《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 40: Play Time

It's been at least half an hour since we left. The anticipation was running through all our bodies. "Put your hood on, my love," Anakin whispered; it sent chills down my spine every time he did that.
The small ship we were on was dark and smelled like sweat. Everyone was crammed into the ship, touching shoulders with one another.
"All right, here's the story." Obi-wan appeared onto the small hologram in the center of the ship. "Jabba has given us only one planetary rotation to get his son back home to Tatooine safe and sound." Master Kenobi's voice was gentle; a warm smile appeared on his face.
Anakin grabbed the bar on top of the ship, keeping him steady; his body was inches away from mine. He smelled like sweet fruit. My eyes traced his whole body leading up to his face, though he was already staring. He smiled, but it wasn't just a regular smile; it was seductive.
"Won't take us that long, Master," Anakin spoke up after what seemed like hours. His eyes darted back onto Obi-wan. I quickly drew into my thoughts, thinking of all the situations Ani and I could be in at the moment.
By the time I looked back, Obi-wan was longer on the screen. I looked around to see if anyone had noticed I was in a trance, but the only one who did was Ani. He smirked before chuckling under his breath.
I grunted, rolling my eyes before slightly nudging his chest. "Stay close to me." Anakin bent down a slight bit, whispering in my ear once again. As usual, chills ran down my spine; I nodded in agreement.
Soon after, the ship began to tremble; we were approaching our destination.
"Sir, we're taking heavy fire!" The clone driving the ship shouted. "Close the blast shields, Lieutenant! Get us under those guns!" Anakin shouted as more and more blaster shots headed our way. I held onto the sides of his robes, clinging onto them as the ship began to sway.

The ship's red lights were turned on; this meant we were about to charge into action. The troops held their guns, making sure they were loaded. Zander fixed his hair, making me roll my eyes. As for Ahsoka, well, she looked more prepared than everyone in this ship.
The ship landed gently; soon after, the red lights turned green. The doors busted open, Anakin jumped out, taking his robe off in the process. I always thought it was hot when he was in action; his hair would always sway with his movements.
"Go, go, go!" A clone trooper shouted, making everyone get out. Quickly, explosions were the only sounds heard. We were in a jungle; trees surrounded us.
Looking up was a large mountain, "we are heading up there?" I shouted, running beside Anakin, who was leading the whole group. "Yup. Remember to stick by me!" Ani yelled back as he deflected blaster shots.
We lead to a dead-end, leaning against the tall mountain. From atop fell a droid landing on his stomach. "Oh, my god!" It shouted as he was then powered off.
"So this is where the fun begins?" Ahsoka asked as she was in between Anakin and I. "Race you to the top?" Anakin smirked, challenging Ahsoka. "I'll give you a head start," Ahsoka said confidently, making Anakin roll his eyes playfully. "Looks like you have competition," I said, laughing with Ahsoka.
"Your mistake!" Anakin yelled as he accended his cables to the top of the mountain. He was followed by Ahsoka, who was surprised by his speed.
"You ready, Zander?" I asked, knowing this was also his first mission. "Always ready, Master." Zander took his cables, ascending them into the air.
We were all climbing onto the mountain, deflecting as we went up. Troops and tanks began to slide down the hill as they were being taken down.

As I climbed up, I watched the competition intensely. However, something had occurred on Ahsoka's end. The tank was tilting, making her hang off. "Anakin!" I shouted, making him look down before his eyes landed on Ahsoka.
He quickly jumped down, landing on the tank before four speeders that held dumb battle droids approached. He jumped onto all four taking them down before he headed back up the hill on a stolen speeder. "Hey! That's not fair!" Ahsoka shouted.
I shook my head playfully before starting up the wall again. Zander was feet below me. He was handling himself well. I wonder who had trained him in the past if he even got any training in. Minutes later, I had reached the top, and to my surprise, Anakin was already here. However, he was in quite some trouble. In front were three droidekas. Ani took out his saber, holding it onto his side.
"Anakin duck!" I shouted as Ahsoka appeared on top of the tank and quickly drew fire on the droidekas. "Always in time to save your life," Ahsoka said teasingly, jumping off the tank.
The troops and Zander finally made it to the top, panting as they got up. "You alright?" I asked Zander, who nodded his head. "You got more to learn," I said, patting his shoulder as I laughed."Have some men look after the wounded." my head turned back in the direction of the group. Anakin had ordered a few troops to look after those who had difficulty making it up. "Let's get going, Zander," I said, looking back at the young boy who had caught his breath.

Sorry for the random tiny chapters. I structured and uploaded this as a series of scenes, some of which just didn't need to be very long. I could probably attach the "sub-scenes" to previous chapters, but that'd only be covering it up, so I'm not sure its worth it. Anyway if you find them annoying, let me know, and I'll put some more thought into it. I did, at least, make a point of always posting at least a thousand words on any given day (after I noticed the problem), which hopefully mitigates the problem.
