《Tumse Na Jaane Kyuin✓》Chapter-13

The house was decorated majestically, It was the Baby Shower ceremony of the sister of Arnav Singh Raizada, Along with his own Mehendi Ceremony. Arnav was busy sulking about the fact that he wasn't allowed to be a part of his own sister's baby-shower ceremony, While Anjali was sitting surrounded by the ladies being showered with gifts and blessings for her "Raaj-kumari"
"Anjali Bitiya, Tumhaare Shyam -ji hai? Dikh nahi rahe. (Anjali dear, Where is your Shyam -ji? I didn't see him)" Asked one of the neighbour women
"He's not here Aunty-ji" Anjali said quietly
"It's a woman's function Nirmala. Damad-ji can not be present here" Subhadra Devi said
"Our Damad-ji is like Krishna, He would have found a way to be with his Raani-Saheba and his baby on their special day." Said another woman
Shyam smiled hearing the words of the woman and hid behind a pillar gazing at his wife's sad demeanour. "I'm so sorry Anjali" He whispered.
Anjali excused herself from the crowd and Khushi escorted her towards the sofa telling her to rest there till she returns with something for her to eat.
Shyam sighed satisfactorily and moved to a place from where Anjali could notice him more easily.
"Shyam-ji" Anjali half-squealed seeing Shyam standing by the pillar, Shyam gestured to keep quiet and pointed towards his phone indicating that he was going to call her. Anjali nodded and held her phone in her hands
"How are you?" His soft voice quivered with emotions.
"I'm fine.. How are you?" Anjali almost sobbed into her phone hearing his voice after what felt like an eternity.
"Don't cry Raani-Saheba.. I'm here today. I couldn't miss your baby shower right?" He said making a full blown smile grace her lips.
"I.. missed you" Anjali confessed
"I missed you too Raani-Saheba, Come to the poolside from your room. I'm waiting for you, We don't have much time" Shyam instructed her.
Anjali agreed. Shyam at once left towards Anjali's room.
"Anjali the wires are short-circuited! You'll get electrocuted, Don't touch the-" Shyam screamed running towards her panic-stricken, His words dying in his throat as he took in Anjali's condition.
Anjali's feet were bleeding, Tears were running down her cheeks, She held the stairway to stop herself from falling only to be thrown backwards by the force of the electric shock.

"ANJALI!!" Shyam screamed aghast, adrenaline fuelled the movement of his legs and he pulled Anjali against his chest Her sole weight on him shifting suddenly made him lose his balance, He rolled down the stairs, Shielding Anjali from any potential harm by wrapping his arms around her body.
Arnav and the rest of the family members who had reached the stairs, stood paralysed seeing the scene in front of them, There was shyam, With his arms wrapped securely around Anjali, breathing laboured and blood dripping from his head, bruises on his arms
"Di" Arnav breathed, crouching in front of Shyam who was still holding an unconscious Anjali close to himself.
"Damad-ji" Nani-ji gasped.
Shyam looked at Devyani and then back at his wife "She needs to go to the hospital" He said picking her up in his arms.
Shyam woke up with a jolt, Sweat dripping from his forehead. He looked at his side on to find Anjali sleeping peacefully with a small smile on her lips, "" He mumbled and found himself shaking slightly as a result of the nightmare he had just re-lived.
Sighing in relief and kissed forehead, Anjali woke up feeling his lips on her skin. ""
"" Shyam spoke tenderly
"" Anjali assured him "You okay?"
"" Shyam said.
"" Anjali said after kissing his forehead, Shyam nodded and slipped into the blanket pulling her in his arms, Anjali slept cuddling to him while Shyam's thoughts wandered back to that night, as eventful as it was.
"What were you doing in the function??" Arnav asked in a dangerously intimidating voice.
"Anjali was missing me Arnav, It was her baby-shower. She wanted me to be present and I had come to meet her" Shyam said calmly.
"She doesn't need a cheater like you, Do you get it??" Arnav stated firmly
"Technically, Arnav I'm not a cheater. Khushi-ji never wanted to be a part of my life, and thus everything that I had planned on doing, From double crossing you to divorcing Anjali never happened and so I'm still her husband, and not a cheater." Shyam stated matter-of-factly
"None of that succeeded because I married Khushi before you could do anything-" Arnav retorted.
"Mr. Raizada that's where you're wrong. None of that succeeded because I discovered that Anjali was pregnant. I never wanted to cheat on her after that" Shyam said

Arnav opened his mouth to retort but before that Shyam started
"And what Khushiji and you had was not marriage, But a contract Marriage which you forced Khushi-ji into in order to protect your sister from going through heart-break. For your sister, You didn't even give Khushi-ji a benefit of doubt. You assumed that she was in a relationship with me without asking for her side of the story just because I said it, It's surprising that you didn't use your ASR "shrewdness" and your so called "Intelligence" when it was about your love, and believed my words blindly." Shyam chuckled at the end shaking his head
Arnav was dumbfounded hearing him mention the contract marriage. How did he get to know?
"I'll tell you someday, Why I said what I said and why I did what I did, But let me tell you.. I honestly expected you to cross-check the facts from Khushi-ji, and although that wouldn't have worked in my favour but you would've had the truth and that would've saved Khushi-ji from your hatred and the family's too." Shyam said
"How.. did you know about the contract?" Arnav asked
"I know many things that even you don't, I have my ways." Shyam winked at him.
"Chotte" Anjali whispered through constricted throat, Arnav helped her in sitting up.
"Di.. Aap theek hai na? (Di you're okay right?)" Arnav asked anxiously.
Anjali nodded "Haan Chotte, Hum.. Hum bilkul theek hai. (Yes Chotte, I.. I'm perfectly fine.)" She assured him.
Shyam stood at a distance admiring at the sibling duo relishing the memories which had flooded his own mind.
"Damad-ji, Jaiye Anjali ke pass. (Go to Anjali, Damad-ji. [Son-in-law ])" Subhadra pulled him out of his trance, and he looked at Anjali who by the time was looking back at him along with her brother.
Shyam smiled at her, "Meri toh jaan hi nikal gayi thi jab aap behosh huyi. (When you fell unconscious, My life was almost sucked out of me.)" He confessed.
"Hum theek hai Shyam-ji, Par aap.. Chot lagi hai aapko! (I'm fine, But you.. you're hurt!)" Anjali said worriedly and Arnav rolled his eyes at Shyam
"Raani-Saheba, It's nothing, It's a very small cut" Shyam said comfortingly.
"But.. Shyam-ji-"
"Di.. He said right, It's Okay, Don't worry. He'll be fine. Please don't worry about it, The doctors have already dressed his wound." Arnav said
"He's right, Don't panic. The doctors have taken care of the first-aid" Shyam said smiling.
"You need to rest, Di" Arnav said
"So that you can throw Damad-ji out of this room and her life as soon as Anjali falls asleep?" Subhadra asked sarcastically
"Dadi.." Anjali's eyes to widen in surprise while Arnav stood there with absolutely no expression
"Arnav.. You won't.. do that right? Arnav there's a misunderstanding Arnav, He is not wrong. Why would he have risked his life to save mine if he didn't love me? He does.. Arnav." Anjali defended her husband frantically.
"Anjali calm down." Shyam said softly.
"Arnav will do nothing like that, Anjali bitiya is right. If Shyam had meant any harm to her he wouldn't have risked his life to save hers, And you can't argue with that Arnav now can you?" Naniji asked.
"Na-"
"No Arnav, If you have one solid reason to defend your point apart from the statement of Khushi Bitiya, then only proceed with your argument or else, you'll have to accept him coming back along with Anjali Bitiya" Nani said sternly
Arnav sighed, wiping a tear that had rolled down his cheeks. He looked at the stars, hoping to find the answers to the questions which pricked him endlessly from the day Shyam Manohar Jha had re-entered their lives.
He was standing on the terrace, Talking his heart to his mother, When he felt Khushi hugging him from behind.
"" Arnav asked relaxing under her touch
"" Khushi asked concerned
"" He sighed
""
"" Arnav poured his heart out in front of Khushi who listened to him attentively.
" (Everything is going to be fine, have faith. Sometimes we should let time answer some our questions. And whatever happens, At least Anjali-Di is happy in all of this, The one for whom, you've always neglected your happiness, If she's happy what else do you want?)" Khushi asked
"" Arnav answered sincerely
"" Khushi said softly
"" Arnav said pulling her into a gentle hug and buried his face in the crook of her neck
"" Khushi assured him, caressing his hair
"" Arnav said in a barest of whispers
Khushi smiled into the hug, "" She whispered back.

Shadowcroft Academy for Dungeons: Year One
Build a Dungeon. Slay Heroes. Survive Finals. Wounded Army vet Logan Murray thought mimics were the stuff of board games and dungeon manuals… right up until one ate him. In a flash of snapping teeth, Logan suddenly finds himself on the doorstep to another world. He’s been unwittingly recruited into the Shadowcroft Academy for Dungeons—the most prestigious interdimensional school dedicated to training the monstrous guardians who protect the Tree of Souls from so-called heroes. Heroes who would destroy the universe if it meant a shot at advancement. Unfortunately, as a bottom-tier cultivator with a laughably weak core, Logan’s dungeon options aren’t exactly stellar, and he finds himself reincarnated as a lowly fungaloid, a three-foot-tall mass of spongy mushroom with fewer skills than a typical sewer rat. If he’s going to survive the grueling challenges the academy has in store, he’ll need to ace the odd assortment of classes—Fiendish Fabrication, Dungeon Feng Shui, the Ethics of Murder 101—and learn how to turn his unusual guardian form into an asset instead of a liability. And that’s only if the gargoyle professor doesn’t demote him to a doomed wandering monster first…

Truck-kun Gets Sacrificed
Driscoll is my own version of a world with a game-like "system" of endless possibilities. MC has his own status, classes, skills, magic, and a living greatswordstaff in a world of monsters, demi-humans of all kinds, and even the supernatural. Sound good? Well, at first for Tru, it was a dream come true(I'm sorry). At least until reality hits him again and again. His quest from God is vague and must be discovered by him along the way. Hopefully, he can figure that out someday but for now, this new world's threats and his potential for power are motivation aplenty. With His new partner by his side, he's ready to embark on his mission of infinite sacrifice, however many lives it takes. The setting is pretty standard for fantasy, with my beginner attempts at writing. Litrpg elements are definitely involved here but It'll calm down as the story progresses and the world's foundation is laid. Judeo/Christian themes and principles take a major role and will be a backbone for much of the story. The fights will paint a picture in the mind rather than just be a bunch of number crunching. While he is meant to be a sacrifice to save all of Driscoll, he needs to gain enough power and influence to be a worthwhile sacrifice, or so he thinks. And so carnage will ensue as he avoids death as best he can while at the same time sacking himself for others. Truck Coon is your average determined, jiu-jitsu practitioner, tax associate that just started his new career. He dies to save kids from a semi-truck(Truck Coon got truck-kun'd, making him Truck-kun) and is transported to another world rather conventionally by God. Upon his arrival, he is quickly confronted with his first conflicts in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Chapters are currently between 2300 and 4000 words and I try to post weekly, but also deal with severe limitations that cause late posts often. I have zero actual experience with writing stories and only recently started reading web novels in 2020. If you end up hating it, let me know your thoughts in a detailed comment or review, especially if you love it though :D I want to get better and welcome the feedback, so expect changes to be made with any flaws that y'all point out which I don't already have plans to address in future chapters. That being said, keep it constructive in nature, please. I have no Idea how the formatting and such will go, so if you like or dislike some techniques I try, give me that well-appreciated feedback! Thank you for reading.
