《Night Changes: Teen Wolf Vampire AU》When You Can't Sleep At Night

Stiles grabbed his stuff from his locker, scrambling in a hurry. He had overslept and was already late to class. He shut his locker and was on his way when he accidentally collided with someone else, causing him to drop everything.
The girl apologized before bending down at the same time he did, helping him gather his things. She handed him what she's gathered from the ground and Stiles thanked her before continuing on his way.
When he reached the door of his classroom, it suddenly hit him. He remembered the girl with her straight blond hair and light hazel eyes.
Both literally and figuratively, he dropped everything, using his vampire speed to run after her.
When he went out the front entrance, she was standing with her back to him.
"It's you," Stiles said.
Slowly she turned around. When he saw her, he noticed the mischievous smirk on her face, like this was all a game to her.
"It's me," she echoed.
Stiles clenched his jaw, hands balling into fists at his sides. Surprisingly, he didn't feel any fear at all upon seeing his sire. Just pure and unadulterated rage.
"What do you want with me?" he gritted. "You played those minds games and then nothing. I️ thought you were done with me."
She shook her head and clicked her tongue, slowly moving toward Stiles. She reached to touch his face, causing him to flinch and move away.
"You're my fledgling, Mieczyslaw. I'll never be done with you," she said.
He didn't want to be called by his birth name. Not by her.
"Why now? Why here?" he asked.
"Now because you're almost ready. And here is the same place we last met," she answered.
He looked at her puzzled. They'd never met at Beacon Hills High. Then, he nodded, realizing what she meant by "here."
"You're inside my head, again. This isn't real," he said, not a question but a statement.

His sire did a so-so motion with her hand.
"I️ am inside your head, but what's real isn't so definitive," she mused.
"Enough mind games," he asserted.
She was pushing him to his breaking point. He was done with the smoke and mirrors: he wanted answers.
She shook her head.
"They're not games: they're tests. I'm preparing you," she explained.
"Preparing me for what?" he asked, but he didn't get an answer.
Suddenly, he was alone. The wind blew harshly and the sky turned an unnerving shade of gray.
Stiles cupped his hands on the side of his mouth.
"Preparing me for what?" he shouted to no avail.
The wind grew fiercer and the sky grew darker until he was no longer in front of the school. It was a particularly dark night and he was in the woods again.
He could the symbol from before: two lines uneven in length joint together by a diagonal line with a horizontal strike through the two lines carved on a tree in front of him.
He then heard Scott's voice calling to him. He just said his name over and over in the same distressed tone. Naturally, Stiles rushed toward the sound, but he didn't find Scott. Instead, he saw his sire again, standing over someone.
"Drink," she said, biting into her own wrist and pushing it to the person's lips.
When Stiles looked harder, he could see the other person: it was him. A part of him forgot that none of this was real, and in that moment he just needed to stop her.
Before he could even do anything, he was tackled to the ground forcefully. When he looked up, he saw a snarling snow white wolf. Somehow, the wolf was stronger than Stiles, and he found himself unable to move and forced to watch his own transformation over again from the sidelines. All he could do was scream.

He heard Scott's voice again, calling to him, but when he responded it seemed as if Scott couldn't hear him. He went to the other Stiles, the one that was on the ground bleeding out. But as soon as Scott helped Stiles' other self off the ground, he bit sharply into the alpha's neck, drinking his blood in a frenzy.
Stiles tried again to get up to no avail. He screamed for his best friend as his neck snapped and he fell to the ground.
The other Stiles then rushed forward before tossing the wolf aside effortlessly. Stiles, however, found that he still couldn't move.
The other him then stood over him, smirking devilishly with fangs bared, blood still staining his mouth. Roughly, he plunged his hand into Stiles' chest cavity, ripping his heart out.
Stiles shot upright in the bed with a loud gasp, right hand immediately coming to touch his chest. He felt that feeling of dread again, but didn't feel like he was in immediate danger or that he'd lose control.
"Stiles, are you okay?" Theo asked.
Stiles turned to look at Theo. He wasn't beside him in the bed. He was just coming back, still standing up and fully dressed.
Hesitantly, Stiles nodded in response.
"Yeah, yeah, I️ think so," he said slowly.
Theo walked over closed to Stiles.
"What happened? Another nightmare?" he asked.
Stiles nodded before swinging his legs around to side on the side of the bed.
"Yeah, I️ thought my sire was done with me but I️ guess not. I️ think she's trying to send me a message," he explained.
At those words, Theo raised his eyebrows slightly. His expression changed a bit, but not in a way that Stiles felt he could quite read.
"What kind of message?" the chimera asked, coming to take a seat next to his boyfriend.
Stiles shrugged.
"I don't know," he said.
His mind went to the obvious: that she was coming, but he didn't want to entertain that possibility. He was adjusting just fine without her. He had no desire to see her ever again.
"Did she tell you anything? Did you see anything?" Theo asked.
Stiles shook his head.
"No, not really. She was just being cryptic again. I️ saw the same symbol from before but...hey, what are you doing?" Stiles asked as Theo got up from the bed and began rummaging through his book bag.
He then returned to the bed with a pen and a pad of paper.
"Can you show me what it looked like?" he asked, handing them to Stiles.
Stiles eyed Theo curiously.
"Why?" Stiles asked, confused by Theo's questions.
Theo sat down next to Stiles.
"Maybe it'll tell us something," Theo replied with a shrug.
Stiles sighed. He couldn't help but feel like Theo was somehow hiding something from him, but he still felt like his head was spinning and couldn't even begin to unpack all of that.
So, instead of addressing it, he filed away the feeling for the time being and instead just complied with his boyfriend's odd request.
"Okay..." Stiles said, taking the pen and paper and drawing the symbol.
It didn't take long, but Theo watched almost too intently as he did so.
"You recognize it?" Stiles asked.
Theo shook his head before taking the paper from Stiles and taking a photo of it with his cellphone. He then did something else on it and appeared to be typing.
Stiles then peered over to look.
"Who are you texting?" he asked.
Theo quickly shut off his phone screen.
"No one," he said nonchalantly.
"Theo..." Stiles began.
Gently, Theo placed his hand on the vampire's shoulder.
"Stiles, everything's fine. Just go back to sleep."
