《Chosen (Lloyd X Reader)》The Snake King

When everything finally makes sense, Destiny loves to throw something in the way of it. It can either build up someone or destroy them entirely. The only way to truly know what happens lies within the person.
~
I sit on the balcony of the Bounty, the ship flying through the clouds. It feels great sitting up here. Feeling the wind through my hair, feeling my nerves calm down, and close my eyes. Now, this is perfect. I smile softly before it's interrupted by loud panting. I open my eyes, seeing the Postman flying on a bicycle with wings?! Alright, didn't know that was possible but that's amazing
The Postman shouts out to me, "Wait! Slow down! I have a package for Sensei Wu!"
My eyes widen, knowing he's never going to reach us at this rate. I wave my arms in the sky. "Just throwing it to me! I'll catch it, I promise!"
He hesitates for a moment before deciding to throw it at me. I manage to catch it as I fall back from the balcony. I let out a soft grunt noise, waving the package up signaling I have it. He lets out a soft sigh of relief, heading down to the ground.
I get up from the ground, heading to the dining room. I wonder what Zane is cooking today. He always cooks the best breakfast. I walk into the room, sitting next to Lloyd. I slide over the box to Sensei, deciding to hear the conversation between the boys.
"First, I'll stomp on his tail. Then when he turns, a thunderclap to his ears. Then when he's stunned, I'll disarm him."
I giggle. At least he's trying his best.
Cole responds smiling, "Too late, they already hypnotized you and now you're under his control."
"Or 's already put you in a squeeze," Zane adds on.
"Or spit on you with hallucinatory. Trust me, bad stuff," Kai says sighing.
"It's okay Lloyd. I'll teach you some fighting moves later."
The young boy groans in annoyance, "Uncle, what's the best way to stun a Serpentine if you don't know what kind they are?"
Sensei Wu sighs disappointedly. "Sadly, it was the flute carelessly lost."
"Hey, no, no, no, we didn't lose it. Pythor stole it," Jay says trying to defend us. Quite badly might I add.
"Whatever the case, without it I fear we have nothing to combat their powers. We may have prevented them from uniting in the past, but they will try again, and one day they will be stronger." Sensei Wu shakes his head.
"We may not be able to prevent it, but we are going to protect Ninjago, that's for sure." I smile.
Cole cockily smiles. "Don't worry. I've almost reached my full potential, and when I become the Green Ninja, we're not gonna need any magic flute."
Damn it. Not this again.
"You're gonna be the Green Ninja? Hahaha, don't make me laugh." Kai mocks.
Zane shakes his head. "I thought it was decided that I was destined to become the Green Ninja."
"Oh! The only thing decided about you, Zane, is that you're weird," Jay says to his brother.
They all start arguing over who's going to be the Green Ninja and let's just say, I'm done with their arguing. It's too early for this. Especially about this whole thing about the Green Ninja.
"Enough! None of you are going to be the Green Ninja if you all keep on arguing like this! It's too for this crap!"
They all stop arguing, surprised over my outburst. They all murmur their apologies before sitting back down. Nya smiles at how easily I'm able to calm the four down. Not even Sensei Wu is able to do that.
Lloyd, of course not caring about what just happened, walks over to his uncle, wondering what's inside the box. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. What's in the box?"
"Your new uniforms," Sensei says as the boys gasp. I knew the boys would be excited over it, and I was excited at first. Now, not so much. Something just feels strange about getting a new gi.
He passes out the boxes, holding our new uniforms, to us. The boys excitedly open the boxes, in awe over the new uniforms.
I stare at the box in front of me, not knowing if I should open it or not. It looks way too nice, even for me. Sure, at the moment of the order, it was all exciting since this was before we even met Lloyd! But now, ever since all those feelings arose, it just doesn't feel like I deserve it. Something just doesn't feel right.
Lloyd notices my hesitance, giving me a nudge. I look at him as he gives me a smile. "You deserve it."
I sigh before smiling at him as I open the box, revealing my brand new gi. I stare at it in awe. Every fiber is so perfectly woven together crafted to protect me from even the toughest of situations. Armor has even been sewn in as well.
"It's perfect heh..."
Lloyd smiles at my reaction before walking over to Sensei Wu, hoping there's something in there for him. His face drops in disappointment, seeing nothing but an empty box.
"Oh, nothing for me?"
Sensei Wu smiles. "Do not worry Nephew. I got you something as well." He pulls out a black cape having accents of green and gold on it. Lloyd smiles brightly as he grabs it and quickly puts it on.
"It's amazing Uncle! Thank you!" He hugs his uncle, extremely excited about it.
"Don't thank me, Lloyd, it was all y/n's idea. When she helped me ordering the gis, she suggested getting something for you and Nya. It was a good idea."
Both of their eyes widen, not expecting to actually get something. They both smile, not realizing I had this side of me. I blush slightly at their reactions.
Lloyd tackles me in a hug, both of us falling back from the chair I was sitting on, taking me by complete surprise. "Thank you so much y/n!"
I hesitate for a moment before hugging him back. Something in my stomach feels strange hugging him back. Must be the food settling.
Nya smiles brightly, seeing the brand new dress. Mesmerized by it, to say the least. "Woah... this is amazing. Heh, thank you, both of you."
We all smile. Something about this moment just feels right. My brothers getting new gis they deserve. Nya finally getting a cute outfit to wear, maybe even for a date with Jay hehe. And... being hugged by Lloyd. This is perfect.
That's when the stupid alarm goes off, gaining our attention, and ruining the moment. We all quickly run to the bridge, seeing a cluster of snakes on the map.
"Sorry to break up the moment, boys, but a small faction of our slithering friends are stirring up trouble at Mega Monster Amusement Park," Cole says seriously.
"Mega Monster A-Amusement Park? What is that?" I ask curiously. Jeez, this is what I get for not leaving the Monastery. I should've learned about it somehow though...

"You don't know what Mega Monster Amusement Park?!" Lloyd shouts out in horror to me. I nervously shake my head. "We have to go then! I have to go!" He turns to the rest of the ninja, then to his uncle. "Can I go?! Can I go with you, please?! Let me make things up! I can help!" Lloyd begs.
Sensei Wu shakes his head. "I'm sorry, nephew. You will stay here, where it's safe."
The young boy pouts in disappointment. "Oh, ninja get all the fun."
"I don't. I'm stuck with idiots."
"What do you say, guys? Time to try out the new merchandise?" Jay turns to us.
~
I look at myself in the mirror, seeing my brand new gi in its full glory. Something about it just feels pretty right but, also strange... But, the silver accents and armor just tie the entire outfit together. I pull out my fans, admiring everything now. I let myself smile as I push my hair back. I put on my mask, getting serious. Mission time.
I quickly head outside to join everyone, smiling at them. "Nice gis guys."
Cole smiles. "Thanks, Y/n. You look pretty great too. All right. This new stuff feels like it'll really protect us."
"Yet, provides more mobility," Zane adds on.
"You wanna strut your stuff on the catwalk, or get down to that amusement park so we can go on some rides?" Jay asks.
"I love a good old-fashioned roller coaster, but nothing beats this," Kai says as we all nod in agreement.
"I don't know what a roller coaster is but yeah! Skydiving is awesome!" I shout out smiling, tackling Jay as we both fall off the Bounty. "See you, nerds, at the bottom!"
Jay screams while I laugh as we fall faster and faster. Luckily for both of us, he summons his jet in time. The three still on the ship let out a sigh of relief when seeing the jet appear.
"She's crazy, right? It's not just me?"
"You would be correct Cole," Zane says disappointedly.
They jump off as well, summoning their vehicles halfway through the fall. We land on the ground outside of the Amusement Park, of course, Jay and I were the first ones to land. Jay breathes heavily, trying to calm down. "Never do that again y/n!"
"Sorry, not sorry!" I giggle.
The boys shake their heads as we run inside the park. The minute I set foot inside of the place, however, I'm just mesmerized by all of the rides, games, and snacks. It just all looks so fun! How did I not know about this?! I-
Damn Jay snapping me from my thoughts.
"Haha! Check that out. And not a scratch on me." Cole smiles, looking at himself.
Jay walks up to a crowd of people, acting very cocky. "Haha, ladies, relax, relax, we have arrived."
My brothers are idiots, that's for sure.
The people move away, revealing the snakes all tied up. Our eyes widen at the sight, wondering who could've done this.
"Uh, what just happened?" Kai asks.
"Oh, you totally missed it. There were like, icky snakes, and then this mysterious Samurai came in and saved everyone," One woman responds.
Another interrupts, "He was, like, gorgeous."
"You saw his face?" Kai questions.
The first woman responds once more. "No, but we could totally tell."
We're left puzzled by everything. Never in our ninja lives has this ever happened before. This is strange...
Jay notices Nya walking up to us, eating cotton candy. "Nya, you're here."
Nya smiles. "Yeah, you just missed all the action. He just flew in, took care of business, and then flew off. It was pretty cool." She then walks off, probably to enjoy the Amusement Park.
"Ugh, who is this guy?" Kai groans in annoyance.
Cole shakes his head. "Whoever he is, he's stealing our thunder."
"And we just got these cool new ninja suits. Argh! I'm gonna say it: I hate Samurai," Jay says angrily.
"Well, at least we get a break from fighting for a bit. It's nice knowing we're not the only ones protecting Ninjago."
Sensei Wu appears out of nowhere, eating some cotton candy. "Do I hear a hint of jealousy? Maybe this can be a lesson for you."
Jay groans. "Oh! Not another lesson. Hey, how'd you get here so quick?"
"The lesson is iron sharpens iron." Sensei Wu smiles.
Zane is left confused by his words. "I do not follow, Sensei."
The old man smiles. "Healthy competition can help you reach your True Potential faster. Do not be jealous of this Samurai, let it inspire you. Oh, Ferris wheel!" He quickly starts running towards the ride. Never seen him run so fast for something so... fun. Sensei Wu likes fun?!
"Inspire?" Jay asks curiously.
"Wait a minute. Maybe the old man's right," Kai says, seemingly having an idea.
"Don't you start, Smith. This is not the time to start an unnecessary fight!"
Cole ignores me, turning to Kai. "You want us to compete with the Samurai? He's got all the cool gadgets, we don't stand a chance."
"No, not with him. With us. I say we turn this into our own competition. Whichever of us is skilled enough to catch this mysterious Samurai is probably the best of the bunch."
Jay catches onto what he's saying, smiling. "So whoever learns the identity of this Samurai is the one who will become the destined Green Ninja. Ha! I love it."
"Then it's a bet. May the Green Ninja win!" Cole shouts to his brothers.
Damn it.
Why is Lloyd on the ship?! He could've been shown me around!
This sucks!
~
Of course, I was dragged into this stupid idea because somehow now I'm involved with this prophecy of the Green Ninja. The last time I checked, I wasn't even in the damn scroll. Yeah, my brothers are idiots.
Now I'm forced to stand in the middle of the Desert, wearing a girly dress, and having snakes attack me. Still, don't know where Jay even got this dress for me. I sigh in annoyance, the snakes try to hurt me or something. I don't know anymore, these snakes sure are weak. I glare at my brothers, hiding behind a sand dune, "Do I really gotta do this?"
"Yes y/n! Just do It!" Kai hisses.
I groan as I dodge an incoming attack. I suck it up because I won't be leaving any time soon. Guess I'm going to have to sell this bit then. "Oh, dear! Look at me! Completely helpless!" I punch a Fangpyre in the face. "Whatever shall I do?!"
Finally, the Samurai shows up and swiftly takes down all of the snakes. I quickly look up, seeing someone inside. I manage to catch a glimpse of them as my eyes widen. But, before I get to confirm anything, they quickly fly away.
I look back at the ninja with a bored expression. "Are we done yet? I want to take a shower! I touched a snake for Spinjitzu's sake!"
~
Kai drops Lloyd and me in front of an arcade, way more focused on finding out who the Samurai is as he hands me some money. He knows I'm way more responsible with it.
"Okay, I know it's my turn to look after you, but just play a few games and stay put while I look around. I have a feeling the Samurai may show up. Besides, since y/n doesn't have a vehicle, she can take of you."
"Hmpf, apparently a kid owning a vehicle isn't "legal" or whatever. I really wish I had one though. Someone needs to build me one."
"Oh, let us help. Y/n gets to go on missions!" Lloyd begs.
"No. And that's because y/n is a highly trained ninja, who could take us all down if she wanted to."
"You would be right. You're lucky enough that I don't take you down now, Smith."
The young boy groans in annoyance. "Come on. At least drop us off at a decent arcade!"
"Sorry, shorty. See ya you two and take care!" The red ninja shouts out to us before driving away.
"Kai, wait!" Lloyd shouts out to him, but it's too late. He sighs as I pat his back, giving him a sympathetic smile.
"Hey, it'll be alright. Besides, you got me to keep you company! Now how about we try out this uh... A-arcade? Look, I don't know half of these things so you could be my teacher for these types of things. After all, I was never good with technology heh."
Lloyd looks at me smiling, feeling better now. As we're about to head inside, we overhear some familiar voices talking in an alleyway. We hide behind a wall, spotting two snake generals talking with each other quietly. They speak for a brief moment, before Skales shouts out to the snakes outside, waiting in line to get on a bus. "All aboard! Next stop, Ouroboros!"
Ouroboros?... Why does that sound so familiar?...
Before I know it though, Lloyd already bought disguises for us with the money Kai gave us. He hands me the disguise as I just stare at him. I whisper, yell at him, "What?! Are you crazy?! If we go, we could get caught! I hate snakes! And how did you even grab the money from me?!"
He shrugs, turning his attention back to what's more important. "Look, we have to do this to stop them y/n! You're a ninja, right? So let's do what's right, together," He says with a smile, holding his hand out to me.
I sigh knowing I can't reject him. I smile, grabbing his hand. We quickly put on our disguises, rushing over to the bus. I won't lie, getting on this bus is nerve-wracking because there are so many snakes, and protecting Lloyd at the same time won't be easy. But, we gotta do this for Ninjago. We both walk onto the bus, but Lloyd is immediately stopped by Skales.
"Hey, you, hold it there."
"Huh?" Lloyd asks nervously. I start getting nervous for him, thinking we got caught. Alright, reach for your fans slowly and get the heck out of here! I can't fight them with Lloyd here!
Skales smiles. "Last one in closes the door."
We both let out a sigh of relief as I go sit down in the back seat.
Lloyd smiles. "Uh, sure thing." He closes the door and quickly rushes to the back of the bus, sitting down with me. The bus drives off into the Desert, and to the Lost City of Ouroboros. It's going to be a long while before we get there. I stare out the window with Lloyd, watching everything go by.
~
I feel the bus coming to a stop as I open my eyes, waking me up from my deep slumber. I look around, noticing that it's now nighttime. We've must have been on this bus for hours then. My eyes widen at the sight of the city of Ouroboros. For some reason, it feels like I'm going back to somewhere that I've been before. It's strange...
I gently shake Lloyd awake, his green eyes fluttering open. "Are we there yet?..." He asks sleepily.
"Yeah, we're here. Let's get off of this bus before any snakes get suspicious."
He nods, walking off of the bus with me. We keep our heads down, not wanting to draw any attention to ourselves. Now, we're in the snake's den. If we get caught, not only we get caught by a few snakes. We get caught by every tribe and their leaders.
We sit down on a stand in between a few snakes. We keep quiet, staring at the center of the arena. For an even stranger reason, seeing the Generals down there just makes everything... feel familiar. Why does it feel like I've been here before?... This is the first time I've come here, right?...
Whatever the reason is, it doesn't matter anymore. I ignored a lot apparently and now the Generals are fighting?! Jeez, this escalated quickly. I missed a lot. I really need to stop letting my mind wander. How is Pythor win- he has the damn flute. That lying, sneaky, son of- I'm going to kill him and get that flute back for Sensei! I hate him so much.
"Oh, he's using the Sacred Flute against his own," Lloyd mumbles astonished by his cheating.
Once all of the generals are down, he declares himself the winner. He's the leader of all the tribes now...
Pythor smiles evilly, shouting to all the snakes in the stands, "Bow to your master! Bow to your master, Serpentine!"
The snakes hesitate for a moment before bowing to the new Snake King and cheer for him. I really don't want to bow to this monster. But, I don't want to get us caught so fighting against every fiber in my bones, I bow to him. Lloyd bows as well, but, unfortunately for both of us, he drops the maracas, causing every snake to stop their cheering.
They fall right into the center of the arena...
A snake grabs a scared Lloyd, asking him with a snarl, "Where do you think you're going?"
"Lloyd?" Pythor shocked to see him here.
I glare at the snake holding him as I grab them and throw the snake onto the ground. I Spinjiztu into my own clothes as I quickly take out my fans, glaring at the snakes around us. "Attack us and see what happens! I'm a child unhinged!"
I quickly grab Lloyd's arm and jump down from the stands, running away from them. But's it no use. We're taken prisoner by them. I try to struggle out of their grasp, but it's no use, Constrictai snakes are too strong. I glare at Pythor, slithering his way towards us with that ugly smirk on his face.
