《Heart and Soul (Stingsu, Sting X Natsu)!》Chapter Seven

It's been just over a week since Rogue and Sting sparring session. They were now in a clearing, along with Natsu, Lucy, and their exceed companions. The blond came to watch as she was curious, but also bored. All of her teammates were out on jobs and she doesn't like doing them solo. 'I wonder if she's scared of solo jobs or doesn't think she can do them...' Sting wondered, 'I mean she's far from weak she could probably hold her own against me for a while...'.
"Okay you guys ready?" Natsu asked.
"Yeah/Sure" the two dragon slayers responded.
"Okay remember, focus on the image of a dragon. But remember to focus on you being the dragon." He explained, probably for the four hundredth time that week alone.
"Yeah, yeah lets get this over with already!" He wasn't annoyed, but dying of excitement.
"So impatient..." Rogue mumbled.
"Oh, shut it! You're just as excited as I am, you hardly slept last night!" Sting retorted.
"Because a certain white dragon slayer wouldn't shut up!" Rogue replied ticked off.
"Stop your fighting, we want to see it already!" The celestial wizard exclaimed from where she was sitting with the cats.
The two took a few paces to give each other adequate room for the transformation. They looked at each other before they sat down and began to meditate to increase their concentration. 'Be the dragon Sting, be the dragon' The white dragon slayer repeated to himself over and over. After a few minutes of this the two stood up. ""
"". Natsu told them to use their Drives to increase their magic energy beforehand, he explained it might help them when they're first getting the hang of it.
Lucy was smiling as the cats cheered. "Go Sting! You're the best you can do it!" Lector's cheered.
"Fro thinks Rogue can do it too!" The small green cat dressed as a frog cheered.
"" They yelled together. A blinding light began shining from the two. After a few seconds a loud earth rumbling roar was heard. After the light dissipated a large Black scaled dragon, with fins that traveled down the side of its back between its wings off the end of its tail, the fins and wings appeared to be made of shadows themselves, was standing. It had large red eyes reminiscent of Skiadrum but were smaller and, somehow, appeared kinder. Sting, on the other hand, was missing.
"Yay, Rogue did it!" Frosch yelled in excitement. The brown Exceed on the other hand...
"W-where's Sting!?" Lector cried. Everyone was shocked, except Frosch who was jumping side to side dancing in celebration. Natsu walked towards where Sting was standing, while Lector was misty eyed with tears running down his cheeks. 'W-where'd Sting go!?' He kept asking himself hoping that he was dreaming or that this was a nightmare of some sort.
Suddenly Natsu started laughing, and not a chuckle, but a full on outburst like the one Sting had in the kitchen doorway a month ago. "T-this is too funny," He walked forward a bit and knelt down. "Lucy, Happy, get the photo Lacrima!" He picked up whatever was on the ground, at first it looked like a cotton ball or some kind of fluffy dog... but upon further observation it became obvious. A fluffy, tiny, adorable- baby- he turned into a baby dragon instead of an adult one. The baby had thick white fur around its neck and a bit on his back. The fur, unlike Sting's father Weislogia, was snow white. It's scales were the same color but were reflective. He also lacked horns, or maybe they were covered by the fur. He had a bit on his wings and some on his belly. He was at the moment struggling in Natsu's grip before he walked over and put him down. "He's adorable!" Natsu said as he watched baby dragon sting sit down and cross his arms before falling on his face.

"Aww!" Lucy was petting him much to his discomfort. "Can he understand us, or is he full on baby?" She asked turning to the Fire Dragon Slayer. Sting started nodding his head to signify he could understand them. He tried to speak but all that came out was a chirp/click. He immediately covered his mouth.
"Well anyway ignoring that... " Natsu turned to Rogue, "Good job seems like you had no issues with it!"
Rogue nodded then, also, chirped. He also immediately covered his mouth in embarrassment. But he started giggling, "" He raised a claw and pointed at little Sting who looked extremely angry.
"I'm guessing he put too much thought into how he'd look..." Natsu explained "and he wanted to be adorable or maybe fluffy or something like that," he gestured to the small Sting who was pouting, which was extremely adorable, "Then that happened. But he is so cute!".
'That's nice and all but I don't know how to turn back' he tried to say but ended up making squeaks and chirps that made everyone go 'aww'. He tried to facepalm but ended up falling over, he tried to lay down to make it look intentional but was picked up by Lucy.
"I almost want him to stay like this" She sighed.
He chirped angrily at her, 'No way!' he thought.
"Yeah," Natsu came over and picked him up out of her hold and held him up, "But I'm sure those chirps are just him screaming at us to help him change back."
He nodded furiously before chirping more. 'Yes!' he was screaming.
"Okay, just think about being human. Your hands, eyes, maybe your hair... I don't know!" He explained, it seemed even he was confused. "You'll be able to do it no problem later but for now that might work.". Within a few seconds Rogue was glowing and shrinking in size back into his normal appearance. He stumbled over obviously a bit exhausted. 'Can't blame him, when I first started learning I'd pass out after detransforming...' He thought to himself. "You okay Rogue?"
"Yeah just tired..." Dismissing Natsu's worry.
"I'll help him!" She walked over to Rogue and helped him stand.
~~~~~~~<>With Erza<>~~~~~~
*Shiver* "Erza?" She looked up to see Cana looking at her.
"Yeah?" The redhead asked.
"You cold or something?" The drunk asked.
"Na-" *Shiver* Erza's eyes widened and then she growled. "Another woman has just touched my Rogue..." a dark aura flared around her.
"What?" Cana asked, confused to what the redhead meant and how she would know.
Erza looked up and smiled. "Oh nothing, you know me!"
"Oki" Cana said, watching Erza stand and leave the guild hall.
<>With the Dragon Slayers<>
"Come on Sting, I know you can turn back!" Lector cheered "You're the best!".
"Come on Sting, we don't have all day. The others already left!" Natsu complained while holding the small dragon in front of him. "Uhh Lector you can go catch up to the others I guess..."
"Fine- I'm getting cold anyway... I'll just go in Lucy's shirt." The little exceed sprouted wings and then flew away but not before getting worried glances from the two others.
"Why can't you turn back?" Natsu pondered.
Sting squeaked in response.
"What do you think you're not cute enough when you're normal?" Natsu asked blatantly. It wasn't a weird question, he was adorable in this form. But the question caught Sting off guard. Of course it wasn't like he could respond or something so squeaks with no meaning worked fine. "What? Can I not say you're adorable when you look like this?".
Sting sighed, 'Natsu really is an oblivious idiot sometimes'.
"Well don't worry you're adorable either way" Sting squeaked nervously. "Hmm, if you turn back i'll buy you one of those body pillows that heats up, you and your weird habit of hugging things while you sleep..." Sting chirped. He did want one but could never find one in stock in Magnolia. And didn't exactly feel like carrying one back from another town/during a job. Only issue was that bribery wasn't the problem, he just couldn't do it. He whined and pawed at the ground. "Hmm- not good enough huh?" Sting, as ferociously as he could, started barking. "Okay, okay... well I don't know what else to do. Come on Lector wants you back to normal... and you're not gonna let Rogue show you up are you?" Sting growled and closed his eyes to concentrate. Sadly when he opened them he was still tiny. "Look's like you'll be sleeping like that then" he laughed. Sting was a bit annoyed that he was finding it funny that he was stuck like that. "Come on let's go. If we're lucky you'll run out of magic energy overnight and turn back."
Sting huffed 'Guess that's the best idea we got anyway... but I am NOT walking back with these tiny legs.'. He started scratching Natsu's legs to get his attention.
"What now... you want to be carried or something?" Sting nodded viciously. "Fine...". Natsu squatted down and picked up the small, albeit fluffy, lizard. He held him like a baby, which Sting approved and then pointed his talon in the direction of the road and chirped. Natsu began running causing Sting to bounce a bit with each stride.
It wasn't long before they caught up with the others who laughed a bit that Sting still couldn't transform back. He just chirped angrily at the group.
"Seems like you'll need to talk to Mira about transformation magic" Happy thought aloud.
"Nah, it's too different even if the end result is similar." Natsu replied.
"Meh. I'm hungry, where's my fish?" Happy asked as they walked.
"No idea..." The fire dragon slayer replied. He looked down at tiny Sting who was looking around. "Seems like someone's enjoying being carried." Sting chirped happily in response.
After about half an hour more of walking they finally reached the cottage. Lucy parted ways with them already and it was already dark out. After they all shuffled in, with the exception of Sting who was, still, being carried. "There, happy now?" he asked while putting the cotton ball down. He chirped then stretched like a cat. Well, an actual cat. He ran over to the kitchen and pawed the door, signaling someone to open it.
Rogue sighed and walked over and opened the door for the 'Handicapped' dragon slayer. "There, now what you want. Jerky or something?" Sting chirped in response to jerky, it was his favorite snack for when he got home. Rogue went to the freezer box and pulled out a few sticks, "Never gonna understand how you like them when they're this cold..." Sting growled at him for insulting his personal food choices. He crouched down and held them out to Sting who grabbed all three in his mouth and proceeded to climb up onto the kitchen table. Eating them without opposable thumbs was harder than he would've liked, they kept falling out of his mouth. Eventually he got the hang of it and managed to eat the three. He went into the living room where he and Rogue sleep. He found Rogue talking to Natsu about learning how to use his dragon form. Flying, using his magic, and a few other things that they didn't get to do today.
Sting tried to jump on the bed but was unable, unlike the kitchen table it didn't have chairs with rungs he could use to climb up. Natsu noticed the predicament and came to his rescue and picked him up and put him down on the bed. "There better?" Sting chirped and walked over to his pillow and tried to get comfortable. Sadly he couldn't get his paws around one of them to hug while he slept, and grew frustrated and growled. This perked the others' attention and they watched the pitiful performance of Sting trying to hug a pillow, then a bundled up blanket, and a few other items he had on his bed. "Can he sleep with you?" Natsu asked Rogue.
"Nope, never again. Fell asleep once on a mission and nearly suffocated because of him" Rogue explained.
"Uhh fine," Natsu approached Stings bed and sat down. "Want to hug my arm or something?" He asked. If Sting wasn't so picky and needy he would have said no, but nodded and chirped sheepishly. "Fine," Natsu layed down on the bed, "here you can hug this." He outstretched his hand/arm over to where he was sitting. Sting grabbed it and started to hug and cuddle it. It didn't take long for the house to grow quiet with the snores of the twin dragon slayers and the exceeds. Natsu began to get up and tried to pull his hand away but Sting, even while sleeping, hugged it tighter and growled. "Uhh.." Natsu groaned 'looks like I'm sleeping here tonight...'. He laid down and used his one free hand to adjust the blankets and his pillow before he joined them in his slumber. Unconsciously he pulled his hand back causing Sting to wake up a bit, but he dragged himself over to him and pulled on his arm and began hugging it again. He was too needy for his own good.
Right as Rage
Only 15 years have passed since the miscreant god, Villi, stole magic from the gods and gave it to mortals. In response the mortals seem to be doing their best to squander this gift. The Kingdom of Abrune regulates it, the church of the Sacred Hierarchies outright condemns it, but one 'wildman' from across the sea begins his journey after being cursed by it. Vakdragnar's curse manifests when he loses his temper. It has driven everyone he’s ever cared about away from him. Out of options and money, he travels to the city of Tirough and quickly finds himself on the wrong side of the law. He is persecuted despite his intentions to do good. How can you stand against evil if everyone you’re trying to protect thinks you’re the villain? And if this curse is truly a part of him now, what if they’re right? **************************************************************************************************** Right as Rage is a story I’ve been excited to write for some time now.
