Those possessive nights... Those nights in garden full of spring breeze, soothing jazz music and paper lanterns, full of beating hearts and shaking hands, of whispers and breaths, and clicking heels...

Those selfish nights that wanted you all for itself, wanted you to become one with its gleaming surface of the sea, the approiching tide and raising moon that was still visible through the branches.

Very gently and carefully, the moving couples would slide through the newly build parquet, woring themselves over trivial things such as stepping on each other toes, over the tightness in a grip and steadiness on feet.

A girl in a brilliant deep blue coloured dress, snuggled into her partner and her mouth let go a rich laughter of happiness. She became an immortal soul among other immortal souls, dancing over its bodies, getting tangled between its roots, growing beauty in late hours.

Life stopped to make a note of a golden statue, and the white tuxedos smelling of citron, of the plastic stars that would reflect lights onto the dancing pairs, and of the certainty that the memories would go wild at the glimpse of corsages.

[this is just something from the book I've been dying to write but never do]
