《Billy Hargrove imagines》Married

You were getting married. Not only were you getting married but, you were getting married to Steve Harrington. When he called Max and asked if she had seen you around, he was not expecting her to say that you had just gotten engaged to Steve Harrington. At first, he thought she was messing with him to piss him off but, then he went back home and Max showed him the paper clipping of you and Steve’s engagement announcement.
-
You and Billy started dating in high school, sometime around January. Your relationship was short lived, you broke up a week before graduation, after a fight that you and Billy had. He wanted you to go back to California with him but, you wanted to stay close to Hawkins. You couldn’t come up with a reasonable compromise that was good enough for Billy so, you decided to end things with him.
You went back home for the summer, Hopper had called and asked if you would take Jane to meet some friends at the arcade, and that’s when you ran into Steve at the arcade, you didn’t expect Steve Harrington to be hanging out with a bunch of kids. You two started to talk and hit it off. Now here you were just three years later.
-
Billy really did think that you were the one, your relationship may have only lasted about 4 months but, you were different. You were warm, kind, soft and his. He was cold, rough, mean but, he was yours and that’s all that mattered to him.
After hearing the news, he looked back on your relationship, he wondered if you remembered all the late night drives in his camaro, the dates at the diner, the nights where they cuddled into each other because they both just needed a hug. He wondered if you had ever thought of him, if you ever missed him, if you remembered the plans for your future with him.

Billy thought that maybe, if he had just stayed in Hawkins, instead of going back to California, it would be him kissing you at the altar.
-
Today was the day, the day Billy had been dreading for the longest time, your wedding day. He sat next to Max, she could feel his discomfort. She knew he was uncomfortable, that the last thing he wanted to do was see you get married to Steve Harrington.
The ceremony was beautiful, even Billy could admit that, you and Steve both wrote your own vows, yours were sweet and sentimental but, Billy thought Steve could do better, or maybe that was just Billy being bitter.
-
The reception was held at Steve’s parent’s house, it was nice enough, it was a bit too Harrington for Billy’s taste. He sat at a table with Max, her friends had come up to her talking with her, inviting her to dance. He was miserable, Max could tell, she tried talking to him, trying to lighten his bitter mood.
“Billy, are you okay?” Max knew she was walking on thin ice.
“Of course I’m okay! Why wouldn’t I be? My ex girlfriend is marrying Steve Harrington, that puts me in a great mood!” Billy wasn’t trying to cause a scene, but, Max and Billy still received some stares from near by tables.
“Billy, don’t do this okay? If you’re not happy for her then why did you come?”
“She’s just rubbing it in Max, don’t you see? That could’ve been me, getting handshakes and being congratulated, that should’ve been me!”
“She’s not rubbing it in Billy, she probably thought that you would be happy for her, don’t you see her? Look at how happy she is. She hasn’t been this happy since you guys broke up. She was miserable, until she saw Steve hanging out with me and the party at the arcade. I’m gonna go get in line to give the coolest babysitters a hug, you can come with me or you can stay here and have your little pitty party.” Max got up slowly and slowly started to walk away. Billy quickly got up and followed Max to the back of the line.

When it was his turn, Billy gave a firm handshake to Steve and a quick “Harrington” before he moved onto you.
“Y/N, it’s been awhile.”
“Hi, it has been awhile, you look good”
“You look stunning, Harrington got lucky. I need to ask you something, uh, if we didn’t fight, would this have been us?” Billy bit his bottom lip, eagerly waiting on your answer.
“Honestly Billy, no. I don’t think this would’ve been us. We would’ve had the fight eventually, I’m sorry Billy.”
Billy took in a deep breath, and shook his head.
“Good to know, congrats Y/N. It was good to see you.”
“I’ll see you around Billy.”
That wasn’t the last time Billy saw you. He went back to Hawkins a few years later. He ran into you at the store. You had one kid sitting in your cart, one was holding your hand and it looked like you had one on the way. He thought about stopping to say hi, but, he saw that you were in a rush and decided against it. He asked Max about you often, wondering how you were doing with Harrington, how many kids you had, and what their names were. You were the one that got away.

Does Hell Have an Adventurers' Guild?
I have decided to try out a different style. I cannot say much at this point, the story is mostly fantasy/romance and will evolve as I go, but it will involve an "adventurers' guild" in a demonic setting. MC will be a reincarnator becoming a denizen of hell, I will add vital description as I go. Gore will be used with reason, some bad words here and there and severe explicit or traumatizing content will be announced in advance, but it will not be the focus of the work.
