to a spooning position. He tucked his head into the crook of your neck and held you secure. His breath tickling your soft skin.
"How was your day?"
"Exhausting, only because I was tired from missing you." He kissed your cheek.
"You're such a sap."
"Am not." He snarked, pretending to be offended. You thought he was adorable.
"Am too. But that's okay, I was exhausted from missing you too."
"You're the sap." You looked into his beautiful eyes, "but I find myself falling harder with each passing day."
You engulfed into a passionate kiss, your arms wrapping around his neck, pulling him close. His hands pressing into your waist.
"I love you,"
"I love you a million times more." He kissed your temple.

Memories of the Bean Times
To those who have survived: I write this now, for I fear my death is imminent. Barnabas Schmidt wasn't serious when he said he knew what was going on in Paris. Thomas Sauer wasn't expecting to put his life on the line studying a mysterious disease. Julia Krause wasn't trying to join a cult. And the Holy Roman Empire wasn't prepared to fight the Beans. In the year 1587, the small farming village of Dijon in the Kingdom of France is attacked by seemingly immortal monsters made out of baked beans. As Schmidt fights against the Beans on the front lines, the Beans steadily approach the Empire's borders. As Sauer searches for the Beans' weaknesses, the Church of the Beanmeister paves the way for the arrival of the God. As Krause helps the Church, she begins to question her loyalty to the Beanmeister. Updates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Chapters are available earlier on the Bean Times website: https://beantimes.github.io

He mocked us while we cried begging for death. No one is safe from him, not even women or children, the ice cold blue eyes show mercy to none. There is no way that he is a man, the true tyrant of Europe not even our Lord can match with him, he’s Natria the Tyrant.’ Zinhestine was later found dead in his cell.
