I snickering as Zuko was practically pushed out of our home. Iroh spent the last ten minutes coming down his always messy hair. He looked like a child.
When he sent me a glare, I looked down at the floor.
"You look pretty."
I slowly brought my head up to face him.
"I guess I owe it to Iroh." I chuckled. "I still can't believe he kept these outfits for us in secret."
Zuko slowly nodded.
"And thank you," I added. "You look..." my eyes traveled to his hair. "Cute."
Zuko rolled his eyes and I lightly laughed. Seconds later, Jin and Kage approached us at the same time.
"Hello Jade. You look stunning this evening." Kage smirked while bringing his hand out at me. From the corner of my eyes, I could see Zuko rolling his eyes.
How formal. "Oh, um, thank you Kage." I gently placed my hand atop of his and we began to walk hand in hand. In front of us walked Zuko and Jin - her arm was wrapped around his. His hair was also messed up again. Poor Iroh. His hard work for nothing.
I could see Zuko tensing up a bit. I smiled at that.
"There's this restaurant not too far from here that has really good noodles." Kage told me. Hearing this, Jin turned around. "Oh, I think I know what you're talking about!" She looked up at Zuko. Are you up for it, Lee?"
"Sure." Zuko said dryly.
When we made it to the restaurant, we all sat down across from our dates. I felt comfortable sitting next to Zuko, even though my attention couldn't be on him.
"What could I get for you four this evening?" The server asked us.

"What do you usually get here?" I asked Kage.
"Their signature noodles. I highly recommend them." He responded. I nodded before looking over to our server. "Him and I will take your signature noodles."
"Perfect. And for you two?" The server asked Jin and Zuko.
"The same." Zuko said.
"Alright then. I'll be right back with your food." He walked away from our table, leaving us four alone.
"It feels like forever since we've had noodles, huh?" I asked Zuko. He shook his head, "I had some a few days ago."
I gasped, "Without me?"
"I needed a break from you." He joked. I laughed while playfully hitting him in the arm. When the both of us faced forward at our dates, they had similar expressions on their faces. They both cocked their brows at us and had their arms crossed.
I cleared my throat. "So, Kage, how long have you lived in Ba Sing Se?"
"All my life." He responded. "I love it here. Where are you from?"
"The South Pole." I said.
His eyes slightly widened. "Wow. That's incredible far from here. How'd you end up in the city?"
Thankfully before I could answer him, our food was brought over. Maybe I shouldn't have said the South Pole.

We were finishing up our dinner. Kage and I ran out of questions to ask each other, so we listened to Zukos and Jins conversation.
"So, how do you like the city so far?" Jin asked.
"It's okay."
"What do you like to do for fun?"
"Nothing."
Oh geez. It's like talking to a tea cup.
My attention was averted away from them when the server walked up to our table. He leaned down at Kage and asked, "Excuse me sir, would you and your girlfriend care for dessert?"

Before either of us could respond, Zuko took care of it. "She's not his girlfriend!"
"Lee." I warned him. "Calm down."
"I apologize. How about you and your girl-"
"She's not my girlfriend either!"
I reassuringly placed my hand onto the servers arm and sent him a kind smile. "I think we're good here. Thank you."
The server quickly walked away and I groaned. "Really? Was that really necessary?" I scolded Zuko.
"It's fine, Jade." Kage said.
I looked around me and eyes were all on us. "I think we're done here." I faked a smile while standing up from the table. "Let's go Kage."
Kage quickly stood up and we both walked away from the table.

Shamrock Samurai
How many shotgun blasts does it take to kill a Banshee? Sean’s a martial arts enthusiast who just discovered his Luck magic. Will his new powers be enough to combat the slew of celtic monsters that cropped up to terrorize his city? He’ll unload a whole barrel of Luck on these paranormal pests, cruising in his ‘69 Fastback, slaying shades after dark. You’ll ride shotgun with Sean as he battles Banshees, clashes with Leprechauns, strives against Vampires, and defends his own against Celtic Demigods. There’s plenty of magic sword fights, shots fired, car chases, fisticuffs, and portal hopping while adventuring between the Bay Area and the mythical realm of Irish legend, Tir na nOg! ------------------------------------------------ I'm happy to offer this COMPLETE SAGA (6 arcs) here PERMAFREE (never in Kindle Unlimited). Imagine the intense action of JOHN WICK + the swords-n-guns slaying of DEVIL MAY CRY, and that had a baby with CELTIC MYTHOLOGY and some PORTAL HOPPING, add a pinch of INUYASHA's horrific monsters, a smattering of YUYU HAKUSHO angst, and that's Shamrock Samurai.*Contains portal hopping as a major element in each arc, but this story IS NOT Isekai (nothing against it personally. Want to make sure you know what you're getting into). Enjoy, and good luck ☘️! ------------------------------------------------ Readers say... “This series is kind of wild.”_David Simpson, author of the Zombie Road series. “Loved the plot twists and the action.” “I found the concept of magic/luck to be original and refreshing... PLENTY of action.” “Cool blend of geek culture and Gaelic mythology in a modern paranormal setting.” “Hang on till the end. There’s a wild twist I didn’t see coming.”

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.
