A/n: this was gonna be based off of illicit affairs by Taylor Swift but then I got completely off base. I kinda hate this so I might just delete it idk. Enjoy!

You jolted awake and looked over at the clock next to you. It read 8:15, your eyes grew wide and you jumped out of bed. This caused the sleeping Billy next to you to wake up as well.
"What are you doing?" He sleepily rubbed his eyes and sat up in his bed.
"I slept in! I'm going to be late for work! And I have to take Dustin to the Wheeler's!" You were running around Billy's room picking up all of your discarded clothes from the night before.
"Babe, it'll be fine. Just tell him you went on a run and that you lost track of time." He watched as you pulled your hair up into a pony tail.
"Okay, I gotta go. I'll see you tonight, right?" You began to open Billy's window and slide out. Billy nodded before he gave you a quick kiss goodbye.
Nobody knew that you and Billy were dating. You knew Dustin wouldn't like it, especially since he thought you were perfect for Steve. That always made your eyes roll because, honestly, you and Steve didn't get along. You've always bickered but, you both pushed your negative feelings towards each other to the side when you were around the kids.
To keep your relationship a secret, you always slept over at Billy's house, Dustin had almost caught both of you one too many times, and had your friend cover for you. She was the only one that knew. You kinda liked it that way, it was you were both in your own little world. You wanted to be able to go out with him and do stuff other couples could but, you knew that the reaction from Dustin wouldn't be good so that's why you wanted to wait to tell people.
You ran home, Dustin sat in a chair facing the door.
"Where have you been? I was supposed to be at Mike's 30 minutes ago!" Dustin stood up, he looked like he was trying to intimidate you, it wasn't working.

"I went on a run and lost track of time. Chill." You were walking to your bathroom so you could shower.
"That's the third time this week!" You didn't respond, you only shut the bathroom door to take the fastest shower of your life. After your shower, you called the pool and let them know you would be late.
After a car ride full of Dustin letting you know how late he was, you finally dropped him off. Then you drove off to work. You got into your lifeguard uniform and applied sunscreen. Billy's shift hadn't started yet, you felt relieved, only because it was hard for you to keep your eyes off of him while he wore his trunks.
When it was time to switch with your coworker, you ran into Mrs. Wheeler, she thanked you for dropping Dustin off and you said hi to Holly and then walked away. You passed Billy as he was walking to the locker room and he winked at you. You felt someone staring at you so, you turned around and your eyes met Karen Wheeler. She quickly looked away but, the glare she gave you didn't sit right with you.
It was Billy's shift now, you noticed the way Karen Wheeler and her gang of desperate moms gawked at Billy. You felt grossed out by the way they were so obviously staring at him. You admired him from afar by the concessions booth. He stole glances at you every now and then. This did not go unnoticed by Karen Wheeler, she sent more glares your way.
It was the end of Billy's shift when you were on your way to talk to him. Karen beat you to him, you heard her mention something about a private swim lesson, that made your blood boil. You walked over and asked Billy for help with something. Karen sent you an other glare before you walked away with Billy. You took him to the staff office.
"What did you need help with?"
"Nothing, Karen was being a creep so I thought I would help you and get you away from her." You sat down in the chair that was at the desk.

"Is that it because I have to get back out there and actually work."
"Yeah that's it." You gave him a quick peck and left the office.
That would've been it if Karen had left your boyfriend alone. She started flirting with him while you were in the chair, knowing that you couldn't get down and take him away. The worst part about it was that, it seemed like Billy liked it. It looked like he was feeding into her. You were fuming in your chair.
At the end of the day, Billy pulled you to the side.
"Your place tonight?" You were still upset but, you wanted to talk to him about it.
"Yeah, Dustin's sleeping over at the Wheeler's house and my mom's at my aunt's house for the week." You walked away from Billy and got in your car. When you got home, you showered to get rid of the chlorine smell and then got into pajamas. You only waited for 25 minutes before Billy climbed through your window. He tried to kiss you but, you turned your head and he missed.
"Hey what was that for? Did I do something?" He sat back and looked at you with concern on his face.
"It's just Karen Wheeler was all over you today, and you didn't do anything about it."
"Oh so you got jealous?" A cocky smile spread onto his face.
"I guess but, you still could have told her to stop, and it looked like you liked it!" You let out a frustrated sigh.
"I tried but, she was persistent as hell! And it's not like I could tell her that my girlfriend doesn't like when other people flirt with me. Remember you wanted to keep us a secret."
"I know, I know but, I think I'm ready to tell the world about us. I'm sorry I didn't want to do it before but, with Dustin and now Karen. I just want everyone to know that I have the best boyfriend in the world." Billy was smiling ear to ear. You spent the rest of the night in your living room watching movies. Eventually you fell asleep on your couch.
You woke up when Dustin slammed your door shut.
"Y/n! I'm home!" He yelled which startled Billy awake.
"We're in the living room!" Dustin walked into the living room and was surprised to see you laying next to Billy.
"Um what the fuck? What's he doing here?"
"He's my boyfriend. He spent the night last night." Dustin couldn't believe what he just heard.
"Do you have anymore questions?" You sat up fully on the couch and Billy went to go get breakfast for the three of you,
"Yeah I have a lot of questions, number one: how dare you? Number two: how long have you been dating? Number three: did you guys do anything on the couch? Number four: what about Steve?"
"Okay well one, I like Billy a lot, he's different than anyone I've ever dated. Two like 5 months, three, gross no and four, I'm sorry bud but Steve and I don't like each other, we fight all the time. Steve and I would have never worked but, Billy and I, we work." Billy had been listening from outside your front door and smiled at what you had said. He slowly walked through the door and into your kitchen. Dustin eyed him carefully.
"Okay, I guess it's fine with me." You rolled your eyes at him.
"I don't care if it's fine with you. I would've kept dating him even if you said you weren't fine with it." Dustin made a face of disbelief. Billy walked over bringing breakfast over to the two of you.
"Thanks for breakfast Billy but, if you hurt Y/n, I'll hurt you." Dustin said nonchalantly. Billy laughed so hard he choked on his breakfast. The 'intimidating' look that Dustin had on his face fell.
"Okay, kid. I can promise you that's the last thing I want to do." Billy pressed a sweet kiss to your forehead.
Everything was fine and now that Dustin knew, you knew he would tell all of his friends and hopefully Karen would hear about it from Mike and then she back off.
