《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 70: Aurra

Landing in Alderaan was nothing as I expected. Bail Organa was fascinated to see Padme and me. It was usually all about Padme whenever we were close to other Senators. This time I was included in the greeting.

"Bail, it's so good to see you. Thank you so much for hosting this conference. Dealing with the refugees of this war needs to be our number one priority. We are also honored to have General Amidala." Padme voiced. She spoke in her regular senator voice that always seemed so elegant and well put together.

"Absolutely. Your presence, as well as Y/n's, is greatly appreciated. Come. Senator Mothma and I will take you to your quarters." Bail Organa held his hand out, leading us towards the massive buildings.

This senator was different from the others; his walls themed in a galactic scientistic way. Different from Satine, who was most elegant and well bright gold. Padme was assigned her room where all the senators had found themselves in. At the same time, I had a room all to myself, away from the politics.

"Master, might I have a word with you in private?" Ahsoka mumbled. She had entered the room with her head hung low once again. It had to be another one of her visions. "Of course, Ahsoka." I patted the seat next to the place I was sitting in.

"I know I made a mistake last night. But that doesn't mean the threat to you is any less," she whispered.

"I haven't lost faith in you, Ahsoka."

"I know. And I appreciate that." She mumbled.

"I don't mean to interject, but now is not the time for this. Senator Amidala must prepare for her summit, and Y/n is needed at her side." Typho walked in; his orders were firm and clear.

"But I believe the attempt on your life is going to happen tonight," Ahsoka added.

"Why tonight?" I asked. I had no part but to stand next to Padme. What important role did I have tonight?

"I had another vision, and it was much clearer. I could see more than usual, even a location. It was a large room. Padme was giving her speech, and you stood beside her." She informed me.

"This room, could you recognize it if you saw it?" Typho asked.

"Yes, I think I could."

We insisted on taking Ahsoka into the room where her visions had led her. It was a spacious room, with rows of chairs the members of the senate would eventually sit in. "So does anything look familiar?" Bail asked.

Ahsoka's eyes wandered the entire room until they reached a halt. "Yes. This is it. This is the place I saw in my vision." Ahsoka answered.

"Where would the assassin be?" I questioned. Maybe the vents or the corner of the room; I had no idea where Aurra would present herself and when. "That's the part I'm not sure of."

We were already taking all the necessary precautions. However, in Ahsoka's dream, Aurra didn't seem to finish her job. Not that it was a hundred percent guaranteed. We still had a fighting chance, and I wasn't going to back down yet. I was a Jedi, and I could easily deflect a blaster shot.

"Isn't it just beautiful?" I asked. I leaned against the edge, looking downwards to the mountains that piled with snow. "Yes. But I really must insist you go back inside. It's not safe for you out here." My eyes were deeply closed.

I wasn't afraid of a bounty hunter, and I wasn't about to stop living my life. "Ahsoka, I can't stop living my life. You forget I am a Jedi as well. I'm no stranger to taking risks." I pleaded my case. Though, she seemed hurt. She faced her body the complete opposite way from mine, her body leaning against the concrete. "What is it?" I asked. I didn't mean to hurt her feelings, but I was sure I could handle myself.

"I'm confused. My visions are telling me one thing, but reality is telling me another. I don't know which to believe anymore. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe no one's out to kill you." Ahsoka sighed, and her head rested on her hands.

I didn't say anything at all but let the silence talk over. The young Padawan leaned against the wall watching the snow fall gently over the building beneath.

It was time for the conference, and I sat beside Padme as all the other senate members sat in their designated spot. I hardly paid any attention to anyone's speech; my eyes just wandered onto the vents and corners of the room. Too focused to catch anything out of the ordinary.

That was until Padme had called onto me to give a somewhat brief speech I had no entail of. I coughed, standing up from my seat, thinking fastly on what to say. "I want to first thank everyone for coming. This is a cause that is very important to not only me but to Padme and Senator Organa. After the illegal blockade of my homeworld, Naboo, I can remember how many lives were thrown into chaos by the Trade Federation. But let us examine the cost of that conflict..." I spoke.

The entire room had their eyes on me, and I had to admit I was nervous. I was placed on the spot, and recollecting those old memories that were both fascinating and scary, wasn't what I signed up for. I took a deep breath continuing my speech. I had forgotten all about Ahsoka's vision; I had been so focused on the past I had forgotten the present.

"...the life of Qui-Gon Jinn was lost. And yet now I find myself a party to and witness of a full-scale war that had divided our great Republic in two. Already, more than 100 Jedi have given their lives-" as the words escaped my lips, a soft breeze passed my left shoulder, knocking me onto the ground. The gasps of the audience were magnifying and reality set back into place.

"Get a medical droid. We need a medic!" Padme shouted. She kneeled her hand tightly wrapping around mine. I felt fine, but obviously, everyone thought it wrong. I should have known that a blaster shot was coming, yet I had no idea. Had I gone so far from the Force?

Immediately Bail Organa had picked up my body, rushing me into the medic room. Their eyes wandered onto my left shoulder, shocked at the injury. I felt no pain at all, but the blaster shot made a fresh wound, according to the medic droid.

I was bandaged up and made to lay down in my room. They treated me as I couldn't hold my own, and I was tired of it.

I got up from the bed, aching in an instance.

"Y/n, I'm sorry." Ahsoka entered my room, following Padme behind. The small Padawan hung her head down low again.

"For what, Ahsoka? You did all you could. As for myself, I should have been aware of my surroundings." I sighed. I had found out the person behind the gun was indeed Aurra Sings and that she had gotten away with the crime.

I felt the hatred and frustration I had tried so hard to push away. However, the level of frustration I felt at the moment was massive. My mind felt so complicated and heavy; I had no idea what had been going on.

Ahsoka planned to send out one of Padme's female guards to take my place while I was still hidden in my room. The plan seemed stupid but I followed anyway. This time, I wasn't about to get into my head. I didn't want to think of that past and how many Naboo lives, including Master Jedi Qui-Gon, had been killed.

Or the fear I had when my eyes laid upon Darth Maul's golden yellow eyes. A sith, the first one I had ever seen and was afraid of.

I took a deep breath, grabbing the mic in one hand, "And if you strike my voice down, know that a chorus of thousands shall rise in its place, for you have no dominion over the righteous. We are the defenders of truth." I halted immediately. The chills in my heart grew more intense than ever.

My eyes darted into the direction of my saber that was located onto my dresser. Aurra was in the vents, pointing her gun onto my head.

Quickly in one swift movement. I reached out to my saber, not minding the ache my arm was severely having and deflected the blaster. I then opened the vent, forcing Aurra out of from within using the Force.

I had felt so frustrated, I didn't notice Aurra's grunts until I found myself using the Force to choke her.

"Stand down, Aurra!" I shouted; dropping her onto the ground. She panted for air that I had taken away.

"Oh honey, the party has just begun." She laughed chillingly. I had no idea what she even wanted with me. Aurra and I never met or talked at all, so what was the main reason behind all this. I was so confused at the moment.

"What do you want with me?" I demanded.

"Revenge." Aurra pulled out her other blaster, frantically shooting in almost every direction. My saber wasn't enough. One of her blasts had made it onto my hands, knocking it onto the ground.

My body hit the ground for cover; the blasts marked the walls that were above my head. "What do I do now?" I wondered. My lightsaber laid in the middle of the room, but then seemingly so, my eyes laid onto Padme's blaster.

"Bingo," I whispered. Using the Force, I reached out, grabbing it into my hands. So quick and sudden, I had stunned Aurra before my head popped up from above the bed.

The guards had quickly run in afterward, taking Aurra into handcuffs.

"Oh, thank goodness you're okay!" Padme ran into the room, hugging me tightly as I stood up. "Ouch, that hurt." I groaned when her arms tightly squeezed my shoulder. "Let's get you home." Her voice was so soft and calming; this was the first of many annoyingly stupid conversations we had that she had been so caring.

Heading back to Coruscant wasn't as bad as I thought. The ride was pleasing, and I was mostly asleep. When we had arrived, it was barely morning, and the sun shined so brightly on the city buildings.

My mind wondered if Ahsoka had told Anakin about the whole incident. But thinking about it a little more closely, the boy would have rushed to Alderaan on the first ship he had his hands on. And the way Ahsoka seemed frightened, she must have thought telling him would turn him in a wild chase.

When the ships of the doors opened, my eyes directly went onto Anakin's face. He had a wide smile that seemed to disappear in an instant. I was still bandaged up.

"Are you alright?" Anakin paced in my direction. His brows furrowed themselves, and the way his chest seemed to stop beating was his nerves kicking up. "Without Ahsoka's foresight, I think I would have been dead," I mumbled the last part.

His lips slightly parted, I knew he wanted to say more, but Master Yoda was standing right beside him. "Serve you well; your visions have, young Padawan." Yoda directed his words to Ahsoka.

Without her vision, I would be lying dead on the medic table. The person behind the blaster might have been Aurra, but she was hired. I didn't know who was behind the payment. Though when Ahsoka was asked to focus back on her visions, the only things she could see were shapes, figures, and sounds of laughter that were distorted.

Ziro. It was Ziro that had hired Aurra. Revenge was what he wanted but failed to do so.
