《Youth || Klaus Mikaelson》38

It's been a couple days. I've been resting, elevating my ankle, which is basically healed. Elena has been more on the depressive side, in which I'm helping her with.
I was hanging with Elena and Damon just walks into her room.
"Oh. Excuse me. What are you doing?" Elena asks.
"Where's Stefan?" Damon asks.
"Ok, good morning to you, too."
"He's not answering his phone and he's not here, which, you know, big deal. We've only got a killer vampire hunter on the loose." Damon tells us
"I haven't talked to him yet today." Elena tells Damon.
"Hmm. Give me your phone. Maybe he's dodging me." Damon puts his hand out waiting for Elena to hand over her phone.
"Why would he be dodging you?" Elena asks.
"Oh, I don't know, maybe the hot, sweaty dance party business?" Damon says, I would've been surprised, but Elena already told me. "I figured you spilled your guilty little guts to him the minute I left last night."
Elena stays silent. She didn't tell Stefan what happened between her and Damon.
"Ohh, you didn't tell him, did you?" Damon asks, already knowing the answer.
"No, Damon. I didn't tell him that I got high on blood like some crack head and then dirty danced with you—"
"Okay. Elena, Damon, you guys can finish this conversation when I'm not around. Try calling Stefan from Elena's phone."
Damon dials his number but it goes straight to voicemail. Then Damon takes my phone and dials it, and it also goes straight to voicemail.
"So either he's dodging the three of us..."
"Or something's wrong." Elena finishes Damon's sentence.
—
"So we each take a different entrance, hit him at the same time." Damon suggests after finding out the hunter took Jeremy.
"Stefan!" Elena shouts sting Stefan walking in. "Where the hell have you been?" Elena asks.
"Coming up with a plan?" Stefan hugs Elena, which I thought was cute, but I hate how she still won't be honest in who she wants cause honestly, I have no idea at this point where this love triangle is heading.
"We have a plan. The plan is I'm going to rip Connor's heart out and I am going to feed it to him." Damon explains.

"That's not a plan. We need to be careful. Connor has Jeremy and who knows how many other hostages." Stefan says.
"Hence the open heart surgery." Damon mentions.
"Damon's right." Elena quickly says. "Connor's strong, but he's not going to be able to take all of us."
"We still have to be careful though. Connor has many hunter weapons and he's not an average hunter, he could be setting up a trap for us." I say agreeing with Stefan.
"I called in the hybrids to help, too." Tyler tells us as Caroline walks in.
"My mom put squad cars blocking the streets. They're saying it's a faulty gas main. We're good to go." Caroline says.
"Good. Great. No cop, no witnesses, no reason to wait around." Damon says.
"All right, hold on, you're not all going." Stefan says.
"He shot me like 9 times. If we're killing him, I want in." Tyler says and Elena agrees.
"Listen, nobody's going until I figure out what we're walking into." Stefan shouts, which makes Damon furrow his eyebrows.
"Until you figure it out?" Damon asks. "Is that where you've been all morning, our buying bossy pants?"
"Like Ash said, this guys known for setting traps, right? We'd be pretty dumb to walk into one, especially if he has werewolf venom." Stefan explains.
"Does he?" Elena asks and I could tell Stefan didn't know what to say, I mean he is helping Klaus and he can't tell anyone besides me.
"Well, he could still have Tyler's, he paralyzed him and took a lot." I mention and Tyler nods.
"Fine. Fine. You want to fake some time to do recon, you get one hour. But we're going to need some extra help, so where the hell's the wicked witch of the west?" Damon asks.
"She can't do magic." Caroline mentions.
"Really? Well, call her, tell her Jeremy's life is in danger. Maybe that'll bring her out of retirement." Damon walks out of the room.
—
"I saved your ass in there." I tell Stefan as we go walk by Mystic Grill to see what we're getting into.
"Yeah, thanks by the way." Stefan says and i smile.
"Call Klaus, tell him the bad news." Stefan says and i glare at him. I don't want to talk to him, I'm still mad for him using Jeremy and threatening him.

"Miss me already?" Klaus says and i scoff.
"Damon and them want to kill the hunter." I say, ignoring his first statement.
"Then stop them." Klaus points out.
"You know it's not that easy, right? He has Jeremy." I tell him.
"Not my problem." Klaus says, mad at Ashley? Exactly what did she do? Nothing.
"Wow, you're such a jackass." I hang up the phone, pissed. "We're on our own." I tell Stefan as he raises his eyebrows. "don't ask."
"There's three in there, Jeremy, Matt, and Someone else." Stefan tells me then calls Damon and Elena.
"You aren't coming in." Stefan says.
"Yes, I am." I respond.
"No, you're not. I'm taking you back up to where Damon and Elena are cause you aren't getting hurt, again." Stefan says and i roll my eyes.
We go up there and Stefan and Damon were arguing. Stefan vervained Damon which made Elena pissed and Stefan left.
"Elena, go. Stefan won't let me go either and when Damon wakes up I'll be here. Help him save Jer and the others." I say and Elena nods and runs off
—
I was sitting, waiting for Damon to get up but I see an explosion from the grill. I quickly call Elena but it went to voicemail.
"Lena, Just saw the explosion, please tell me what's happening and if everyone's okay, I'm worried." I say hoping she at least heard it.
Then Damon groans, finally waking up.
"Damon, you were out for a while." I mention.
"Oh, where's Stefan?" Damon asks. "And where's Elena?"
"They are both at the grill." I respond.
"I'm going to kill him." Damon sits up but screams in pain, he didn't have his ring on.
"He took your ring?" I ask and he nods.
"Add it up little Sommers, he's either made a deal with Klaus or he's compelled." Damon shouts.
"I have to go."
"No, Ash, this guy is dangerous!"
"There was an explosion in there and everyone I care about is in there. I can't sit back and do nothing! " i shout and hear a thump, knowing something else is happening.
"Don't even try to protect me, Don't try to stop me Elena is in there and there's bombs going off, which can kill vampires."
"Fine, let's go." Damon says. He goes to find Stefan and I go to find Elena and Jeremy.
"Elena! Jer! Are you guys ok?" I shout running towards them.
"Yeah, I healed him and I'm okay but Stefan ran off with Connor." Elena says then hears something and runs off.
"Elena!" I shout.
"Where did she go?" Jeremy asks.
"To kill Connor." I say, having a huntress feeling.
"Ashley." I hear Madeline say and she appears. Haven't seen her seen I activated another curse.
"If she kills the hunter, she will be tortured." Madeline says.
"What do you mean?" I ask and Jeremy furrows his eyebrow.
"There's a curse when the brotherhood die. Go to the boiler room and through the tunnel, now!" Madeline shouts and i start to run, ignoring hearing my cousin shout my name.
I keep running and see Elena snap Connor's neck.
"No!" I scream. "What did you do?" I ask and I saw the guilt building up on Elena's face. She didn't even know what to say. "I'll help you, let's Go."
—
Stefan and Damon walk in on Elena burying him.
"Elena..." Stefan says.
"I need to bury him. I killed him, I should— I should bury him." Elena says, as tears come down her face.
"Why is there blood on you?" Damon asks me.
"I helped her carry him out." I say, looking down, afraid of whys going to happen to Elena.
Stefan walk closer to Elena which got Elena mad.
"Don't! I heard you talking to him. Making some secret deal with Klaus?" Elena asks. "You said you were going to protect Jeremy! Keep me from... this. If anything, Ash was the only one keeping me from this, but she was too late. You said that I could trust you, Stefan."
"Elena, it's complicated—"
"No, it's not complicated, Damon!" Elena shouts. "You want to know why? Because— because he's dead now. I killed— I killed someone." Elena gaps and starts to sob.
I go and hug Elena, which makes her sob more. Elena's having a hard time and I feel really bad she has to go through this.

Wildling
Blurb: Silas--a scavenger living off the ruins of humanity--has spent his entire life fighting tooth and nail to provide for himself and his crew. But when a scavenging run goes awry and he's snatched up by an android patrol, he finds himself thrown into a cage and priced to sell as a pet. And when a suitor comes calling, he fears the worst: that he'll be turned into a Domestic, a human lapdog brainwashed into total obedience. Instead, he discovers an equally disturbing truth: that the creatures who stole his world have created a videogame the likes of which Earth has never seen; a sprawling, game-like theme park where humans are the Avatars and androids are the players who control them. And to make matters worse, his android guide is as hopeless as they come, having gotten all of her previous Avatars killed in record time. So if Silas wants to regain his freedom, he'll not only have to fight his way through a world that was specifically designed to murder him in brutal fashion--he'll also have to convince his android guide that he should be the one calling the shots. FAQS: Q: Who are you, handsome stranger? A: I'm Kyle Kirrin, the author of Shadeslinger, book 1 of The Ripple System, published by Portal Books, and I write crunchy LitRPG. Q: What is Wildling? And is it complete? A: Wildling is a crunchy LitRPG mash up of Fantasy and Science Fiction. And yup, Wildling is already complete at 64 chapters, or about 120,000 thousand words. You're looking at something like a third draft here--it's fairly polished, but it hasn't been picked over by a copy editor yet nor has my developmental editor seen it. Q: Upload schedule? A: 5 initial chapters today (2/15/2021) and one chapter a day for the next month. After that I'll probably slow down to 2 or 3 chapters a week until the story is complete. Q: How crunchy is it? A: It's pretty crunchy. I'd put it on the same tier as Ascend/The Land/RSSG, but it might be a bit crunchier than those three? Q: Is this the first book in a series or a web novel or what? And what are your plans for it? A: It's currently a standalone with series potential. Full disclosure: this story may head the way of my publisher eventually, but will be available on RR for quite a while no matter what. Likely several months after it's complete with plenty of warning before/if it's taken down. Q: What kind of build does the MC create? A: Sword and board! Q: Crafting? A: Plenty! Crafting isn't as center stage as it is in The Way of the Shaman, but it's close. Q: Base building? A: Two fully separate, distinct bases, both of which play a major role in the story. Q: VRMMO? Portal? Reincarnation or what? A: This one's a bit tricky. Basically an advanced race has created a game-like world that closely resembles a theme park. Think Westworld but with copious amounts of loot. And the MC has to fight his way through that to earn his freedom. Q: Permadeath? A: Nope! The MC gets 3 lives to play through the entirety of the game world, and death is extremely punishing, but not fatal. Q: Harem? Or romance? A: No and no. Q: Cursing? Blood? A: Quite a bit of cursing, yeah. There's blood, too, but it's not a gory book by any means. Q: How can I support? A: Instead of a Patreon/donations etc, I'd ask that you consider giving my debut LitRPG Shadeslinger a chance. It's free on Kindle Unlimited and the audio is already out narrated by Travis Baldree. It's an epic fantasy VRMMO where the main character gets 3 days of exclusive access to a new game plus a snarky, talking axe to guide him through it in exchange for agreeing to become the target of a serverwide manhunt once the Head Start period ends. Q: How's it similar to Wildling? And how's it different? A. The crunch level is very similar, but Shadeslinger is a much lighter, epic fantasy take on the genre. It's also VRMMO, but without any real world components aside from the first chapter. The MC is very different--he comes off as a bit of a jerk early on and can take a bit to warm up to, especially before his backstory is revealed--but he's also got a talking axe that constantly puts him in his place. Shadeslinger's a much more humorous story in general, and it's a great deal more polished as well. Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy Wildling!

Grinning Enigma
Freddy is a very bad boy. Meets some people that know what he did. He tries to escape punishment, makes it [Redacted]. Freddy might be a mass-murdering troll, but he isn’t a bad person, right? Right? Disclaimer: This is not an instruction manual. If you want to be a horrible human being, go figure it out yourself. Autopsy: Writing this story gave me some degree of insight into how much I've managed to fuck up my own personality by suppressing basic needs. Now I hate myself even more. It started as a story where the MC was supposed to be a blend of the NZ-land shooter and other cancerous personalities. That way I wouldn't feel bad about torturing him. Instead I ended up witnessing all the worst aspects of my own personality, or lack thereof. I'm a horrid person, I can't even bring myself to do what's the only right thing at this point.
