《BNHA Truth or Dare》Chapter 5: Spin the Bottle Games

~No one's POV~
The game went on like this for ages. Momo and Jirou then found out who won their little bet, Momo gave Jirou $20 dollars. Everyone was either gay, pans or bi. Literally, no one was straight, except Mineta but who cares about him. It was Hagakure's turn to spin the bottle now and it landed on Izuku. She giggled and the headband that was on her head faced towards the huddle of girls that sat together when everyone got up for a break.
"Midoriya, Truth Or Dare?" Hagakure chirped.
"Truth."
"Come on Deku, don't be a wuss!!!" Bakugo was yelling at Midoriya.
"Fine, Dare..."
"I dare you to... do 7 minutes in heaven with... Todoroki!" Some of the girls screamed.
~Izuku POV~
Hagakure spun the bottle and it slowly landed on me. I gulped. I hated it landing on me.
"Midoriya, Truth or Dare?" Hagakure spoke in a chirpy voice. It was kinda creepy, seeing as we couldn't really see her.
"Truth." I was not getting caught in a dare.
"Come on Deku, don't be a wuss!!!" Bakugo was yelling at me from opposite the circle. Honestly, Bakugo yelling at me, what's new.
"Fine, Dare..." I already regret my decision. Why did I ever listen to Bakugo.
"I dare you to..." I gulped, why was she hesitating? "do 7 minutes in heaven with..." oh no, now I was really in trouble. Please don't be Todoroki. Please don't be Todoroki. Please don't be To- "Todoroki!" WHY DO YOU HATE ME, GOD?!!! A few of the girls giggled. I never knew that someone as sweet as these girls could be actual spawns of the devil. I hesitantly stood up towards Todoroki who was sitting on the other side of Aoyama. Todoroki stood as well. His face was as red as the left side of his hair. Uraraka and Hagakure stood up and pushed Todoroki and me into a closet behind us. Since when was that there? My face grew warmer as they closed the door, giggling like the demons they were. I gulped for like the 50th time this night and stared at Todoroki with scared eyes. His eyes were beautiful. His right held pools of silver and opal. The left showed the brightest traces of Lapis Lazuli ever. Both shone with astonishing power. I looked down embarrassed. Why am I embarrassed? It's only Todoroki. The boy to whom I've had a crush on for a long time now, no big deal. Oh God, I'm so fucked.

~Todoroki POV~
Uraraka and Hagakure pushed us into the cupboard and I couldn't help but feel happy that it was with Midoriya. They closed the door, but not before starting in a fit of giggles. Once they closed the door, the little strawberry gazed up at me. I just wished I knew what he was thinking. I gazed into his eyes. He had emerald embedded in pools of Jade. I could get lost in them forever, but sadly, all things come to an end, and this was Midoriya looking down. I walked closer to him, trying not to make him uncomfortable. He shot his head back up and stared back at me.
"T-Todoroki? Wh-What a-are yo-u d-doing?" He couldn't get a single word out without stammering. So cute! I tried to set the mood and take advantage of the now 6 minutes we had.
"Midoriya, before when we were playing Truth or Dare, you said you had a crush on a boy. Who is this boy?" Midoriya faced his head back down. Was he going to tell me? I didn't expect him to. I truly wonder who it is.
~Izuku POV(again)~
"Midoriya, before when we were playing Truth or Dare, you said you had a crush on a boy. Who is this boy?"
I didn't expect Todoroki to ask this. I looked back down. Was now the right time to confess? Would he return my feelings? I was so nervous. I kept my head down while speaking.
"I-I actually ha-have a-a cr-crush o-on yo-you..." I stammered out like an idiot. Of course, he wouldn't return my feelings, I'm just a stupid little fanboy who stammers a lot when nervous. Who would love me? I was worthless. All the things that Kacchan had said to me came back, but the thing, in particular, that stood out was Kacchan told me to kill myself. 'you know, if you wanna be a hero so badly there might actually be another way. Just pray you'll have a quirk in your next life and take a swan dive off a building.' These words hurt me more than anything had ever hurt me and I had spent my life being discriminated and tortured for wanting to be a hero without a quirk. I suddenly felt two fingers under my chin lifting my head up. "Oh Midoriya, no need to be nervous. Is this enough of a returned feeling?" Before I could answer or be confused lips were placed on mine. They were probably the softest lips in the world. I was shocked but then started to kiss back.

Blood Demon's Retirement
Civil War had raged on the Al-Shan Archipelago for the past four decades, only recently coming to an end with the enthronement of the new Emperor. This is not his story. The Blood Demon, renowned general of said civil war, was tired of all the fighting and politicking that had described the last four decades of her existence. All she really wanted to do now is to go out into the world and see the many lands from her father's stories. Thus she retired, and went and did exactly what she wanted. This is the story of what happens when you toss a (retired) war machine with somewhat lacking common sense into an unsuspecting world at peace. Chapters will range from 1-2.5k words, scheduled for release every day from Monday to Friday. First time posting a story on Royal Road here, hoping you folks will enjoy. Expect: -slow going slice of life with occassional faster paced action -world building -detailed anecdotes on the world, its races, the magic system, and whatnot every now and then Do not expect: -romance, other than maybe some passing mentions -politics, again, barring passing mentions Any comments, reviews, and criticism will be much appreciated. And thank you for reading. ---------------------------- Disclaimer: This story is my original work and only posted on the Royal Road and Scribblehub websites. If you should find this story elsewhere or under another name, please let me know. Also please don't be too hard on me when I make occasional grammatical mistakes, English is my third language after all. XD Edit suggestions are very welcome though. Discord

Fade
The story follows the life of John Grimshaw. From tragic beginnings to hopeful ends, John embarks on a quest for meaning. When visiting the cemetery he meets a girl named Jennifer Stone, a youthful teenager who quickly becomes a safety raft for John in turbulent times. But nothing could have prepared John for when he met the man in the pinstripe suit. The man with bright eyes, dark skin, and gleaming white teeth. The man claiming to the impossible and break the thin ice below John's feet entirely. (ADDITIONAL DISCLAIMER) This story starts off relatively dark. Those who dislike subject material surrounding loss, depression, grief, should probably not read. With that said, the story evolves into a supernatural thriller past the initial chapters. It’s a comparably low fantasy for a website like this but hope some of you still enjoy it.

But instead of safety, every step brings them closer to danger: sky pirates, cannibals, and a relentless soulless scourge unleashed by their enemy are all intent on killing Lian—or worse. Death, Aralt realizes, might be the greater mercy. ---------------------------------------------------------- What to Expect: Character-driven Plot Novel Pacing (which I accept isn't typical for serials) Elaborate Worldbuilding (you gotta pay attention) Soul-bonded Swords Sentient Wolves Longish Chapters What Not to Expect: Litrpg (sorry!) Harem (not sorry!) Magic System Short Chapters Dancing Bears (at least so far) Seriously, this is a second-world low fantasy/science-fantasy featuring a strong, but flawed male protagonist, a cheeky teenage boy that’s driving him crazy, a wee bit o’ Scots flavor, and a whole lot of culture clashing. I’m preparing to relaunch this story on Kindle once the second and third books are ready and I’d love some feedback as I move through those revisions. I'm serious about the feedback. All comments are welcome. I'll name a characters after you. And kill them, if you want. :) Oh, did I mention soulless assassins and cannibals? Yeah, Aralt’s day is not getting any better. cover image by brosedesignz
