《Ancient God (Ancient Love Poetry)》Chapter 41: Leaving Liaowang Mountain (Mount Lookout)

(Part 1)
The four people walked out of the icy-bottom channel and stepped into the red boat. The icy valley overturned and thousands of miles instantly melted, the crystal world fading inch by inch. The aquatic people who were trapped by the ice regained their vitality, and the waves regained their momentum...It seemed that with the departure of the person in the icy coffin, this mysterious world hidden in the sea no longer needed to exist. In a moment, everything returned to tranquility.
Silence filled the way back. The old Dragon King looked at everyone thinking different thoughts, the little snare drum in his heart never stopping.
Spirit-Gathering Orb, Soul-Suppressing Tower, Demon-Gathering Banner...Even the little god wouldn't dare to obtain them...she wouldn't...
Standing at the side of the ship, Hou Chi looked into the distance with an unpredictable expression. Her long hair stretched out into the wind, flowing behind her doubtful figure, and only the remaining indifferent aura spread slowly.
The old Dragon King took a quick glance towards where Hou Chi stood. He really couldn't guess what this little god was thinking. She had a personality that could make the Heavenly Emperor and Heavenly Empress give up, what else could stop her? Maybe God Gu Jun could...
His beard shook and looked straight at God Gu Jun. Seeing the strongest person in the post-ancient Three Realms rubbing his hands and looked aggrievedly at his daughter, the old Dragon King couldn't even take a breath and almost backed up.
Forget it, he can pretend as if he doesn't know anything!
Qing Mu looked at Hou Chi, who didn't take a single glance at the icy coffin after coming out of the valley, her clenched fist never loosening.
Under the suffocating atmosphere, the group finally returned to the North Sea Dragon Palace. The old Dragon King hesitated again and again, and finally rested his mand under Hou Chi's cold face.
The red boat stopped on the shore of the North Sea, and he sent the three ashore. After saying goodbye, he looked at the auspicious clouds drifting towards Liaowang Mountain and stood for a long time without realizing it.
"Your Highness, did you not settle the matter well with the little god?" Seeing the worried old Dragon King, Prime Minister Turtle, who came over from the North Sea Dragon Palace, asked in a low voice.
"I settled it." The Dragon King replied in a low voice. He turned to walk away, took a few steps, stopped, then waved his hand, "Old Turtle, go back and say on behalf of me that the North Sea will be taken care of Long Xuan for now and you'll help."
Prime Minister Turtle was taken aback. The heavy shell on his back trembled, and he hurriedly trotted a few steps to follow him, "Your Highness, are you trying to..."
It wasn't uncommon for the Dragon King to travel afar and hand over the North Sea for the First Highness to take care of. It was just that it was never so sudden, not to mention that God Gu Jun had just visited the North Sea...
"I haven't cultivated in retreat for a long time. This time I'll be cultivating in the Deep Sea Dragon Clan. Unless something threatens the North Sea, you don't need to disturb me."
After the old Dragon King finished his words, his body moved and he turned into a cyan dragon, heading towards the bottom of the sea, where he disappeared after a moment.
Before Prime Minister Turtle could recover from these words, he looked towards the old Dragon King who had already run away with his burden and didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Your Highness, making you cultivate is usually as if I'm killing you. What disaster have you created this time!
On Liaowang Mountain, the sun was gradually setting.
Da Hei lay lazily on the grass in front of the wooden house, his four paws dancing with the flying butterflies, and his soft red belly was exposed.
A little light appeared in the sky. He squinted and smelled around, then happily yipped twice, jumped up, and ran out of the yard, just in time to see Hou Chi and the others descending on the clouds.
Qing Mu scooped up Da Hei, who had rushed forward, touched his furry ears a few times, then put him down, saying, "Go play over there."
After receiving a cold reception, the energetic ears suddenly drooped. He turned a few times on the ground, then noticed the icy coffin in the open area of the yard, calling out a few times in confusion. Seeing that no one paid attention to him, he unhappily walked back into the house.
The four feet slowly walked past the icy coffin, and when he glanced at it casually, he felt a familiar aura. His body shook. Da Hei stared at the person inside the icy coffin and stopped.
No one was in the mood to care about Da Hei's expression. God Gu Jun looked at the dark-faced Hou Chi and hesitated several times, but in the end, he just sighed and walked into his bamboo house.
Qing Mu patted Hou Chi's shoulder. He wanted to say something, but after he suddenly felt the egg in his hand replenishing its spiritual power, he frowned and went into the house.
Feng Ran looked left and right, not wanting to lock gazes with a dumb black dog, and stomped her feet and disappeared into the yard.
The yard was silent, and the sun slowly disappeared. The icy coffin was right beside the stone chair in the bamboo forest. Hou Chi walked over and sat down with her hand under her chin. She placed her hands onto the bone-chilling icy coffin, her eye sockets finally turning red.
She didn't want to embarrass her God Father. He was a god, and although he was lazy and didn't care about political matters, he had always been concerned about the civilians of the world.
Whether it was the Spirit-Gathering Orb or Demon-Gathering Banner, she didn't care about the consequences...But the Soul-Suppressing Tower kept the Mortal Realm peaceful. If it was lost, evil ghosts would roam around, and the Mortal Realm would lose its peace for one hundred years, so how could she bear it?
The so-called god position that received worships from people had never been an honor with the responsibility being heavier than Mount Tai. if she was to ignore the world for her personal interests, what qualifications did she have to be ranked as a god?
But...Bo Xuan...it was Bo Xuan who needed the Soul-Suppressing Tower to survive.
One hundred years of darkness in the Mortal Realm could be exchanged for his rebirth. Hou Chi, are you truly unwilling?
Closing her eyes, she felt a battle inside her heart. Hou Chi pressed down her shaking hands, looked at the sleeping figure inside the icy coffin, hugged her shoulders, and lowered her head.
Behind her, not fr from the window of the wooden house, Qing Mu held the egg that was faintly hot due to the infusion of spiritual power, his eyes gradually darkening.
He lowered his head, his expression becoming determined in an instant.
"I really can't do anything with her, don't you agree, I hope you can stop after you hatch out of the egg." As if he was sighing, as if he was joking, but in the end, it slowly disappeared in the setting sun.

A silent and quiet atmosphere enveloped the entire mountain. Hou Chi sat net to the icy coffin all day long, talking about Qingchi Palace from time to time, hoping to awake Bo Xuan. Although she was in low spirits, she did not forget to replenish the spiritual energy for that 'ooh I'm being nurtured egg every day.
The other three were watching and were anxious. Although Feng Ran moved all the books from Qingchi Palace to Liaowang Mountain, piling up the house, Qing Mu couldn't find a solution. God Gu Jun couldn't bear seeing Hou Chi look upset every day, so he simply moved back to Qingchi Palace. Feng Ran was good at causing trouble, so she was snatched back by the old man to do tedious work.
Half a month later, night.
Feng Ran returned to Qingchi Palace, Qing Mu was looking in the house for a way to wake Bo Xuan up, and Hou Chi sat lazily in front of the icy coffin with Da Hei and continued her daily memories...
Sitting on the stone chair, Hou Chi was stiff. With an exclamation, the eyes that looked at the icy coffin were filled with incredible shock and panic.
Through the window, Qing Mu felt that the atmosphere in the yard wasn't right and raised his head, saying towards the outside, "Hou Chi, what happened?"
(Part 2)
Startled by the sound, Hou Chi hurriedly turned her head and saw Qing Mu's tired bloodshot eyes. She quickly warmed up her stiff expression and said without changing the color of her face, "Nothing, Da Hei's claw scratched me."
The wronged Da Hei snorted in dissatisfaction, but he somehow felt that the pair of hands holding him were uncontrollably trembling. He did not arrogantly flick his tail as usual, but lifted his chubby paw and lightly tapped Hou Chi twice.
The meaning of the scene changed when it fell into Qing Mu's eyes. "I'm relieved that everything's alright." Seeing the person and dog getting along, he smiled without paying too much attention and turned his head back to look at the piles of ancient books on the table.
Hou Chi turned her stiff body and looked at the situation in the icy coffin, her mouth pursed into a fragile arc.
Inside the icy coffin, the person in black had a calm expression. His face remained unchanged, but his aura was gradually weakening...his face even became a little illusory, as if it was slowly disappearing.
This change was very small. If it weren't for Hou Chi always staring at Bo Xuan, it would have been difficult for her to notice.
But it was obvious that if this continued, this body would eventually disappear and become nothingness!
And she, she could only watch this scene become reality.
Her finger trembled without restraint, but her eyes gradually became determined, her dark pupils even stained with invisible suffocation. After a long sigh, Hou Chi put Da Hei on the ground and walked towards the wooden house.
In the wooden house, Qing Mu's entire body seemed to be submerged in a mountain of ancient books, his figure looking very tired. His right hand flipped through an ancient book while his left hand poured spiritual energy into the gold and silver egg from time to time. He occasionally turned his head to look at the egg on the table, his brows gentle, and his eyes filled with faint joy.
The faint light projected by the night pearl in the room fell on him, quiet and serene.
Looking at this scene, Hou Chi could hardly walk forward for a moment. Her fingertips piercing her palm loosened a few times, then finally were slowly tightened. She rubbed her face, loosened her brows, coughed lightly, then walked in.
Hearing the sound, Qing Mu raised his head. Seeing that it was Hou Chi, his eyes were a little surprised, "Why have you come in so early today..."
As soon as he finished speaking, seeing Hou Chi raise her eyebrows and sensing the involuntary jealousy in the sentence, Qing Mu hurriedly waved his hand and said, "That's not what I mean..."
"I've finished talking to him eh, there aren't that many things to say." Hou Chi smiled, poured a cup of tea, and handed it to Qing Mu with a calm expression, "Since the old man said that he might wake up by himself in a few hundred years, I'll just wait. I've already waited for eight thousand years, so I don't mind a few hundred years."
Hearing these words, Qing Mu was taken aback. He looked at Hou Chi's complexion and relaxed. It didn't seem fake, so he stretched his brows, "It's great that you're not worried. I was really afraid this past half month that you would get sick."
"I had you worried." Hou Chi took the egg from Qing Mu and sat on a nearby chair, staring at it, "Qing Mu, what do you think he'll look like when he comes out? I really want to see..."
Seeing Hou Chi's eyes widening as she looked at the egg, Qing Mu laughed and said, "What's the rush? It will break out in a hundred years, so you'll know by then."
"There are still one hundred years..." Hou Chi seemed to sigh, and regretted, I'm afraid I won't be able to wait."
The second sentence was too low for Qing Mu to hear clearly, but seeing that Hou Chi seemed a little unhappy, his expression changed and he patted her on the head, then pulled out a red invitation from the ancient book and handed it to her.
"God Gu Jun has bought me half a month's worth of time from the Heavenly Emperor. I will not to the boundary of the two realms for the time being. This half month, I'll check the ancient books here to see if there are other ways. If you are bored, you could invite Feng Ran to stroll around in the Demon Realm. It will be the Demon Realm's New Year in a few days, and should be very lively."
After Qing Mu endured the Nine Heavens Profound Thunder, his status in the Three Realms was not what it used to be. The Demon Realm's New Year was hosted by the Demon Emperor and people of the Immortal Realm were never invited, but he sent an invitation to Qing Mu this time. Of course, God Gu Jun and Hou Chi received the same treatment in past years.
Looking at the eye-catching red invitation in his hand, Hou Chi blinked and said casually, "I remember that the day after the Demon Realm's New Year is the Heavenly Empress's birthday, right?"
Qing Mu paused, then nodded, "That's right." He hesitated, took out another invitation from the ancient book, and rubbed his eyebrows, "The Heavenly Palace sent this one, I don't think it's from the Heavenly Empress."
Hou Chi took a look, her mouth curling, "Should be the Heavenly Emperor, he's remembering his manners."
Seeing Hou Chi muttering, Qing Mu flicked her head, "Okay, don't think about it. Go back to Qingchi Palace to invite Feng Ran. If you leave for the Demon Realm now, you'll arrive earlier and be able to have some fun."
"Yeah, I also want to go out. You can stay on Liaowang Mountain to guard the house with Da Hei."
Hou Chi nodded. Looking at the egg in her hand, a trace of reluctance flashed across her eyes, but in the end, she was still cruel and threw it towards Qing Mu. Qing Mu caught it hurriedly, his face changing slightly, and he looked at Hou Chi helplessly.
Seeing Qing Mu's helpless expression, Hou Chi smiled awkwardly, waved her sleeve, turned, and ran out.
"I'm leaving!"
The red figure jumped onto an auspicious cloud and flew towards the sky. A vague goodbye sounded in the air. Qing Mu smiled and continued to bury his head in the ancient books.
There was not much time left. If he couldn't find a solution in this half month, he perhaps could only...
The auspicious cloud that disappeared above Liaowang Mountain circled around once. Instead of flying towards Qilian Mountain's Qingchi Palace, it passed through the nine layers of the sea of clouds and landed in the Mortal Realm.
The Netherworld and Mortal Realm were in the same world and were located at the bottom of the Nine Lands. Although it was controlled by the Heavenly Emperor and other immortals, it was not closely related to the Heavenly Palace. If she took the Soul-Suppressing Tower first, there was still more than enough time to grab the Spirit-Gathering Orb and Demon-Gathering Banner. In any case, Qing Mu and Feng Ran could not be involved in this matter.
Although the bottom of the Nine Lands was created at the border of the Wild Lands, the Soul-Suppressing Tower was a treasure of the Three Realms. Besides the guarding immortal deities, only the Heavenly Emperor knew where it was hidden.
If she had come to the Mortal Realm before, Hou Chi would be full of curiosity as she looked from here to there, but she had no such thoughts now. Relying on her memory of reading ancient books, she slowly released her spiritual energy. After searching for two days, Hou Chi finally found the Soul-Suppressing Tower buried underground in the dragon veins near the capital.
The aura in the Mortal Realm was no weaker than that of the royal dragon line. The Soul-Suppressing Tower's power must be strongest there. If it loses the Soul-Suppressing Tower, then the Mortal Realm...Understanding the immortals guarding the Nine Lands' intention of placing the Soul-Suppressing Tower there, Hou Chi's expression paused. She bit her lip, then flew towards the Soul-Suppressing Tower's location.
Liaowang Mountain.
Qing Mu, who had moved the ancient books to the yard, had his head lowered. Sensing the quick breaking of the air, he raised his head.
In midair, with a long whip stretched under her feet, a black-clothed Feng Ran broke out from the air. With a brave posture and slightly raised phoenix eyebrows, she was full of arrogance.
Seeing her in such a way, Qing Mu reluctantly tugged at the corners of his mouth. He lowered his head, about to continue searching, but realized that something was wrong and stood up abruptly.
Hou Chi returned to Qingchi Palace to invite her to the Demon Realm. Why did Feng Ran come here alone? As if he had guessed something, Qing Mu's face paled.
Feng Ran landed in the yar to see Qing Mu standing next to the icy coffin with a pile of books on the stone table. She smiled and said, "Qing Mu, you are very focused. Have you found a way yet?"
After asking, seeing that Qing Mu had no reaction, she looked around and said in a soft voice, "Why isn't Hou Chi guarding her precious Bo Xuan here? Woah, she's willing to leave!"
Hearing this, Qing Mu stiffened. He suddenly raised his head, a blood-red color faintly appearing at the bottom of her eyes, "Feng Ran, Hou Chi didn't go back to Qingchi Palace?"
The voice was too cold. Feng Ran paused. Feeling that the atmosphere was too solemn, she shook her head and whispered, "Hou Chi didn't come back. Qing Mu, what's wrong?"
Qing Mu lowered his head and slowly clenched his hands, but inadvertently glanced at Bo Xuan in the coffin. He seemed to have realized something, and his complexion changed drastically.
"Damn it, I didn't even notice." He whispered, his voice full of chagrin.
Feng Ran looked at the icy coffin. Seeing Bo Xuan's feet looming, his face stiffened, "Qing Mu, when did Bo Xuan start changing?"
"It should have been a few days ago." Recalling that Hou Chi's words and expressions were wrong, Qing Mu turned around and said, "Feng Ran, Hou Chi should have gone to the Mortal Realm to get the Soul-Suppression Tower."
"How do you know that she hasn't gone to the Demon Realm or the Immortal Realm?" Feng Ran raised her eyebrows and said.
"She wouldn't." Qing Mu shook his head. "The Demon Realm has its New Year in two days. The Demon Emperor will preside over the event and is bound to be negligent. It is the Heavenly Empress's birthday three days from now in the Heavenly Palace, so there will not be much contact between the Mortal Realm and two other realms. Hou Chi definitely wanted to take the Soul-Suppressing Tower first, and then go to the Demon Realm and Immortal Realm."
"Let's go stop her. Qing Mu, if Hou Chi really does this, even if God Gu Jun protects her, it will be heard for the Three Realms to tolerate her." Feng Ran said anxiously, turning around and preparing to go to the Mortal Realm.
"It's too late." Qing Mu grabbed her and said softly, his golden pupils shining brightly, "Feng Ran, it's too late."
"Then what should we do?"

You can kill somebody to get levels, and yet there is not even a form of police? Not gonna happen here. Man becomes suddenly overpowered in a world where people can live for thousands of years by having enough luck to face only lower-level people? Hahaha—nope. Lastly...Spaceships and fantasy with LitRPG... say what!? Well, what's wrong with that? Let's make it happen, shall we? *** You want even more info? Really? Alright...
