You walked next to Anakin through the street you grew up in. It was full of life. Old men placing some type of board game in the shade. Mothers talking as their children play in the streets. You smiled as you remembered when you were their age, playing outside in the beautiful weather until it was time to come in.
You and Anakin had changed out of your travel clothes. Anakin was back in his Jedi robes. You changed into an emerald satin gown with a sweetheart neckline that had gold details throughout it. The gown almost touched the ground. A matching belt ribbon was securely around your waist from a gold buckle holding it in place, the excess ribbon hung loosely in front of the gown. A darker emerald green sheer fabric was clipped around your neck with another gold piece. From the way it was clipped, it formed a cape around you with your shoulders and some of your chest exposed and stopped right behind your knees. You wore gold flats and a gold headband. Your hair was done in a messy ponytail, your Padawan braid untouched still. Anakin held onto your lightsaber for you. He had placed it right next to his on his belt.
Of course, you still were wearing your necklace from Ani. It rested perfectly on the exposed part of your chest.
"Do my eyes deceive me or is that the littlest Naberrie daughter?" a gentle voice said. You turned and saw the kind elderly woman who lived a few houses down from yours. She use to babysit you and your sisters.
"Mrs. Flora!" you replied happily as you walked over to her and gave her a hug.
"My, you have grown!" she gushed as she looked at you proudly. "You make all of Naboo proud as our Jedi Senator.. But you will always be that little girl I watched."
"Thank you." you said with a smile as you pulled away. "I wish I had time to catch up, but we have limited time here."
"Oh to be young and going on adventures again. Stay safe, Littlest Berrie." Mrs. Flora said, using her nickname she always had used for you. She smiled at you before politely waving to Anakin and walking away. You smiled at the fond memories that came to your mind. Anakin couldn't help but smile too. Your happiness was his.
"Naberrie?" Anakin asked. He never heard you be called by that name before.
"My real last name." you answered as you looked over at him. You started walking again, coming up to the side street where your childhood house was. "My real name is ____ Naberrie. My sister's name is Padmé Naberrie. We took on the regnal name, Amidala, when we were elected Queen and Princess of Naboo. But only our family and the Council of Naboo knows of our real names."

"And now me." Anakin added with a smile.
"And now you." you beamed at him as you both turned the corner. "There's my house!"
You quickened your pace as you felt Anakin's nervousness return as he hung back. Artoo beeped at Anakin to follow as the loyal droid waited for him. Anakin got scared. He was about to meet your family. Would they like him? What would they think of him?
"What? Don't say you're shy!" you said playfully.
"No, but I-" Anakin began to say as you grabbed his hand in yours and pulled him along with you. You ignored the fluttering feeling you and Anakin both felt. You both approached the stone house with dozens of blooming flowers and other various plants. The front door burst opened and the excited shouts of children could be heard.
"Auntie ____!" two little girls shouted as they ran over to you and you scooped them up in your arms.
"Ryoo! Pooja!" you exclaimed back happily, They hugged you back tightly and they giggled when you gave them a tight squeeze. Anakin smiled softly as you looked over at him with the biggest smile on your face. The girls looked over and saw Artoo.
"Artoo!!" they exclaimed as they quickly ran to him. Artoo beeped and whistled happily as Ryoo and Pooja hugged him.
"Come on." you said quietly to Anakin as you gestured for him to follow. The girls stayed outside to play with Artoo as you and Anakin entered the house. You entered first, Anakin still trailing behind you like a lost Ewok.
"___!" a man greeted you in the living area of the house.
"Dad!" you said happily as you ran to his open arms. He hugged you, happily to see his youngest daughter again. You had been so busy that you hadn't been able to stop by for almost a year. You both pulled away as your father smiled at you proudly. You moved over so your father can see Anakin.
"Dad, this is one of my closest friends, Anakin Skywalker." you introduced Anakin. Your father smiled at Anakin as he held out a hand for him to shake. Anakin nervously looked at your father's hand before shaking it.
It's okay, Ani. I'm right here next to you. There is no need to be so nervous.
You reassured him as Anakin glanced over to you, gratefully.
"Ruwee Naberrie." your father introduced himself. "Come, your mother and sister have been cooking since the second we heard you were coming."

Ruwee stepped aside as you led the way to the dining room. You walked in and saw Sola setting the table. She looked over and put down everything she was holding to give you a hug. "____!" she said happily. "You're late. Mom was worried."
"We walked." you explained as your mother walked in with a serving bowl full of food. You looked over at Anakin, who was looking around and admiring the room and atmosphere of it. "Anakin, this is Sola, my oldest sister."
"Hello, Anakin." Sola greeted kindly.
"Hello." Anakin replied politely as you gestured to your mother.
"This is my mother, Jobal." you introduced.
"You're just in time for lunch." your mother said as you all took your seats. Your parents sat at the ends of the table. You sat down on the left side of your mother as Anakin sat on the other side of you. Sola sat across from you and Anakin. "I hope you are hungry, Anakin."
"A little." Anakin replied politely again.
"He's being polite, Mom. We're starving." you said as everyone started to fix plates.
"Well, you've come to the right place at the right time." Ruwee said happily. "We're just missing, Padmè."
"She is handling everything at the Senate for me." you replied. "I'm thankful for her."
"Honey, it's so good to see you safe." Jobal chimed in. "We were so worried."
You gave her a look, not wanting her to worry so much. Anakin smiled at your slight annoyance. You never wanted others to worry deeply about you.
She is just being a mother. They always worry.
Anakin said to you through the Force.
I know. But I just don't want them to worry so much.
You replied as your father spoke. "Dear..."
"I know, I know." Jobal replied to her husband. "But I had to say it. Now it's done."
Anakin smiled at everyone's interactions before Sola said his name, getting yours and his attention. "Do you know, Anakin, you're the first boyfriend my sister's ever brought home?"
"Sola!!" you scolded. "He isn't my boyfriend! He's a Jedi assigned by the Senate to protect me." you let slip out. You immediately regretted letting that slip out because of your mother's reaction. It didn't help that you felt Anakin's slight disappointment from your words.
"A bodyguard?!" Jobal gasped. "Oh, ____! They didn't tell us it was that serious! Padmè didn't mention anything either!"
"It's not, Mom, I promise." you replied swiftly. "Anakin's a friend, a fellow Jedi, and the other half of the Jedi Prophecies that I am a part of. Remember that little boy who was the same age as me and with the Jedi during the blockade crisis?"
Everyone nodded as you continued explaining. "He grew up."
"Honey, I wish you could settle down. Haven't you had enough of this life? I certainly have. You are nineteen years old and have so much more ahead of you than politics and the dangers that come with being a Jedi."
"Mom, I'm not in any danger." you simply replied.
"Is she?" Ruwee asked Anakin. Anakin looked down at his food before glancing over to you.
Please don't, Ani.
You begged him. It was already bad enough Padmè, the Senate, and the Jedi Council were so worried and very protective of you. You didn't want or need your whole family's worry as well. You didn't think they should worry about it when you were positive that it was going to end soon.
"...Yes... I'm afraid she is..." Anakin said, not having the heart to lie to your family. You didn't fully realize how much danger you were in still and he thought your family had a right to know. Anakin was going to protect you with everything he's got. But that doesn't mean your family shouldn't be informed as well.
"But not much." you quickly added. You knew you didn't fully convince your family, but they didn't press any further and returned back to their meal. Sola started to tell you what your nieces had been up to as you absentmindedly listened.
I'm sorry. I just think they should know too.
Anakin apologized to you. You glanced over at him and he looked at you with a little sadness in his eyes. He was worried that he had made you upset or angry for not siding with you. But you gave him a smile, you couldn't be mad at him for caring about your family.
It's okay, I'm not mad or upset. I understand.
