You and Billy had made an odd pair. You were always together and that made people think you were a couple or that you were hooking up. You had always rejected the idea, insisting that you were just friends. You were always put off by the idea of being with Billy until recently. A few months ago, you had developed a crush on Billy, when you told your mom she wasn't shocked like at all. And according to her Billy felt the same way.
You and Billy made your way into the Starcourt mall. Weird looks were thrown your way as you closely walked next to each other. You needed to buy some new pants and Billy didn't want to go into work that day. So he offered to take you to the mall. You had purchased your pants about an hour ago but, Billy just wanted to hang out with you. You were walking toward Scoops Ahoy. Billy and you had ordered some ice cream and across each other at a table.
“Ya know I bet you'd look real great in that little sailor outfit that the server girl had on.” You rolled your eyes at Billy's stupid comment.
“Really?”
“Actually, I think you'd look better with it off” You blushing furiously. Billy chuckled slightly, as you pressed your hands to your face as you were trying to cool your face down. You never really thought much of the comments Billy would make, that's just how he was. Billy Hargrove was a gigantic flirt and you loved it. Billy reached his arm across the table.
“You got some ice cream right here.” Billy wiped the corner of your mouth with his thumb as he brought his arm back he sucked the ice cream off of his thumb. You stood up abruptly.

“I.. uh I have to use the bathroom.” You scurried away to the bathroom, you had begun to breathe a little heavier. You stood in the bathroom, just thinking to yourself.
What the hell was that about? Billy has never done that before, sometimes he would wrap an arm around your waist, or he would hug you, there was that one time where he grabbed your hand but, you didn't really think much of it. Billy has never made you so flustered before. He must've noticed, how could he not? When you looked in the mirror your face was bright fuckin red, you looked like a tomato. You decided that you had been in the bathroom for long enough so after wiping your face with some water, you left.
“Everything okay? You like ran to the bathroom” Billy seemed concerned.
“I had to pee... like really bad.” You cringed at your excuse, and you tried to change the subject.
“What time do you have to pick up Max?”
“Oh she's sleeping over at her friends house so, we can hang out all night”
“Oh cool, what do you wanna do?” after some debating, you and Billy went to see a movie. Back to the Future was playing. Billy had placed his hand on your knee and it was slowly rising. You tried to move your leg slightly, without making it seem like you were trying to get out of his touch. You had stretched your legs a little before crossing them, you had successfully gotten Billy to move his hand off your leg.
After the movie you and Billy had walked out to his car.
“Hey Y/N, can we talk for a sec?” Billy's whole mode changed, he seemed nervous and really serious.
“Of course, what do you wanna talk about Billy?”

“Um... I think I like you, like a lot. Wait actually, I know I like you a lot. Uh and if you don't feel the same, it's totally fine but I just thought you should know.” It took you a second to process what Billy said. He liked you back, your mom was right. Your crush on Billy is being reciprocated. What you didn't realize was that your mouth was hung open, in the shape of an ‘o’ while you were processing everything and it was stressing Billy out.
“So, y/n, what do ya think?” You snapped back into reality.
“Sorry, I like you a lot too Billy. I have for awhile now. I just didn't know how you felt so, I didn't say anything.” Billy laughed at your response.
“I thought I made it pretty obvious, I mean I was always flirting with you and I was always touching you in some way.” Your got bigger, you thought about all the times Billy had flirted with you, or had touched you. It was finally starting to click.
“Well, I'm sorry I didn't realize it sooner” Billy flashed you his sweet smile.
“Well now that you have, do you wanna be my girlfriend?” you pretended to think about his question for longer than you should've, and Billy rolled his eyes.
“Of course I would.” Billy pulled you into a deep and passionate kiss before getting into his car so he could drop you off at home. When you walked in the door, you saw your mom sitting on the couch.
“You were right, Billy likes me and he's my boyfriend now.” you said while walking towards your room.
“I'm always right sweetie!” you heard your mom say. You flopped onto your bed with a gigantic smile on your face.

Catalyst: Avowed
The year is 605, and in your home— the country of Corcaea— the souls of mankind belong to demons. A phenomenon known as the "Catalyst" is what's to blame. This diabolical phenomenon lurks within every man, woman, and child. It can turn any human into a demon, if they fall prey to one, all-consuming element. It can be anything. Fear. Grief. Generosity. Even love. In a land where Gods are real and Corcaea's theocracy is the last hope for mankind, you follow in the footsteps of Father Richard Anscham: a deeply disturbed young priest, the leader of the Church of Mercy, and the foremost researcher of the Catalyst. Despite completing a holy mission from the Goddess of Mercy, obtaining a holy Relic, and escaping from demon-infested ruins, Father Anscham is in greater peril than ever before. Ravaged in mind, body, and soul, the solace he begs to receive from the Church of Flesh is impeded by a cruel lesson: the ramifications of a life spent sacrificing everything one has for others. See through the harrowing eyes of a man at his wit's end; through a dark fantasy tale of horror, hope, and desperation. Search for the cure. Conquer your personal demons. Welcome to Catalyst! As this is an archive of Catalyst Quest (an interactive, collaborative story), the prompts that were included with the original run of Avowed have been stripped, and the story is presented like a traditional novel for your reading convenience. If you would like to read Catalyst in its original format or participate in current events, you can find us here, on Sufficient Velocity. This book is complete! The story will continue with Catalyst: Calunoth, just as soon as I am done revising its content for here on Royal Road.

Life is Feudal
No OP stuff, status bars, levels or skills. This story is in favour of more realistic setting in a world of humans and various monsters. "Behind the mask of the assertive, resolute facade that employs ruthless routes at any given moment, lies the frail, anxious heart that were once but a puny human. Reviled and revered by many, none would ever know my true allegiance lies within myself, merely trying to survive this mess." Just the life of a grumpy man child living in a terrible piece of shit or a desolate state in which I call an alternate historical take on medieval Europe. Living as a peasant who is forced to take up arms to defend his own kin. This story grants an insightful take on the life of people living under constant danger, from vying nobles who commit atrocities in the name of justice, eager nations and barbarians aiming to take a piece of the bountiful land and mythical divine monsters who resembles a walking catastrophe in any possible way. [If you're easily offended by alternate-history religion and cultural practices, then you shouldn't read this.]
