Y/N was talking with some people.
Sersi had invited her and Sprite to her boyfriend's birthday at a club, and Sprite wanted to fit in.
Y/N was concerned when Sprite left the bar, and went to an unpopulated area.
"Sprite, are you okay?"
"Yeah, just dying of boredom."
She crossed her arms.
"I get what you mean."
She put my arm on her shoulder.
"Happy Birthday dear Dane."
People sang.
"C'mon, let's go somewhere else."
Y/N brought her to a hallway type area.
"Soooo."
She sighed.
The door opened.
They both hid behind the wall.
Sersi and Dane were in the corner talking.
"Are you a wizard?"
Dane asked.
Y/N had to cover her mouth, trying not to laugh out loud.
"What?"
Sersi laughed.
"Get a room, you two."
Y/N said after dying of boredom.
"Can we go now? It's past my bedtime."
Sprite scoffed.
The four walked outside.
"Are you really in love?"
Sprite asked.
"What if I am?"
Sersi stared at Dane in front of her.
"You may wanna tell him the truth then, Sersi."
Y/N shrugged.
"I'm working on it."
She walked.
"You guys wanna get pizza?"
"No, thank you."
Sprite, Y/N, and Sersi all said simultaneously.
"He won't live forever, you know."
"Move in with him, Sersi!"
Y/N shoved her shoulder.
"I live with you two!"
"It's not like I need a babysitter, Sersi."
"Well, I'm offended."
Y/N crossed her arms.
Something rose out of the water.
"Dane.."
Sersi stopped walking.
"Shit! Is that a Deviant!?"
Sprite's eyes widened.
"Dane, run!'
Sersi yelled.
Y/N picked something up off the ground.
She quickly transformed it into daggers.
She threw them at the beast, while Sersi was getting it stuck in the ground.

"Sersi!"
"Let's go!"
The four of them ran.
"What is that thing!?"
"A Deviant!"
Y/N screamed.
"I thought you killed them all!"
"You told him, Sprite!?"
"I didn't think he believed me!"
"Well I do now!"
Sersi ran backwards.
"What are you doing!?"
Sprite yelled.
"Keep Dane safe!"
"Sersi, wait, what!?"
She climbed the railing.
"You're fine, dude."
Sprite climbed after Sersi.
Dane stared at Y/N.
"Bye, Dane!"
She went after the other two.
Sprite made many versions of the three appear around the Deviant.
"Run, go! Go!"
Dane yelled.
"It knows where we are!"
"How?!"
Y/N panted.
"I don't know!"
Sprite tripped.
"Sprite!"
Sersi ran after her.
The Deviant was crashed into a building.
"Sprite!"
Dane yelled.
Familiar light rays stung the Deviant.
They turned their attention to the figure.
"Ikaris."
Y/N scoffed.
"Evening, ladies."
He smirked.
"Watch out!"
Sersi shouted.
A bus flipped over, and Sersi changed it to rose petals.
"Wizard."
Dane panted.
Y/N scoffed at him.
Ikaris noticed the Deviant charging at us, and shot it with his laser eyes.
"Did it just heal itself..?"
Sprite was bewildered.
Ikaris zapped it again, pushing it in the water.
He landed on the ground, and Sprite rushed to hug him.
"Ikaris. It's good to see you!"
"It's good to see you too, Sprite."
He smiled.
Y/N walked up to him.
"Ikaris."
She said with a straight face.
"Y/N. I see you haven't changed a bit."
He frowned.
Dane stuck his hand out.
"I'm Dane."
"Hello, Dane."
"Well, I guess you must be the pilot."
Sirens were behind the group.
Sprite quickly made them invisible.
—————
Ikaris, Y/N, and Sprite were sitting back at the house, and the news was on.

"That Deviant healed itself. They could never do that before."
Sersi leaned in the doorframe.
"And it was coming after us. Didn't they usually go for humans?"
Y/N was puzzled.
"I came to check on you all because of the earthquake. That Deviant is news to me."
Ikaris put on his jacket.
"Something's happening to Earth."
"Can't be a coincidence."
"We need to find the others."
Ikaris mentions.
"The others..? You mean as in Thena, Gilgamesh, Kingo..?"
Y/N shook.
"I haven't seen some of them for centuries."
Sersi smiled.
"I doubt much has changed."
Ikaris sighed.
He walked in front of Sersi.
Y/N looked away.
"Let's go to Ajak first."
Sersi mentions.
"She'll know what to do."
"You hear that, Sprite?"
"Family reunion."
Ikaris sighed.
"It's about time."
She stared out the window.
"I don't think I'm ready to see everyone yet."
Y/N randomly says.
"What do you mean?"
Sersi asked.
"You know what I mean, Sersi."
Y/N leaned in the doorway Sersi was previously was leaning in.
"Ah, I think I do."

Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
