《If You'll Be My Star (Anakin x Reader) BOOK TWO *COMPLETED*》Nineteen

Anakin stepped out of the water speeder first and onto the dock. He swiftly and quickly turned around and held out his hand to help you out. You got up and gave him a grateful smile as you took his hand. Ignoring the jolt of electricity that you felt as your hand touched Anakin's. You did your best to balance on the lilac colored low pumps you were now wearing. You weren't exactly used to wearing heels all the time.
You had to change once again, because little Pooja accidentally bumped into you and spilled her juice all over you. She was very apologetic and almost started to cry for ruining your emerald colored dress, but you reassured her that it was perfectly okay. Your mother actually jumped at the chance to give you the dress she had bought you awhile ago.
It was a long, overdrape halter gown made out of a flowy silk fabric. It reached the floor and you had to pull it slightly up when you needed to step up or down. It was ombrè dyed, starting with a pale yellow on the top half and sleeves of the dress that faded into a light, but bright pink. The pink faded into a light bluish lilac that matched your pumps. The fabric was pinned with a pearl brooch in the middle of your lower back and as well as in the front just above your knees. The back was a swooping one, leaving your back exposed and along with your shoulders. Your halter collar was made of a four piece shell-like, pearl collar. It gradually increased in size and was the color of a light gold. The collar also hid your necklace from Anakin underneath it. The zigzag armbands you wore were the same gold color as your color.
Your mother insisted on doing your hair, which you let her. She missed doing your hair. She had parted your hair down the middle and twisted two small sections in the front. Your hair was then twisted into a nautilus of hair, held in place by six headbands. The headbands were made of silk of the same lilac color and decorated with silvery pearls. You allowed your mother to tuck in your Padawan braid for the hair style this one time. But it was still visible to the eye.

You and Anakin walked side by side as you both climbed up the stairs towards the balustrade. Some servants came and took yours and Anakin's belongings, giving you and Anakin a chance to relax and enjoy the amazing view together. You had long let go of his hand from when he helped you out of the boat, but his hand kept brushing yours and you fought the urge to hold his hand.
"We used to come here for school retreat." you told him as you both headed towards the edge of the balcony of the balustrade. You both looked out to the lake, that shined brightly with the setting sun. There was a mountain range in the background that the sun still peaked over. A blooming garden was just below the balcony and green vines and plants covered the balustrade. "See that island? We used to swim there every day. I love the water."
Anakin looked over to the little island towards the center of the lake before replying to you. "I do too. I guess it comes from growing up on a desert planet."
You let out a soft laugh as you both leaned on the balcony edge. You felt Anakin's eyes on you as you continued on the conversation. "... We used to lie out on the sand and let the sun dry us and tried to guess the names of the birds singing." you smiled fondly at the memory as you folded your hands and leaned on your forwards. Anakin leaned on his left forearm as his body faced you.
"I don't like sand." Anakin stated as he fiddled with his hands, not looking at you. You looked over at him. Both of you felt calmness, yet this tension between you both. You swore you felt your heart start to beat insync with his.
Anakin felt the exact same as you. Both of your hearts seemed like it was becoming one in this moment as Anakin continued to speak. "It's coarse and rough and irritating... and it gets everywhere." he said as he finally looked up and met your eyes. He looked into your e/c colored eyes and saw the admiration, the affection, you held for him in them despite you trying to hide it.

You finally saw the love Anakin had for you in his eyes that your sisters talked about. You had to stop yourself from getting lost in them as you felt your nervousness grow for a reason you didn't let yourself believe. Anakin gave you a small smirk as he felt you grow nervous from the increasing unspoken tension. He looked away from you and back at the lake for a moment.
"Not like here." Anakin added. "Here everything is soft..." he said as he looked back at you. He looked down at your hand before gently touching your hand with the back of his. "And smooth."
You immediately looked away from him, even though you were receptive to his touch. Anakin moved his hand and gently touched your bare back. It was a soft plea for you to look back at him, which you did. Your e/c eyes meet his blue ones. You felt yourself get lost in them once again and you allowed yourself to as he smiled at you. You and Anakin looked at each other as you softly bit your lip. He slowly leaned down towards you and you didn't move or push him away.
You knew this was wrong. Every ounce of your being screamed it was.
Yet, you closed your eyes as his lips met yours.
The kiss was passionate and longing, as if Anakin has been waiting this whole time to kiss you. He was waiting all this time. You forgot about everything around you as you kissed him back with as much passion and longing. You felt Anakin lean into you more.
Through the Force Connection you shared with him, you felt all of the emotions he was trying to keep from you. You felt his happiness, how much he had missed you over the years, his wanting to be with you.
Most of all, you felt his love for you.
The feelings you buried deep within you was slowly coming to the surface for Anakin to finally feel through your Force Bond. Anakin's heart leaped in anticipation to finally feel that you reciprocated the exact same feelings he had for you.
Then reality hit you before Anakin could even find out if you felt the same.
You quickly pulled away from Anakin. You tried to compose yourself as confusion came from Anakin. Your feelings were bottled up again as you pushed again out and built up walls, completely cutting him off from feeling your emotions or hearing your thoughts. Anakin felt nothingness from you as he tried to search for your feelings through the Force and your bond. But your walls were only built up higher.
"No." you finally gasped as you looked away from him.. "I shouldn't have done that. We shouldn't have done that."
"I'm sorry." Anakin simply replied. He was at a loss for words and was hurt that you were so quick to push him away and cut him off from your bond. Anakin stood up a little straighter as you tried to blink back the tears that were threatening to fall. You sucked in a deep breath before you swiftly turned away from the balcony and walked away from Anakin.
Anakin turned to you and tried to grab your hand, but you pushed him back slightly with the Force. You held him in place as you quickened your pace and rushed to your room of the Lake House. You needed to be away from Anakin right now and his overflowing emotions he was letting you feel.
"___!" Anakin called out to you, but you ignored him as you entered the Lake House.

Legacy of Blood
Ao Ruang lives in a village isolated from the outside world. Due to a tragic fate he finds himself far away from his home on the brink of death. Only to be entrusted with the legacy of a near extinct race.A Legacy he must embrace.A Legacy that fills humanity with suspicion and hate.A Legacy written in blood. Hello Author here!I hope you all are enjoying my take on a cultivation story. I wanted to take elements I enjoy from cultivation novels while avoiding some of the tropes and insane power creep. I want to keep things as grounded as possible. The story is a bit quick paced in the start, but you will find that it slows down to a decent pace later on. The romance is going to be a slow burn and I want to keep it a bit of a surprise. While our protagonist Ao Ruang is the main man of the story their were will be times other characters will get some love also.Lastly, there will be occasional goals from latest chapter if those goals are reached I will release a bonus side chapter that focuses on other characters we have met before and I'm considering having polls to decide who the side chapter will be on.Please consider supporting me in anyway you can. For now I'm just looking for people to review, suggest to others, and interact.Respectfully,Joseon Walking
