💀💀Nico's pov💀💀
I walked out of geography looking for Will. Ugh I hate geography, I've already been around the world.
I walked to my locker, put my stuff away and grabbed money for lunch. I found Will in the lunch room looking lost. I laughed and walked over to him.
"Hey," I said in his ear and he jumped and I smiled
"Hi, uh you scared me!"
"I know! Do you have money?"
"Ya,"
"Ok let's get in line,"
We walked into line and bought our food, he got a egg salad sandwich and a milk and i got a apple and water.
I then guided him to my table that I have "claimed" since I first got here. We sat down, ate and secretly played footsies under the table. I "by mistake" kicked Will in the shin.
"OW!" Will yelled loudly and caused some caused some stares but what surprised the whole cafeteria was the sound of my loud laughter. I laughed even harder when Will pouted with his bottom lip sticking out and almost the whole room was quiet. I settled down and everyone got back to talking normally again after my strange outburst.
"Oh my gods today in language this life like Barbie, Monica I think her name was, kept hitting on me and I really wanted to punch her in the face," He said frowning probably remembering her ugly, fake face.
"Oh ya, Monica is a bitc-"
"Nico!"
"Ugh, yes sorry. Any way her and her group over there are really annoyi-"
"Hey Willy!" Speak of the devil
"Willy come sit with us, not with that emo loser!" Monica yelled across the room. Wills face turned red and he looked furious. I put my hand on his under the table and gave him a look that said "I don't care what they think of me"

"but I do!" He said He is great.
"Hey Monica, I would choose Nico over you any day!" She frowned at this
"Why he's ugly and boring!" She complained. This made Will even angrier and said a really childish comeback.
"What you say is what you are!" I smacked my forehead and laughed under my breath. He's great but he is also an idiot.
Monica yelled another comeback and they went on until Monica crossed my line
"Don't be a fag! Come over with us!"
Will looked at me with reassurance and I nodded
"Maybe I am!" He yelled
Monica looked confused
"What?"
"Whatever, you're not worth my time," and at that Monica pouted and turned back around.
"You okay?" I laughed because Will still looked furious. He looked at me and calmed down.
"I'm fine now," he replied
"Okay, since that's over follow me!"
"No." Will stated.
"Why not?" I asked
"Because u only ate two nights of your apple! Eat more!"
"I'll bring it with me, gods!"
"Good,"
We walked outside and I brought him to my favourite tree. It was a willow tree that I sat under since I got here. We laid in the soft grass under the tree and looked at the sky and tree.
When we started walking towards the doors we saw Monica and her followers standing in a group and looking at Will and I.
Then I asked him a question that I didn't understand
"Will, if your practically a year older than me, then why are we in the same grade?" Will looked at the ground and back up at me.
"In grade one, before my mom new I was dyslexic, I didn't have any extra help or anyone to help me, so I don't understand anything and I failed the grade." He said ashamed
"Oh, well that means you're in my grade so I'm glad,"
Will smiled as we walked into school

A Spirit Vein's Guide to Immortality
TL;DR Synopsis: Man dies from falling banana, gets interrogated but answers vaguely, suffers consequences Actual synopsis: Spirit veins. Many consider them to be the pillar on which the world of cultivation is built. These things served as the foundation for the first few realms that would allow humanity to achieve its everlasting dream of immortality. However, in the present age, these pockets of condensed energy only exist to be under the foundations of massive organizations, fostering a new generation of fighters while passively radiating the energy they contain. Nevertheless, spirit veins are still an important element in the world of cultivation, albeit much less so. With that in mind, have you ever considered what it would be like for someone to turn into a spirit vein? No? Well, Arthur never thought about it either. Going through the usual reincarnation schtick (if one could consider it usual), Arthur was eventually brought into a place where a god asked him where he would like to be reborn. Unsurprisingly, Arthur told the god his ideal rebirth. However, soon enough, he would come to realize that he should have been more specific with it. Now being reborn as the smallest spirit vein, or if you could even consider him a spirit vein, Arthur wondered what he could do other than wait for time to consume him…and that’s where the system came in. With it, he would experience multiple stories of hardships, adventure, romance, and action…all underground. Unless…? Do keep in mind that English is not my first language, so I would like to apologize in advance if there are any grammatical errors, typos, miscalculations and so on. In fact, I'd highly appreciate it if you tell me those mistakes. Also, this story focuses quite a lot on the gradual progression of the MC at the beginning, but in the long run, upgrading sprees would probably be more common. Thanks for reading this small note! Chimera
Eleanor meant the world to Titus. So when an opportunity to bring her murderer to justice appears, Titus jumps on the chance. His quest, however, would mean traversing the dangerous world of Nivandor, a land infested with monsters, night hunters, and corrupt kings–nothing he and his lord, Lady Priscilla, couldn't handle. Their plans change, however, when both of them are dragged into a nightmare realm, a dimension filled with strange and powerful terrors unlike any they've ever faced. Titus's skill as a kinetic mage is put to the ultimate test as he must work with his lord to fight off the increasingly dangerous monsters that hunt them as they hunt down the three remaining Seraph lords sustaining the Nightmare. For only when the final Seraph lord is slain will the Nightmare truly end. --- Happy Holidays! I tried to get a chapter out this month, but there was just too much stuff to do and I got sick. There will also be more stuff to do come the month of December to the point that I don't think I will have a chance to finish the current story arc on a strong note. So, as of today, I will be going on hiatus until the holidays are over. I will hopefully return with the last few chapters of book 2 as well as the DLC chapters to help clarify Titus and Priscilla's powers as well as a look into their lives before the story gets crazy (maybe 6-7 chapters). These chapters are planned to take place in the day between Chapter 1.4 & Chapter 1.5, detailing the day they had before going to Nivandor. How the DLC chapters will be titled is to be decided. The DLC chapters will be posted here free as usual. Really excited to get a break so I can catch up on chapters. Even more excited to be able to start book 3 once the current story arc is finished. Warmly, Daniel --- Disclamer: This story is not a finished product and will be undergoing changes, sometimes significant changes, as the story develops. Think of it as an early access story where nothing is fully set in stone. If I change a part of the story that you really love, I'm sorry, but changing one part of the story will affect the other parts I try to avoid major changes, especially in older chapters, but for the newer ones there will probably be more fine tuning. As for anyone invested in the story who is not happy with the way the story is going, feel free to DM me so I can get feedback. I want to know how you guys feel about the story, what changes I can make, at what point in the story I may have lost you. But until I get specific feedback, I won't know what changes might need to be made. There are about 14 chapters left for Part 2 of Chimera, give or take. I don't have a time frame for when they will be up but know I am chipping away at the chapters as I can.
