I hear the click of a pen nonstop clicking against her thumb as she sits next to me, working diligently on her homework. I glance over nervously, trying to get the courage to ask her if she could stop but am distracted by my sweaty palms. I had never even talked to her before yet I've always dreamt of it.
I mean, everyone has.
I finally work up the courage to look her way and speak up in a small voice.
"H-hello, pardon me but-" A readjust my glasses nervously out of habit while speaking but her bright eyes lock with mine and I feel as if I can't get another word out as she stares back at me.
"Oh... you're talking to me?" She pauses from doing her work and turns to me, giving me her full attention.
Nervously scratching my neck, I can feel my heart racing as I try to speak.
"I was just going t-to ask if... you could stop clicking your p-pen? I'm sorry I-" Her eyes widen as a gasp leaves her lips and I feel my heart drop, assuming that I've made her mad and have just embarrassed myself further.
What have you done! This is why you don't talk to people, you only embarrass yourself!
I could practically shrink away at this very moment, my face heating up as my anxious hands grip the end of my shirt.
She laughs softly and places a hand on my shoulder, surprising me. "I greatly apologize, I didn't realize I was clicking it so loud! Thank you for letting me know, uh..." She looks to me curiously and I feel my heart pounding in my ears, the only thing I can think about is her beautiful features and soft voice.

No wonder all the boys and girls have crushes on her...
"M-my name is Jiwoo." I smile shyly to the stunning popular student next to me.
"Jiwoo! I apologize, Jiwoo, for disrupting your lunch. Also, that's a really pretty name. Hey, let's be friends!" She grins to me and my eyebrows raise, delighted and shocked at how sweet she really is.
It practically caught me off guard.
She stands and starts to pack up all of the work she was rushing to finish from off of the lunch table and holds her hand out to me. I cautiously shake her hand, still shocked that she even talked to me, the girl who's usually picked on.
"Here, you can have my banana milk too! I had an extra." She sets the milk down next to my tray of food and I feel as if this is a dream come true.
Did I just become friends with...
"It was great meeting you, Jiwoo! Let's sit together again for lunch." She grins while I nod up at her, a smile planted on my flustered face as she waves, walking off out of the lunch room.
As soon as she turns the corner I let out a shaky breath that I didn't even know I was holding. Looking at the hand that she had just shook moments ago, I revel in the way she had talked to me and treated me so kindly and with such respect.
No wonder the whole school loves her!
I pick up the banana milk and grin to myself, opening it and drinking it as the bell rings to go to class.
I sigh in content.
"Well, that's Kim Y/n for you... intimidating, confident and popular yet she's still the sweetest and most beautiful girl in this whole school." I smile to myself while finishing my lunch.

Kim Y/n, she's the bright and hardworking student that all teachers love and the confident, stunning and kind classmate that all of the other students admire.
Everyone loves Y/n.

The Ruins of Magincia
They say all things end in time, but the exalted City of Magi would’ve begged to differ. Yet when an attempted coup goes wrong, the city finds itself brought to the very brink of destruction. In the wake of the calamity that left no survivors, the autonomous infrastructure still operating the ruined city seeks to restore what was lost. Luckily for it, the Mana-devoid Universe it awoke in holds an unexpected surprise: a planet full of sentient life forms. All capable—with a little help—to become the next generation of Magi. Back on Earth, Millie McArthur is a pregnant out-of-work mechanic struggling with the prospect of moving back in with her parents after leaving her unfaithful fiancé. That is until she finds herself just one of the hundreds that have been shanghaied by the callous artificial constructs still manning the ruins of Magincia. Now, she must struggle to learn magic, compete for resources, get good 'grades,' and fulfill the seemingly arbitrary requirements for her future job in this broken city. All while keeping herself, and her son, alive. Is the miracle of magic really enough to make up for all the pain? The Ruins of Magincia is a dark fantasy that's heavy on the drama (LitRPG aspects are very light). Chapter lengths can be anywhere from 7k-12k and there's no current release schedule as I'm focusing on wrapping up volume one.

Trial of Champions
It all began with a family trip to an amusement park. How were any of us to expect being transported from Earth to participate in some "Trial of Champions," whatever that was supposed to be? Given only an hour to choose the Classes that would come to define our strengths, we were almost immediately torn away from one another and thrust into a deadly game of survival. It wasn't all bad, though, as terrifying as it could be from time to time. The supernatural and magical powers of the Classes were like something out of an RPG, complete with leveling up by killing monsters and completing so-called "Sub-Trials." And despite the juicy Experience to be gained from killing other Champion Contestants, not all of the participants were bloodthirsty murderers; some could be allied with, or even befriended. Even if it seemed like everyone who had been chosen for this Trial, no matter what universe they came from, was at least a little bit crazy. I would survive this till the end, and I'd make sure that my siblings and parents did as well, no matter how many times we were separated from one another. No matter how long it took. No matter what I had to do. --- A first-person litRPG incorporating classes inspired by D&D and other sources. If you like blue boxes but don't need to have huge lists of numbers to scratch your itch, you should be satisfied on that front. Each chapter is, in my word processing document, seven pages long (approximately 3300-3900 words). The Traumatizing Content warning is there because of discussions of certain topics. Nothing that I think deserves the warning actually happens in the story.

Midnight Origins: Arrival
On a lush planet known as Bhar, Verun is now the leading nation in the development of the rivaled schools of Magic and Science. Having brought forth an era of peace and prosperity for themselves through the development of Magitech, The High council was eager to spread their knowledge and beliefs to the furthest reaches of the continent, with the goal of ending senseless conflicts and prioritizing advancements in Magitech and improving the quality of life. This ambition, however, is not without opposition. Most followers side with one school or another, believing it is superior in nature. This conflict dates back to the very beginning of civilization itself, where it is believed by both sides that their gods descended from the heavens, bestowing upon them the knowledge that would bring the world into a new age. And though some took great interest in their differences, others would seek to convert each other through any means necessary. That being the case, The High council, leaders of Verun, had made the necessary preparations to handle threats and attempt diplomacy between the remaining opposers. Talented volunteers were hand chosen to be among the military, tasked with protecting the nation from both internal and external threats. And although non-biological creations have improved quality of life, they are not yet capable of replacing the military. The necessary research and development for such a thing was thought to be decades away, until Councilman Eranor encountered an anomaly in his facility…
