MIRROR, MIRROR
am and the gang are in the Impala while he's on the phone. "Oh really? Ah that's too bad Mr. Worthington. I would have paid a lot for that mirror. Okay, well maybe next time. All right, thanks." He hangs up.
"So?" Elena asks.
"So that was Mary's brother. The mirror was in the family for years, until he sold it one week ago to a store called Estate Antiques. A store in Toledo." Sam says.
Dean turns the wheel. "So wherever the mirror goes, that's where Mary goes?" He asks.
"Her spirit's definitely tied up with it somehow." Sam says.
"Isn't there an old superstition that says mirrors can capture spirits?" Elena asks.
Sam looks at her. "Yeah there is. Yeah, when someone would die in a house people would cover up the mirrors so the ghost wouldn't get trapped." He says.
"So Mary dies in front of a mirror, and it draws in her spirit." Dean says.
"Yeah but how could she move through like a hundred different mirrors?" Elena asks.
"I don't know, but if the mirror is the source, I say we find it and smash it." Dean offers.
"Yeah, I don't know, maybe." Sam says just as his cell phone rings. "Hello. Charlie?"
am, Dean and Elena go back to the place they were staying. Charlie is sitting on the bed with her head on her knees and Sam and Dean have all of the curtains drawn shut, and are throwing sheets over the mirrors, or facing them to the wall or floor.
"Hey, hey it's ok. Hey, you can open up your eyes Charlie. It's okay, all right?" Sam says and Charlie looks up slowly. "Now listen. You're gonna stay right here on this bed, and you're not gonna look at glass, or anything else that has a reflection, okay? And as long as you do that, she cannot get you."
"But I can't keep that up forever. I'm gonna die, aren't I?" Charlie says.
"No. No. Not anytime soon."
Dean sits on the bed too. "All right Charlie. We need to know what happened." He says.
"We were in the bathroom. Donna said it."
"That's not what we're talking about. Something happened, didn't it? In your life...a secret...where someone got hurt. Can you tell us about it?" Elena asks.
Charlie's hesitant at first, but she speaks up. "I had this boyfriend. I loved him. But he kind of scared me too, you know? And one night, at his house, we got in this fight. Then I broke up with him, and he got upset, and he said he needed me and he loved me, and he said 'Charlie, if you walk out that door right now, I'm gonna kill myself'. And you know what I said? I said 'Go ahead'."
"And I left. How could I say that? How could I leave him like that? I just...I didn't believe him, you know? I should have." She puts her face back on her knees and starts crying again.

ean drives in the rain while Elena and Sam sit quietly. "You know her boyfriend killing himself, that's not really Charlie's fault." Dean says.
"You know as well as I do spirits don't exactly see shades of gray, Dean. Charlie had a secret, someone died, that's good enough for Mary." Sam says.
"I guess."
"You know, I've been thinking. It might not be enough to just smash that mirror." Elena says.
Dean looks at her in the rearview mirror. "Why, what do you mean?" He asks.
"Well Mary's hard to pin down, right? I mean she moves around from mirror to mirror so who's to say that she's not just gonna keep hiding in them forever? So maybe we should try to pin her down, you know, summon her to her mirror and then smash it." Elena says.
Sam looks at her surprised. "Well how do you know that's going to work?" He asks.
"I don't, not for sure." Elena says.
"Well who's gonna summon her?" Dean asks.
"I will. She'll come after me." Sam suggests.
Elena looks at him. "No, Sam." She says.
"You know what, that's it." Dean says and pulls the car over. "This is about Jessica, isn't it? You think that's your dirty little secret that you killed her somehow? Sam, this has got to stop, man. I mean, the nightmares and calling her name out in the middle of the night—it's gonna kill you. Now listen to me—It wasn't your fault."
"If you wanna blame something, then blame the thing that killed her. Or hell, why don't you take a swing at me? I mean I'm the one that dragged you away from her in the first place."
Sam looks down. "I don't blame you." She says.
"Well you shouldn't blame yourself, because there's nothing you could've done." Dean says.
"I could've warned her." Sam says.
"About what? You didn't know what was gonna happen! And besides, all of this isn't a secret, I mean I know all about it. It's not gonna work with Mary anyway."
Elena knew the truth. Sam in fact knew what was going to happen to Jessica. She knew this because she knew Sam, probably more than he knows himself.
"No you don't." Sam says.
"I don't what?"
"You don't know all about it. I haven't told you everything." Sam says.
Elena shrinks down into her seat. "What are you talking about?" She asks.
"Well it wouldn't really be a secret if I told you, would it?"
Dean looks surprised. "No. I don't like it. It's not gonna happen, forget it." He says.
"Dean that girl back there is going to die unless we do something about it. And you know what? Who knows how many more people are gonna die after that? Now we're doing this. You've got to let me do this." Sam says and Dean looks at his brother.

They make it to the antique shop and Sam is trying to pick the lock on the door. It opens and they see many mirrors are in this shop. "Well...that's just great." Dean says. He pulls out the picture of Mary's dead body to look at the mirror. "All right let's start looking."
They split up and walk around the store and we see a flashing light that seems to be part of an alarm. "Maybe they've already sold it." Elena says.
Sam's flashlight stops on the mirror. "I don't think so." He says.
Dean walks over to him and pulls out the picture again to compare. It is the mirror. "That's it. You sure about this?" He asks and Sam hands the flashlight to Elena.
"Bloody Mary. Bloody Mary." He looks at Dean who gives him an unsure look back. Sam picks up the crowbar. "Bloody Mary."
Dean turns to see a light coming through the store. "I'll go check that out. Stay here, be careful. You too Elena." Sam readies the crowbar again. "Smash anything that moves." Dean crawls away towards the front door. He sees a headlight. "Crap." He puts the crowbar down and begins to walk to the door.
Meanwhile Sam hears a breath, so he turns to look at a different mirror, when the camera turns back to Mary's we see her in it. Elena gasped.
Dean is now outside facing police. "Hold it." They say.
"Woah guys, false alarm, I tripped the system." Dean says.
"Who are you?" The officer asks.
"I'm the boss's kid."
"You're Mister Yamashiro's kid?"
We see Mary in a different mirror now. Sam sees her there out of the corner of his eye and smashes the mirror with the crowbar. She is in a different one now, and he sees her and smashes that mirror too. He is now back facing her mirror.
"Come on. Come into this one."
Sam looks oddly at his reflection, which has now taken a mind of its own like Jill's. Sam starts having trouble breathing and has a trickle of blood coming out of his eye. He drops the crowbar and grabs his heart.
"It's your fault. You killed her. You killed Jessica." The reflection says. Elena ran to Sam and tried to hold him upright.
Dean is still outside, talking to the police. "Like I said, I was adopted." He says.
"Yeah."
Dean is being covered back and front by the two cops. "You know, I just—I really don't have time for this right now." He punches one cop, backhands the other, then punches the cop in front of him again. They are now on the ground.
"You never told her the truth—who you really were. " The reflection says. Sam is now falling towards the ground. "But it's more than that, isn't it? Those nightmares you've been having of Jessica dying, screaming, burning—You had them for days before she died. Didn't you!?! You were so desperate to ignore them, to believe they were just dreams. How could you ignore them like that? How could you leave her alone to die!?! You dreamt it would happen!"
Elena holds Sam and caresses his head. Dean's crowbar goes through the mirror. "Sam, Sammy!"
"It's Sam." Sam has blood coming out of his eyes.
"God, are you okay?" Dean asks.
"Uh, yeah." Sam replies and Elena releases him.
"Come on, come on." Dean says and pulls Sam up. He puts Sam's arm over his neck, and they begin to walk out, until Mary comes out of the frame of the mirror. They turn around to see her crawling over the broken glass.
Mary walks towards them and they both fall to the ground. They both start bleeding from the face, but Elena reaches up and pulls over a mirror so that Mary is forced to see her own reflection.
"You killed them! All those people! You killed them!" It says. Mary starts choking to death and melts into a pile of blood. Elena throws down the mirror he held and it shatters.
"Good thinking." Dean says to her. He then turns to his brother. "Hey Sam?"
"Yeah?"
"This has got to be like...what? 600 years of bad luck?" Sam chuckles weakly.
e come back to Sam and Dean driving in the car with Charlie and Elena in the back. They pull up in front of a house. "So this is really over?" Charlie asks.
"Yeah, it's over." Dean nods.
"Thank you." She says.
Dean reaches back to shake her hand, and she gets out of the car. "Charlie?" Elena asks. "Your boyfriend's death...you really should try to forgive yourself. No matter what you did, you probably couldn't have stopped it. Sometimes bad things just happen."
Charlie smiles faintly, then turns around to go into the house. "That's good advice. Maybe you should take it, Sam." Dean says. "Hey Sam?"
"Yeah?"
"Now that this is all over, I want you to tell me what that secret is." Dean says.
Sam sighs. "Look...you're my brother and I'd die for you, but there are some things I need to keep to myself." He looks at Elena in the rearview mirror.
Sam knew she wouldn't tell. He looks out the window and sees Jessica in a white dress on the street corner standing next to a light pole, as they turn the corner she disappears behind the pole, and we don't see her again.

Project G00
|Nanopunk |Crafting | Detailed Science and experiments | Inner thoughts | Bio-Robots | Evolution | Infodumps | Tell not Show | Insane to Sane | Slow and Detailed Pace | Puddle to Unknown | Artificial Intelligence | Trans-humanism | Bad Jokes | Moving 'Dungeon' Core | Hi! I am G00. I am a project made by some weirdo. Some may refer to me as the wobbly thing in the fridge or the slimy thing in the ceiling. Others might tell you about that sticky thing inside your nose. In the end, they called me the Seed of Life, yet didn’t tell me what I was supposed to become. Furthermore, it just happens that this stage was the most miserable place to reincarnate... Reincarnate as in… What the hell did I become?! (Whispers) You are a puddle. A puddle? (Whispers) Yes. C’mon little guy, say your lines! You’re live right now! Welcome to puddle-springs aka the afterlife of a puddle. CUT! Eh? Why?! No edition or photoshop needed?! We’re short on puddle-staff. The camera is broken, I am broken, and you are broken. Wait! How can a puddle be broken? You are not a puddle, you are frozen yogurt. NOOOOOOOOOO! Additional summary: Spoiler: Spoiler Humanity has finally made the second step towards space. Many developments were taking place at the time this happened. All of them accomplished thanks to nanotechnology. Inventions regarding Artificial Intelligence and nanorobotics created the opportunity, a way to terraform planets by sending nanorobots to space. Their orders? Colonizing and preparing the new worlds before humanity's arrival, aka terraforming. Meet G00, a weird agglomeration of nanomachines. A bit stupid, but it's not because he was like that. The little guy... 'He' is really broken. The hardest start of a story is when language is oddly misunderstood, when you know nothing of the place you just arrived; when your companion is a buggy system, and when you have to repair yourself with whatever trash you can scavenge from your surroundings. All of this while you fight your worst enemy: potatoes? What will you do in an unfamiliar circumstance where nothing is what it seems and where you won't even understand the boring ramblings of a confused main character? Well, patience will... probably have a reward? Additional tags and disclaimers: Read before starting the story: Harem: Not included for the moment, depends on characters added, votes by readers, and things that happen on the go. Magic: Far away chapters maybe... as part of high level or non-understandable things by science. Slice of life: Probably some parts will include it. Disclaimer #1: Crazy amount of content about high-tech info-dumps, slow pace, starts with biology and nanotechnology. Might have some weird jokes and puns. Game bugs are also possible. Disclaimer #2: No puddles were harmed during the making of this story. No character is real, no real puddle was used as part of the cast. Character is stupid at the start on purpose but he will get beta and beta. All written content follows a logical approach no matter how stupid it appears to be, maybe… Because it’s just a raccoon splashing some cotton-candy over a puddle after it was thrown. Yup, a bully raccoon with rabies or so it seems.

Journey West 5000
With her parents murdered and her brother abducted, a trainee Monk of the Gun pursues the one responsible, the Bull Demon King, undefeated Warlord of the Crimson Army.Struggling to track down her enemy while braving the dangers of the wilds, she enlists the help of Sun Wukong, but 500 years under a mountain have taken its toll. Unstable and weakened, will he be more hindrance than help? Can he become the warrior he once was?A Monk and a Monkey journey across a world...... where the remnants of technology are seen as magic, while pockets of humanity strive to drag themselves out of ignorance.... where the descendants of animal-human hybrids, once created as instruments of war, now seek to dominate the world as demons.... where beings who call themselves Immortals and Gods preoccupy themselves with selfish pastimes, ignoring everything else. Among other things, a story about growth, grit, and being better than the person you were yesterday. Here's my rambling on why I'm writing Journey West 5000. Journey West 5000 is my crazy ambitious writing project to adapt a classic epic called "Journey to the West" for a global, modern audience. It's a sci-fi story disguised as fantasy, and has some road trip + monster of the week elements (as does the original Journey to the West). No system, definitely no harem, gradual power progression. Hmm, what else can I put here so potential readers know what to expect? My writing style for now is mostly "show don't tell", because I believe that readers don't need to have everything pointed out to them, and that they should be allowed to make up their own minds about characters based on the actions of those characters. I'm also trying to be less long-winded (a weakness pointed out by some friends) in order to write according to something Neil Gaiman said, which is to write as though I'm the one who has to pay for every word, not the reader. This will bring down my chapter word counts, and might drive away potential readers, but I believe there's value in learning to compress and be concise. All chapters posted here will have been edited. Constructive criticism, comments, and feedback would be very much welcome and appreciated. Please, please help point out any typos or grammatical mistakes, I'm striving to minimize those as much as possible. Above all, I hope you enjoy my story.
