《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 102: On the Run

"Anakin, please trust me," I whispered under my breath. I scooped my surroundings quickly, making out any face nearby. "I can't leave without the files Clovis and I took from the vault," I added. I hoped that maybe he reached a point where he could think about the seriousness of the situation instead of making out every bad thing about Clovis.
"Where do you suggest we look?" Anakin sighed, peering over the right side of his shoulder and looking in my direction.
We were walking in the direction of his ship, which surprisingly hadn't been destroyed... yet.
I took a brief moment of silence, wondering where the files might be when my head only went to one place.
"The discs may be outside the city at Clovis' private residence." I lowered my voice at the last part. The intensity in Anakin's body picked up once more, but quickly he relaxed. "Fine," he mumbled.
"I'll do this for you, not for Clovis."
His right hand found itself back onto my lower back. It brought me comfort that I was so used to. "R2," he began lifting his left arm towards his mouth. The droid voiced back; he was seen in the far distance, next to the entrance of his ship. "Have the ship ready in case I need you," Anakin added. He guided us into a small carrier we would use to fly ourselves to Clovis' residence.
I grabbed the bars onto the side of the carrier, seeing Anakin place himself in the very front. He, of course, made himself helpful in driving. I couldn't help but feel a bit guilty knowing precisely the direction to head into.
We drove a few, passing the many mountains that lead to his residence.
"Over there," I pointed in the far distance.
Clovis seemed to be like he wasn't home. His ship wasn't outside, and the way his residence looked, it seemed pretty empty. I only hoped the drive was somewhere located inside.
Anakin boarded our small shuttle quickly as I saw his eyes peer around. The annoyance in his attitude was more significant than ever.
We walked side by side until we arrived at the front entrance. The doors easily slid up, and we stepped inside. It was as comfortable as the first time I ever went inside. It was cold and not in the slightest way cozy. It was dark, and the outside light didn't do any good for the inside.
"Cozy place." Anakin scoffed. His hands folded themselves as my eyes always pondered the entire living room area. The chairs and decorations of the place have been trampled with. It was a colossal disaster.
"Someone was looking for the files." I sighed. The situation couldn't get even better. Without the files, all of this was for nothing.
"They must know Clovis had them." I shook my head in denial. I walked to the left side of the room, making my way towards the couches I had sat on a couple of days ago.

"Well, maybe they found what they were looking for, and that's why he's missing," Anakin replied.
"We can only hope." He added, chuckling at the end. I rolled my eyes, annoyed he found satisfaction in the situation. He followed in my footsteps, making our way down the railings.
"Anakin, you're not helping things." I stopped halfway and turned around to face his body. My eyes stared into his dreamy blue eyes. They were so distracting, not to mention the way his curly brown hair fell onto his face. I smiled weakly before diverting my attention back onto the situation at hand.
"You don't seem to understand how important these files are. They'll expose the corruption that goes to the very core of the Banking Clan." I continued and headed back down the railing. Before turning the corner of the railing, a figure popped up from the dark corner of the living room; it was Clovis.
I had to admit; my heart jumped at the appearance of the man. Not in any way romantic, but knowing he was still around meant he had some information of the files in hand.
"Clovis!" I slightly shouted. His eyes made contact with mine until he looked beside me to find out Anakin was standing right there.
"Y/n!" he shouted back, nevertheless.
Clovis's body made its way to mine in a rush.
"I knew you'd come." He added, his arms opened up quickly. He was ready to come in for a hug; quickly, my arms stopped his body. A quick panic rose upon me; I looked up and behind to see Anakin's reaction. His jaw was clenched and tight as if the words about to slip from his mouth weren't the most civilized.
"You again?" Clovis preached. His tone was ghastly, a snark on his face disgusted to find himself near Anakin again.
"Yes, me again. All right, lover boy, where's the discs?" Anakin didn't hesitate. His tall body moved towards Clovis hovering over mine. The tension quickly built up.
"I'm not about to hand over the information to some pilot," Clovis spit out harshly. I felt the energy from Anakin bounce off his body.
"I'm a Jedi Knight who can save your life if you hand over the files," Anakin replied, jeered. His pointer finger came in contact with Clovis's left shoulder. Slightly, his finger pushed him back. "So what's it going to be? You're going to give us the disc?" Anakin asked in a threatening tone.
Clovis's green eyes peered into mine before he rolled his eyes.
"What, so you can leave me stranded like last time?" he scoffed. He passed our bodies going back up the railing.
"Well, that depends on how well-behaved you are," Anakin replied. I let out an exhausting grunt, tired of their bickering. They argued like small children who didn't get their way. I quickly walked in front of them, stopping them in their steps.
"Can you both stop bickering so we can get out of here?" I yelled. I looked at both of them intensely, mostly landing my eyes on Anis. He knew better than to start an argument.I gave him a look, almost like a warning, and he took it. It seemed to do the trick; we continued walking back to the gate entrance when I felt that cold shiver.

I looked back to see Anakin had the same reaction as I did.
"Get down!" Anakin shouted as his blue lightsaber illuminated the darkroom. Blaster shots from the outside quickly made their way inside. The large glass panels rapidly shattered and in came the cold air. I looked behind to find Clovis on the ground. "Get up, hurry," I shouted. Instead, he crawled.
I rolled my eyes and quickly ran over to the door's front entrance covering my body with a column. The two caught up, standing side by side with one another. A rare occurrence that would not last long. "Thanks," Clovis commented.
"It wasn't you I wanted to save," Anakin replied.
I sighed softly. So much for our rare occurrence.
"Anakin, just get us out of here," I rolled my eyes.
"Follow me." He responded. The doors quickly slid up, and our small cruiser was a few feet away. Dammit, why did Clovis think it was a brilliant idea to make his boarding dock feet away from his home.
"Run for it!" Ani yelled, pointing to the shuttle ship. I nodded and made my run for it. More and more shots flew right through our faces. Luckily, I sensed all of them dodging them as they made their way. As for Clovis, well, looking back, he laid on the floor most of the time.
Barking came from behind us; a large Marrok was released. Oh please, could things get much worse?
I made my way towards the shuttle, hopping onto it quickly and turning every control needed to operate it. I lifted it, knowing Anakin could easily jump on board which he did.
As soon as the small shuttle ship took flight, the back pipe of the ship went out, and we were now falling to the ground feet below. Our ship had become a snowboard.
"R2, bring the ship around and pick us up," Anakin yelled into his intercom.
I peered over my shoulder, not recognizing the face that was chasing us. "Keep your eyes on the road!" Anakin yelled. I had forgotten the person driving this was me.
Ice cylinders came rushing from the top of our heads. My lips slowly parted themselves in disbelief. I managed to take my hands off the wheels for the couple seconds of free time I had and used the force to move the ice that would gash the top of our heads. I noticed Anakin had done the same.
I didn't know exactly where I was steering us into, but that didn't stop whoever was behind us."Watch out!" Clovis yelled; the clouds of snow made it impossible to figure out a way out, but the force helped incredibly. Just like Master Windu said, "Let the force guide you," so with that, I closed my eyes, following what felt right.
His advice worked only when I opened back my eyes; the ship was heading directly into a giant mountain of snow. There are two options for making it out; it was either to turn left or turn right, but it didn't matter; this shuttle didn't take quick turns. We were heading straight into an ice-death.
"Anakin!" I yelled, approaching the ice wall at a quick pace.
His eyes glanced to the front, seeing exactly what I was screaming at. " Take cover, Y/N!" he shouted. He took out his saber, stabbing it into the ice wall on our right, making the shuttle turn left. His action left piles of snowfall behind our ship.
"Did we lose him?" I asked, seeing that there was no one behind us anymore.
Just as I had figured, I spoke too soon. The man appeared from the corner of my eyes, only to find him right in front of our faces. I didn't have enough time to react as one blaster shot had made its way towards my arm, knocking me down on the floor of the shuttle.
I gasped at the pain. A slight hiss escaped my lips as I touched my wound. Fortunately, it was just a graze: "I'm alright." I commented as the worriedness on both their faces appeared. I swallowed thickly, forcing my body to stand once, but quickly, Anakin had stepped forward, taking the wheel and defense.
Anakin dodged every blaster shot coming forth onto his face. It was impressive to watch, even so, as a fellow friend had managed to face itself towards us, Anakin used only one hand pushing our enemy into the far distance.
"R2, hone in on my signal." He voiced into his intercom.
From the looks of it, we were reaching a ledge. I stood up, managing to get my balance using the bars on the side. I didn't see Anakin's ship anywhere.
"R2?" Anakin questioned in desperation. We were reaching the end, and our shuttle wasn't about to slow down anytime soon.
As we reached the fine end, I took Clovis' body into my arms. I jumped, not knowing where in the world I would land, but seemingly, we landed on hard metal. The right side of my stomach landed onto Clovis' chest, thankful I didn't take any severe damage. Of course, now Clovis had the weight of my body onto his. "Sorry," I chuckled, embarrassed as Clovis caught his breath. "No problem," he grunted, sitting to his knees.
"Hey! Nice catch, R2!" Anakin chuckled as he landed on both feet. His body came towards mine, helping me slowly from the ground.
Oh, I was excited to hear about Padme's disagreements in the whole ordeal. Even Senator business was as dangerous as Jedi business.
