《My Boss, My Obsession (TTSPG Book Two.)》21

"Good morning." One of the officers started as he stepped closer to me, flashing his badge. "I'm detective Burnes and this." He stopped as he gestured to the other officer next to him. "Is Detective Pompey. We are both assigned to Mr. Crawford's case."
"Im Danny Mcpherson." I introduced, still not knowing what they wanted with me.
"We'll take it from here." Detective Burnes says to the two other guys that came in with them and I watched as they leave. "We just have a few questions and we'll be out of your hair."
"I'm sorry but I just don't know how I'm supposed to help with your case."
"Where were you Sunday last?" Dectetive Burnes asked as his partner took notes.
"Ah... I was home-"
"Alone?"
"Yes...?"
"Hmm." He murmurs before detective Pompey jots down something.
"Am, im sorry but what does that have to do with the case?"
"How involved are you with Mr. Crawford... The son?"
"Excuse me?"
"Is he your..." He clears his throat looks at his partner and continues. "Boyfriend?"
"Mr. Crawford... The son, is my boss and-"
"Not according to the information we got... It would be easier if you skipped the lies and just tell us the truth because we already know."
"So then why ask?" I snapped, annoyance stepping in.
"So that we can get all sides of the story."
"I don't know what those men told you but I can assure you that Mr. Crawford is not my boyfriend."
"Mr. Crawford is our source."
"Excuse me?"
I tilted my head to the side as if leaning on one side would make the information any less different and raised my eyebrows.

"Jon Crawford told us that he was involved with an employee and-"
"Okay look! I dont care what he told you about us and I really dont care. What I do care about is what the hell I'm doing be interrogated by you people."
"This isn't an interrogation. We would just like to piece together the events leading up to this horrendous act and try to figure out what exactly happened to trigger Jon shooting his father."
"Again, what does any of this have to do with me?"
"Did you guys get caught in the backseat of Jon's car a few weeks ago?"
"Yes but-"
"And did he get transferred to another location?"
"I mean yes but-"
"And were you approached by Mr. Crawford about your resignation from the company in which case you had Jon threathen his father if he didn't-"
"Wait! Hold the fuck up! I was never approached by Mr. Crawford at any point and told to resign. I-"
"So you weren't told to take an early day after you were caught?"
"Yes but-"
"And did you not go home that weekend and saw Jon on Monday after he confronted his dad?"
"I saw him yes but I had no idea he-"
"Did you not see him the following saturday where you both were drunk and got into a public argument?"
"How do you know-"
"Were you guys arguing about how and when to murder his father?"
"Why the fuck would I want him dead? That makes no sense!"
"I think he caught you guys having an inappropriate relationship and tried to fix the situation and you both didn't agree with it so you planned how to get rid of him-"
"Thats bullshit! Mr. Crawford might be a stringent employer but compared to his son, he's way more easier to work with. Yes, Jon and I got caught a few weeks ago and I get why his dad would be mad but I promise you, I have no idea what went down between the two men. All Jon told me was that he was handling it-"

"So you knew he would try to murder his dad?"
"What?! No! I just thought he meant that he would talk to him not shoot him."
"Okay." Detective Burnes says. "That's all the questions we have for now. Here's my card, feel free to call me if you know more and..." He stops as they both stand at the open door. "It would be best to avoid all contact with Jon Crawford as this investigation gous further."
I nod as they leave and don't miss the stares from my fellow colleagues as they stand outside.
Great, just what I needed.
Deciding that staying at work would make me a sitting duck for these parasites, I grabbed my stuff and headed back home. All the while I tried calling Jon's cell and of course he never picked up.
Thinking that he was still being questioned, I slipped my phone into my pocket and entered my apartment.
"Danny."
"Mom, what the fuck?!" I snapped as I held my heart.
"Language Danny, language!"
"Don't tell me about language when I just got the shit scared out of me. What the hell are you doing in my house at this hour? How the hell did you even get in?"
"I got in from the side door that you never seem to lock."
"What are you doing here?!" I asked again, hand pressed against my racing heart.
"Did Jon shoot his dad?"
"Mom." I groaned as I was just about fed up of talking about Jon and his problems.
"Don't mom me! I dont want my son around a murderer-"
"He is not a murderer-"
"He might as well be! Any person that could shoot their parent, someone that helped bring them into this world-"
"Everyday i fantazie about killing dad so how does-"
"That's not the same and you know it!"
"How is it not the same?!"
"Because you didn't actually do it!"
"Mom-"
"You will not argue with me about this and win! Either you stay away from him or-"
"Or what? I'm a grown ass man-"
"You're barely 21 and you're a grown ass man?! This is exactly why you need to stay away from him."
"I can make my own decisions-"
"Not when it comes to this. You either stay away from him or I will have your father talk some sense into you."
I stopped my reply as I stared at my mother, anger slowly seeping into my pores. "What did you just say?"
"I love you but-"
"You can't say that you love me and then threathen to out your bisexual son to that man that calls himself my father!" I shout, my anger reaching full force.
"I'll do what I have to in order to protect you. You can hate me all you want as long as you're alive and safe to do it."
"You should leave." I say quietly.
"Not until you promise me-"
"Now!" I snap, pulling the door open.
"Danny-" She starts but is wise enough to start walking towards the exit.
Without waiting for her to finish her statement, I slamed the door shut and locked it.
I get her wanting to protect me but to try and out me to that ungreatful fuck...
Slinking to the floor, I listened to her car start before hearing her drive off.
I needed to cool off before I apologised and I had just the right place in mind.

Time And Thoughts
This a book is where I freely express and convey emotions and my thoughts about topics. It's a place where I spend my TIME putting my THOUGHTS into words in hopes of helping someone. I've written these poems in such a way, so that my viewers can derive their own meaning from them. For me as a person I tend to feel more comforted, when down, by listen to music or reading poems, in which the poem or song is hopeless and gives off the feeling of the protagonist being bluntly hurt. In my poems I write without words of encouragement, but instead comfort the reader through understanding and allowing them to feel.If you ever feel the need to talk to someone or want to know the meaning of one of my poems or just wanna say something feel free to comment or private message me.Please enjoy and be comforted by my book.Highest ranking:#1 poems#1 poembook#2 poemcollection#2 poem#3 poetry#3 poetrycollection#5 sadpoems#5 thoughts#8 emotions#13 freeverse#17 hopeless#20 feelings#24 sadness#36 depressing #44 updating#56 life#70 sad#87 poet
