《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 65: To Love

"I'm waiting for my business venture to start. I'm doing some private investing with guaranteed returns." Clovis ranted about his business. We walked into the secluded library once more. I had waited all night to be brought back into this room, and it took a whole lot of listening to get here.
"Oh, could you bring me something to drink?" I asked. I held my hand up to my forehead, feeling my temples pounding. I then moved my hands towards my neck. "I'm so thirsty all of a sudden, and my head is pounding," I mumbled. He grabbed onto my waist, holding my weight as I leaned back onto him.
"Oh, you poor thing. It's the climate change. I'll be right back." Clovis answered. His body swiftly moving out of the room. I stopped acting like whatever I felt was bothering me; this was the plan the whole time. Act sick, to get anywhere.
I moved towards the Holonet, looking at all the buttons to press on. "Display hologram," I whispered.
"Passcode required." the Holonet voiced back. Dammit. "Scipio. Banking Clan. Senator Clovis. Baron Rush Clovis. Rush." I tried everything, but my mind ran into one word. My name, "Y/n?". The computer chirped. It was the correct password. "Passcode accepted."
What appeared on the Hologram was coordinates for Dooku's new droid foundry. Clovis and the Banking Clan were behind all of it. The Council has to see this. I grabbed my small purse digging my hands to find the intercom chip calling Anakin.
I then took the chip from the holonet, grabbing the coordinates and data.
"Still dying of thirst?" Clovis walked back into the room. My back turned fastly; I held the chip in my hand, hiding it behind my back. I walked towards the center, taking the cup of water from his hands. "That tastes so good. I guess I was just thirsty." I lied after taking a sip.
"Come, Y/n. Give me your hand." Clovis commented. I coughed; I didn't expect what he had asked. On the one hand, I held his valuable chip and held a glass of water in the other. I could use the Force, but focusing on two things would be a challenge. Instead, my body threw itself onto his. "You're so good to me, Clovis. I don't deserve your kindness." I mumbled, hoping Ani would walk in, and surprisingly he did. However, I didn't want him to walk in at this exact moment. My hands wrapped Clovis's neck as his hands wrapped my waist.
"It's nice to hear you say that," Clovis whispered into my ear. My eyes made eye contact with Ani's. His pupils were huge, and on the edge of his lower lid was a small puddle of tears swelling. I swallowed thickly, "I've been waiting for this moment all night." I replied.

I held up the chip clear enough for Anakin to see. He nodded; he knew my plan in an instant. I let my hand drop the chip, making it fall onto the ground but before it did, Anakin extended his arm using the Force to pull it to himself.
"Your heart is racing," Clovis whispered once again. I leaned back from his grip, annoyed. "Because of you." I lied.
"I wasn't sure you still had feelings for me. But now..." Clovis leaned his body further into mine again, though I stopped him with my arms. "I would have said something earlier, but we were in the middle of our official duties, and duty comes first, no matter... no matter how we feel." My body felt weak. My words became dry and shortened.
"Y/n, what's wrong?" Clovis asked. However, before I could respond, my body entirely went numb. My limbs gave up, and the room had become pitch dark; here we go again.
I shut my eyes, hoping I didn't have to see anything more. I had the chip in my hand, and I knew the efforts Y/n had gone through to get this. I quickly ran back to the ship giving the chip to R2.
"Take good care of this R2." I quickly mumbled. He held out his mechanical hand, preparing the chip. I placed it diligently between his metal grips. "Get the ship ready for takeoff. If I'm not here in five minutes, leave without me. No matter what happens, the Council has to see this Hologram." I ran back into the direction I had left Y/n in.
My eyes opened slowly, seeing 3POs face was relieving. The room seemed to be in a haze that I could not control.
"Leave us." Clovis entered the room in a hurry. He sounded angry, and I knew he had found out. "I was just in the library. The hologram disk is gone. I see now why you renewed our friendship, so you could spy on me and steal from me." he leaned onto the bed. His face was hanging in front of mine. "I did it for the republic. I didn't want to believe that you were involved with the separatist. But you are. You're a traitor." I laid my finger on his chest in which he grabbed into his palms.
"Where is the disk you stole?" He asked harshly.
"It's on the way to the senate. Your scheme is finished." I replied. My voice was still low and dry. He threw my hands back onto the bed. His veins popped up from his forehead.
"Get away from her if you want to live." Anakin's voice made my eyes open wider. His footsteps approached the bed until I saw his face. "Y/n." he grabbed my hands, cupping them into his.

"How dare you speak like that to me? I'm a senator." Clovis sneered. I held onto Anakin's hand, scared of what was happening inside my body. I felt everything inside me shut down slowly. "What's wrong with her?" Anakin fumed.
"Lott Dod poisoned her. She's dying." He consoled Anakin. "I'll take her to the doctors on Coruscant," Ani replied. Their words had begun to fade away into a whisper slowly. "There's not enough time for that. Lott Dod must have an antidote. She's stolen a precious disk from me. Return it, and I'll get the antidote from Lott Dod." Clovis's voice had annoyed me to my peak, but I had no strength left. I let my eyes slowly fall in a drift sleep, my eyes still locking onto Ani's before it turned pitch black again.
"I prefer to negotiate with Lott Dod in person." I jeered. I felt my jaw clutch and the anger start to build up. "No. He cannot be told..." Clovis began to speak. "What? That you lost the disk?" I teased. I chuckled loudly, mocking his face, "I'm sure he'd be very interested in hearing all about this." I sarcastically said. I knew it would hit his nerves and that's all I wanted to do.
"He might kill me if he finds out. But still, it's her life that I worry about. She must be saved because I love her." He whispered.
I wanted badly to laugh but knew it wasn't the appropriate time. "In that case, I suggest you can help us back to the ship before Lott Dod finds anything out," I suggested.
"Come with me, quickly," Clovis shouted.
I quickly diverted my attention back onto Y/n, grabbing her entire body as I lifted her. She wrapped her hand around my neck softly; she didn't have enough strength. I hated seeing her in pain; this was precisely what I didn't want. She was so strong but so vulnerable at the same time.
We ran down towards the hallway dodging the guards around the palace and especially avoiding Dod. Her face was pale and almost a grayish color; I swear that I will beat Clovis for this by the time this is over.
"What is going on, Clovis?" Dod's voice echoed in the main lobby. Two taller-looking men followed him. By the way, Clovis's body halted; he was surprised to have run into him. "I'm sorry, Lott. Ms. Amidala is very ill, and we're taking her to her ship." He responded. His voice quaked, pathetic.
"If Y/n is ill, she should not be moved," Dod added. There was no way in hell I'll let her die. Not after the argument we had, I should have made time, I know, and it's all my fault. Her lips were turning a slight grayish purple, and I was scared.
"I have contacted the authorities of Naboo. They thought it best to take her back to Coruscant. The doctors there are better equipped." Clovis tried to negotiate.
"She cannot leave!" Dod screamed. His voice must have traveled a distance in the palace. This had struck a nerve on Clovis; he quickly pulled his blaster from his belt and directed the tip on Dod's chest. "Give me the antidote, or you're dead," he shouted.
"You'll pay for this. Give Clovis the antidote." One of the large men behind Dod' pulled a small syringe giving it to C3PO. "Take her quickly," Clovis shouted. He stared back into my direction, still holding the blaster in his hand. I set out for the ship, in a hurry to leave this damn system.
"Wait," Clovis shouted from behind. Ugh, now what did he want?
"Now give me back my disk." He extended his hand, shaking in the process. Give him back the disk? Like hell, I would. "Don't worry, Clovis. It's good to know you have a heart. I wish I could give you the disk, but I have a lot of faith in your survival skills." The door to Y/n ship closed onto his face.
A rush of emotions hit my body at an instance. I was relieved to be free of Rush, and well to finally have Y/n back.
I laid her gently across the leather chair. She was still knocked out. "Where's that medicine, 3PO?" I asked the droid. He held the syringe in hand, ready to take it, and quickly I did. I squeezed the syringe into her arm, waiting for the results.
She groaned, lifting her eyes slowly. "I'm sorry." She whispered; her voice was cracked. "What for? We got away, and we have the Hologram. The Jedi will use that information to destroy Count Dooku's foundry. Your mission was a success." and it was. I was so proud of what she had done. Even if she did blackout again and found herself in loads of trouble, she always did her part.
"But I made you doubt me." her eyes hung low. I sighed, "Never."

The Blood Queen
The rain fell from the sky with ferocity and smashed into the pavement filling the air with the sound of a stampede. The noise was deafening as I struggled to stand up. The blood from my wound was covering the ground beneath me and I covered it with my hand as I pushed off the pavement. On my feet now I struggled to step towards the grass. Through the howling wind and pounding raindrops I could hear what sounded like a chant, calling me and drawing me towards the cliffs edge. "Vienna, my Queen, my blood Queen" I started to move my feet faster until I could run towards the edge. Only when I was at the edge did I turn and look back one last time at the castle behind me. I could see him standing on the balcony, he was screaming my name. I could just hear it over the rain. I unclipped my red cape and whispered goodbye to him. As he jumped off the balcony to run towards me I leaned backwards and let my body fall with the rushing water to the river far down below. I carried her whispers with me to the dark edge until they vanished.
