《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 69: Ahsoka's Dreams

In a matter of minutes, Master Yoda had ordered Anakin to go to the Balith System. There was a large war at hand, and they needed help from the Republic. He needed to leave immediately to command the Third Legion.
"I'll be back soon, my love." He caressed the sides of my cheeks with his hands when he gently laid a kiss on my lips. Pulling away was one of the most challenging moments, and I never looked forward to this part. He always left, and I never knew when he would be back, that was unless I asked, but asking too many times would be suspicious.
"Please be careful." I specified.
"Always." He closed the door behind him, and my body plummeted onto the couch. There was so much time in the world, but yet, there was nothing to do but wait for my next orders.
That night, I fell asleep next to an empty bed. My eyes started to drift into a deep sleep when Anakin appeared on the hologram. "Hey there, sleepyhead." he chuckled. I turned my body over to look at the holonet that was on the bedside table.
"Hey there." I smiled in his direction.
"How was the rest of your day?" He asked. I sighed in response; I could tell him it was boring or make something up. "You know, fun stuff," I mumbled. However, he knew I was lying. "I promise I'll get back as soon as I can."
His smile alone was the comfort I needed. I reached out my hand to touch his, but quickly he disappeared in a moment. He was gone so fast.
The following day was a blur; the sky was a bright orange that cast over the city. I inhaled softly, wandering my eyes across the whole room. Yup, here comes day one. Bail Organa, including Padme, had invited me to another leading conference, one Padme would speak in. Seeming as though I am still part of the Naberrie family and had a "great" role in politics, I was requested at her side.
I changed into my regular robes and placed my lightsaber into my belt. It was about eight in the morning when C3PO began to sing his usual daily songs.
"Ah, Master Amidala. Padawan Ahsoka Tano is here to see you." C3PO shouted. I quickly dropped the cup of tea onto the table counter. How did she find out about this place? My mind wandered to many thoughts as I see her figure walk into the living room.
"Master Amidala." Her head hung down low. Even though I was surprised, I hadn't seen Ahsoka in a long time. She was growing into a far better Jedi than most of the Masters on the council. "Ahsoka, it's so good to see you," I shouted quietly.

My hands wrapped around her tiny body, taking her into a hug. "How have you been?" I asked immediately. From the rumors I had heard, well from Anakin, she was off doing many good things. Including killing Aurra Sings.
"Honestly, I've been better. I'm worried for you, Master. I sense you are in grave danger." Her voice was a nervous wreck.
Grave danger? What kind of threat could I possibly be in. I had just gotten to Coruscant, and now I'm in grave danger?
"What makes you believe that?" I asked, intrigued.
"I've been having dreams... bad dreams. Y/n, I know you're in danger. I know it." she stuttered a few times.
"What kind of danger?" I stared into her eyes that glow intensely. Somehow, I believed her, but I would have felt it through the force.
"I believe that a very dangerous bounty hunter is out to assassinate you," Ahsoka responded.
"This is troubling. 3PO, take all the necessary precautions." I sighed, grabbing the luggage I had prepared the night before. "Wait, you're leaving?" Ahsoka's voice was full of concern. "Yes, Padme and I are leading a conference concerning the refugees from the war. I leave for Alderaan in the morning." I answered back.
"But the threat to your life..." her eyes wandered into mine. If it were true, I knew I was strong enough to handle a bounty hunter, and this was too important to ignore over some dream.
"Ahsoka, the refugee situation is much too crucial to ignore. Padme called this conference and had informed the Senate of my presence. It could make an enormous difference in policy. It's vital that I go." I placed my finger upon her chin, easing her comfort. "Yes, Master." She sighed.

"Padme!" I yelled. It has been a while since I saw her lovely face. She was boarding her ship along with C3PO and the rest of her friends. "y/n!" She yelled, turning around in an instance. A smile appeared on her face as I took her in for a big hug.
"How have you been? I heard so much about your recent adventures!" she cheered on. Her hands placed themselves on the sides of my shoulders. "I've been excellent; Master Windu has me going on more missions, and Zander, well, he's still following Master Yoda around." A weak smile formed on my cheeks. I was pretty sad Zander hasn't been around. Lately, it seems he wasn't my Padawan at all.
"Well, I think-" Padme began to speak but was interrupted by Ahsoka's scream from a distance. My eyes shot right to her body as she frantically ran in our direction. "Master!"
"Ahsoka, what is it?" I asked. She seemed frightened but most of all anxious. This had to be about her nightmares, the visions. "I can't just stay behind knowing about the threat to your life. Allow me to come with you, please." she insisted; she grabbed onto my hands tightly, begging.

"Well, I supposed it couldn't hurt. Besides, I enjoy your company. Of course, you can join us as extra security." I hugged her from the side, bringing her on the ship. "Thank you, Master." she smiled.
The ride to Alderaan was long and tedious. Ahsoka and I found ourselves playing board games on the holonet for what seemed like hours. The whole time she seemed sad and worried, and I knew what was troubling her. Her dreams were keeping her up, and I remembered the time I had some of my own.
They kept me up every night. The voices and whispers made my body freeze in an instance every time it crept close. Ahsoka placed her head between her knees; her mind was lost in her thoughts. "You'll learn to play in time, Ahsoka. Someday you'll even beat me." I turned off the holonet. We had played this game, and even if I won most of the time, she placed no effort into playing.
She scoffed, nodding her head, "It's not that."
"What's on your mind?" I asked. This was the right time to ask what she had been so worried about. Too concerned she wasn't even herself anymore.
"I've been mostly unsure about my abilities on my own. Usually, Master Skywalker is there to guide me." she sighed, placing her head onto the holonet defeated. "When I was a Padawan, I felt the same insecurities as you do now. I had my Master, but it was ultimately up to me to determine my path, and I was terrified at times." I placed myself next to her body, giving her a hug in comfort.
Her eyes peered wide open, amazed that I had also felt the same way she did now. "Really? You felt unsure?" She asked, surprised.
I chuckled, amused she found me, brave and well put together. "Oh, yes. But I've learned to trust in myself as you will too."
"Thank you. One more game?" Ashoka's headshot upwards. This was the Padawan I knew, and I was glad to see her more comfortable and cheerful. "Absolutely." I placed myself back at the other end of the table, setting the holonet up again.
This time Ahsoka managed to beat me about four times, and I was glad she managed to get back on her feet.
"Master, may I say something?" Ahsoka asked as we were getting ready to head to bed.
"Yes? and call me Y/n." I smiled, leaning against the door that led me into my bedroom. Ahsoka and I had rooms across from each other.
"Master Skywalker and you, well, you seem very good together." She smiled weakly. I raised an eyebrow, surprised at her comment. Good together? What was that supposed to mean? Did she know?
"I mean in wartime. You guys hold yourself together," she added. Her nerves were making mine spike. I forced a small chuckle before heading inside, closing the door behind me to ease the tension. Was it that noticeable? Even if Anakin and I weren't always together, Ahsoka saw how we communicated, and that made me worry about the other Jedi who saw the same.
I couldn't tell the time, but I knew it was nighttime. I was afraid to have the same devastating nightmares I had had every time I closed my eyes. To see the awful and terrible visions of Y/n getting shot.
I took a deep breath getting underneath the bedsheets. It was cold, and usually, space was freezing. Though I felt my skin spike up, and I knew what was about to happen. I could foresee it even before it happened. Falling asleep, I had another terrible dream.
Aurra Sings had done her part, and on the floor lied Y/n dead. She had been shot, and I was far in the distance, nowhere near her. Master Skywalker was so close to her, and she was a dear friend. I couldn't let anything happen to her. Yet, in my dreams, it seemed I was never able to stop it in time.
"It's begun," Aurra whispered into my ear, waking me up in a whole gasp. I had a terrible time catching my breath but quickly got up to check on Y/n. I ran into the hallway spooking the guards that stood covering Padme's door.
"The assassin's inside!" I yelled. I opened Y/n's door in a quickie, jumping onto her bed as I ignited my green saber preparing for Aurra to jump out from the shadows of her room. "Ahsoka." she sat up from her bed. Her face was pale and nervous, "Stay down." I commented. I checked the whole room and even the vents, but there was nothing yet.
"What's going on?" Padme ran into the room quickly. My eyes wandered the entire area, but there was nothing in sight to see. "Nothing. False alarm. Forgive me, Master." I mumbled. I was embarrassed for what had just happened. All their eyes laid upon me, looking at me as if I were crazy, and I felt mad.
"Are you all right, y/n?" Padme asked her sister. Their conversation was in the distance, but I knew they probably thought I was crazy, especially Master Amidala. I knew my dreams and visions meant something; I didn't know what they meant yet.
