Stiles took careful steps forward, hearing the leaves crunching underneath his feet. He waved his flashlight around, trying to see if he could spot what he was looking for.
His best friend, Scott, peered at him with glowing eyes. He himself didn't need a flashlight, as he now had built in night vision, courtesy of Peter Hale.
"I️ take it that you learned nothing from the first time we did this," Scott remarked.
Stiles continued moving forward.
"Yeah, well, you came out here with me, so I️ take it that you didn't either," Stiles replied.
Scott shook his head.
"You know I️ wouldn't let you go out here alone to get attacked by whatever's on the loose," Scott said.
Stiles nodded.
"You mean the vampires," he said.
Scott rolled his eyes. The perpetrator of the recent attacks had been a source of debate between the two friends.
"Stiles, we've been over this. There's no such thing as vampires," Scott reiterated.
Stiles turned to face Scott, holding the flashlight in his face to get a better view of him, causing
Scott to squint and turn away.
"C'mon, seriously? Dead bodies found with bite marks on their necks completely drained of blood has to equal vampires," Stiles said.
Scott rolled his eyes again.
"Yeah, okay, whatever man. Let's just keep going," Scott replied.
With that, Stiles maneuvered his flashlight to see in front of him once again.
Scott soon held an arm out in front of Stiles, stopping him in his tracks.
"Scott, what is it?" Stiles asked, only to be hushed by his friend. This only prompted him to ask again with growing impatience.
"I️...I️ think I️ saw something," Scott finally responded.
Stiles gestured for him to elaborate, only to get no reply.

"Okay, Scott, what exactly do you think you saw?" Stiles asked.
Scott shook his head, swallowing.
"I don't know. It was moving too fast. But I️ don't think we're alone out here," Scott said.
Everything that happened next was too fast even for Scott's werewolf instincts to react to. Stiles suddenly dropped his flashlight and was gone without a trace.
Frantically, Scott whipped around in search of his friend.
"Stiles? Stiles!" Scott called out in a panicked frenzy.
He then decided to go by scent to search for his friend. He scanned the woods, trying to gauge the direction that Stiles went to.
Eventually, he caught the scent of Stiles, along with that of fresh blood, causing him to grow even more alarmed.
When he finally found Stiles, he was on the ground, groaning in pain.
"Stiles! Stiles, are you okay?" Scott asked.
Stiles hissed in pain, absentmindedly touching a hand to the side of his neck before nodding.
"Yeah. Yeah, I️ think so," Stiles replied.
Scott bent down slightly, extending an arm and holding out his hand to the other.
Stiles took his hand before being sprung to his feet by the werewolf.
Gently, Scott guided Stiles' other hand away from his neck. He examined it, seeing blood trickling from his neck that now stained his palm.
"What happened?" Scott asked.
Stiles opened his mouth to speak, before stopping, silent. He blinked a few times before slowly shaking his head in disbelief.
"I️...I don't know," Stiles replied, brows furrowing in confusion.
Clearly something had attacked him, but it was almost as if one minute he was standing next to
Scott and the next he was bleeding out on the ground with nothing in between.
"You didn't see what attacked you?" Scott asked.
Again, Stiles shook his head.
"No," he said.
Scott sighed before nodding.
"Alright, well let's get you home before whatever it is comes back."

Disclaimer: I'm not continuing this story. Check out Azarinth Healer, it's a more current story where I worked on a lot of things I found wrong with this one. Main character is somewhat similar as well so if you like Eleonora, you'll probably like Ilea. I still invested a ton of time writing this so check it out if you feel like it. There's gonna be 20 Chapters 39k words total. Hey everyone. This is a story I've started writing like a year ago and thought why not post it now. This story is about fighting and magic in a pretty standard fantasy world. The story follows Eleonora through her daily life in Duneswatch and on her way to become an adventurer. No secrets here, it's pretty generic. Should be decently paced so just give it a shot if you want to. I'm not gonna sell it to you in this quick summary. The range of writing on RR is so wide we both know you just have to give it a chapter...or a paragraph depending on how unique the grammar is. Please do criticize harshly. I'm definitely no writer but everybody can improve with pointers in the right direction. Don't expect regular updates.

Whatever End
The fight is over, the enemy destroyed, the world is saved… technically. “Stand Fast!” The general called over the din of battle. “We will hold this line! The future depends on us! To whatever end!” Richard believed him, and that’s why he had bound his soul to the Arcstone, in hopes of containing the rift forever. If only he had learned more before making that final sacrafice. When the battle is done, and the world is ‘saved’ what happens to those left behind? And.. what should he do, now that it’s over? Cover art by gej302

A Battle of Eyes Against the Gods

Our unlucky (Lucky?) protagonist doesn't even get to find out as he finds himself in a world of cultivators with a "Golden Ring" of a system inside his head. Under normal circumstances, finding yourself in another world would be the fantasy of an otaku but when it's the world of Against the Gods, Jin can't help but remember the lead character and frown. "Against the Gods? That means Yun Che should be here... If I run into that psycho who knows what might happen. On the other hand, he is a prick so it would be a fun idea to mess with him and keep those girls safe. Might even see if Qingyue is all the book made her out to be~ Not like he deserves her." Follow Jin as he tears up the plot, trolls the would be MC, and grows in power with the help of his snarky system. (I don't own the art, found it online)

Midthalion Saga
+++Working on new chapters. Share what I've posted with your friends and family! Be sure to build strong bonds with those who are important to you. We only have each other in this world for so long!+++ Can Roderick XXIII gather together and train a party of adventurers to clear out Madeon Caves and bring peace to the wildmarches of Midthalion? Sent from his home monastery in the west to the wildmarches of Midthalion, Roderick the Holy Avenger is devoted to living out his oath to bring the Holy Light to the dark corners of the world. He enlists the help of an old friend, Ulrich Vogelbrandt the dwarf druid, to train and prepare a fighting force capable of defending the west from the evil they both see gathering and growing in the east. Eoroth is an ode to Tolkienesque epic fantasy, Robert E Howard and H.P. Lovecraft's pulp fiction, and Gygaxian Dungeons & Dragons. I like to write about serious topics because I think it's fun. I hope it makes for a fun read. Place: Eoroth, a vast, flat world with many continents set in oceans that reach out and mingle with the Celestial Sea. Our story takes place on the continent of Thalion in the middle, unsettled region called Midthalion. Peoples: Races in Eoroth aren't different species; the species of man is just incredibly diverse, consisting of many known races (and perhaps some unknown). There are no humans in Thalion. Thalion's races include variations of elves, dwarves, halflings (billowits), pierros (clownish men), bergeracs (long-nosed and swarthy men of honour), orcs, trolls, goblins, and hobgobs. The Church: There's one dominant religion in Westhalion. The faith of the elves is an analogue to Roman Catholicism while the dwarves practice an Eastern Orthodox analogue. (Forgive me for not having figured out names yet.) The practitioners worship a triune god (the All-Father, Son-of-All, and Holy Light). There are many powers in heaven, all created by God. These include the Twelve High Thrones, individual, created beings who take on the role of guiding mankind in different aspects, drawing them closer and closer to God. (That should be the essentials. I could write pages on the theology. Comment where something's unclear in the story.) Natural World: There are plants and animals in Eoroth, but the world is also inhabited by spirits called aeons. Aeons are transformative beings; in the wild, they'll change based on whatever is happening nearby. Pollute a pond? Expect to see toxic toad-men running around. Leave a bunch of dead bodies strewn across a battlefield? Expect the place to become haunted with ghouls and ghasts. Druids are important for making sure that the aeons are pacified; that their needs are met so that they don't become rampaging monsters. Where the wilderness becomes overgrown, so too do the aeons. Aeons and People: Long ago, men learned how to trap aeons in stone tablets and use them for war. Now, anyone can capture an aeon into a special staff made by a druid. Men train, raise, and bond with these aeons. Druids often build entire ranches devoted to raising healthy aeons as allies and companions. Aeons are divided into twelve known families, and the church sees these as corresponding with the Twelve Thrones in Heaven. Direction: My goal is to get the story to one million words by June next year. I have tons of content in mind for the world. I want to release novels set in different ages of the world depicting different historical events. I hope to expand the setting into a tabletop role-playing game as well as a series of old-school JRPGs. But, it all begins with writing some stories and publishing my novels.
