I wake up and see Elena walk through the door with a huge smile on her face.

"You and Damon kissed?" I asked, just knowing.

"How did you—" Elena gets interrupted by me.

"I know everything. You should take a shower, cause before school we made the appointment to get my permit." I say.

"Ok, happy birthday Ash, left my present on the kitchen table." Elena smiles walking up the stairs. I go into the kitchen and open the gift, which was a couple of rings and flare leggings, which was such a perfect simple gift.

I came home from the DMV, which I passed the test and got my permit, which means I can finally learn how to drive legally.

Elena went to school while I stayed home.

"Happy birthday little Sommers!" Damon shouts, which scared me.

"I didn't know you were here." I say and Damon laughs.

"Got you something." Damon hands me a little box, I open it and it's a necklace.

"Damon you didn't have to—"

"Of course I did. Now we know which brother you like better." Damon jokes which makes me laugh. "And since I'm your favorite and Elena told me you have your permit. 1. I'm going to compel the guy to give you a license and 2. I'm going to teach you how to drive."

"Damon, that's illegal." I say, already knowing he doesn't care.

Damon was teaching me how to drive after compelling the guy to make me a license and let's just say I'm not good at this.

"Ashley you're going to kill us. Make a turn." Damon says, not specifying left or right.

"Be a little more specific!" I shout.

"Left." Damon says and I turn, almost crashing into the curb. "Oh god. This is when I regret the idea of letting you drive." Damon says.

"I'm not that bad." I say driving through a red light.

"Park on the side of the road. I'm driving." Damon says and I laugh stopping the car and getting into the passenger seat.

Damon drops me off at my house and I walk into a surprise.

"What are you guys doing here?!" I ask Elena, Caroline, Bonnie, and Matt.

"We're celebrating your sweet 16!" Caroline shouts. "Dress into sweatpants and a sweatshirt, we are going into the backyard and making s'mores and eating pizza, watching movies." Caroline says while Elena puts a toy crown on my head.

"Thank you guys. This means a lot to me." I smile, excited for the rest of the day.

I get dress and we hang out inside for a while, talking and watched (your favorite movie). It was dark out, so we went outside and started the fire to make s'mores.

"I heard Damon took you driving today." Elena says and I chuckle.

"Let's just say I could've gotten a ticket more than once." I say, which makes everyone laugh.

"Damon compelled you a license, didn't he?" Matt asks and I nod.

They all give you small presents, but very meaningful to Ash. They were all drinking and Caroline dials Tyler's number.

"Care, who did you text?" I ask.

"I might have texted Tyler." Caroline says and I nod.

"Caroline." Elena says and I could tell Bonnie got mad.

"Give her a break. You can't control what everyone does all the time." Bonnie straight up says, which makes everyone feel awkward. "I'm sorry, I know it's Ash's birthday, but I feel it's really wrong that you compelled Jeremy to leave town."

"I'm doing it to protect him, Bonnie. I want to give him a chance at a half-way normal life." Elena explains.

"He should be able to choose how he wants to live it. You're taking his choices away." Bonnie shouts. "I'm sorry, I'm just gonna go sleep it off or something. Happy birthday." Bonnie tells me and I smile as she leaves.

It has been a while, Caroline disappeared with Tyler and Matt and Elena have been drunk talking for a while, and I was closing my eyes listening to the tree leaves rustling with the wind blowing.

"It's been a while since Caroline left off with Tyler." I mention and Matt and Elena agree.

"We should look for her. The woods are connected to the backyard. They could be anywhere." Elena says and we 3 get up to search for Caroline.

"Caroline?" Matt shouts.

"Care!" I shout and we hear no answer.

"Great. We've been abandoned. Ok, we're going into search party. I don't trust that she won't get back together with him." Elena says.

"Come on, Care! It's cold." I shout which makes Elena laugh.

"Matt's being haunted by the Fell ghosts." Elena jokes. But in the next second Matt falls to the floor, so does Elena, and in the next second all I see is Stefan putting his hand over my mouth, and zooming off with me.

Now I'm in Stefan's car, which is going way faster than the speeding limit.

"Stefan, what's happening?" I ask, which I get no answer. My phone starts to ring, and I go to answer it, but stefan grabs it and answers it.

"Hello, Damon." Stefan says, I know Damon is confused, I just can't hear him talking. "She's a little busy right now."

"Making my next move. Let me ask you something, what's Klaus gonna do if there's no Huntress."

"What?" I panicked. Stefan hangs up the phone and throws it out the window.

"What the hell!" I shout. "Let me out of this car, now!" I shout which stefan doesn't answer.

"What are you up to?" I ask. "Cause I don't think taking me against my will and driving million miles per hour is for nothing." I say, which finally gets Stefan to talk to me.

"I took Klaus' family to make him suffer. I'm not going to let him make him suffer more." Stefan tells me.

"So, what are you going to do, huh? Are you going to lock me in a cell somewhere or keep me hostage?"

"Well, I have choices. I can turn you into a vampire, or I can drive off the Wickery bridge." Stefan says. He knows I don't want to become a vampire or die again.

"Stefan, stop the car! Please, stop the car!" I shout in life or death matter. He doesn't listen, he dials a number and puts it on speaker phone.

"Stefan, how nice to hear your voice." Klaus says through the phone.

"Tell your hybrids to get out of town, Klaus." Stefan shouts.

"Well, that's not going to happen until I get my coffins back." Klaus responds

"Ok. Well, then I'm going to drive your Huntress off Wickery Bridge." Stefan says.

"I don't believe you Stefan. You won't kill her." Klaus says, and Stefan bites his wrist and puts it up to my mouth, forcing me to drink his blood.

I try and scream and start to choke on the blood. "What are you doing?" I ask.

"What's going on?" Klaus asks, getting concerned about Ashley.

"I just fed her my blood. No more sweet, caring, innocent Huntress if she's a vampire." Stefan says.

"You won't do it." Klaus says, calling someone else's bluff, again.

"Really?" Stefan asks. "Try me because your coffins are next to go." Stefan was driving faster as I saw the bridge.

"Stefan. Stefan!" I shout trying to get him to slow down but he pushes me out of the way, which makes me hit my head on the the window really hard.

"Fine. I'll send them away. You win." Klaus immediately says, but Stefan just speeds up.

"Stefan, stop!" I shout.

"Stop the car, Stefan." Klaus shouts from the other line and Stefan stops the car. I immediately get out, tears were uncontrollably falling down my face.

"Get back in the car."

"How could you?!" I scream. "My aunt and uncle died going over this bridge, me and Elena almost died. You knew that. You were the one who saved us."

"Look, he had to believe that I would do it, all right? Your fear sold it." Stefan says.

"Well, what if he hadn't?" I ask.

"He did."

"Well, what if he hadn't?" I ask again.

"He did, Ashley! He backed down!" Stefan shouts. "He has a weakness! If I know his weakness, I can destroy him! And it worked. His weakness is you!"

"Huh?" I ask.

"He cares for you. He sees something different in you and I know you can see it too. You just haven't let yourself admit that." Stefan says getting back in the car and driving off.

It's been a while, I had no signal so I was hoping someone I know would happen to drive over the bridge. A car pulls up and stops.

It was Klaus.

After what Stefan said, I didn't want to see Klaus cause I have a feeling Stefan's right.

"Had to do something first but I came as soon as possible." Klaus says getting out of the car. I stand up and lose my balance.

"What's wrong?" Klaus asks.

"Before, Stefan pushes me and my head hit the window really hard, I'm just dizzy." I say. "You have to stop calling peoples bluffs."

"This time I didn't let the accusation happen. You didn't die." Klaus says.

"Would it be the worst thing, my life is a living hell." I sigh.

"Are you okay?" Klaus asks.

"I told you I'm just dizzy." I say.

"That's not what I meant, and you know that." Klaus was talking about my mental state.

"Just take me home, please." I say getting into the car. As he was driving you home you fell asleep from watching the stars, which Klaus noticed.

You arrive home and you were still sleeping.

"Ashley." Klaus whispers trying not to startle you, but since it's Klaus, you still jump.

"I'm not going to hurt you, especially not tonight" Klaus says unlocking the door.

"Thank you for driving me home." I say and Klaus smiles.

"Not a problem, love. And happy birthday." Klaus smirks and I smile back and I got butterflies in my stomach.

I walk in and see Elena impatiently waiting.

"You're not hurt, thank god." Elena quickly hugs me.
