《The Betrayed Pilot (Titanfall x RWBY)》Prologue

"LASER CORE ACTIVE" I watched from the sidelines with Blisk as the two titans clashed, it was a fight between Slone and that new pilot that Blisk calls "Hero". I couldn't help but watch the two fight in awe, titan battles were always a sight to see, especially against truly equal pilots.
"You see that Rookie? Maybe you should learn something from this fight. Not just be a spectator, after all your getting paid the big bucks with this job, so you should take this as much of a learning experience." Even though i have been a pilot for 3 years now i still listen to everything Blisk has to tell me. Ironic when you consider that i was a pilot instructor before i left the IMC.
"Yes sir, I'll try to learn everything i can from this battle." He gave me a simple nod and just said 'good girl'. I turn back towards the fight to see that the so called 'hero' just executed Slone, i couldn't help but feel my heart drop, while i haven't been with them for long, it hurt me that this one single pilot was able to take so many of us down. I was getting ready to fight the pilot in my Monarch, but Blisk used his titans arm to hold me off.
"Don't do it Rookie, we already lost too much, and that Pilot is not in our contract. I want you and Lilith alive for now." He was lowered his titans arm and Lilith, my titan responded to him.
"YES BLISK, I'LL KEEP SARAH SAFE" He just simply grunted at my titan and i couldn't help but feel the rage boil inside me, i wanted to make that pilot pay, but i knew that this is what mercenary life is like. In a moment you or your friends could die in a moment, and to simply put it that enemy pilot was simply better than us for now.
I watched as the enemy pilot and the vanguard class titan opened the launcher to the fold weapon, and it seemed like it released a concussive blast that knocked out most of the titans functions.
"Should we kill him?" Blisk looked at me like i just made fun of his mother.
"What did i say? He's, not, in, our, contract. You'll learn that sometimes, the only thing that hold you back in life is a contract, so know what your doing before you sign it." I was confused by what he meant, but he soon closed his titan hatch and walked over to the pilot, i couldn't hear what he was saying to the pilot from where i was. But i was shocked when i saw that he put his Apex Predator card on his titan. He only did that to people he deems worthy enough to join him.

I still remember the day that Blisk gave me the exact same card when he found me training IMC pilots. That pilot should consider it an honor that Blisk let him join us. I just mentally sigh and lean back in my chair.
"Well Lilith, looks like that enemy pilot will live for now, let's just hope he join us, so we can steal his titans soul." I couldn't help but get a big smile at the idea.
"IN THE SIMULATION OF COURSE?" I couldn't help but laugh at her.
"Of course, that is if he did join, i couldn't just execute him and his titan, Blisk would have our heads. But in the simulations it was all fair game. because i know how much you love those titan batteries" I could of sworn i heard Lilith give a small chuckle, but as soon as she did, she closed the hatch because Blisk was heading back towards us.
"You ready Rookie?"
"Yah, let's get out of here, i have a bad feeling about this place since your leaving that pilot alive next to the fold weapon."
We simply started to walk towards our drop ship that could hold onto our titans. Although midway through we heard something on our comms that scared both of us.
"THE FOLD WEAPON! IT'S GOING CRITICAL!" I looked briefly at Blisk in concern but he only said one thing.
"MOVE" we both started to sprint towards our drop ship, and i could see it in the distance. We quickly covered the ground and Blisk got on it first, but as soon as he got to the on ramp up to it, he turned towards me and raised his weapon at me.
"Rookie, I'm not gonna lie, it was a good find with you, but this jobs payment is a little bit too high to split it with a Rookie like yourself." I couldn't help but stare through my titan in utter confusion.
"But i'll cut you a bit of a deal, you still have some proving to do because i've barely seen you fight during this mission. I know you are quick on your feat and adaptable, so if you somehow find a way off this planet, you'll have your place back as my pupil. As for now, i have my eyes currently on that enemy pilot. Good luck Sarah, Lilith, i hope you come back in one piece."
I couldn't help but feel my confusion turn to pure and utter anger, "Blisk, I'll fucking kill you." I watched as the ramp up to the ship closed and i heard him laugh, i already knew what he was gonna say so i started to move.

"If you kill me, your better. If I kill you I'm better." I watched as the ship moved into orbit, but i just moved to another drop ship that i saw on our way here.
"PILOT, OUR ODDS OF SURVIVAL IF WE TRY TO REACH THAT SHIP AND LEAVE THE ATMOSPHERE IS 14.2%, I SUGGEST A DIFFERENT PLAN IS IN ORDER" The odds were really low so i tried to think of another way to survive.
"Lilith, do you think we can get the ship into the air, before the fold weapon goes critical?" She took a second to respond and i think i saw some number appear on the screen.
"I HAVE DONE THE MATH, WE HAVE A 98% TO DO THAT? BUT OUR SURVIVAL RATE DROPS DOWN TO 1.3%, WHAT DO YOU HAVE PLANNED PILOT?"
"No time to explain, just get me there quickly." She said nothing as she took auto control and moved faster then i did through everything, their was chaos everywhere as everyone was scrambling for a way to live through this mess. But we just moved through everything, i wasn't going to just die here, i didn't just throw away my old life just so my new boss could leave me to die on a planet that was about to implode on itself.
We soon turned a corner and i saw the ship from earlier but it was about to take off, we quickly ran towards it and right before the hatch could go up we were able to dive onto the ship.
"Lilith are you okay?" It took her a second to respond because the dive knocked out her ocular system. It soon rebooted and she stood up.
"SYSTEMS BACK ONLINE, WHAT'S NEXT PILOT?" I leaned forward in my chair and i took on manual control of Lilith.
"Just trust me on this." I moved over towards a specific section of the ship, away from navigation.
"I THINK I SEE WHAT YOU PLAN IS, OUR SURVIVAL RATE IS 86.2% IF MY THEORY IS CORRECT, CALCULATING TIME FOR RELEASE." I'm glad that Lilith was able to pick up what my plan was and i continued to move over towards the drop pods of the ship, but as soon as i entered, the ship started to violently shake, and it felt like we were loosing altitude, but i didn't care, I pushed forward despite the inertia on my body.
Eventually we were able to crawl into a titan's drop pod, used for orbital drops, and came with a reinforced plating, with a shield to protect the pilot and the titan from the drop, the perfect escape tool to help us survive the blast.
"Lilith, you said you did the math, are you sure the numbers are correct?" I saw another wave of numbers fly by my screen, and she quickly replied to me.
"TRUST ME, CHANCES OF SURVIVAL IF WE DROP AT THE RIGHT TIME IS AT A STEADY 80%, SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE SARAH" I locked myself into my seat and i put on all the straps just in case. I could feel my heartbeat in my ears as more adrenaline pumped through my veins.
"PREPARE FOR TITANFALL, DROPPING IN...3...2...1..." I felt that we soon dropped through the ship and i could see that the ocular system turned on to see that the entire planet was in a cacophony of chaos, and just as soon as i saw that i could see the fold weapon in the distance.
"INITIATING SHIELD IN 3...2...1... SHIELD ACTIVE." I could see a blue tint took over the ocular system as i could see in the background the fold weapon explode. It felt like time froze completely as it slowly crashed into us, as far as i knew the shields took the brunt of the impact, and was still standing.
Soon all systems shut down, and i waited for the impact of the ground, i thought that it would be quick, because we weren't that far from the ground. But soon systems restarted temporarily to see that i was falling down into a lush forest, i could only utter one word before impact.
"SHIT" As soon as we landed it was rough to say the least, and i could feel my body go limp from the lack of blood. I soon blacked out.
rebooting systems.... systems online...
Protocol 1...Link To Pilot.
protocol 2...Uphold The Mission.
Protocol 3...Protect The Pilot.
I used my ocular system to see that we were in a forest, but as far i knew we were in uncharted territory, there was nothing on my sensors, and i couldn't get a proper signal, something was off, but i couldn't tell what it was.
I then did a check on Sarah, and i found that she was unconscious, she would wake up soon, so all i had to do was wait, but just to be sure, i injected her with O- blood. I then stayed in the drop pod, it didn't break off like it should of during the drop, so for now i stayed inside of it, watching over Sarah

So What If I'm Trash? Who Needs Cultivation?!
Qing Shan Long. They say he isn't human. An escaped experiment from some government facility, a reincarnation of a saint, a freakish superhuman. Whatever he was one thing was clear. Be it Music, Martial Arts, Science, whatever he does he excels. He was a whimsical man. A great man. A man who craving for knowledge and excitement knows no bounds, whose collection of books and personal library would even make Alexander the Great green with envy. He donated to all manners of charities and funded many projects for helping the poor and disabled. A self made man who single handedly founded one of the largest corporations in the world, Wen Qu Technologies, whose influences reach from vast fields of expertise. From objects of war such as the newest aircrafts, droids, and body armor; to life saving medicine and vaccines; to even the mundane such as video games and the fast food industry. A legendary example of determination and hard work. He was in his car being driven to a business meeting to disclose a deal that would help ensure the country could have access to clean energy and help reduce the pollution that has been plaguing his homeland for the past millenia when he was assassinated and woke up in a strange new world. How will Qing Shan deal with his new environment where the strong suppresses the weak? From the top of the world he suddenly finds himself free falling to rock bottom. Unable to cultivate, a weak body, and all but disowned by his family. (For those who read comics and watch cartoons, imagine him as being Tony Stark, Richard Reeds, Jimmy Neutron, etc level of 'Genius'. ) My own spin on some familar tropes. Another reincarnation into another world story. The MC will take over the body of someone with a trash body that can't cultivate and will be hated and neglected by his family. Pretty typical so far right? Except there won't be some amazing miracle to heal our MC, there isn't some magical grandpa to teach him some OP thing which only his trash body can use, there isn't a hidden op bloodline, and he is not from a super amazing assassin clan or genius doctor. He isn't the chosen one, he's just a guy trying his best to make something with a crap situation. First attempt at a wuxia type story! I like playing with common tropes, maybe adding a twist, to playing it straight as a classic. I have absolutely no idea where this is going to take me but please do give your input and I'll do my best so that everyone has a say in where our journey will go. I'll admit the only knowledge I have of chinese history and ancient society is from reading light novels translated to english and some old dramas, so if I make some social passe just take it as because this is another world, not exactly an AU where magic and stuff actually exist. I'm also not actually Chinese and will basically using google to help me with names and other such, if I make a mistake please let me know! (Even if you don't like the story or couldn't bare to get past chapter 1 please leave a comment so I can find out where to improve, thank you!)

Caught in the crossfire, two teams of fighter pilots of opposing sides come together, with a hope to discover what it means to truly be human, and to end the war for good. This is their story. A story of war, of discovery, and of rebellion. This story (this arc, at least) is now complete. No promises for a sequel yet.
