《Crossroads (Lesbian Stories)(gxg)》Chapter 40: Same Book But Never The Same Page

I was pretty upset about the fight Kayla and I had. We never really fought at this level before, but honestly it was the worse fight I ever been in. I love Kayla with all I am and it honestly hurt me so much that we fought at that level and how to future was unclear for us to that extent.
I obviously saw myself in the future with Kayla and because of this fight, that future might be completely different now. I never really thought about the fact that college could literally split us apart.
It almost broke me when Kayla and I walked away from each other that night. We didn't break it off, which was good. However we didn't end the night on the good note, and we both went to sleep upset which was terrible since I kept imagining Kayla laying in her bed alone and upset.
I understood Kayla's worries and why she wanted us to try to go to the same college. I just don't think that I would be willing to give up a full ride scholarships for her. If she really loved me, she would want that for me, right?
I was determined to fix everything and make everything right today. I wanted to hear what she has to say about this then she could hear what I have to say about it and then we could have a compromise on it. Hopefully, we will end up better than ever.
By the time I got up, it was already 10 so I decided to borrow the car and swing by her place to fix it right away. That way, we could spend the rest of the day together doing whatever.
First, I headed off the Chipotle and ordered for both of us.
I decided to get Chipotle since it was what we ate during our first "real" date. Hopefully it would remind her of the time when we first kissed and went on a hike together.
Then I drove to the florist and got her red roses. She got me a rose when we went on our first "fancy" date.
Next to the florist was a candy shop. I decided to go in and buy some movie theater candy to remind her of the time we had sex at the movies. Sure it was a taboo, but it was fun and exciting for both of us.
God I hope she would love these gifts since they have so much meaning embedded into each and every one of them. I also wanted to create some happy vibes between us before we discussed such a heavy topic.
I made the extra step of writing the memory on a post it and sticking it to each gift.
I couldn't wait to see the smile on her face when she sees that I got all this stuff for her. I love spoiling Kayla.
I drove up to Kayla's house and I was surprised to see another car parked in her driveway next to hers. Weird. I decided to just park in the street.

I put everything into a paper bag and held the roses with my other hand. I walked up to the door and knocked.
It was kind of our thing, we never really rang the doorbell, we knocked instead. I guess it's our way of telling each other that we were around.
Surprisingly, Steven, Kayla's older brother answered the door.
"Oh hey!" I said, slightly shocked to see him.
"Hey. You're Kayla's friend right?" He asked.
"Yeah I am."
"Alright. Kayla is up in her room. I'm guessing you already know your way?" He said and stepped aside, signaling me to come in.
"Yes I do. Thank you! Nice seeing you." I said politely before walking toward Kayla's room.
Kayla's door was closed, but I heard noises so I assumed she was awake and decided to walk right in.
Big mistake.
Actually no, it wasn't a mistake cause it would have been inevitable.
There Kayla was, naked, lying in bed with Jesse. Who was also naked.
The second I opened the door, both eyes landed on me. It looked like they were laughing before I came into the room.
I wasn't sure what I felt.
Anger? Betrayal? Sadness?
All these emotions were coming at me all at once. I was angry that Kayla betrayed my trust again, but I was also furious at myself for giving her a second chance.
Once a cheater, always a cheater.
Fuck this bitch.
Kayla snapped out of our stare down and got out of bed with the sheets covering her naked body. Jesse on the other hand, was just smiling as if he won the lottery.
"Christy I can explain." She stammered as she tried to make her way toward me.
"No fuck you. Don't fucking come closer. Go suck his dick some more." I started walking out of the room.
Kayla caught up and grabbed my arm. There were tears in her eyes.
Oh how fucking pathetic.
Kayla had tears in her eyes.
Kayla.
The one who fucking cheated on me and did exactly what she promised to never do again.
Does she want me to go out and buy her tissues too?
"What the fuck do you want? What do you even have to say to me? 'Oh I'm sorry I cheated on you again with the same person, give me another chance' or 'Oh this isn't have it looks like?' Tell me Kayla. Which one is it?" I angrily spit out.
Kayla looked down but then the bouquet of roses caught her eye.
That made me realize that I was still holding them.
"Oh yeah these were for you." I said as I tossed them to her. "But they still can be for you and your lover boy. Hope you two last."
"Christy I'm so-"
"You're what? You're so sorry? You know what? Fuck you. Your words literally mean nothing to me. You don't even have to say a single word because you have already done enough." I started walking out the door but then stopped.

I turned around and tossed the bag of stuff I bought for her. "For you and lover boy. Hope he was worth it."
I walked to my car without looking back. I was extremely angry now and I wasn't crying, but I knew I would break down soon after.
I quickly drove back home and I opened the door a little too hard, causing it to slam against the wall.
Steph quickly walked out and Maddie was right behind her to check out the noise.
"What's got you so riled up?" Steph asked with her voice full of concern.
I threw the car keys on the table and sat on the couch.
"Kayla cheated on me again."
"WHAT?!" They said at the same time.
"With that fucking bastard Jesse again."
"Christy, are you alright?" Steph said as she sat down next to me.
Maddie sat on the other side and placed her hand on my back.
I burst into tears at that exact moment.
Steph held me closer while whispering 'it's okay'.
I couldn't believe it. I thought Kayla changed. She said she changed. She was so drawn to me and it seemed like she wasn't interested in anyone else. I thought that she loved me the same way I loved her. But she didn't. It was all a fucking lie.
I don't understand why people won't just end relationships instead of cheating on them. It would hurt a whole lot fucking less.
"I can't believe the nerve of that bitch." Maddie spat out bitterly. "You know what? Bitch has this coming." She immediately started walking toward the door. She grabbed the keys and left the house.
We wear the car start outside and her driving away.
"Wait where is she going?" I said as I wiped my face.
"I have no idea. Don't worry about her."
We sat in silence for a moment until I realized what Maddie was about to do.
"Oh my god. Maddie knows where Kayla lives." I said as I stood up.
"Come on. We have to stop Maddie from beating up your ex." Steph said as she walked to the door and grabbed her other keys. "Thank God Katelyn carpooled to work today."
I gave Steph directions to her house and right when we got there, we saw Maddie knocking on the door and Kayla opening the door.
The next thing we saw was Maddie tackling Kayla.
"Aw shit let's go." Steph said as we got out of the car and ran toward the house.
"HOW DARE YOU? SHE FUCKING TRUSTED YOU, YOU BITCH." Maddie screamed while she was on top of her.
"Maddie get off her!" Steph pulled Maddie off of Kayla and we both had to restrain Maddie.
"The bitch fucking deserves it." Maddie spat back toward Kayla.
Kayla got up and I saw that her lip was bleeding.
"Maddie don't be like this." Steph warned her. Then she spoke in a lower tone. "Think of what mom and dad would say."
"They would be proud of me since I tried to beat who purposely hurt Christy." Maddie said proudly, not breaking the death stare she had at Kayla.
I looked at Kayla and damn she was pretty roughed up. I felt sorry for her since Maddie roughed her up a bit, but she's lucky we got her before she did any real damage. I've seen Maddie get into fights at the ice rink and let's say Maddie is one kick ass girl.
"No she's right. I hurt Christy. I'm sorry that I betrayed you and your family's trust." Kayla said while looking directly at me.
Then, Jesse came down. "What's going on?"
Maddie looked at him and scoffed. "This is the sleezebag you cheated on Christy for? Damn Kayla thought you had better taste in people."
"The fuck you say?!" Jesse said as he stepped closer to her.
"Jesse stop it!" Kayla said as she held him back.
"Why is your lip bleeding?! Did this bitch do this to do?!"
"You would've thought your boyfriend would come and rescue you or step in when he heard shouting but nah. Shows a lot doesn't it." Maddie said innocently.
"Who are you?" Jesse said, acting all tough.
"Fuck y'all honestly. Pathetic ass couple. Good thing Christy left your ass Kayla. You don't deserve HALF of what Christy has done for you. That boy isn't even fucking close to Christy. Hope he was worth it. You'll live with regret for your whole life." Maddie then left the house and walked to the car and drove off.
Now it was just Kayla, Jesse, Steph, and I standing there.
Steph looked like she was about to say something to Kayla but then closed her mouth, shook her head, and left.
I stared at Kayla and Jesse both in the eye for a moment and left the house also.
The drive back home was completely silent.
When we got there, Maddie was in the kitchen preparing food.
"You didn't have to do that. You shouldn't had." I said as I hopped on the counter top and sat there.
"Are you kidding me? She deserved it. Hell she deserved more." Maddie argued.
"Hopefully she won't press charges on us. But Christy is right. Maybe you stepped a bit out of line."
"Kayla won't press charges."
"You're my little sister, Christy. It's my job to protect you. This is also letting everyone know what happens if someone fucks with my little sister. I don't give a crap if we're 85 and she shows up again. Hell I'll beat her with my cane."
I smiled and hopped off the counter. I pulled Maddie into a hug. "What would I do without you?"
