《Heart and Soul (Stingsu, Sting X Natsu)!》Chapter Five

It's been a little over an hour and a half since the new additions to the guild joined, the party was somehow ongoing, as it has been for almost a full 24 hours, and Cana is still drinking. Rogue was stolen from the party by Erza who wanted to have him "Try some of this establishments' fine desserts", who he recognized as the woman who defeated one hundred monsters single handedly who he did not want to cross for his safety might well depend on her first impression of him. It was unknown to most members but Erza had a tiny crush on the Shadow Dragon Slayer, it seems not even she was entirely hopeless in the romance department as many thought her to be. Sting was hanging out with Lucy and Natsu, but the latter of the two was fighting with a certain Ice Make wizard by the name of Gray Fullbuster. Lector and Frosch were with the other Exceeds, Happy and the aforementioned feline were both trying to gain the attention of a certain white cat. One attempting with fish, the other with sweet talk. After a bit more partying Makarov calls the Dragon Slayers outside, excluding Laxus who was beginning to have an identity crisis by being ignored, again.
"What is it, Gramps?" Natsu asks with a hint of annoyance as he was, apparently, going to beat Gray into the ground.
"Hmph-" The Master, completely aware of Natsu's attitude, says "I'm going to need you to train our newest Dragon Slayer's how to use Royal something whatnot. There's a job we need you to go on in three months, do you think you can teach them in time?"
"Of course! Gajeel managed to learn it in two and three quarters I'm sure they'll be able to learn in half the time" He says with a grin.
"What's that meant to mean salamander? You saying I'm slow!?" Gajeel hisses while butting heads with the Fire Dragon Slayer.
"Maybe that's exactly what I'm saying!" He replies. "What are yo-" he gets cut off by a large fist from Master slamming him down into the pavement.
"" he roars in annoyance. Gajeel immediately backs off and nods in understanding and, a now squished, Natsu puts up a thumbs up. He shrinks back down to normal size.
"If you don't mind me asking, Master what kind of job needs five Dragon Slayers capable of using Royal Soul?" a short blue haired girl asks, her name being Wendy.
Suddenly another voice joins the conversation, "You'll find out in due time" a girl sitting on the ledge of the roof above them says. She smiles down at the six of them, something about her smile made Sting and Rogue want to smile back.
"Who's she? Someone's kid?" Sting asks.
"Oh right, you haven't met her yet." Master says "She's Mavis, our first master.".
"W-what!?" Rogue starts, "But that's just a kid!".
"A-and isn't the First Master supposed to be long dead!?" Sting adds.
"Well she is dead... I think..." Natsu says while looking up at the, apparent, First Master and then scratches the back of his head "I don't think we really know what she is". She smiles down at them, and then floats down next to the Sixth Master.
"Yes, yes. Anyway we'll tell you more about the mission in three months." her smile slowly fading into a serious expression "And listen when I tell you that you all need to be ready, it's a big job but I have faith you can pull it off" her smile returning "I wish you goodluck and bid you goodnight" she slowly vanishes from sight.

"This guild is really cool..." Sting thinks out loud.
"Yea..." Rogue agrees with the same bewilderment.
After a few more hours of partying the two dragon slayers and their partners return to their inn. Luckily their rooms were in their name and not the guilds so they weren't kicked out and all their personal items were still there. The only item that was damaged was the cloak with the Sabertooth guild mark from Rogues room, the left shoulder was ripped clean off. While to outsiders it might not be a big deal, it was obviously meant to be a reminder or trigger. Instead of breaking down and crying like their old master probably wanted he scoffed and laughed at the childishness. 'Hmph, what a joke. Does he want us to fight him about this or something?' Rogue asks himself.
"Probably, always knew he was an ass but never knew how much" Sting replied from the door that connects their rooms. Rogue realized he spoke aloud instead of in his head. "Now that we've joined Fairy Tail we don't need to worry about them". But silently he added 'I hope'.
"Yea I hope you're right." Rogue sighs, "Goodnight"
"Night" he says while shutting the door between their rooms. But as it turned out they would have to deal with them in the morning, unfortunately.
"Hah!" a low ranked member of the now fourth strongest guild in Fiore, second being Blue Pegasus and third Lamia Scale, exclaimed while pointing at the banished Sabertooth members, "Look who's come back to beg for their spot in the guild!". Laughs erupted from other members surrounding them. A few taunts as well but the two didn't mind and responded with a laugh and taunt of their own.
"You really think we would want to rejoin the fourth strongest guild in Fiore?" Sting laughed. "You should be begging us to come back, we've already found a new guild!" he says while pointing to his left shoulder.
The surrounding crowd gasps, not only did they manage to join a new guild so quickly, but they've joined Fairy Tail. The now strongest guild in Fiore. "W-what!?" the previously laughing member who called them beggars exclaims. "W-hy would you join them!" he spat, clearly refusing to say Fairy Tail out of spite.
"Why not?" Rogue speaks up "You kicked us out, so we moved on, is there an issue with that?". After a moment's silence none of the Sabertooth members spoke, "Good, I'm glad.". With that the twins left the speechless guild where they stood and made their way to the train station where the rest of their guild was waiting for them. Natsu was complaining about how he should be allowed to walk, and for once, Gajeel seemed to agree and wanted to walk as well.
"Your not walking," Erza, the redhead in armor commanded "We can have Wendy cast that Troia spell that you like so much-"
"Yay!" Gajeel and Natsu yelled in unison, this might be the guilds first and last time they ever hear Gajeel say 'Yay'.
Before boarding the train the Dragon Slayers, with Laxus loitering around preparing to ask Wendy after, had the Troia spell cast on them to fix the issue. Sting and Natsu were both jumping around in joy as, for the first time in ages, both were not motion sick. Rogue was once again stolen by Erza, and the Exceeds were trying to stop a fight between Happy and Lector. It was about three hours into the train ride before the Dragon Slayers got motion sick again, and the guild knew that Natsu alone with his motion sickness was a pain, but four was too much. There was crying, puking, fights, and arguments until Wendy returned and cast the spell again, solving the problem. Half the guild passed out from exhaustion from the twenty minutes of motion sickness. Luckily the train ride was only two and a half hours longer before they would reach Magnolia. It was already decided that the Shadow and White Dragon Slayers would stay with Natsu so they could train easier before their mission in three months. The mission that the masters continued to refuse to tell them anything about until it was time. "Uhh," Lucy said while stretching "I cant wait till i get home. I'm gonna have a nice long bath and sleep in my own bed without people snoring around me.". Sting blushed at the thought of the blond bathing, and he wasn't the only one, but nobody noticed him and the salmon haired Dragon Slayer.

After arriving in Magnolia the dragon slayers, excluding Laxus and Wendy, began kissing the ground even though in total they had only twenty minutes of motion sickness, over two and a half hours ago! As the guild was heading towards the guildhall they walked through an entire parade dedicated to them. The two dragon slayers decided to try and hide in the middle of the crowd of guild members, which works for the most part until they start getting shoved to the front. Once they get shoved into view the crowd surrounding them gasps. "People of Magnolia!" The master yells, "I'd like to introduce our newest members! Sting Eucliffe, Rogue Cheney, Lector, and Frosch!"
There was a short silence from the crowd before it erupted in cheers. "Yeah!"
"Awesome!"
"Fairy Tail is so strong!"
"Could the guild get any cooler!?"
After about 30 more minutes of walking through the streets of Magnolia they arrived at their old guildhall. It was completely repaired and in even better shape than when they left for the S-Class trials. The mayor greeted the master and informed them as a gift and prize for their victory they're giving back the guildhall to the guild. Master was crying in gratitude, probably because he wouldn't have to pay for repairs, but nonetheless it was a heart touching moment. After more celebrations in the guild hall, which weren't as long lived as those in the capital, members started going home. The only people left were the three dragon slayers, Erza, Gray, Master, and a few others. "Uhhh, okay you two!" Natsu stood up and pointed at the other Dragon Slayers "I think it's time we head home so we can get you comfortable.". Sting didn't care too much what happened but he agreed nonetheless. Rogue was more than excited to get away from a certain redhead requipt Wizard.
"YES!" He shouted and ran for his luggage and practically yanked Frosch's arm out as he headed for the exit. Sting did the same, but not as violently, and then the three dragon slayers and their exceeds headed for Natsus.
Natsu and Happy lived in a small cottage outside of town, from the outside it looked overgrown, the four guests figured that it must be either a design choice or just poor upkeep. After entering the small cottage they realized it was in fact under kept if the filthy interior was any indication. Plates were laying around, and the sink was overflowing. Rogue nearly fainted but to Sting this was basically how he lived as well so he didn't think much of it. Rogue almost instantly started cleaning up and refused to sleep in such a filthy home. "Fine fine, just don't touch that board or any of those," he said while gesturing at a board covered in job listings and some items that must've been from some of his adventures. "The day after tomorrow we will start your training, for now just get some rest and get used to Fairy Tail.". After explaining what to expect the fire mage retired for the night.
Rogue forced Sting to help clean up as the Exceeds were given a tour of the items and jobs that Natsu went on, by Happy, who shared some stories. It was nearly three hours later when the shadow dragon slayer was finally satisfied with the cleanliness of the house. Apparently tomorrow he was going to trim the overgrowth and invited Sting to help, which roughly translated to 'Sting your going to help me or your going to regret it'. Somehow the blue cat was still talking about how he saved Natsu and the others countless times, which the white dragon slayer thought very well might be true. Sting was somehow feeling restless so went to explore the woods surrounding the cottage.
He was walking around for about thirty minutes until he came to a stop and climbed a tree that overlooked the forest and magnolia in the distance. The sky was completely clear and he could see the stars. There were multiple times as a child he would just lay down on a hilltop and wonder what a star would taste like, it was stupid but he still wonders from time to time. Would it taste like the light from a lamp or maybe something different. Spicy, or something soft and sweet. He sat there contemplating for around ten minutes before he decided to head back. Back-
...
..
.
Back
"Crap! I don't know where I am!" he yelled to himself frantically, 'Not even a week and i've already embarrassed myself'. After another forty five minutes of wandering he finally found his way back to the house. Only after bumping into a Volcan, a swarm of bugs, and nearly falling into a pond. As soon as he managed to get inside he changed into his nightwear, which is just some shorts with no top. As soon as he hit the mattress he fell asleep. He dreamt about his and the other dragon slayers meeting with the masters of Fairy Tail and the kind of adventures he might go on. But eventually he slipped into nothingness.

Party Leveling
{A new notification has arrived.} In front of a few people, these hologram-looking messages appeared and changed their lives in entirely different forms. Things such as growing stronger, becoming smarter, feeling more agile, became possible within short periods of time from that point onwards. The one who regretted his weak healing abilities for years began to chase after the magic powers that could turn reason and sense upside down while keeping his goal, this duty to the wrongs he committed. The other one, who complained about his lack of strength, strove towards the path of an unbeatable champion to protect those he held dear. When the person who had everything found a path to desire for more, not fearing the consequences and the obstacles, he also began to walk onwards to a new life. And among them, the one who walked aimlessly but also never stepped down on the choices he made along the way, was the one who couldn’t be ignored nor disrespected by anyone. The “Player” system that they all obtained, and which granted them several abilities, knowledge and directions, was also the beginning of an entire new era in this world where monsters, magic and technology, were already common and wide-spread. There’s not a single hero, but after committing mistakes after mistakes, learning from the painful and thorny path that they take, and growing as people with the people that surround them, then someday... there will certainly be saviors. Rebirth of Destiny I
In a world where magical runes called Rebirths rest in the hands of hostile nations, fourteen-year-old Aiden lived a quiet life in a small town conveniently named Khalm. Born with crescent-shaped irises and silver hair, young Aiden was never bothered by his unusual birthmarks until the night his life as a simple delivery boy changed. He was the 'Rebirth Destroyer', someone ruling powers deemed a threat. Chased by death and the foretelling of the world ending by his hands, Aiden soon finds that there are few people he can trust. My stories are fantasy-based and heavily influenced by classic Final Fantasy games ( by classic I mean 1-10 ) and other Japanese Role-Playing Games I used to enjoy, with one difference; the main characters are Black. July 2022 update! After months of deliberation, I've decided to continue with this cast of characters in the next books instead. The loose ends in this story have been keeping me up all night. I've gotten started on 2 sequels to this; Rebirth of Destiny II based on the good ending and the alternative ending. After I get a good backlog built up they'll be published once a week.

Unlimited Phantasm
DEATH While there is a difference as to when a person or object will "end," it is certain that they will all arrive at that point because death is not something that "arrives," but rather is something already contained within an object at its creation and certainly bound to happen as part of the principle of causality.
