《The Betrayed Pilot (Titanfall x RWBY)》Chapter 15

i was currently in the elevator on the way to Ozpin's office, he sent me a message to see him before i left for my mission. He said it was to discuss more on the mission, i didn't question it and i went to go see him immediately.
After awhile of waiting inside of that cursed elevator with the boring ass music i walked into Ozpin's office, which was the same as before.
"Ah, Ms. Sarah it's good to see that you got here quickly." I simply nod to him and i sit down in front of him waiting for him to say something. But he just took a sip of his coffee.
"Well, why did you even call me up here anyways?" He just looked at me passively as he took another sip of his coffee. After he was done he looked at me,
"We are not 100% yet on how accurate team RWBY's information is, but nonetheless i want you to be extremely careful during your mission, even if there is no White Fang in the area, there is still thousands of Grimm in there." I couldn't help but roll my eyes at him,
"If that is all you have to say, then there was no reason to call me all the way up here." His passive look finally broke and he looked directly at me for what looked like the first time since i got up here.
"Truth be told, i don't think you should be the one to go for this mission, we sent scouts ahead to report if the information was true, but they went dark." I looked at him slightly taken aback, but i pushed past the tone shift.
"But Ozpin you said it yourself, there's thousands of Grimm so it is possible that the Grimm got in the way." He shook his head and readjusted his glasses.
"I don't think it's as simple as that, and if this is a big operation, I'm worried what would happen if you get captured. The fight with the White Fang is already hard enough as it is, but if they had your technology." He didn't say anything as i saw a shiver go through his body. The idea scared me just as much.
"Nonetheless, I called you here not just as a warning, but also to take whatever precautions that you need, just travel light enough that if you are captured they won't get everything from you." I give him a small smile.
"Don't worry, i didn't plan on taking anything with me other then a few weapons, my cloak, my grapple, and Lilith. It may not be enough to stop the entire operation, but it should be enough that i will be able to hold my own unless they have an army." As soon as i said this Ozpin had a bitter look cross his face.
"I trust both you and Lilith's abilities, but still, i will be taking my own precautions as well. While you are out there i will post a clear job for the students to do, so there will be students as well as a trained huntsman that will arrive later to help you." I leaned back, thinking about having back up on this mission.

"That will be a good idea, you can even make it two teams if you need to, they will already be tired dealing with the Grimm, so having more should help me if i do require them." Ozpin looked like he relaxed a bit as he went take another sip from his coffee mug, until he realized it was empty, but then his focus was back onto me.
"That is excellent idea, i will change the job description, I'm not sure which teams will pick that up, but you can trust that you will have backup, eventually. But because it's gonna take a few days i would like it if you set up an outpost for a sort of base of operations. Am i understood?"
"Crystal clear." I said to him, this seemed to please Ozpin because he then began to smile more.
"Well than, Ms. Sarah i think we are done here, you can go to the bullhead waiting for you. Good luck." I give him a simple wave as i walked back into the elevator.
-------------------------
I was walking up to the bullhead pilot and he just looked bored as he was chewing gum or something,
"So are you who I'm supposed to drop off at Mt. Glen?" The pilots personality was already going to be annoying i could tell, but i decide to ignore him for now.
"Yah, although i have something you have to hook up to your Bullhead." He looked at me slightly confused as if on cue a truck began to carry a make shift drop pop that i made to transport Lilith.
"What are you transporting in there?" I give him a cheeky smile.
"Sorry, but that's classified." He seemed a bit annoyed but he spat out his gum in the nearest trash can as he worked on loading up the drop pod for Lilith.
After a bit of waiting the Bullhead was ready as i got on, i did a final inventory check to make sure i had everything: rations, pilot ability's, guns, ammo, and scroll. I doubled check and i was relieved that i was in the bullhead and didn't have to worry about anything for awhile.
But as soon as i thought that i could relax during the flight i was immediately bombarded by the memory of the dance and how Velvet kissed me, a shiver shot through my body when i thought of the memory. Just when i thought i could think about things peacefully that memory had to surface again.
Still, even though i wasn't expecting the memory, i can't say that it was a bad experience. I wonder what she would think if i tried to.... no brain stop thinking like that.
I shake my head getting the thought of my head, sometimes being bi really didn't help me but i guess it is to be expected with how my life was growing up. I lean back into the chair and i start thinking about the situation about Velvet, rationally this time.

Even though she is my student, i'm not that much older than her so that's not too weird. But it would be hard to hide a relationship like that from everyone around me and Velvet. And if someone found out that a female teacher was dating a female student, i didn't want to know what would happen if that was to get out and become a rumor.
I couldn't help but let out a sigh as i continue to think about the whole situation, i was so lost in thought that i didn't notice the pilot tap on my shoulder and i was soon jolted back into reality.
"Sorry to break you out of your dreams, but we are here, drop your gear off and i am out of here." I nod to him as i put on my helmet and got ready to jumped out of the bullhead. I used my jump kit so that i could slow down my descent and land on top of Lilith's drop pod. I then untied the hook so that it fell to the ground.
"Prepare for titanfall." I smile to myself, and i look up to see that the pilot was heading towards the direction that we came from. After i was positive he was gone i knocked on the pod three times, i then heard a loud clang as Lilith kicked the pod down.
"Pilot, it's good to see you," I felt my chest warm up as i ran back inside of Lilith.
"It's good to be back Lilith, let's get to work." I didn't waste any time as i took controls over and started to go through the streets. At first i did it slowly and carefully but soon all i notice in the streets are just Grimm that i easily cut down with the XO-16 chain gun.
I continued to search through half of the city finding absolutely nothing of value. Eventually i find a small run down warehouse and i walk in the find that it remained abandoned like everything else.
I decided that setting up camp would most likely be my best option considering it was starting to get dark after searching for so long. I got out of Lilith and i searched the rest of the warehouse on foot. I found nothing bust cobwebs and dust.
I leave the room i was in and i see that Lilith was just standing in the middle of the warehouse doing calculations by the looks of it. I ignore her for now and i just went to secure the door ways, making sure that they were all locked, and that if i got attacked in the middle of the night i would have an escape plan.
After i was done with everything the sun had set awhile ago, so i decided that it would be good to get some sleep. I walk up to Lilith and i see that she is still doing calculations.
"Lilith, you good? You don't usually don't do calculations for so long." It takes a second before Lilith's singular eye opens and looks down at me.
"Sorry Sarah, but i was calculating possible locations that the White Fang could be located at. With what little information we had, it took me longer to calculate all the possible locations." I was a bit confused as to why she would spend that much time on this, but i ignore it as i walked inside of Lilith.
"So what did you find you then?" I waited a second as i situated myself inside so that i could sleep soon.
"Inconclusive results." I was a bit surprised that she spent that much time and got nothing, but all things considered, she really had no real information or even leads that could help us.
"Don't worry about it Lilith, we have time to find them before our back up arrives."
"I am sorry Sarah." I couldn't help but smile a bit, but i shut off the lights as i got ready to sleep in my seat.
"Good night Lilith"
"Good night Sarah." I lowered my chair and i began to doze off.
"Boss i think you should take a look at this." A White Fang grunt walked up to me with a tablet in his hands and i looked at it, it showed one of the cameras we placed around the area. I was surprised when i saw a giant robot walking around near our base of operations.
"Boss i don't think it's Atlas, none of their current models match this one, what should we do?" I take a puff from my cigar as i think about the best course of action.
"I've ran into that machine before, it even managed to break my bran new paladin, and ruin my suit" I shook my head annoyed, but then i look at the grunt with a bit of a mischievous grin on my face.
"So boss, what are we going to do then?" I then smiled at the grunt as i guided him towards the hanger.
"So the plan is if that so called 'paladin' ever comes here, we fight it with our superior numbers." I then let go of the grunt as i did a dramatic bow to show all of the paladins we had. There was no way a singular machine would be able to fight all of them. I sinister grin grew on my face as i thought of getting back at that 'paladin'
