《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 34: Spy

When we landed on the surface, the city looked terrible. All around were pieces of metal that had fallen from buildings. Smoke and dust filled the air, and not one citizen was in sight.
"General Amidala and General Skywalker, I have no idea how you did it, but you saved many lives today. "Senator Organa said as he came running to the entrance of the ship.
Volunteers were taking out the supplies from the ship, quickly giving them to those in need."Of course, Senator." I nodded, making him smile before taking off to help the volunteers.
"Well, it looks like we make a pretty good team," Anakin said as Admiral Yularen approached. Yularen chuckled before crossing his arms, "I must admit I am a bit surprised at the reckless nature of your tactics though I cannot argue with their results." Yularen claimed, making Anakin chuckle.
"Well, you'll find I like to do things differently from time to time," Anakin smirked, nudging the side of my waist. I shook my head in embarrassment. "Indeed." the Admiral soothed. "The chancellor mentioned as much though he insisted it was the highest compliment" Yularen added before walking off. Ani shook his head sarcastically, rolling his eyes.

For a few hours, the city of Christophsis seemed to be getting their citizens under control until a new herd of separatists made it impossible to fight off.
"We need to do an ambush," Obi-Wan said into the intercom. I was hiding behind walls to reach the top of the building where our ambush plan would occur. Anakin followed behind in my steps as we ran up the stairs, finally reaching our destination.
"Anakin, how are you doing over there?" Obi-Wan asked through Anakin's intercom. "We're set. I've got some guys here who are anxious to get going." Ani added. With us were commander Rex and his crew. I wasn't as close to Rex as I was to Cody, but he was always lovely and welcoming to anyone.
"Glad to hear that." Obi-Wan ended the conversation leaving the group to get started. Battle droids lined up on the street, with tanks following behind. "Are you ready?" Anakin whispered as he looked over his shoulder. I nodded with a smile, "always." I say, smirking.

Everything seemed according to plan until the line of droids dispersed, and in a matter of seconds, Obi-Wan had been overrun. "Obi-Wan, what's going on?" Anakin asked worriedly into his intercom. From afar, the building Master Kenobi was in was full of droids. Blaster shots and saber marks were all you could see.
"We're cut off. The droids are onto us!" Obi-Wan yelled as he struggled to catch his breath. The grunts and sound of metal clashing against another were the sounds we could hear. "Gunship, come in," Anakin spoke into his intercom again. "Hawk, we need an evac in the south tower," Ani added.
"South tower? We're in the north tower." Rex tilted his head confused. "Not for long." Anakin confidently yelled, taking his lightsaber out. He slashed the tall window before making an 'x' figure before using the force to break the glass entirely.
"Rex, fire the cables!" Anakin yelled through the glass, falling onto the ground. The three other troops kneeled, pointing the cables towards the other building, making a zipline. "Get your lightsaber out, we're moving." Anakin quickly said, jumping out of the window ziplining to the other side.
"Sure," I said sarcastically, taking my lightsaber and following after them. As we approached the middle, blasters from the droids below began to shoot in our direction. One trooper fell to his death. Anakin arrived first, breaking the window again.
When we landed, we immediately went to slashing the head of droids. "This way is clear!" Anakin shouted, entering the same room as Obi-Wan. "How did you guys get over here?" Obi-Wan asked, confused but not losing sight of the droids. "We improvised!" Anakin grunted as he used the force once again to make a couple of droids fall onto each other.
Though it wasn't enough, more and more battle droids continued to come out. "This way!" I yelled, running in the direction of the elevator. Both Obi-Wan and Anakin nodded, running. "To the top floor!" Obi-Wan yelled as a trooper pressed the button, making the elevator rush towards the top.
As we reached the top floor, the evac ship was not in sight. In every direction, our heads spun, knowing any second the droids would emerge to the top. "Now what?" Anakin asked, glaring everywhere. Just as I had suspected, the droids were now on the roof.

"Look out!" I yelled as I deflected the blaster, almost hitting Rex in the head. "Thank you, General!" Rex yelled as he took out his gun. Of course, the show off Anakin was; he twirled and did flips slicing the head and arms off of droids. "Show off" I sarcastically said as I scored a few droids.
"The evac is here!" Anakin shouted, slowly backing up. As the troops jumped on, one of them pulled off the head of a tactical droid. Soon everyone, except one was on board and safe. "Maybe this tactical droid will tell us how they knew our plan," Rex said, holding the head of the droid and spinning it, observing every detail.

"You liked my moves, didn't you?" Anakin asked as we walked to the command center. "Your moves? Please, I could do better." I rolled my eyes, making him chuckle sarcastically. "You two are still bickering?" Obi-Wan asked as he followed behind us.
When we entered the command center, Rex had sighed loud in frustration. "well, at least we're not the only ones having a bad day." Anakin said, walking to the center of the room.
"Generals." Cody greeted us while straightening his back. "They had all our intel," Cody added, sighing. "That would explain the ambush," I said, crossing my arms into my chest. "How could we have left ourselves so vulnerable to a security breach?" Anakin asked as he circled the table.
"I don't think we did," Obi-Wan said, turning around from the large map on the wall. "You think someone infiltrated our defenses?" Anakin asked, raising an eyebrow. "Possibly. It would have to be someone cunning and resourceful enough to gain access to all our plans." Obi-Wan said.
"But that still wouldn't explain how they got out intel," I said, making Obi-Wan shake in agreement. Someone had to be undercover. "A spy, ma'am? But who would betray our troops to the seppies?" Cody asked, glaring in my direction. A worried expression grew onto his face.
"Excellent question, Cody. Maybe it's time we visited enemy lines. I think we will find answers there." I said, making both Anakin and Obi-Wan nod in agreement. "We'll get right on it," Cody added.
"No, we need you here to find the security breach," I said, making him nod again. "You can count on us, ma'am." Cody bowed, making me smile. It felt good to have a plan go my way finally. "Oh, and one more thing, Cody. This plan is extremely confidential. The spy can be anyone. Let no one know about our mission." I said calmly. Both Rex and Cody nodded in sync. "Well then, we will be going. Good luck." I said lastly.
As we headed out of the command center, we made our way to the lower floor. "Get on a speeder," Obi-Wan ordered, hopping onto one and turning it on. Both Anakin and I went on our own, "race you?" Anakin said, making me roll my eyes. "Take it seriously, Anakin," Obi-Wan said annoyingly, making me laugh.
The sky was darker as the clouds began to gather up. The city was tranquil; there was something more going on. "We appear to have picked us some friends," Anakin yelled through the roaring of the engines. "Indeed. I believe the number of eyes watching us has been steadily growing." Obi-Wan shouted.
"Great. Perhaps this means our adversary has learned about our missions." Anakin seethed through his teeth. "Perhaps it does." Obi-Wan sighed while rolling his eyes. "Of course, nobody has tried to stop us yet," I shouted, making them question themselves. "They want us to get to the Separatist headquarters, which means this is a trap," I called once more, making the area silent.
"Well, that's unfortunate... for them!" Anakin shouted; I knew the brown hair boy had a smirk on his face and a plan in mind.

The Ancient Core: A Progression Fantasy
The title of [The Ancient One] is bestowed upon an unassuming, forgotten Core. Hidden deep underground, it lies in wait, biding its time as it learns the rules of its surroundings. Roaming beasts and unknown threats surely threaten the little rock as it sticks to the darkness, its one true refuge. This is a slow-burning Dungeon-Core fiction with a LitRPG-System. You can expect an extreme amount of kingdom-building, an more in-depth Mana-System, and a Evolution-System. Chapters are between the length of 2-4k words, though the first 50 will likely be closer to 4k. Anything after will have the average be 2.5k. I personally like explaining how things work a lot, so do have that in mind if you decide to read this fiction.
